Trusting God Day by Day: 365 Daily Devotions

About a year ago, I purchased my first devotional because I wanted to build my relationship with God and I thought devotionals were a good way to start. I really enjoyed the ones I purchased then and came across this one a couple months ago when I started searching for other ones. I hadn't read anything by Joyce Meyer but had heard enough good things about her books so I decided to give it a chance. This devotional is perfect for the individual who wants to develop a deeper relationship with God by gradually trusting Him. Many times we think we know what's best but that isn't always the case (at least this is true for me). I have some areas in my life where I can't handle them alone so I decided to turn to God with them for some help. I've only had this devotional for a month and a half and it's helping me a lot already! I love how a lot of these devotionals are made for busy people who only have a few minutes to read one of these every day and that's enough to read them. The devotions are dated so I just started with the date when I got this in the mail. There are 365 devotions and it would be nice if there was a devotion for February 29th but you could remedy that by rereading a previous devotion or skipping ahead to a random one. Each day starts with a theme and a Bible verse that pertains to the devotion's theme, most of which are taken from The Amplified Bible, unless otherwise noted. Then the bulk of the devotion is Joyce's thoughts and evidence taken from the Bible about how we could change our attitude about casting our cares (October 9th), being a blessing to others (October 6th), and handling whatever life hands us (August 24th), just to name a few. Some of it is her life experience which really helps to put the devotion into perspective. Finally, the devotion ends with a "Trust in Him" section which gives some questions or statements to think about. I'd say each devotion takes no longer than two or three minutes to read, especially if you read it at a slower pace to digest it more. I purchased the hardcover edition since I like the idea of holding my devotionals. This one is beautiful and has a yellow rose set against a green weathered, hardwood backdrop. It has 437 pages and the book measures 5 1/4 inches by 7 1/4 inches by 1 3/8 inches. It's a good size so you can stick it in your purse, backpack, briefcase, or other piece of luggage. It isn't gender-specific like some devotionals so I feel both men and women could enjoy this devotional. I love how the devotions are always what I need to hear that day and it's always something I can work on. Optimally, I like to read this right when I wake up, before the chaos of the morning starts so I have time to think about what I've read. There have been times when I haven't gotten to read it until the afternoon and I'm agitated and a bit more irritable than usual so I strive to read it early in the morning. For me, this is a great mood-booster and it's helping me trust God more. I've only had it for a month and a half but I love it already and feel it's helping me a lot. I purchased a couple other devotionals by Joyce Meyer but this is the one I keep coming back to. I was excited enough to get it that I ordered one for my sister and she loves it too! If you are a busy person who wants to start (or continue) trusting God more and you want to read a daily devotional, this is a great option. It also makes a great gift and I highly recommend it!

I'm not a big reviewer unless I truly love the item. This devotional is the perfect length for a busy person and helps you view things differently when faced with difficult times. I recently purchased it because of a lack of trust for God due to suffering severe depression and anxiety for many years. I have read almost a months worth of devotions and really enjoy it. I find that it doesn't minimize your problems like some devotional can but it just helps you to see them from a different perspective. I will definitely be recommending this to others.

I do love what Joyce Meyer says in this this book, however I have one complaint about it. All the Bible verses use the Amplified Bible version, which to me is very distracting with the parentheses and different interpretations within the quoted verse. It may seem like a small matter, but for a first thing in the morning meditation, I would prefer a straight NIV or NKJV verse.

I am college student, and was looking for something short but also personal. "Trusting God Day by Day" offers a verse, a short summary, and a challenge for you to reflect on. I have only read about a months worth of devotionals, but this book seems to encourage tackling negativity and guilt. I highly recommend this book for someone who wants to work on becoming more positive and understand God's grace more intimately.

I read this book/devotional everyday and I love it. When I am needing a "word from the Lord" God will give me a page number and I turn to that page and it gives me just what I need at the moment or for that day. So I rarely read it on "the day" that it is! I read it on "other days" that God gives me. It is a supernatural devotional. God speaks to me through these pages. It is so wonderful!!

Excellent! Down to earth devotionals reminding me that Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not a church. Many churches do not address real life issues, Joyce Meyers reminds us that God meets us where we are; in our home, in our workplace, and through every second of our own lives, with our own real ups and downs. I've heard about trusting the Lord all my life but still felt I had to measure up . This Joyce Meyer book reminded me that God doesn't want m to fit in, he wants me to follow him! Thank you Joyce Meyers!

I am so thankful for this book. It’s truly teaching me and also allowing me to look directly to the Bible and to God’s word for faith and trust in God. I can truly say that my life anxiety and worry has been tested and basically removed since I began reading this devotional. The title tells exactly what this book allows readers the peace and rest to do. Which is to ultimately trust God in everything we do. Highly recommend if you’re like I used to be a worrywort, over planner, nervous wreck, over thinker, over analyzer, etc. Meyers uses easy to understand language and tone, and real life stituations to help connect what the Bible says about trusting God.

I have had a copy of this devotional for years, and it was marked up all over. So often, when I'd read it, I would think of my daughter, and think, "She needs this!" So, recently, I took a trip to visit her, and gave her my copy of "Trusting God Day by Day". After I got home, I missed it so much, that I ordered another copy. While I've never been a huge fan of Joyce Meyer (I've listened to her a few times, but not much), I highly recommend this devotional as one which challenges us to be who God created us to be, and to walk in the Spirit, not in the flesh! It has challenged me to grow closer to God.

I looked her up & she seems to have had a very difficult past and multiple living experiences that have impacted the truth she has been able to preach. These devotional are sweet and simple in nature- yet pack a punch! They are an easy, quick read but have BIG applicable, convicting, messages that teach truth and bless me every time I read this. The days I read this in the morning have a huge effect on my actions and thoughts during the day. I’m actually gifting this one and have gifted multiple copies for anyone I feel needs some encouragement or love or is going through a rough time.

Just completed reading this devotional today, Dec 31st. It is one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I looked forward to it each day and learned from it. The author spoke to things I face and often used her own life experiences as she explained the verse for the day. Each day’s reading ends with a short summary to ponder. Highly recommend.

I’m pretty new at devotionals. I had one years ago but never really kept up with it. I decided to give this one a try based on reviews and I’m so glad I did! It’s very easy to read, not too long, and the author has a great way of wording her words so that everyone can relate. I keep a highlighter inside my book so I Can highlight some of her words of wisdom. GREAT BOOK!

This is a wonderful devotional. Since I have purchased this, God has spoken directly to me through her. Have shared my daily devotion with my Pastor & well she in agreement that God is speaking to me directly. Which she knows the things I am going through and asking God to help me. I am being blessed every day! I highly recommend this devotional to anyone who needs to have real life issues spoken to you. You will surely grow in your relationship with God. And that is what He desires for us to be close to Him. Blessings❣️

I have several devotional apps on my phone that I have been reading for years. I like them but I felt like I wasn't really getting an understanding of the Word. This book was recommended on Youtube and I ordered it immediately. From the very first devotion I was hooked! I look forward to reading the devotions every day. I love this book so much. I think I'm going to buy one for my best friend and daughter. HIGHLY recommended!

I love reading Joyce Meyer and listening to her on YouTube . She has been helping me alot to get closer to God and know truth . I bought it for me and my kids to read a page a day and they like it and it helps us . Very easy to read and inspirational. We are trusting God everyday

I always have more than one devotional book to read. Actually I used four this year, two electronic and two paperback books. I love both, but in my paperback books i also keep thank you cards, notes written to myself, quotes on sticky notes, little prayer cards I inherited from my Grandma Flossie's bible. So the question I wrestle with this year is so I go completely electronic.

My girlfriend really loves this devotional, it helps her start her day out right as she says "Joyce Meyer is an inspiration to all." Each day's devotion starts with a passage of scripture and is in relation to that scriptural passage. Each day's devotion is about a page long so it's very easy to put into your daily schedule to get some much needed daily devotional time with God. Helping you to become a little closer to God by gaining trust and putting faith in him daily with examples from Joyce's daily life. This book sometimes comes off as a little girly to me (because of the cover) but I ain't gonna lie, I read it most days myself too along with my girlfriend.

I’ve used this devotional for a year now and I really enjoyed it. I was going through a big trial in my life and while I won’t say this devotional is the answer to all your problems I will say that it helps you clear your mind when you are faced with many emotions towards your situation. I really enjoyed that it was short and sweet and had a bible verse each day. It was good for daily reminders. I also really enjoyed how the author spoke.

I bought this for my daughter who is in her first year of college all the down in Texas (we're from Minnesota). This is a wonderful devotional and I know my daughter will enjoy reading it as we have often watched and listened to Joyce Meyers. We like the way she says it how it is, no candy coating, lol 🙂 I'll feel good knowing my daughter has a great go to devotional to start her day.

Absolutely amazing. I am not a super religious person that goes to church every Sunday or has read the Bible through and through and can quote verses off the top of my head. But I do have strong faith and wish that I had more time to do all that. With a busy work schedule, this book makes me feel closer to God without feeling overwhelmed. It’s just enough to read every day and it actually makes me anxious to read more!! Definitely recommend this book to anyone. This is so inspirational and so uplifting to my day and I’m learning more and more.

What can I saw Joyce Meyer's is amazing women of God. She gives you something to think about and improve on everyday! I love that she teaches us how to live our lives, not just about God's love for us. Knowing how to act, how to love, how to get our emotions under control, and renewing our minds with God's word in of it's self will show you how much God loves us. What God wants for us is what's best and is what will bring blessing up blessing into our lives. It will bring strengthened trust, and peace. Not many are out there that will talk about what we should be doing in our daily lives. What Joyce teaches is not always easy but improving on ones self is important to be more like Jesus. I love anything by Joyce Meyer! I actually bought this as a gift for a relative going through some heath issues. My relative would text and tell me how much she enjoyed the daily reading not knowing I didn’t have my own book. Well, I’ve purchased a few books since then and we can all read and discuss the daily devotional together! Buy this book for yourself and bless a friend or relative with one too! You’ll be blessed!

I enjoyed this devotional for 2021. It was just what I needed each day. Joyce started with scripture then commentary then a point to ponder. Thank you for a great devotional.

I am a huge Joyce Meyer listener. She is an excellent teacher of the Word of God. She teaches individuals how to have a real and genuine relationship with Jesus and what that looks like on a daily basis. Most churches do not even talk about the daily walk and how to go about it....maybe due to the short amount of time on Sunday. This devotional is packed with amazing and practical teaching that will touch your heart and open your mind. Of all my devotionals this is one of my favorites.

Along with my Bible, this book is my every morning go-to devotional. Each days lesson is amazingly inspiring and very relatable. I have both the hardcover and Kindle versions so that I don’t miss a day to enjoy each lesson regardless of where I happen to be. I have also purchased additional copies to give as gifts. I absolutely love this book!

I get a yearly devotional every January. This one is by far the best I have read. Very good and inspiring lessons. I may read it again next year😊

Amazing study!! I saw Joyce at a conference and she's just really that good. This study so far has helped me in recognizing MY issues and how to fix them. Her studies are right to the point and if they offend...well maybe you need to look at yourself since she's been there done that. I send these dailies to my best friend every day so she can learn too. I highly recommend!!

This is a fabulous devotional because it covers real issues the average person encounters in their daily life. It is a great mix of encouragement & wisdom balanced with a loving kick in the pants when needed, which is Joyce's style & I love it. It's a great book to strengthen your walk with God.

I wanted to start getting back into my faith a little bit, this book helps me everyday with something to think about in God's perspective as well as your everyday life! I either read in the morning before work or right before bed and would highly suggest to anyone, I am a 24 year old female and really enjoy it everyday!

I'm only a few days into this book but I have really enjoyed it. If I had to just pick one thing to critic it would be that the days are dated so if you jump ahead or miss a day, the dates are incorrect. I would love to just have 365 entries that I could do as many or as little as I wanted. Again, that is just me picking it apart.

Im sorry, but I didn't care for it. The author used Scripture to describe day to day happenings and sometimes it seemed like she was really reaching. I know that the Bible can be referenced for almost anything that happens in life, but this book was filled with mediocre examples, in my opinion. I returned it.

Loved this daily devotional. Very necessary for each day. Highly recommend for everyone for trusting God in our daily living.

I just love this meditation book. I start my day the right way, with God.

OMG!! I love this book. Every day she gives you something to think about. This is a wonderful book and I highly recommend it for everyone in the universe. She tells stories that will warm your heart. This book gives me hope every day. Love it!!!

Very positive- inspiring- not preachy- apply the daily word to your life- almost similar wording as some of Joel Osteens’s messages - Ive listened to Joyce Meyer- She seemed to come across harsh and unfriendly in her services but I truly enjoy this book- I may start watching / listening to her on tv

If you're looking for a practical and easy devotional for daily reflection and to help strengthen your relationship with God, this is for you. The passages are only a page long but they're powerful and relatable. I found a few of the stories, so far, have been exactly what I have needed and have since strengthen my relationship with God and has brought some peace and relief into my life. I would highly recommend this book.

Gave this to my assistant at work for Christmas. She is a huge Joyce Meyer fan, so I thought it would be the perfect gift, it was. She was so excited to get it. The book is very well made and is nicely laid out, perfect gift for someone else or for yourself. I plan on purchasing more, as I am a huge fan of giving books for gifts and having a collection of my own.

This book is amazing, the author brings in personal experiences in her life to help explain scriptures that we can also relate to. This year I’ve been going through tough times and it seems like everytime I open this book, the lord is speaking to me. The authors brings questions at the end which makes me ponder on my past actions or thoughts. This book has helped me a lot. Thank you Joyce Meyer !!

Very inspirational, motivational and on point. I love reading this first thing in the morning. It sets the tone for the day and gives me the reminder that God is with me and words I need to make it through the day.

Joyce Meyer addresses those issues in our lives that everyone can relate to. She is open and honest about the problems and issues she herself has faced and eventually overcome with God’s help.

Joyce always encourages. I read this through every year. Something new jumps out at just the right time. Enjoy and trust God to guide you.

I am so bad about rushing out of the house in the morning. It is so good to have this with me all the time (on my I-pad or kindle) so I can read it at my convience. I know that is not the best way to do a devotional, but it works for me. I usually have time to do it right after I arrive at work before I get in the thick of things. To be honest I am not awake enough before leaving the house to absorb what I would read anyway. I love the way Joyce Meyers puts things in perspective for your practical everyday life.

These books are so helpful with my daily reading and walk in my faith. I will be purchasing more as gifts this year. It's a book that anyone could read daily year after year. Wonderful messages. Scriptures. Uplifting and encouraging daily readings. TWO THUMBS UP!

Every morning before breakfast I could rely on Mrs. Meyer to give me encouragement and sound spiritual guidance for my day and for my life. She is a blessing to me.

I have all of Joyce's devotional sand I know without a doubt I will buy every one she ever writes. God uses her as a messenger in so many areas of my life and for that I am grateful. Her words encourage me, comfort me and as my BFF and I say sometimes she BAMS me. I love this book so much that I have bought it for three of my friends, and I have no doubt that God speaks to them through her words as well. Truly you cannot go wrong with any of her devo's.

I must say that I have always loved Ms. Meyer, not to mention Ms. Moore,but I was just so drawn to the information that is contained in this devotional series. She did not talk about other people and what they are going through but instead relates the scriptures to our lives and how we may understand the what God wants from us. I am happy that I chose this particular book for the new year. :)

Joyce Meyer really helps you understand what the daily verses mean. My grandma recently passed away and this certain day really spoke to me. I mean every devotional day I read speaks to me. This book helps me get through my day. I am new to devotional and happy I started with this one specifically.

I read a lot of devotinals and this by far is the most inspirational day by day teaching of the word, understanding fully that Trusting God is the only way to make it in life and also I'd been taught my whole life that were not to enjoy our life but act like "stiffs"! No matter what is going on in our life, good or bad, the" power of God is like a tower we can run into and be safe"! Thank you Joyce for lyour teachings

I've been a follower of Joyce Meyer for a long time and her teachings has tough me so much about my walk with Jesus. This devotional is a great blessing to start your day with. I would recommend it to anyone who wants more of God in their daily life. Unfortunately, I bought it USED from a third party seller from Amazon. The description were as "mild wear, highlights, underlining" when I got finally got it, it was really "highlighted". Specially the first half of the book. It even included an address and a name of someone on the back of the cover. I decided to return it back to amazon b/c I didn't think it would be that "used". From now on, I buy Brand New stuff, lol...how about that?? By the way, My 5 star rating is not based on the condition of the book but the content and blessing it holds.

I loved this devotional! Many good thoughts on how to trust God through it all. I found myself looking forward to this quick devotional read every day. It's the first time in years I've consistently read through the entire year. I kept notes in a journal and always had something of value to write down and remember. The author is honest and applicable with her real life examples. I'd highly recommend this devotion!

I love this devotional. I have tried several and just couldn't stick with them because I had a hard time relating or applying what was in the devotional. Not this one!!! She writes and tells it like it is. She is down to earth and to the point. So far I have been able to apply each devotional to my life on some level. Unlike others I find myself looking forward to the next days devotional!

I like how relatable Joyce is. I am a big Joyce Meyer fan. A friend of mine has this book and I found it inspiring so I got my own.

Each word seemed to apply to situations we were experiencing. Greatly blessed. God is good. He knows our needs and encourages us into a deeper walk with Him!

I'm only on day 2, but I love this devotional! Just about anything by Joyce Meyer is great. I went with this one over some of her others because it seemed to be more of a "general" devotional, rather than designed for a specific "need." Not that it matters here nor there, but the cover is a slightly different color than pictured. My book had a VERY orange rose and accents. It's still a nice looking devotional and pairs well with the NLT Life Application study bible I bought to go with it.

I'll get so much inspiration from this. I just got it today and it is such a lovely reading book. I'd recommend it highly. My one issue would be that the font in the book is VERY small and my aging eyes cannot read it easily. I have to use a magnifying glass - which is clumsy for me, at best. I just wish the font was bigger. The other thing that I wish is that had I known how small the font is that I'd would have gotten the Kindle version instead. At least I can control the Kindle font size. It's not one of the Amazon hard copy books that a person can buy the Kindle version - for less. I already paid more for the book so I'll have to make do the best I can. Don't get me wrong. This little book is beautiful. I just wish I could read it with ease. Thank you.

I love Joyce Meyer. I have several of her Devotionals and enjoy them all. She applies several of her personal stories to Biblical passages making it easier to understand and utilize the information. Joyce's generous sharing of personal struggles and growth gives readers strength and encouragement to overcome their challenges. 'Trusting God Day by Day' is calming and inspirational.

I'm getting into the bible and I can't sit there and just read a bible.. but daily i read the devotion and it has the bible versus and pages so i will go and read it to understand the passage... it's a great read and sometimes.. certain days relate to you

This is the second daily devotional book that I have purchased authored by Joyce Meyer, both have been great. I love ending the day with scripture, and with the inspirational messages that Joyce Meyer adds. Those messages help encourage me to reflect, then redirect or continue my course based on where I am with regards to the scripture quoted.

As most of her writings,this one to date is full of sound advice,questions to ask yourself,and just all around good inspirational readig to start your day. I bought another Daily Devotional last year,but quickly purchased her new one for this year,as she appeals to everyone with plain faith and commonn sense. A great Devotional for anyone who is looking for one....you will be delighted with it!!

I wish I could give this 10 stars. This is my first devotional. I use to think that books like these were useless and a money ploy, not sure why I thought this. But I was absolutely wrong. This is an amazingly, spiritually uplifting devotional, starting with the first page. I connect so much the devotionals. The devotionals connect to scriptures and what we as people go through in our minds, spirit, etc. If you’re battling constant negative thoughts, guilt about your past, etc., please purchase this. I’ve also purchased another devotional written by several others in one book and nothing compared to the in-depth material of this devotional. It’s helping me to focus on Elohim, force negative thoughts out of mind, stop letting guilt beat me down and focus on the blessing that I’m not the person I once was. The material is so practical and uplifting that I’m highlighting key points, something I don’t do in books like this. So thankful for this! I’m begging sister who just doesn’t seem to read much and has made a lot of bad decisions in her life to read this because I truly believe it can help her. It’s so great that I’m begging her to buy it and if she doesn’t, I may gift her a copy. If I had any friends, I would totally gift it to them as well. If you need motivation, want to forgive yourself, seeking improved spiritual formation, or just need someone to tell you that you can do this, this is the devotional literature for you.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and she loved it. It's a good "meaty" daily devotional. My friend would send me pictures of parts of the devotional and telling me how much she loved it.

This devotional is better than I was hoping for. Was just looking for something simple to aid in getting back into reading my Bible regularly again, and this was it! The devotionals are not too long, straight to the point, and she uses real life experiences which makes you identify more with the points that are trying to be made. My only complaint would be is that she doesn't stick to just one Bible version, and the versions that she uses are not always ones that I typically use. It really isn't too much of an issue, though, I just go ahead and look up the verses used in my Bible.

This book really helped me grow. I was struggling with some tough and confusing circumstances and was searching for meaning when I started reading from it every morning. It really helped me calm down, put all of my trust in God and be at peace no matter what. I find myself so much more grateful and able to see God's plan in everything whether it appears "good" or "bad" on the surface. I gave copies to several friends and relatives and many of them called me with heartfelt thanks. I'd recommend starting a gratitude journal and picking a random passage each day to write down and then write about what it means to you personally. If you really take these lessons to heart they will change your life!

Love this daily devotional. Highly recommend. Daily readings are short enough to get done if you’re in a hurry but substantial enough to make an impression. The entries are dated but I just use a bookmark and read as I go so it doesn’t matter if I skip a day.

I bought this as a gift and was very pleased with it. It is a lovely hard cover book and Meyer's devotions are terrific.

I am a big Joyce fan and own many of her devotionals. Sometimes they all start to sound similar and I get bored with them. I am almost done with this one and am thinking of reading it again next year. I think this is one of her best ones. The whole book is based off of trust. You can't have a relationship with God without trusting Him completely. The basis of the book is great, but not trite. She offers many ways we need to trust God and even gives many anecdotes of her sin. I love when author's show that they are not perfect Christians but instead come down to reality and show us that they are flawed and sinful just like anyone. I would highly recommend this one. It's also a beautiful book in person. I love the layout and design.

Read about Joyce Meyer's latest devotional and it sounded like just what I was looking for and of course, Amazon had it! Her book is well formatted and is a little less spoon-feeding and a little more contemplating. I am very happy with it! As usual, full of her God-inspired wisdom to help you begin your day.

Joyce Myers writes great stuff. Very down to earth and approachable writing. Many a times have the readings been exactly what I needed to hear/read.

Joyce Meyer is one of the best evangelical speakers of our time. She doesn't pretend to be perfect, and lets us see into her private life how to overcome adversity and learn to trust God. I highly recommend this book full of daily readings.
