Insightful. Inspired. Incredible

An interpretation of Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras that is from the perspective of a modern, practicing yoga master who studied within the Himalayan Yoga tradition. Born in Rishikesh, India, the birth place of Yoga, he has been immersed in these teachings. Many interpretations of theses Sutras are from Swamis and Brahmins, which can bring a more dogmatic, religious approach. Anand’s interpretation is comprehensive and accessible— bringing this ancient teaching into our current time—- applicable to daily life. As a yogi and yoga teacher, the study of Patañjali’s Yoga Sutras give us the keys to this life changing spiritual path. They provide depth of knowledge that is essential to progressing and evolving in life. No other interpretation provides the insights that are available like in This is That. Highly recommended!!

The very best rendering of Patanjeli's Yoga Sutras. Anand Mehrotra's words bring this 2,500 year old treasure trove of Yog-Vedantic wisdom to vibrant life, resonating deeply with our times. If you are searching for time tested wisdom to guide your evolution, enlightenment and consciousness, this is the essential book for the Yuga we live in. Anandji is born and raised in Rishikesh, growing up at the feet of his guru, deeply immersed in 1,000's years old Himalayan Yog-Vedantic Tantric wisdom and practices. His gift and passion is his ability to take this knowing and make it deeply absorbable to modern minds and souls. To paraphrase Bob Dylan: "Every one of the words ring true And glow like burnin' coal Pouring off of every page Like it was written in my soul..."

Got it!?

An incredibly candid ‘conversation’ about an ancient text, that has been misinterpreted so often. His clarity is refreshing, as is his straight to the point disposition ...got it or not? You will smile, you will expand, you may be triggered. You will see forever differently. I guarantee it.

This is the best!

Anandji is a master, no doubt. His ability to write as if he's in conversation with you is a gift. There is no comparable work for the non-Sanskrit reader of Patanjali's timeless teachings. Anandji brings vedanta wisdom to contemporary form! Evolove NOW!
