Comfort classics with a lighter spin, from the creator of the healthy-eating blog Well Plated by Erin.

Known for her incredibly approachable, slimmed-down, and outrageously delicious recipes, Erin Clarke is the creator of the smash-hit food blog in the healthy-eating blogosphere, Well Plated by Erin. Clarke's site welcomes millions of readers, and with good reason: Her recipes are fast, budget-friendly, and clever; she never includes an ingredient you can't find in a regular supermarket or that isn't essential to a dish's success, and she hacks her recipes for maximum nutrition by using the "stealthy healthy" ingredient swaps she's mastered so that you don't lose an ounce of flavor.

In this essential cookbook for everyday cooking, Clarke shares more than 130 brand-new rapid-fire recipes, along with secrets to lightening up classic comfort favorites inspired by her midwestern roots, and clever recipe hacks that will enable you to put a healthy meal on the table any night of the week. Many of the recipes feature a single ingredient used in multiple, ingenious ways, such as Sweet Potato Boats 5 Ways. The recipes are affordable and keep practicality top-of-mind. She's eliminated odd leftover "orphan" ingredients and included Market Swaps so you can adjust the ingredients based on the season or what you have on hand. To help you make the most of your cooking, she's even included tips to store and reheat leftovers, as well as clever ideas to turn them into an entirely new dish. From One-Pot Creamy Sundried Tomato Orzo to Sheet Pan Tandoori Chicken, all of the recipes are accessible to cooks of every level, and so indulgent you won't detect the healthy ingredients. As Clarke always hears from her readers, "My family doesn't like healthy food, but they LOVED this!" This is your homey guide to a healthier kitchen.

Best Cookbook I Own

I preordered this cookbook months ago, and nearly forgot about it until it arrived on my door step. I was thrilled when I started reading it! It reads like a friend is talking to you. I can imagine Erin sitting with me in my kitchen, walking me through a recipe, and telling me the story behind each one, which she lovingly does before each recipe. What I appreciate most about this cookbooks is the middle ground it strikes between healthier foods, reasonable fast weeknight meals, and semi-indulgent hearty meals. I've followed her blog for years now, and her approach to health food is extremely approachable: swap a few whole grains in, add lots of savory veggies, and please savor some yummy fruits and chocolate! As a pediatrician who works with families on healthy nutrition, this cook book is perfect, and would be a great first step in a journey towards health! New to cooking? This book is for you. Erin breaks down recipes into their most basic forms. No weird ingredients. I have almost every stock ingredient she'd already mentioned, and she does a great intro of suggesting which staples to invest in! Her recipes are easy to read and instructions are explicit and clear. She never makes you feel like you couldn't accomplish a meal. Expert chef? This book is for you. (also invite me over) Erin has many novel and creative recipes that I'm very excited to try out! (Say beet and sweet potato hash?) She has pro tips as well as ways to "one-up" your recipes for extra flair. Bonus, she gives meal planning suggestions at the end, to tie it all together. Working mom? You should get this. As a fellow working mom, I've been cooking Erin's meals for years. I nearly always have most of her ingredients on hand already. She sorts meals out at the end if they're 30 min or less, instant pot, or slow cooker, so you can come home and have it ready! Definitely, this book will be my counter top cookbook for years to come!

Not for gluten free

To be fair I have not actually tried any of these recipes so they might be absolutely delicious but so many of these have gluten or some kind (over 35) I can’t make them. I wanted to write a review so gluten intolerant people would be warned. I only tabbed a handful of the recipes to try so I will update the review after I try them. Over 20 recipes had the pictures on the page after the recipes which threw me off sincE usually it’s next to recipe. Some of the ideas look really creative, others are repetitive - smoothies and salads, overnight oats, etc. but may be a different take on them than you’ve seen!

Quality recipes from a blogger I already trust!

I've been following Erin's blog for several years now and she has yet to let me down. Many of her recipes are on constant rotation in our little household (in fact, our all-time favorite blog recipe was one of the very few to make it to the cookbook! Such a pleasant surprise; now I can throw away my stained printed copy!) So the first day I could preorder her first cookbook, I did. Everything about this book is a delight. The pictures are stunning and really drive that "I HAVE to make this!" instinct. Many recipes include a "Market Swaps" text box giving tips on what ingredients can be swapped out for others (i.e. tofu for chicken, seasonal veggies for ones that may be out of season). She even offers suggestions for how leftovers can be used. Plus there's so much versatility offered for things like simple shredded chicken and a bolognese sauce. Erin clearly cares about making your family meals delicious, healthy, and easy. I was reading through this book last night and realized this may be the first of my MANY cookbooks where I end up trying everything at least once. Truly, if you're only going to buy one cookbook (I don't know how anyone does that but hey, you do you!), "The Well Plated Cookbook" should be that one. I can't imagine being disappointed.

First recipe was amazing!

I pre-ordered The Well-plated Cookbook as I have been following the authors blog for quite awhile. The first recipe I made was a slow cooker pork carnitas with pineapple. Oh boy, was that delicious. My husband took one bite and said “that is full of flavor”. There are so many great recipes and ways to vary them, freeze them, make them ahead, etc, and all great tasting healthy food. I am so excited to try more. This will be a great addition to my collection of cookbooks, but will probably be used more than others. The photos are amazing, and I am very fussy about lots of photos in my cookbooks. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for new ideas for healthy cooking.

If you like to spend more time than your effort is worth, then this book is definitely for you!

I was so excited to receive this book based on the rave reviews. The recipes looked delicious as I paged through the book. I purchased many ingredients with a plan to make recipes throughout the week. The first recipe “the Santa Fe salad” was pretty darn good. Lots of ingredients for a salad IMO, as well as needing to marinate the chicken which I found annoying, but also normal enough. So I was happy with that recipe. The chocolate mouse... tons of work and tasted decent, for a healthier dessert I was still ok with this. The oatmeal cookies. I only had old fashioned rolled oats so I used those instead of the quick oats she recommends. They were pretty delicious, I made them again with the quick oats and I did not like the texture at all. Also, toasting the walnuts seemed like a pointless extra step to me Here it gets not so good. The Asian chicken salad. Tons of work and ingredients. Its GROSS and not satisfying in the least. I had to eat more after that lunch to even feel full The caprese chicken skillet... nope. Again, lots of ingredients for such a mediocre meal. The thyme she has you add, yuck! The whole thing took forever to make and just didn’t taste good Lemon chia seed muffins are a NOPPPPEEE. Disgusting dense chewy yuck consistency with a less than decent flavor. And again, more time consuming to make than a freaking muffin needs to be! Tonight I made the chicken pot pie soup. That was the final straw to my lack of enjoyment from making recipes from this book. It doesn’t taste good, I don’t know what else to say about it. I followed the recipe exactly and it just doesn’t taste good I wanted to love this book. I’m a mom of 2 trying to get a healthy meal on the table, but ain’t nobody got time for this.

Essential and Must-Have Cookbook

I was so excited to receive my copy of Erin’s cookbook last night. I’ve been anxiously awaiting it for months and it definitely did not disappoint! The book is beautifully made, very sturdy and most of all exceptionally written and illustrated. I have been making many of Erin’s recipes and they are always easy to make with ingredients that I most often have on hand. I also appreciate the fact that her recipes, whether they are main dishes, breakfast foods or desserts, are not only delicious, but they are made with wholesome, budget-friendly, and easily accessible ingredients that are healthy for my family. Erin has a special talent for swapping out higher-fat, higher-sugar and higher-carb ingredients for more natural and minimally processed alternatives. Every recipe I’ve made has been delicious and nutritious. I also have several food restrictions due to a gastrointestinal disease, but am able to improvise when needed with Erin’s recipes. I am looking forward to making the Apple-Cinnamon Pancakes (her vegan ones are amazing) as well as the Whole Wheat Blueberry Banana Bread, the Almond Crusted Trout, the Maple Dijon Salmon and the decadent Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Brownies. The photos and storage tips she includes are very helpful and appreciated as well. I’ve been following Erin on her Instagram page and blog for several years now and she is a sweetheart. She is very friendly, down to earth and approachable. She interacts with us and answers any questions you may have. I would highly recommend the Well Plated Cookbook... you will be very happy and 100% satisfied!

Destined to be a regular family favorite

(Note- my reviewer name belies my trim frame). I’ve followed the Well Plated blog for a few years, and I’ve cooked at least several dozen of the recipes. It’s one of the few food blogs that’s actually accessible to cook, beautiful, well-written, and DELICIOUS. Seriously, whenever I’m hosting or need to bring an item to a party, Well Plated is the first place I go for a good recipe because they are crowd favorites and simple to prepare. In the 5 days since the cookbook’s release, I’ve tried 6 recipes, and they’re great. No surprises there. And they’re all NEW recipes, I should add. The biggest delight has been the photographs—another consistent carryover from the blog. They’re vibrant, exciting, and appealing. Think Ottolenghi-level photography with more familiar food for most Americans (no disrespect to Ottolenghi—one of my favs!). The writing is conversational like a blog. I somewhat prefer more efficient prose during the actual recipe, but the author has tons of tips and tricks in the steps so I actually have been reading the recipes in whole. Overall this cookbook is home run. I honestly think is will become as well-worn (or more!) as my Moosewoods (Mollie Katzen) and How to Cook Everything (Mark Bittman). Lastly, the Well Plated blog recipes have managed to grow with me even as my skills have increased substantially. I do tweak things here and there (as cooks do) but I have grown to trust the author’s base suggestions for what to use and how to prepare. So far, this cookbook has only been an extension of that. I highly highly highly recommend this cookbook. Thank you to the author, Erin Clarke, for your tremendous effort and CONTRIBUTION to home cooks everywhere. In the words of Jacque Pepin, Happy cooking!

EVERY RECIPE WORKS!!!

I love this cookbook! I love the recipes and have been able to get a handle on "clean" eating finally. I am excited to have a cookbook that encourages positive eating. I have always hated trying recipes that did NOT turn out and regretting the time and ingredients wasted. I have not had that experience yet with this cookbook, and I have tried several items from pancakes to smoothies to main dishes. I even tried Brussel Sprouts, which I was SURE I would not like, but they were yummy too. THANK YOU, Erin. The only disappointment for me is that I am still watching my calories and nutrition input and would have dearly loved the nutritional facts at the end of each recipe like they are on the blog. But it does not deter me from using these recipes. 5 Stars, for sure!!!

A Delightful Book!

I have been following Erin's blog for about 6 years now and I love the way she creates recipes and talks to and with her blog followers. She is a master in the kitchen and I have loved every single thing I've ever made from her blog! And, her cookbook is AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL! (I really hope I don't get stuff on it!) Delicious recipes page after page after page and everything looks so delicious I just want to make everything! Erin - This book ROCKS!!!

Fast & Healthy Recipes You'll Want To Eat!

I absolutely LOVE this cookbook, and I'm not easy to impress. Erin Clarke's recipes are healthy but they're not so strict-healthy that your finicky kids or your I-must-have-meat-and-potatoes husband won't eat them! You know what I mean... let's talk kale for example. If your kids normally say no to it, I challenge you to make her "Garlicky Sauteed Kale with Almonds", I'm tellin' ya, your kiddos will gobble it UP! This cookbook is organized, Erin's style is fun and interesting (I love all her stories about each recipe!), plus there are many colorful pictures throughout the book. In addition, she added "Pro Tips", "Storage Tips", "Leftover Love", "Market Swaps" and "Next Level" . . . tons and tons of add-ons that you don't normally find in cookbooks. You won't be disappointed in this cookbook!! P.S. This picture is of her Blue Ribbon Chili .....it's DAH BOMB!!

Great veggie recipes for even non-vegetarians!

Picked this up last week by recommendation of a family member and I'm impressed by the wide variety of flavors and ingredients. Lots of vegetarian recipes that will actually be a substantial main course and are approachable even for non-vegetarians. Great ideas for dishes with meat in them, too. Some of the ingredients are pairings I never would have thought of, but they still feel approachable and not fussy. Lots of great quick meal ideas, too. The book is full of gorgeous photos (what you really want in a cookbook, aside from the recipes, right??) and all of them look delicious. I've already made one of the salads and it was a hit for me and a couple of friends.

This is my new "every day" cookbook!

I stumbled upon Erin's Instagram page a couple of months ago, so I am a new fan! I love cooking and trying new recipes. I’ve been subscribed to cooking magazines for decades and have a collection of cookbooks. Let’s be honest, though: how many times have you bought a cookbook and discovered that you might only cook about 25% - if that much – of the recipes? Sometimes they are too complex, take too much time or the main ingredient is a rare spice grown on a mountain in the Himalayas! Or, the recipes include ingredients that you buy and use only once. Those recipes are NOT in this cookbook. What you will find here are healthier and delicious recipes made with easily accessible ingredients. They are not complex, and some steps can be prepped in advance. Erin Clarke also includes some “Pro Tips” and other ingredient swaps which add another spin on the recipe. Do not skip reading the Introduction and subsequent pages! These contain pearls of wisdom that you need to know for yourself and for the recipes in the cookbook (#IYDKNYK: always read a recipe all the way through before tackling and NEVER choose imitation vanilla extract over pure (my advice to everyone I know!). In a week’s time I read through the whole cookbook (yes, all the recipes) and already made the Sheet Pan Tandoori Chicken, Shaved Brussel Sprouts Salad, Zippy Lemon Yogurt Dressing and Freezer Breakfast Sandwiches. All great! I don't think this is marketed as a diet or low fat cookbook, so it doesn’t matter to me that the calorie count is not included. Besides, you won’t find many high fat ingredients in her recipes. The pictures and stories included with the recipes add even more “flavor”!

No nutritional information

I have followed Erin’s blog for years and use many of her recipes. I am very disappointed that her book does not include nutritional information- specifically estimated calories. If I had known this in advance, I wouldn’t have purchased the book.

This is a cookbook worth buying!

I know most people get their recipes off the internet, but this is a cookbook worth buying! Erin is the only food blogger I follow and I've been following her for quite awhile. I've never made a recipe of hers that wasn't fairly easy and delicious! My favorite thing about her recipes is that they are normal, classic recipes that she has made healthier without using strange ingredients. And her blog is fun to read and full of pictures and very clear directions. I've been waiting for months for the cookbook to come out - I don't buy cookbooks anymore, but thought I would try hers since I love her blog. The cookbook was more delightful than I imagined!!! Its fun to just sit and read through it and the layout is so beautiful! Her cookbook reads just like her blog - I feel like Erin is a friend of mine because she is so natural and personal. I definitely have never met her and I was not asked to write this review. I bought 2 of her cookbooks because I knew I would want to give one as a gift. If you don't use cookbooks yourself - this would make a beautiful gift for someone else!

Most delicious recipes I've made

This cookbook is a must-have! I am in my 80's and thought I could cook but I learned so much from Erin. All my beloved old recipes can now be made more healthy and better taken. Her recipes are easy to follow using ingredients one has or if not, she suggests a substitute. If you want it vegan, she makes suggestions. I am now using my crock pot again with her easy, delicious recipes. And, she makes suggestions for kitchen tools and recipes for easy clean up. I have bought new pans and tools she has suggested from Amazon and all these make cooking easier. At my stage of life, I don't need difficult cooking - I need easy, delicious meals using my pantry ingredients, not a French chef with hours of cooking. See Eric's blog also- I use it and also save recipes- print them and use the paper to keep my cookbook clean while I am cooking. Absolutely love this book! Makes a great gift also!!

Love the Beautiful Photos and Delicious Healthy Recipes

I discovered Erin’s website several years ago. I really like the healthy recipes with lots of veggies. She also described what to do with leftovers and how to make recipes gluten free or other dietary modifications. She even make me like tofu again with her crispy oven baked tofu. My mahjong friends couldn’t believe it was tofu! I live in Mexico so I purchased the Kindle version but this is a good book to hold in your hands with lots of lovely photos. I sent the real book to my sister in Canada and she really loves it. The book is a really good purchase or gift. I highly recommend it.

Well Plated recipes always deliver!

We've been following Erin for years and quite frankly I don't know what we would have done without her blog. Having a physical book to browse through when deciding what to have for dinner is invaluable. If you're like us, cooking the same things over and over again gets old. My father used to say it wasn't the cooking that he minded it was the trying to decide what to have for dinner that was a pain. This cookbook is bursting with delicious recipes and absolutely gorgeous photographs. Nothing worse than finding a great recipe and not knowing what it's supposed to look like. I've been cooking for 50 years and I still like to see the visual aspect of a recipe. I've also enjoyed the personal photographs. We've learned so much about Ben that it was nice to see him included in the book! Although, and kudos to you Erin, how you got anything done with a handsome guy like that around is beyond me..lol. This was well worth the wait of 6 months for pre-ordering, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants foolproof delicious recipes.

First Time Author Delivers Amazing Cookbook

It is hard to fathom that Erin hasn't written 5 or 10 previous cookbooks! This is her first, but I'm sure not her last. The recipes are thoughtfully developed with options given as ways to serve. I'll mention two. The slow cooker turkey bolognese is delicious (I used ground chicken) and I love the concept of it cooking all day without having to stand over the stove. The flavor profile is so good. The cheddar cornbread is another favorite with interesting ingredients such as white-whole wheat flour instead of AP. Let me also add that the photos are simply beautiful. Erin has hit this out of the park, speaking in baseball parlance!

Most useful Cookbook...has it all!

I've never been much of a cook. I just seemed to lack the knack. Then I discovered Erin Clark and her Well Plated recipes and I started getting compliments on my meals. "The Well Plated Cookbook" has it all. The tips for make-ahead and storage are so useful. I especially appreciate the suggestions for side dishes so you're able to serve a beautiful meal and not just one course. My family also appreciates that Erin Clark Well Plated has brought us so many delicious and nutritious meals.

Useful, easy and truly everyday recipes

I originally found Erin's food blog after googling how to make a few things in the Instant Pot, and I always ended up going for her recipes as opposed to others' because I could tell she had thoroughly tested everything. I am so excited about this cookbook! To give you a sense of my cooking style, my other favorite cookbooks are from Ina Garten, Smitten Kitchen, ATK, and Mark Bittman. I share that because why I love Well Plated is a result of what I'm not getting enough of from those old favorites of mine. There are a few easier and healthier recipes in all of those cookbooks, but Erin's Well Plated Cookbook is entirely focused on more accessible and (at least somewhat!) nutritious recipes. For the record, I can tell Erin is influenced by those greats! This book is filled with satisfying and straightforward dishes that my meat-and-potatoes-preferring husband will love. On a Sunday night, I live for diving into an multi-step Smitten Kitchen recipe with special ingredients and many steps. I love treating us to an indulgent or involved Ina Garten or America's Test Kitchen meal. I'm a confident cook who eats all foods and flavors and doesn't mind sometimes buying a unique or exotic ingredient that might not ever get used again. But over the years, I'm realizing that I need more everyday and easy recipe inspiration at my disposal. Front to back, that's what Erin Clarke has achieved. "No orphan ingredients", as she says. The book's description is very accurate. Most of the ingredients are things I buy regularly, and Erin helps inspire me with how to use them. As much as these recipes are crowd-pleasers, you can definitely tell they've been written by a thoughtful, health-conscious, modern young woman with contemporary tastes. Like me, I daresay! So far from her book, I've made the buffalo chicken burgers and the macaroni salad. SO GOOD and instantly going to be regulars in the rotation. Next up is the Book Club salad. I'm a cookbook snob, and I highly recommend Well Plated. Keep em coming, Erin!

Absolutely wonderful cookbook! Highly recommended!

Bought the kindle edition of this cookbook as a gift for my wife and we are absolutely loving it! We've had the book less than a month and have already tried over a dozen recipes, including breakfasts, salads, sides, main dishes, and one dessert recipe, and we can't wait to continue cooking our way through this book! There are many recipes with an abundance of variety, so each recipe feels fresh and exciting. The photos are gorgeous, and my wife is very much a stickler about photos for every recipe in any good cookbook, and this book passes the test! It doesn't take long to see how much thought and time Erin put into this book! Some of our favorite features include: 1) The market swaps, which are ingredient swap options to accommodate what readers have on hand or variations for trying the same recipe in different ways; 2) the make-ahead and storage tips, because it is always valuable to know how long a recipe will stay fresh or if it freezes well; 3) the leftover love for alternatives on serving the leftovers; and 4) the way that Erin incorporates both simple recipes that will definitely become every-day staples in our kitchen as well as fancier, more unique recipes that are fit for guests but still extremely approachable. Perhaps the best feature of this cookbook, which is also the foundation of Erin's Well Plated blog, is providing healthy recipes that taste delicious. This philosophy will keep us coming back to the recipes in this book again and again. Erin, thank you for this wonderful resource!

Every recipe a winner!

Erin Clarke's The Well-Plated Cookbook features a range of classic recipes with a healthier approach. I bought this cookbook after noticing many other Instagram accounts of the success of her dishes. I was not disappointed! From chapters on breakfast and party food, to soups, sandwiches, salads, and desserts, Clarke offers lessons on how to become a better cooks while also making healthy choices like using more fruits and vegetables and swapping in more nutritious ingredients. Along with recipes, there are sections on helpful topics like ideas for use of a can of chickpeas; ways to use Bolognese sauce; and many ways to make stuffed sweet potatoes. So many creative and healthful ideas! The photographs by Becky Hardin enhance the attractiveness of the dishes and present a goal for your own food photos. Recipes I have made to the acclaim of my family include: --Caprese Chicken Skillet: Sauteed chicken breasts are finished with balsamic vinegar, red onions and cherry tomatoes before being topped with fresh basil and mozzarella balls and additional drizzles of balsamic. --Italian Turkey Sausage Skillet with Farro, Greens, and Bean: Crumbled turkey sausage is sauteed with red onion, garlic before chopped kale, white beans, tomatoes, and farro are added to the skillet. The finished dish is a flavorful, one-dish meal perfect for an easy and healthy dinner. --5-Ingredient Maple Dijon Salmon: The easiest approach to cooking salmon perfectly with a coating of maple syrup, Dijon mustard and olive oil. A quick oven roasting yields a delicious entree. --Chicken Shawarma Wraps: An ideal way to make the most of leftover chicken. Shredded chicken is sauced with yogurt, a spice blend, and lemon juice before filling pita with hummus, sliced cucumbers, and feta. --Grammy's Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas: Another way to employ cooked chicken. Sliced peppers and onion and Mexican spices are mixed with shredded chicken to fill tortillas. The tortillas are topped with a cheese-yogurt sauce and homemade green enchilada sauce before being baked until bubbling. Garnishes include avocadoes and cilantro. --Autumn Sheet Pan Sausages with Apples and Harvest Vegetables: A combination of Brussels sprouts, red onion, garlic, sliced turkey sausage, sliced apples, and herbs are oven-roasted. Another easy and flavorful one-dish meal. There are many other recipes on my To Try list from The Well-Plated Cookbook. It is full of many promising approaches to familiar dishes. I recommend it to any level of cook, and it would be a great gift. A new favorite cookbook!

The best of Wellplated (and easy/healthy options for moms and their whole families!)

I have been following Erin’s recipes from her blog for years and have SO many that I share with my mama friends because they are fast, easy, healthy, and the whole family loves them! The cookbook is like the best of the best all tied together in a perfect bow. Erin has an authentic, warm, and welcoming voice that shines throughout. I have recently uncovered a gluten sensitivity but have been able to make easy substitutions for the recipes. Using a rice/quinoa pasta or tortilla, using arrowroot or GF flour instead of regular flour, or omitting the bun and doing a lettuce wrap, etc. all works great. I saw another review saying this was not for GF people but I don’t agree. If you have any knowledge about how to make GF swaps you’ll be fine with this. Finally, I love that she takes care to not be wasteful about ingredients. No half a can of this or that! Food insecurity is so very real right now and I never want to waste any of it. Cheers to an amazing cookbook that you’ll keep out in the kitchen at all times, not on the shelf!

Best Cookbook in my Collection... by far....

This cookbook is amazing! Everything in it looks delicious and healthy. I’ve had it for a week and have made three recipes and they have all been great. The Slow Cooker Apricot-Glazed Pork and Vegetables is one of the best meals I’ve ever made, and the Chicken Shawarma wraps are so simple (perfect for lunch) and so flavorful. I’m excited to try more recipes!

This Cookbook Reaches Every Palate!

My family LOVES Erin’s recipes! I started following Erin Clarke, the author of "Well-Plated", a few years ago on Instagram and was pleasantly surprised that she was a local Milwaukee blogger. I printed off quite a few of her online recipes and they were all fantastic! When I found out she was releasing a cookbook, I immediately pre-ordered back in February. That being said, I had done away with most of my cookbooks as I solely relied on Internet recipes. However, I knew that having the Well-Plated cookbook on-hand would be useful. So far, I have made about 10 recipes from the cookbook in the two weeks that I have had it and none have disappointed. Upon receiving the Well-Plated cookbook, my 11-year-old went through it and immediately put Post-it notes on almost every single page because she wanted to help me in the kitchen to make Erin’s recipes. My daughter made the Every Day Apple Cinnamon Pancakes, and they were phenomenal! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Erin’s countless hours agonizing over every little detail do not go unnoticed in this book. It’s beautiful to look at AND the recipes reach every palate. This cookbook has greatly helped with meal planning and I love that her recipes aren’t grossly covered in cheese…even though she (we) are from Wisconsin! The recipes are family friendly, and healthy, but not so healthy that kids turn their noses up to the food (believe me - I have three kiddos with all different palates). I already purchased an addition copy of the “Well-Plated” cookbook as a gift. I see myself giving this to quite a few people for Christmas, too! Buy this...you will not be disappointed! I absolutely love how the cookbook is laid out. The food photos are stunning and my daughter pays great attention to how things are plated, and Erin’s cookbook definitely lives up to its name “Well-Plated”!

My meat and potato husband cleans his healthy plate thanks to Erin!

I do not know where to start. I stumbled upon Erin's web site searching for a recipe. Again, where do I start? I could not stop printing off recipes as I was reading them. I had to stop, my family doesn't eat like this. I am one of those ridiculous people who make 2 meals a night. One for me, one for everyone else. I loved these recipes so much that in January I announced that the 2 meals were not happening anymore and we were ALL eating healthy. My husband said he would try. The first week, everything came from Erin. From the sweet potato frittata for breakfast to stuffed pepper casserole for dinner. Long story short, I got all compliments and no complaints! They didn't even know they were eating brown rice except one night my husband said the rice wasn't cooked enough, hee hee. They even ate quinoa! After the first week of family approvals I purchased this cook book. It is a lovely book! The quality isn't great but who cares the recipes are amazing. Erin, get a better publisher and charge more for a higher quality book! I love her tips, I now make my brown rice in larger batches and keep it in the fridge for another night. I also cook the quinoa and freeze it. Bye Bye Lipton noodle packets. My fridge is currently LOADED with vegetables and I saved so much money at the grocery store. I just got my daughter started with “Erin cooking” and I am curious to see how she does. I know that I am learning a lot, like dicing sweet potato and cooking them in a bowl of water in the microwave, for example. That is one of those things that is a duh, but I had never thought of it. I will let you know if she finds this too complicated, or if she, like me, is learning from Erin. I also want to point out that my healthy eating journey started with many visits to a nutritionist. Everything that my nutritionist had me eating is in this book. It is spot on healthy, besides the cheese. My family appreciates the cheese! So I leave it in and eat around it. I try to use Cabot cheese and grate it myself. I tell myself that this is better……. I have been searching for a way to work some salmon into my diet. I am not a huge salmon person, actually I don’t like it at all. HOWEVER, Erin has a recipe for a salmon cake in her book that is sitting in my recipe book cradle, opened to the page, as a reminder to me that I need to try it. It looks delicious, sigh, we’ll see, its salmon……. Long story short, Erin is a treasure that you have just found if you are reading this review. Buy the book and enjoy her spin on healthy eating! I look forward to many more books Erin!

Love it!

I've really enjoyed Erin Clarke's smoothie recipes online, and this cookbook takes it further for me with loads of recipes with healthier ingredients than what I'm accustomed to using. Every recipe I've made has been a winner so far, and I bought a second book for my friend because I like it so much. One thing - they do not include nutritional information at the bottom of each recipe like most. You can find the information online. I've written to the author to ask about his and she immediately responded that it was a choice they had to make for space. I like her writing, style and photos throughout, and the recipes are great, so it's worth it to me.

Answers the hardest question of the day - what should we make for dinner?

I absolutely love this cookbook! Every recipe I’ve tried so far has been delicious and healthier than other alternatives you would find on the web. A few family/friend favorites have been green chile enchiladas (SO GOOD! Everyone asks for the recipe!), killer kale salad, mac & cheese, etc., etc. Erin Clarke does a phenomenal job at lightening up beloved mealtime classics. The photos in the book are stunning and I’ve genuinely enjoyed flipping through when we need to decide what to make for dinner - you’ll find lots of inspiration in these pages! And, there’s just something special about having the hard cover book open on the kitchen counter. Definitely nicer than scrolling on a phone. It is a wordier cookbook, which I think is great for newer chefs who are still expanding their cooking horizons (c’est moi). Although the recipe descriptions can run a bit long sometimes, the personal notes are endearing. And what do you expect from someone who started off with an amazing food blog?! Seriously, go check out wellplated.com and order your own book now.

Must-have COOKBOOK

When I found out Erin made a COOKBOOK I was STOKED! I have been using her recipes and tagging her for quite some time cause they are all ON POINT! Made my first meal from her cookbook yesterday and it was DELISH! I added a pic...my elementary school girls LOVED it and I felt so good serving them up a bowl of wholesome healthy goodness! The pics, recipes, advice, and heft of this book make it a total steal! Great gift idea that your friends and family will thank you for!

Erin is THE BEST

Erin, you are the best! This book was the only thing on my Christmas list this year 😋 I’ve been following Erin’s blog for several years and she is absolutely my favorite food blogger; she is just so cute and makes everything fun and easy. Her meals and desserts are always a knockout and some of my favorite things I make. You can totally tell how much love and hard work she puts into each recipe from the amount of details and instructions she shares in her posts (I love reading through her recipe posts to read the stories and significance behind each recipe she creates. She’s a great writer too!) The cookbook has her best recipes in one beautiful, organized book. She included recipes for every season, ingredient, diet, occasion, and meal— and the pictures are so pretty. I love that she includes a short description of each recipe with the instructions so you get to learn about what inspired her to create the recipe or what kind of significance it has in her life— you feel the love in each recipe! So excited to start cooking from this lovely book. Thank you Erin! So excited to keep following along with you and make your incredible recipes!

Great cookbook!

This is a great cookbook full of ideas and good cooking. I had it a week and made two entrees, both of which were big hits. Both meals were easy to prepare, had ingredients I had in my cupboard, were healthy, and were really yummy. Since then, I’ve tried several more recipes including a couple desserts. All yummy, easy, and family friendly. I’d recommend it to anyone interested in cooking healthy foods. Have already bought two copies for Christmas gifts, including one for my gym trainer. Excellent cookbook.

Absolutely the BEST cookbook I've ever owned!

I am DELIGHTED by this cookbook!! Easy-to-follow recipes that are both healthy and delicious--not just sorta, but REALLY, REALLY yummy!!! When looking for good "go-to" recipes, I have the following criteria: 1) easy to prepare even without extensive experience, 2) easily obtainable ingredients, 3) efficient in terms of clean-up (i.e., am I going to have to use every cooking utensil I own, or just a few?), 4) healthy with an emphasis on good proteins and lots of veggies, and 5) tastes good. The recipes in this book consistently meet and exceed these criteria. The layout of the book itself is clean and very attractive. I love the color photos provided of EVERY SINGLE recipe. It is beautiful, informative, easy-to-follow, and fun to cook from. I truly LOVE this book; wish I'd had it 25 years ago!

Best and easy and delicious and healthy cookbook!

I have been following Erin of @wellplated for over 3 years now. 75% of my recurring recipes that I use have been from her recipe blog! I could not wait for this cookbook , and am not disappointed. Every recipe is beautifully laid out, has swaps or cooking hints, they use easily bought or on hand ingredients, and look absolutely delicious! The photos alone will make you drool! I am a wife and mom of 4 grown kiddos, and when they come for dinner, they ALL love when I make a WellPlated recipe. Deciding on what recipe to try first will be a yummy job! *********

Sets the Bar High For Other Cookbook Authors

This cookbook is one of the nicest ones I own -- and I do have a lot. It has beautiful photos of every recipe, fun intros to each that sounds like a friend talking to you, ingredients measured in weights too, so you can be more accurate. It seems like the author really took a lot of time to put effort into each recipe. Some cookbooks seem like there are just extra boring recipes added for length or something, but not this one. It's got 130 recipes and each one seems purposeful like her heart is in each one. This is what I want my cookbooks to be like: beautiful, practical, healthy enough, and detailed recipes so they turn out amazing. I already made two things from it and they turned out great. I just hope some day Erin will write another one!

I'm excited about this cookbook

So many times I get a new cookbook, look through it and pick out a couple of recipes that look good and that I'll make. With this cookbook, I want to make everything! So far I have made 5 recipes and they have been delicious and they look beautiful. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. And the ingredients are mostly in my pantry or refrigerator. (I hate it when some cookbooks have an ingredient in almost every recipe that I have never used before and sometimes don't even know what it is or where to get it!) We have gotten away from eating much meat and are trying to eat more vegetables and those are the kind of recipes in this book.

So many amazing recipes!

A wonderful variety of recipes! This cookbook has made meal planning very easy as every recipe tastes delicious, yet they are all different enough to make in the same week. It’s very well written and easy to follow. I have already made over 10 recipes from it in just the first few weeks...and looking forward to trying all of them. But I am pretty sure I will be repeating some I have already tried before getting through the entire book because I am already craving them again!

Recipes that you can actually make that taste as good as the photo make them to look!

I’ve been following Erin’s cooking blog for a long time now, so I was very excited to receive my copy of her cookbook. Erin combines creativity of flavors with a Midwest sensibility that means the recipes are something that you can actually make. Made the recipe for the cover photo of her book and it literally turned out like her picture! It was also easy but incredibly flavorful. I would go to a restaurant to buy this meal, but I don’t have to because of this book! Looking forward to trying more.

Go buy this cookbook now!

I pre-ordered this cookbook the day Erin of Well Plated announced it. I have followed Erin’s blog for years and use her recipes several times a week. Now I have a beautiful hardcover cookbook filled with all NEW recipes! The descriptions and photographs in the cookbook are wonderful. I have owned the cookbook for less than a week and have already tried the Caprese Chicken Skillet recipe (featured on the cover), delicious strawberry scones, healthy granola, and have learned how to use the baked chicken I bought at the store in taquitos and a yummy Asian noodle salad (2 of the 4 UNBORING ways to use shredded chicken!). Erin has the gift of developing healthy, easy to make recipes that are full of flavor. I have been using her recipes to teach my two teenagers how to cook and her writing style makes it so clear. Plus I love that she gives storage tips, market swaps, Pro tips and leftover ideas with her recipes. Even better are the list of suggested menus at the end. Can’t wait to dive into the dessert section next. This cookbook is a homerun and you will want to keep it within hands reach! After following Erin’s food blog for years I feel as though I am complimenting a friend on an outstanding accomplishment. Well done Erin!! And thank you.

Disappointing balance of flavors

I thought the recipes in this cookbook sounded good and healthy. And the cookbook has nice photography and clear instructions. The recipes are not complicated and use common ingredients. Unfortunately, the balance of flavors in each of the 4 recipes I have tried thus far are off. One was not salty enough, two were too sweet, and the other had a peculiar texture and not enough acid. I made these exactly as written and I'm a good cook, so after 4 duds, I'm donating this. I've never cooked anything from her blog before, so perhaps that's where I went wrong. If you're looking for a healthy cookbook for weeknight meals, I highly recommend the Very Best of Recipes for Health by Martha Rose Shulman. I return to those recipes time and time again.

Covers all the bases with delicious results!

I’ve had this cookbook for about three weeks now and already made multiple recipes! I have always enjoyed WellPlated recipes and my husband always goes back for seconds. I love that these recipes are not available online, so you really are getting a value add with purchasing the book! *note that I would still recommend checking out her online site also, the slow cooker recipes in particular are excellent!!

Love Well Plated recipes

I never buy cookbooks, but I purchased this book because Erin/Well Plated recipes are so reliable. I appreciate that she always uses ingredients that are easy to obtain, relatively healthy, and she provides clear, easy to follow instructions. This book contains some unique recipes that I am excited to try out! I would recommend this book to anyone looking for some new and healthy recipes.

Love the Well Plated cookbook!!

I have not bought a new cookbook in a long time. It is so easy to find any recipe online, using Google. But I saw a couple of Erin Clark’s recipes - on Facebook I think - and liked them, so I subscribed to their blog. Gave them my email address, and really enjoy, not only the recipes I received, but also the suggestions to cook healthier, use alternative ingredients, and have fun with it. So I broke down and bought the book, and I love it. Love Erin’s attitude, her no nonsense approach to creating delicious, healthy meals, with ingredients most of which I have already in the pantry. And I love the pictures! Food that not only tastes good, but also is a delight to your eyes. Love it, love it. Thank you, Erin Clarke.

Healthy, delicious recipes for family meals or dinner parties with friends!

Naturally, you buy a cookbook for it's recipes, which in this case, are good, healthy dishes that are not only family friendly but perfect for dinner parties. But when the recipes are paired with amazing photography, it gets top billing in my book! Erin's writing style makes you just want to curl up with a glass of wine and read the whole book, cover to cover! Her pro-tips and market swaps for ingredients you may not have available put this book over the top! I can't wait to try all the recipes! This one's a must have!!!

Favorite cookbook of the year

I was not familiar with the blog but bought on a whim during a book promotion. I have made five recipes the past two weeks and they are all huge winners. The book is filled with beautiful photos of the food, the recipes are not intimidating to make, the flavors are great, the meals incorporate vegetables in a non intimidating way, and I am just so pleased I found this book! I have recommended it to others. I hope she makes another cookbook just as good down the road but until then, I'm going to keep cooking through it!

Must have cookbook

I have been cooking and baking from this book nonstop since I got it. Every single recipe has been amazing! I love the photography in the book, simplicity of ingredients, and that Erin has discovered a way to make healthy food taste absolutely delicious. I plan on buying more books for holiday gifts.

Don’t Buy Just One!

Don’t just buy one, because this cookbook is so great that you are going to want to share it with the people you love! I have bought four so far! I am a fairly new follower of Erin and I just happened on to her recipes on the internet. Every single dish I have made has my family cheering in the background! The recipes are delicious and she has made it so easy to follow that anyone can be successful! I especially love her slow cooker recipes! I am on her email list and have enjoyed so many of the recipes that I get every week, that I didn’t hesitate when I learned that she had a cookbook coming out! When I received it and it was so awesome, that I had to buy more for my friends! Everyone should be able to enjoy what Erin has created!

One of the Best!

I have been getting the Well-Plated emails in my inbox for years and was very excited for her cookbook. It did not let me down. As with her blog it has everything I like, a picture of what it should look like, all the details you want in a recipe and they are easy and healthy. She always goes above and beyond to give you extra info on how to store it and other little tips and tricks. I would buy this cookbook for a new cook or an experienced cook. Great book!

Yummy, easy recipes (that can be easily adapted to be gluten-free)!

I was very excited to get this cookbook as I have made some of Erin's recipes shared on the Skinnytaste website. For example, I made the Caprese Chicken Skillet and it was divine. I was initially concerned based on some of the reviews that discussed the lack of gluten-free recipes. However, after being gluten-free for ten years, I've learned how to adapt most recipes to be gluten-free so I went ahead and chanced it. Glad I did! Most of the recipes containing wheat can be easily made gluten-free by swapping out the wheat pasta with gluten-free pasta as well as those recipes calling for bread, wraps, tortillas, etc. with their gluten-free alternatives (for the wraps could go extra healthy and use lettuce in place of a flour-based wrap). She has a several recipes that call for farro - for those you can use pearl rice or quinoa and, obviously, you can swap out wheat flour with gluten-free flour like Cup4Cup gluten-free flour or cornstarch, depending on the recipe. I do get that not everyone who is gluten-free necessarily has access to good quality gluten-free products, but if you do, you will be fine, so don't let some of the other reviews lamenting the lack of gluten-free recipes deter you!

You won't regret this purchase!

I will be the first to admit that my cookbook collection consists solely of Southern Living and Americas Test Kitchen. However, I have been an avid fan of the WellPlated blog for over two years now and so when I saw she was releasing a cookbook I had to order one! The thought and attention to detail that went into this cookbook far surpass many of the others I own. Every recipe has a picture (a game-changer for those of us who like to cook with our eyes) and my favorite part is how she has embedded additional suggestions throughout. Every detail has been thought of and carefully addressed in this cookbook. If you're at all on the fence, go to her blog and try a recipe there and you'll be hooked!

Yes!! Just buy it!

What a beautiful book!! I know they say not to judge a book by its cover- but I am a sucker for pretty things and thankfully the recipes inside are just as amazing as what the cover portrays. Sometimes cookbooks can be a bit overwhelming and include ingredients that no normal person would ever have on hand or possibly have ever heard of. This book is EVERYTHING. The recipes are super approachable for everyone without sacrificing the “wow” factor. Food is all about comfort, love and sharing for me and this book gives you so much to work with- trust me, your friends and family will love you even more if you feed them the recipes in this book. :) I can’t wait to make them all!!

One of the best!

Erin's new cookbook, The Well Plated Cookbook: Fast, Healthy Recipes You'll Want to Eat, is one of the best cookbooks I've ever purchased and used. I have followed Erin's career through her blog, wellplated.com, for several years and have enjoyed recreating her recipes during this time. We make dinner at home for our family at least 5 days per week and cook at least one to two of the recipes from the Well Plated website each week. There hasn't been a recipe that we've not liked. Now, with The Well Plated Cookbook, I have been preparing three to four meals per week that Erin has created. Every recipe offers a ton of flavor and I feel good feeding my family food that we love, with a healthy twist. This cookbook does not disappoint! The recipes are simple to make and made with easy to find ingredients. I look forward to working my way through the cookbook and experiencing more of the healthy comfort food that I have enjoyed through the years!

“Eat” this one up!!

The Well Plated cookbook is fantastic. I love how the book is organized and the photos are beautiful. The recipes are fast and easy with ingredients that are not ones you need to search around the grocery store to find or spend a small fortune to buy. My family loves every recipe I have made from Erin Clarke from main dishes to sweets. Get this one, you will not be disappointed if you love healthy and delicious food!!

Health Meets Taste!

First off this is a beautiful cookbook ... I keep leafing through it, looking at the photos and recipes, just for fun! I have been following Erin's blog for years, and she is my favorite food blogger. My cooking (which was pretty great to begin with, in all modesty), has improved vastly, due to her recipes. The cookbook is further inspiration for cooking food that looks and tastes fantastic, and is good for our bodies!

Easy, healthy recipes that taste phenomenal!

I am not one to write reviews but I just had to rave about this book. I am a new mom (Which means I have just about no time or energy to think about healthy recipes that also taste delicious). Since I bought this book a month ago I have made SO MANY recipes from this book and they have been home runs with my husband and I. They are healthy and nutritious with simple ingredients that I can find at the grocery store and also use in multiple recipes! I’m loving it, it has helped me add fun variety to our dinners while also feeling good about what we’re eating! Thank you for your work on this book and for your fantastic blog, Erin!

Did I need another cookbook?

I constantly complain that we have too many cookbooks. My husband is a chef and the shelves are FULL of cookbooks that we may find one or two recipes that we like and use. So, why did I pre-order this cookbook? I have been a follower of Erin Clarke's blog for her amazing recipes. Her writing is down-to-earth and she provides market swaps and helpful hints that make her recipes easy to follow and make. We have already made over 10 recipes from the cookbook and have determined they are "keepers."

A must have!!!

I have had this cookbook for less than a month but have made at least 15 of the recipes and each one has been a hit! My husband gives this cookbook two thumbs up and we enjoy picking out which recipes we are going to try the next week. I have always hated spending time cooking just to have the meal turn out not great or be flavorless, but that is not the case with Erin’s cookbook! I bought this cookbook based on its great Amazon reviews, but quickly found Erin’s website and Instagram and pretty much get all of my recipes from those three sources now!

The best cookbook ever!!!

I love cookbooks. I must have 100 at least. By far this is the best cookbook! I use one recipe out of each book I have. This cookbook, Well Plated, I have made at least 20 of the meals, many multiple times and they are all EXCELLENT!!! The meals are healthy, but taste sinfully delicious! I even bought the cookbook for my son as a Christmas gift. I wrote on sticky notes for each of the recipes I made, what exactly I did or used. Wonderful cookbook!

Useful!

Multiple ways to use shredded chicken, multiple ways to jazz up baked sweet potatoes, directions for oven/crock/instant pot (whatever you've got!) - these are the simplest of things I like about this cookbook. But I also enjoy the way Erin writes, the creativity of her recipes, that she includes directions for freezing/storing, and the fact that the recipes are generally healthy so I don't have to feel bad using the cookbook often. Follow her on social media for an immersive cookbook experience (@wellplated) on insta).

Delicious and approachable recipes

Erin’s first cookbook is just as delicious, fun, and approachable as I could hope after using and loving the recipes from her blog for years. There are so many recipes I can’t wait to make! And the photos and writing make it such a treat to read. The book also include little surprises like sample menus, market swaps, and useful ingredient details (including both cups of chopped vegetables and count of whole veg - I’ve never seen another cookbook include this level of preciseness for the ease of its user!). This is one cookbook I’ll keep coming back to in every season, year after year.

Blog Follower & Cookbook Lover

I discovered Erin's blog a few years ago and loved her recipes, so I knew when her cookbook came out that I'd love it as well. And boy was I right. I've loved every recipe I've made so far (and my husband has as well). The images are beautiful, and the directions are easy to follow. The cover and internal pages are high quality. I like the extra tips and tricks she gives, and I enjoy her personal writing style - it's like reading a friend's letter to you as you cook. I highly recommend this, as you'll be purchasing a high quality cookbook that delivers a delicious ROI.

My favorite cookbook!

This has quickly become my favorite cookbook. I've tried nearly two dozen recipes since I received the cookbook just over a month ago and each has been amazingly delicious! The flavors are complex yet familiar. And just as important, the recipes are extremely well written and very easy to follow for both me and my budding pre-teen cooks. Don't hesitate to buy Erin's awesome cookbook. I'm already looking forward to her next one!

Food combos you'd never have thought of

Let's face it - today if you want a recipe for garlic chicken you go up on line and find one for free. The same is true for anything you can think of, which is why if you're going to buy a cookbook it should contain recipes that you'd never imagined. The Well Plated Cookbook delivers on that. As an example: Lentils with Charred Grapes. I'd never thought of grapes and lentils together, and I'd certainly never thought of CHARRING grapes. This book has many surprising recipes and they are easy enough for most people to be able to prepare as long as they've passed the ramen noodles three meals a day phase of life.

A cookbook for all

I received this cookbook as a gift from my sister. On first perusal, I flagged about 20 recipes that I wanted to make. I have made 4 already and they have all turned out great. I had most of the ingredients for all of them. You can add meat to side dishes to turn them into an entree or eliminate meat and create a vegetarian entree for friends. The extra tips and serving options were really helpful. I liked the cookbook so much that I purchased 8 additional copies to give to all my friends. Wonderful recipes, wonderful photos and the Midwest connection was just a bonus. This is a cookbook everyone should have.

Gourmet Recipes with Quick and Easy Instructions

I was so excited to receive my copy of the Well Plated Cookbook. Well Plated by Erin is in my top two favorite food blogs and by far the one that brings me the most joy. The cookbook has the same down-to-earth relatability as the website but all new recipes that look glamorous in the photos but are actually quick and easy to make with ingredients you have in the house. (Except for farro. I need to buy that soon because there are several amazing farro recipes I can’t wait to try!) I got the book on Thursday and that night I made the Picnic Slaw (yummy) and then Friday made the Book Club Salad. (See photo) I am extremely particular about salad dressing and the Book Club Salad has a great light and citrusy dressing that can be used on any salad and then Erin has three “back pocket” dressing recipes that I can’t wait to try. If you’re a cookbook junkie like me, you’ll love this one.

Delicious and nourishing spin on classic recipes!

I have been following the well plated blog for about six years, and have been blown away by the quality of recipes, healthy swaps and family pleasing options that Erin provides. When I saw that she was writing a cookbook, I pre-ordered a copy because I knew I would have to have it! This does not disappoint! Gorgeous photos, great clear directions and really awesome insights make this a winner! Really appreciate the tips in “leftover love” and “next level” suggestions. Just flipping through the pages has prompted countless bookmarking of recipes already. Thank you Erin for making me excited to cook again after falling into a recipe rut during the pandemic! I feel like this is just the thing to inspire creativity and bring back the joy of cooking delicious meals for my family!

Your friends will love you when you show up with one of these recipes !

Love this cookbook !! My new favorite ! The recipes are easy, delicious and healthy, the photography is amazing and the storytelling is delightful. Erin is the best ! She has taught me many things but I will never buy bagged shredded cheese again. She is making me a better chef and I look forward to exploring every part of this book. Just got my copy and have already made 3 new keeper dishes, to delight and amaze my friends.

Amazing!!!

Such an amazing cookbook! Beautifully done, easy to follow, gorgeous pictures and the food I’ve made so far is scrumptious. The Caprese Chicken Skillet was so delicious. It’s a delight for the senses! It’s beautiful and smells amazing while cooking and OMG it tastes so perfect it’s hard to believe that we’re eating healthy. Been helping my parents out during quarantine and trying to get them to eat better and they’ve been a bit resistant. I’ve made them a couple things from this book and they’ve both wanted seconds!!

Our go-to for hosting!

One thing that may have not been mentioned is since Erin's recipes are quick and simple to make this book is perfect when hosting friends for dinner because who has time for hours of cooking when you're also cleaning the house? All of our guests have walked away seriously impressed and would never have guessed so much flavor was so easy! We've found that somehow Erin's recipes are the best version of every dish! Clearly a ton of work went into perfecting each of them. Add that Erin took extra care to make these recipes wholesome and we've got a real winner here!

Extraordinary food for ordinary people

I am not one to typically write reviews, but this recipe book is totally worth coming out of my shell. For anyone who is looking to prepare delicious food with healthy ingredients that you can find at your local grocery store, it doesn’t get any better than this recipe book. Erin complements the exquisite food with fantastic writing, weaving in anecdotes, cultural notes, and interesting facts to add additional flavor to these meals. This is a recipe book to equip ordinary people to prepare extraordinary meals. Thanks to the author for the gift of this book for me, my husband, and our boys!

A little Bit of Everything with a Pinch of Sass

I started following her blog then Instagram after finding a make every other week recipe - Egg Roll Bowl - boys happy and I got something different that tasted decadent but checked every healthy box. This book is already stained and covered in fingerprints. Recipes for crock pot, instant pot, quick or lovingly watched over. Meticulous, no need to adjust for success like other books or recipes. Feels like a friend chatting while building the recipe. Every day, every occasion, a recipe that becomes a keeper. I have gifted to several friends, it’s that good. Thank you Erin!

In LOVE with this cookbook!

I love love love this cookbook. I already follow the website, but I still enjoy having cookbooks on hand for recipes and this one is great. Delicious recipes, with perfect instructions and great photos. I love all of the tips included with each recipe that can seriously elevate your meal plans! We have enjoyed every recipe we've made so far and I look forward to working our way through more of them! Did I mention I love this?

Want healthy? Want delicious? Buy this cookbook.

This cookbook is GORGEOUS and packed full of super easy, delicious, and healthy recipes. It has tons of helpful tips for leftovers and market swaps- which is especially helpful for the current times we’re living in. If you’re interested in healthy, flavorful, totally attainable recipes, Well Plated is the place to be. Can’t recommend this book highly enough!!

Amazing Healthy Recipes

I recently started following the food blogger on Instagram and what caught my attention on her recipes is they’re speedy and healthy. I had to get her cookbook! My 8yr old and I already put sticky notes on all the recipes we want to try! I made the Thai Peanut Chicken sit-fry last night and it was amazing!!! We all loved it! I’m trying the Caprese Chicken Skillet tonight! What I love about the recipes is that she provides left over tips, market swaps and other useful information. This is the first cookbook I’ve Owned where the cook author does this! I would recommend this 1000%!!

The BEST cookbook I own!

I’m always buying cookbooks thinking how much use I’m going to get out of them, only to end up disappointed after making a few dishes, and ultimately ending up with only one or two recipes that I really like in the whole book. This is absolutely NOT the case with this cookbook! I’ve made about 15 of the recipes so far and they have all been delicious. The recipes are fun to read, easy to follow and the results have been phenomenal. And the photos are gorgeous too! I just may have to go all Julie & Julia with this book and cook every single recipe.

Healthy and Good Food!

I've always enjoyed her online recipes so was really looking forward to her cookbook coming out. In this cookbook she shares a bit about herself and how she came up with some of the recipes. The recipes she's shared here are Good Tasting, easy to make, and it feels good in your body. We've enjoyed every single recipe we've tried and we've tried many from this book. We've learned to enjoy so many new ingredients and combinations. Hope she comes out with a second cookbook soon.

Yummy, healthy recipes in a beautiful cookbook!!

I am so excited for this book!! The ingredients are simple. The steps even simpler. There is a beautiful photo for every recipe that just makes you salivate. Everything looks and sounds delicious. I really cannot wait to make these recipes! She did an amazing job creating this book. I love when I can see photos of the recipes and she went above and beyond with everything she shares in the book.

Amazing even for beginners

This cookbook has been amazing. My girlfriend and I have tried 6 different recipes so far and all have turned out wonderful and delicious. Instructions are easy to follow and ingredients are easy to find as well. Could not be happier with my purchase.

Easy, delicious and awesome

I am OBSESSED with this cookbook! All the recipes are so easy to follow, fun to make, and every single dish I’ve made so far has turned out amazing. Every time I think I have a favorite Well Plated recipe, the next dish is even more delicious than the last. I always think, “I can’t believe *I* made this.” Plus, everything turns out looking just like the photos in the book — no Pinterest fails here! Lastly, I love that all the recipes end up in the “I’ll definitely make this again” category. I’ll use this cookbook over and over for a long time.

My new favorite cookbook!

I have tried several cookbooks over the years and they all seem to have recipes that are so complicated with ingredients or take so long to make that I end up making one recipe out of an entire book. With this cookbook, I’ve already made five recipes and counting! The recipes are easy, full of healthy ingredients, and they all have tasted so, so good. Every single one has turned out incredible and I can’t wait to cook my way through the whole thing!

Boring

The recipes were nothing special. The book spent more time and energy trying to promote itself. Very disappointing

Buy the book, you won’t regret it.

I had this cookbook in my cart for months. I finally pulled the trigger and now I’m mad that I waited so long! The book is amazing. I loved reading about the author in the beginning as it made me feel more connected. She’s a regular person, mom, wife who wrote a cookbook for normal people and moms. The recipes are easy, delicious, and most importantly easy to adjust to your liking. They are healthy, don’t require weird ingredients or techniques, and you won’t find yourself slaving in the kitchen for hours just to cook one meal. If you were contemplating spending the money, trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful Cookbook. Healthy, easy, delicious!!

Love love love this cookbook! I have been following Erin for a few years and could not wait for it to come out. It did not disappoint! The oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are perfection and my favorite cookie recipe ever. It’s a beautiful book and is such a great gift. I bought one for a friend and we have enjoyed trying so many recipes. I probably cook or bake an Erin recipe three times a week. I feel like she lives in my kitchen. I will be purchasing many more for Christmas gifts. Thanks so much Erin!!

it's absolutely perfect!

I have been a reader of Erin's Well Plated blog for years and she has never steered me wrong. I adore her blog recipes and when I say this cookbook exceeded my expectations you need to know that I ordered it with already extremely high expectations. Her recipes are approachable, made with ingredients you've actually heard of (and probably have in your pantry/fridge), quick enough for a weeknight meal, but also totally delicious and special for when you want to impress! And there is a picture for every recipe which we ALL know matters! I host a bi-monthly "family dinner" for friends & family and I almost always turn to an Erin Clarke recipe for the group...my dinner guests keep coming back so they must be good!

Excellent cookbook

I absolutely love this cookbook, every recipe I have tried so far has been easy to follow, with every day ingredients, and turned out amazing. I am a busy nurse with a three kids and a husband. I love to try new recipes but often do not have a lot of time to cook dinner. Erin’s recipes aren’t overly complicated, but my whole family has loved each one. Often when I am looking for a cookbook, I feel like I have to choose between healthy recipes and recipes that will be easy to cook and appeal to my family, but Erin’s recipes are healthy, simple, and delicious.

Beautiful, fun to read cookbook for everyday cooking that makes you feel like a five star chef

I've been following Erin on social media for several years and when I heard she was coming out with a cookbook I couldn't have been more thrilled! Her recipes never disappoint and now that I have them in book form it's even better. Drooling over the pictures and reading her stories are so much fun but then you actually make her recipes and find out how easy, delicious and beautiful they are they make you feel like a real chef!! Her tips and modifications are so appreciated and well put together. Also, you don't need any strange ingredients, she somehow has put together recipes with ingredients most of us already have in our kitchens. I have made 3 recipe so far and all have been extremely fantastic!! I can't wait to try every single one!! This is an absolutely fabulous cookbook to add to my collection. Thank you Erin for sharing your wealth of knowledge :)

This cookbook is incredible.

This is hands down the most beautiful cookbook I own. There are photos for every recipe which in my book is a necessity. There are no funky weird ingredients that I need to search out and find. Everything that I've tried from Well Plated has come out perfectly. There are quite a few recipes with pasta of some sort so if you are gluten free this may not be for you but otherwise the recipes are healthy, easy enough for a weeknight and she goes through details on how to cook everything so you aren't wondering how to assemble. If you are on the fence- go ahead and buy it. I'm going to order a few for gifts.

Delicious Recipes

I love Erin and her recipes. I'm a big fan of her daily email recipes. Recipes are very common things you have in the pantry. They are very healthy and my husband doesn't even know :) He hates when I say "eat it, it's good for you". He usually won't try it. I don't say that with Erin's creations. I just put it in front of him. I just sit back and smile when he goes for seconds. Thanks Erin for the fantastic book.

Biggest fan

First off, I have been a well plated fan for a few years now. The minute I found Erin's recipes, I knew they would be life long favorites. These recipes are amazing, healthy, photographed marvelously, and most importantly THEY TASTE GOOD. I have made so many recipes from Erin's site, I can't wait to test these book recipes out. Congratulations on your book, Erin! Go Badgers!

Great cookbook for all occasions: weekday, weekends, holidays

I absolutely LOVE to cook! Gourmet, weekday meals, comfort food and a good steak or roast. After "falling over" the blog last year, where we well in love with the crockpot apple sauce, I tried several more recipes. So when I heard of the cookbook, I preordered it. It has not let me down either. I have had to buy a lot of ingredients that have not been a staple in my kitchen; nuts, vanilla extract, maple syrup, new types of grains. But we have tried several recipes, and have not been disappointed yet. A challenges is getting the measurements right, since everything is in US and not Metric. I think it's part of the fun, and I use the Best Cooking Converter app for this; no problems whatsoever. Hope the next cookbook has more seafood recipes in it; being from Norway, fish is a 2-days a week ingredient.

Erin Clarke is delicious, healthy and AMAZING!

I have been following Erin on Instagram, Facebook and her website/blog for well over a year now. I have made MANY of her amazingly healthy recipes. If you are new to Erin, give her creations a try! You won't be disappointed. My kids LOVE her recipes too (2 teenage girls). Her Instagram stories are adorable, witty and entertaining. Congratulations to Erin on her cookbook debut! You have a long, creative career ahead of you. Continue to shine and create:) Looking forward to trying EVERY recipe in your book!

The Only Cookbook On My Counter

Bought this cookbook after making at least 50 recipes from the Well Plated blog. Erin's recipes are healthy, tasty and so reliable that I frequently try a recipe for the first time with dinner guests, and I'm a novice cook. Everything I've tried from main dishes to desserts has been fantastic and guilt-free. Other than a delicious banana bread brownie recipe from her blog, which is absolutely decadent, but oh so worth it! All I want to know is when is the next cookbook coming out and can I pre-order it?!

Delightful recipes!

I really love that Erin’s cookbook tries to use ingredients that you could find at your regular grocery store and I like the healthy swaps. I tried the chicken salad recipe and I really enjoyed it and I don’t even like chicken salad. The recipe calls for Greek yogurt instead of mayo and it made a huge difference! I also like that she includes possible swaps if there’s an ingredient you don’t like and info on prepping ahead and freezing/leftovers. It’s a great book and my friends and I have been enjoying making recipes from it!

Game Changer in the Kitchen!!

Not only is this a beautiful book with fun personal stories from Erin included throughout, but the recipes are ACTUALLY ones I want to make. I’ve looked at so many healthy cookbooks where I only find about 1/4 of the recipes appetizing or realistic to make. Every recipe in Erin’s cookbook looks delicious and it helps that she includes beautiful pictures of each so I know what the final product will look like. She has a way of taking ingredients that are easy to work with & find in your store, and turn them into flavorful, magical creations! I never considered myself a good cook until I started following the recipes from Erin’s blog-now I am confident I could wow anyone with one of her dishes! I just got my Well Plated Cookbook yesterday and already have my meals planned for the weekend...first up: blueberry banana bread, double chocolate fudge cookies, and the Brie & blackberry grilled cheese. Also can’t wait to try all 5 ways to load a sweet potato...some days you just need an easy meal that doesn’t require much time. I also love that her meals are all “leftover friendly”. This has saved me so much time & kept me on track with healthy eating during the week. Buy this book-it’s a must have in your cookbook collection & a game changer for how you will cook!! 💕

Fast, Healthy & Delicious

I have been following the Well Plated blog for a little over a year now and the cookbook did not disappoint. I love the simplicity of her recipes and that they are made with wholesome ingredients. I am always trying to cook healthier at home and this cookbook helps me do that without breaking the bank or going on a wild goose chase for ingredients that are hard to find. I was on the Whole30 for the first month after having this book and many of her recipes are easily modifiable for that diet. My favorite part of the cookbook is the page in the back with suggested menus; I think every book should have this. On top of the recipes being absolutely delicious, Erin Clarke has messaged me back on multiple occasions and is just the sweetest person. If you are on the fence about buying this, just go for it, you won’t be disappointed!

Healthy Recipes But NO Nutrition Info!

Looks like some great recipes that I’m looking forward to making. I gave it a three because there is ZERO nutritional information which always irritates me. Don’t write a healthy recipe book without taking the next step to include nutrition. If you’re using noom and want to log these recipes you have a lot of math to do.

This book hits all the marks

I have a cookbook blog called lovethiscookbook.com and regularly review cookbooks. I am very selective in the books I choose to ensure that they have delicious and easy to make recipes that come together easily. In addition I love a cookbook that has a variety of healthy recipes within. This book hits all the marks. Definitely would endorse this book and will be reviewing it early 2021 on my blog. You can’t miss with this one.

One of the BEST COOKBOOKS EVER!!!

I have been making Erin's recipes for several years now and have found them DELICIOUS. She has a talent for bringing our "standards" into modern times with improved methods, ingredients, shortcuts, nutrition!!!!!! This cookbook in particular is BEAUTIFUL! If you could eat the page, you would.............;) And Erin did not just rehash all the recipes she has posted over the years but actually developed new recipes just for this cookbook. Who does that!?! Erin, that's who. If you want to minimize the amount of cookbooks on your shelf, get rid of the others and get this one; if you want to add a stellar new cookbook to your collection, get this one; if you are an at-home-cooking novice, you will not go wrong if you start with this one......

The best cookbook ever!

I have made several of the recipes in this cookbook and oh my gosh, so flavorful and amazing! One of my favorites is the jambalaya! My goal is to make every recipe in this book. Thank you so much Erin!

Not just a cookbook....

I have been following Erin for the last year and have made many of the recipes from her blog. This cookbook is not only filled with many more wholesome, healthy recipes but it also has Erin's personality. You really get to know her through the pages. I very much enjoyed reading her introduction to not only the cookbook as a whole but also to each and every recipe. One can really sense the sheer joy and love she put into this book. I love the fact that the recipes are not complicated and don't require of exotic ingredients. She shares what she keeps in her pantry as "go to" items and for each recipe she offers additional tips as to what to do with leftovers etc. And it's all healthy! . This is the first time I have ever purchased a newly released cookbook and as I'm starting to see some of the recipes being posted online (which is part of the marketing) it's a little disheartening since the cookbook was quite expensive. Despite that, I plan to keep it and cook the heck out of it! Thanks for your years of hard work Erin! PS: You and Ben make a cute couple!!

Love it!

Worth the purchase!!! I started following Erin on her social medium platforms before she even started her cookbook. EVERY recipe I have ever made from her blog and now cookbook has been amazing! The cookbook itself is designed so well and it’s easy to read (my husband even commented on the perfect layout and organization of it!)! The pictures are beautiful and I know how much time and dedication she spent to making this cookbook perfect! In addition to her tasty recipes she gives so much knowledge and insight into cooking and different ways to elevate your dish or different alternatives on the same recipe. I would 100% recommend this cookbook to anyone, it’s our go to way to find meals right now!

Even if you think you are not a cook, this book will change your mind!!

This book is fun to read. Yes, read! It arrived three days ago. I looked thru it, finding simple basic ideas that make sense. The stories or introductions to each recipe, along with extra tips to change things up enticed me to want to make them. This book actually accompanied my husband and I to a resort! He had meetings and I poured over the book, listing what were to be my first experiments. My husband is the cook in my family, dubbing our house the best restaurant in town. The arrival of this book has changed that. Since returning home yesterday I have been the cook, making four of the recipes already. And yes, Erin, you are right! Thr roasted veggies virtually disappear from the pan before they ever make it to the table

Healthy and Delicious - BUY THIS BOOK

I have been following the Well Plated food blog since it was called the Law Student's Wife (or something like that), and Erin's recipes have become staples in my house. I was worried when ordering this cookbook that it would be duplicative of her blog, but it's not. I have already made 2 recipes from this book, and they are both knock outs. Not only that, there are DOZENS of other ones I can't wait to make. Unlike a lot of cookbooks where there are only one or two recipes that inspire me and lots of duds that don't fit my lifestyle or aren't appealing, EVERY recipe in this book looks great. Such a wonderful mix of delicious and healthy, I can't wait to cook more from it. HIGHLY recommended.

Love my cookbook

I love this cookbook. I find recipes for myself and my husband- we have different tastes. Also appreciate explanations and precautions such as why substituting an ingredient may not work and cooking times and why you should stick to them. I feel like the author has read my mind. Also how long can have leftover and freezing info. I used to have to this info up separately. Meals are easy, healthy and delish!

An excellent addition to my cookbook collection

This has become a go to cookbook for me. So many good recipes. I have tried several and they have all been flavorful, healthy and enjoyed by family. Thai Chicken Curry recipe is amazing!

Great cookbook full of approachable and healthy recipes

I have followed Erin for a few years and I knew this book would quickly become my every day cookbook. The recipes are not pretentious or impossible to follow or find ingredients. There are so many useful tips outside of the recipes as well, which really help anyone put a meal or side or desert together. I recommend this cookbook to everyone!

Great cookbook!

I found plenty of great recipes that I could modify to be vegetarian. The directions are very good and well thought out.

High quality cookbook!

This cookbook is amazing! I already followed Erin’s blog so I knew this cookbook would be one I should actually invest in. Everything I’ve tried tastes so good. My family especially loves the Italian Turkey Sausage Skillet. The cookbook itself was beautifully designed. It has such beautiful pictures. I actually have it out on my counter on display and not stuffed away on a bookcase. Highly recommend this cookbook!

Beautiful & delicious

I've been a fan of Erin's site for years and it has become a go-to for recipes. I was so excited to order a copy of her cookbook and have (literally) devoured it since it arrived in the mail. I've made a handful of recipes so far, all of which are delicious and easily adaptable. The recipes are generally healthy without feeling "healthy". It is evident how much thought & detail was put into each recipe. One of my new favorite cookbooks, by far!

No calorie or nutritional information

There is no nutritional or calorie information included with the recipes. Since I am counting calories, this book isn’t one I will use.

Love it! Tasty, accessible we

Love this cookbook! It has quickly become one of my favorites - I use it probably 2-3 times each week. My absolute favorite recipe is the green chicken enchiladas - we now regularly make this recipe for our Sunday dinner! We also LOVE the steak fajita ‘dillas, and the maple dijon salmon, and the Moroccan chicken, and the southwestern ranch salad, and and and.....! Seriously, you have to buy this cookbook. We’re a 30-ish couple who enjoy high quality, tasty home cooked food, but don’t want to deal with a ton of fuss or complexity after a busy day at work. Well Plated is absolutely perfect for us! The flavors strike a great balance of adventurous yet familiar, and the recipes are simple enough to be weeknight-friendly while still feeling like an intentionally designed meal (versus something thrown together at the last minute). By the way, I didn’t even realize until I started following the author on Instagram that she’s a first-time author. Um, wow!!! I can’t wait to see what Erin comes out with in the future.

Delicious and Nutritious!

The Well Plated cookbook makes healthy eating fun and attainable. Over the past two years I have struggled to find fun, flavorful recipes that were nutrient dense and wouldn't have me back in a cycle of fixing the same handful of recipes on a rotational basis that resulted in me eating the same thing 4 or 5 days a week. The Well Plated Cookbook has changed this. Every recipe I have tried has been delicious and I'm actually looking forward to being in the kitchen vs. eating out. Erin Clarke's recipes have been a breath of fresh air in my meal planning...I cannot recommend this cookbook enough!

Great book

I love this book, the pictures are beautiful & the recipes are easy to follow. If you are a beginner or an expert you’ll love this book!!

Best Cookbook I've Invested In

Without a doubt, the best cookbook I've purchased (and I've purchased a LOT). The instructions are simple, clear and easy to follow and the pictures are amazing. The Crispy Pineapple Carnitas are already a family favorite as is the Sweet Potato Soup. The one thing I wish for would be more guidance on converting some of the recipes to gluten-free

Excellent Cookbook

I preordered this cookbook after following Erin’s blog...really great recipes with simple easy to read instructions. Each dish has a beautiful photograph to accompany it and I love her suggestions for leftovers. The Maple Roasted Squash Salad with Arugula is amazing!!!! Her maple dijon dressing is a staple in my house. I make it every single week. It goes on all types of salads!!

Can’t wait to try the next recipe

First amazon review. When a cookbook advertises as “healthy” you anticipate a lot kale salads and ingredients you’re not familiar with. But no...Mac and cheese with a few changes yum, yum! Excited to make the next recipe!! Update: as I’m cooking my way through, each recipe is better than the next! Highly recommend and follow @wellplated on IG

Excellent cookbook

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS COOKBOOK. The recipes are easy to read and follow. Every recipe I have made has been absolutely DELICIOUS! The photos are very pleasing and make you want to make each dish right away. Would highly recommend this cookbook.

SO many good recipes

I'm a cookbook lover and I will always praise and recommend a good cookbook—this is one of them. I love that this cookbook makes healthy, hearty dishes SO flavorful. In fact, the Garlicky Kale had my husband texting me from work saying that it was "the best kale he's ever head." There are fresh, new ingredients that you wouldn't typically cook with in the Standard American Diet but are totally reasonable and easy to find in the grocery store. I HIGHLY recommend this for anyone wanting to feed themselves wholesome, healthy, and delicious meals.

My new favorite cookbook!

Phenomenal. There is so much packed into this book. Tips for storage. Ideas to change up the recipe. I’ve made the scones and the apricot glazed pork, and I’m blown away. I can’t wait to make allllll of theses recipes. A great kitchen resource. Beautiful printed. Worth every penny.

A cookbook I actually use!

Loving this cookbook! I’ve cooked over 20 recipes so far and still have so many to try. The recipes are easy to follow, healthy, and delicious! Try the pork carnitas and the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies...you won’t be disappointed!

Affordable.Healthy. Comfy , Sensible , Achievable

I looked for a long time for a cookbook that was RIGHT for me. I am healthy , I workout, my food is very important to me. Yet I’m not fancy and need to feel like the recipe is achievable. This is that cookbook ! I’ve had it about a month and have made at least 6 dishes !!! It’s relatable, I am not VEGAN but have enjoyed the vegan recipes as well. Buy this cookbook, you won’t be disappointed.

Amazing cookbook!

This cookbook provides so many wonderful tips, recommendations, and the recipes are amazing! It includes classics with a twist as well as unique creations. The photos are beautiful, and I love how the book is designed.

Just beautiful!

I've been following Erin's recipes all summer and I've probably made 20 of her recipes off the website, all delicious and healthy. So when I had a chance to preorder the cookbook, I didn't hesitate and I just received it yesterday. It's beautiful, bigger than I anticipated, and the photography makes it coffee table worthy. I can't wait to get cooking! This would make a wonderful gift....

Easy and with flavors the average American will eat

I am an avid "healthy" home cook. Some of the recipes are ones that I would have made-up myself; but, there are enough new ideas that I have very happy with adding this book to my collection. My son LOVES the Whole Wheat Banana Blueberry Muffins!

What about your gluten-intolerant customers?

I love Erin’s recipes online, and was eager to support her by buying her book. Online, she offers many gluten free recipes, or at least ways to make her recipes gluten free. I was so disappointed when I received the book to find not a single mention of the word gluten. Not even a mention in the resources section, as if gluten intolerance doesn’t exist. Very disappointing.

Been raving about this book to everyone!

I’ve never actually cooked from a cookbook so much as I have over the last couple weeks with Well Plated! The recipes are easy to make, Everything we’ve tried has been a hit, our favorite being the Thai peanut chicken stir fry, which we served over brown rice pad Thai noodles. YUM! I love that she includes market swaps so you can customize the recipe or just use up what you already have in the fridge, and there are super simple, delicious sheet pan recipes for nights when we don’t think about dinner till the last minute. Can’t wait to try more!

Delicious and easy to follow recipes!

Absolutely love this cookbook! Easy to follow recipes, healthy options, and beautiful photos. I bought this book January 3rd and have already made 10 recipes. Genuinely love them all so far. I’ve been looking to rework my cook book collection (so I would actually use them!) and this is a great foundation. Highly recommend!!

Crowd Pleaser recipes!

I have been making a handful of Erin’s recipes from her website for awhile now and I was so excited to finally have some at my fingertips (literally!) I made the caprese skillet this weekend and my two young girls loved it, much to my surprise since they are so picky! So I’m hoping this will be a family pleaser cookbook, but either way I love the recipes because they don’t require a ton of ingredients I will never use again and I am loving her cooking tips in general. Looking forward to making many more dishes and drinks out of this book!

Great cookbook for healthy eating

Erin makes recipes that we make regularly on her blog so it was a no-brainer to get her cookbook! The cookbook is well laid out with ready information on substitutions and pictures for every recipe which is great!

This cookbook will stand the test of time

Healthy, easy, delicious and flexible recipes make for a cookbook that will serve my family for decades to come. I love how the author offers “market swaps” so you can keep the recipes fresh no matter how many times you make them, recommends the best healthy ingredients and gives tips about storage and prep on every page. I’m not the kind of person who enjoys spending hours in the kitchen or hunting down a weird ingredient at the grocery store. But I still want to eat healthy, tasty home cooked food - and this cookbook delivers. My favorite recipes are the Summer Celebration Orzo Salad, the Thai Peanut Chicken Stir-Fry, and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Also, the writing in this cookbook is amazing! From heart-warming and funny stories in the intros to clear and precise instructions, it’s clear the author’s heart (and a lot of attention to detail) went into this book!

Beautiful pictures, great food!

Great cookbook! I have to admit, I don’t cook that often, but this cookbook has helped me put dinners on the table that surprised my husband. The recipes are easy to follow, great tasting, and healthy. The pictures are beautiful too.

Awesome cookbook!!!

I've had "Well Plated" for a month now and love it!! Easy to follow recipes that range from super simple ingredients, to fancier beautiful dishes. Regardless, there's something for every occasion. Even if just a simple warm breakfast bread to go with you coffee in the morning.

My new favorite cookbook

I have enjoyed the recipes from the Well Plated website and wanted to get tithe cookbook as well. Every recipe we have had is delicious. Erin’s recipes are always easy to follow and you can find all of the ingredients at a regular grocery store. Our current fav is the sheet pan tandoori chicken recipe.

Such a great buy!

What an amazing cookbook! So organized, so well thought out. I have purchased so many cookbooks this year but just one read through of this one and I can tell it’s going to be well loved and well used in our home. It’s a healthy cookbook, but it isn’t overwhelming! It’s using normal ingredients I think anyone would have in their pantry. Erin offers swaps, ideas, and gives you tools to even add some fun stuff to her recipes. So, so excited- so happy with this book!!

My new favorite cookbook!

I can't tell you how much I love this cookbook. I can say I read the reviews and some of them were right about so many of these recipes not being gluten free (even though she never suggested they were, so I don't know why so many of you got hung up on that? "Healthy" doesn't HAVE to be GF) but if gluten free isn't a concern of yours, I would say DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY THIS BOOK. My favorite recipe so far in this is her fruit and honey scones. I just made them this morning and man they came out perfect! There are so many recipes I can't wait to try out!

Well Plated: It's what's for dinner tonight

This cookbook is the best I own. I pre-ordered it in February because I love the associated blog and could not wait to have new recipes in my hands. Everything is super easy to make with ingredients I can get at any grocery store. The writing is easy to follow and I love the pictures! I'm getting hungry as I write this review because everything in there is to die for. One of the best features is the sample menu's for any type of party as well as for dietary restrictions. Highly recommend!!

Amazing recipes - maybe not for picky palate families

I have made about 2 dozen recipes from this cookbook and I have liked them ALL! The flavors are rich. The dishes feel hearty and healthy. My kids have liked some of them. My kids aren't super picky but do have a hard time with dishes that have too many different things mixed together. But I keep making them to expand their palate!

The Sacred Text

We use this cookbook in my house 3-4 times a week, so much so that my husband jokingly calls it the Sacred Text. Every recipe is healthy and delicious. Snacks, meals, desserts -everything is delicious and made with wholesome ingredients. I have bought a few books to give as Christmas gifts. I can’t recommend this highly enough!

Simple, sleek, delicious

This book is beautifully put together, from the texture of the cover and pages to the colors of the pictures. The recipes and easy to follow and the flavors are AMAZING! I’m super excited to try each one. Well done on your first book abs thank you for sharing your ideas with me (and everyone else!). This is a must buy or must gift book!

Amazing, Beautiful and Wonderful Recipes

I ordered Erin’s cookbook back in February/March and was THRILLED the day it arrived. The recipes are full of fresh wholesome ingredients and are absolutely delicious! My 4 year old twins enjoy eating the meals, “Mommy, you’re the best cook ever!” And they also enjoy looking through the cookbook at the pictures of each recipe. I am excited to make more recipes from Erin’s cookbook and enjoy them with my family. Thank you, Erin! Well Plated is beautiful and wonderful!

I now know to cook!

What a sensational cookbook! I, too, was so happy to get my copy. I love the blogs and the recipes are spot on. I was not a cook before and I even had a friend give me a cookbook called I don’t know how to cook book, to no avail. Now my husband and I share home cooked meals and my favorite recipe is the salmon wrapped in foil while my husband really enjoyed fish and chips for his number one choice. You rock Erin! Suzy Martin

No nutritional information?!?!

To be fair, I have not made anything from the book yet. The instructions seem easy and the pictures are beautiful. However, unlike her website, these recipes do not have any nutritional information. This means I will have to input into a tracking site (such as MFP) before I can even decide if a recipe fits into my macros. While I generally do that anyway to ensure accuracy based on the brands I use, I use a recipe’s nutritional information to inform my meal planning decisions.

My nightly cookbook!

Erin’s online recipes have been my go-to for a couple years now, I know I can always find something healthy and delicious! My absolute favorite is the buffalo chicken sweet potatoes which I cook 1-2x per month. I tried one of the instant pot farro risotto recipes from this book and it was great. Tonight I made sausage and apple stuffed acorn squash from her website, by searching with the ingredients I had on hand. Nutritious meals that don’t ever short on flavor!

Tasty!

I've made three recipes so far: Melon Margaritas, Caprese Chicken Skillet, and Sticky Asian Cauliflower Wings. All were delicious! The recipes are detailed and precise, and the tips and market swaps provide helpful information. I bought this book because I've made a ton of recipes from Erin's blog, and all are well-written and have spot-on flavors. I will be making many more recipes from this book and from her blog!

Highly recommend!

I loooove this cookbook! We’ve tried a new dinner recipe every night since I got the cookbook and we are in love! We don’t eat a lot of meat at our house and if we do it’s chicken so this cookbook is perfect for our taste! I love that the beginning of the book talks about substitutes for ingredients and also the recipes have tips on storage for leftovers or make ahead! The recipes are so quick and easy too!!!! I’ve been recommending this cookbook to everyone I talk to!

10/10 Stars!

I’ve been following Erin on Instagram for a while now, and her recipes have never disappointed. So the moment she announced that she was coming out with a cookbook, I knew I had to get my hands on a copy. It was definitely worth the wait, because I have yet to have a bad recipe from this book. Not only are they healthy and delicious, but they’re also very easy to make! You don’t have to be a professional chef to be able to follow along. I definitely recommend this cookbook for everyone!

What I Hoped For and More!

LOVE this cookbook! I'm not sure I've actually ever ~read~ a cookbook the way I've actually read this one! There is so much content beyond the recipes, from Erin's initial pep talks to the suggestions on what to do with leftovers to a variety of tips. And there are SO many recipes and pictures and ideas. This is a fabulous choice for yourself or as a gift.

Good food with no Nutritional information

Some very tasty recipes, but dissapointed in the fact that a book that has "Healthy" in the title gives no nutritional info on any of its recipes.

Excellent healthy and easy cookbook!

My husband and I like to cook and have found so many great recipes in this cookbook! We’ve only had the cookbook for a couple months, but have used it quite a bit! A great cookbook if you are looking for delicious, healthy, easy meals that are perfect for any weeknight or weekend!

I can do this!

These recipes can be done by the average cook who wants great food without a lot of time, steps, and ingredients you'll never use again. Beautiful pictures and stories about why she chose these recipes.

Must Have Cookbook

I have followed Erin on IG for a long time and have always enjoyed her recipes. Her recipes are perfect for me - healthy, easy to get/normal ingredients and great taste. I pre-ordered her cookbook because I was excited to see what she included and I wanted to support her for all the great recipes she's shared over the years. The book definitely did not disappoint! Normally when I buy a cookbook I look through and find just a handful of recipes I actually want to try. In this cookbook I have so many I want to try that it's going to take me awhile to get through them all! Everything sounds wonderful and the pictures are beautiful and inspiring. Definitely recommend picking up a copy of this cookbook!

Favorite healthy cookbook!

I’ve followed Erin on IG for some time and used several of her recipes from her website-I’ve NEVER made anything that didn’t taste good! She’s the real deal- my boyfriend and I loveeeee making food from her cookbook. We probably made 5 dishes so far from it and they’re definitely going to be repeats! I appreciate the depth of flavors these healthy dishes have.

Great giftable cookbook

I got this for my mom’s Birthday. She loves cooking and aims for a pretty healthy lifestyle. She has come back to me numerous times with colorful photos if what she has made and to rave about how much she loves it.

Like cooking with a patient, talented friend!

Pre-ordered this cookbook, could hardly wait to receive it, and it exceeded expectations! Delicious, clean, family-friendly food, recipes delivered in easy-to-follow style with plenty of gorgeous photos so you know what your goal is! It's like cooking with a patient, oh-so-talented friend. Highly recommend!

My first cookbook in years...

I quit buying cookbooks so long ago and have not really looked at one that made me change my mind until the Wellplated cookbook. After following Erin on Instagram, I knew I needed her book. I was correct! It is not only full of great recipes, but the photos and helpful tips are wonderful. I can't wait t to try all of the recipes! My first recipe was The Blu Ribbon Chili, it was a hit at our family's annual chili cook-off.

This is my new “go-to gift” for friends and family!

I haven’t used an actual cookbook in years. Now it’s the first place I go when meal prepping! I’ve made several of the meals and love them all. Simple and so good! I appreciate the tips the author shares too! This is “the gift” I will be giving to friends and family this year!

Obsessed with this cookbook!

Waited 6 months for this cookbook to arrive and it did not disapppoint! Every recipe I tried has been tasty and delicious. The photography is beautiful and the variety of recipes is outstanding. Love it so much I bought a copy for my daughter and soon to be daughter-in-law.

Beautiful Photos and High Quality Production

Erin has amazing recipes on her blog that I've been following for the past 2 years, and when I hear the book was coming out, it was great to get her greatest hits all in one place.

New go to cookbook!

This cookbook is well written and has wonderful photos of each recipe. I have bookmarked a ton to try and so far have made the banana bread which was moist and very flavorful. It has now replaced my tried and true recipe that I have used for a while. We also loved the Green Chili Chicken Enchiladas. There was quiet at the table as everyone was too busy eating to talk. The homemade sauce was easy to make and was better than the canned versions you buy. The Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Peanut soup is another favorite. I have been eating this for lunch all week and it is Delicious! I have a very large cookbook collection and The Well Plated Cookbook has now become one of my favorites!

Amazing

The best cookbook I have had in some time! Delicious, healthy, easy- and so practical! I love the simple multi use ingredients & leftovers suggestions. Cooking my way through this book & loving every recipe!

Great staple cookbook

I’ve read through all of the recipes and tried a couple. Everything looks amazing and delicious. I love how she included pictures for each and every recipe. I also love the leftovers and storage suggestions. For example for certain entrees that may have been served hot, she mentions reheating doesn’t produce the best results, but it may be enjoyed atop a salad and eaten cold. There truly are no complicated ingredients, and there are some one-pan/pot and instapot recipes included. As a person who loves cooking with an abundance of fresh produce and sneaking in healthy fruits and veggies wherever I can, I will be reaching for this book on a very regular basis!

Creative Healthy dishes For every taste

The recipes in this book are easy to follow healthy dishes. The recipes are incredibly creative. The photos are gorgeous and I love all of the tips. It’s like viewing the menu of my favorite restaurant. I am so glad I preordered this book from one of my favorite food bloggers. You should add this to your collection.

Even My Husband Loves This Book!

We can't be more excited to use this book. I've been cooking with her online recipes for sometime now and loving most all of them. The recipes in this book are all new and now my husband has started cooking from it. They are healthy recipes without scrimping on flavor. We highly recommend it?

This cookbook is a must-have!

I'm not a cookbook person but this is one cookbook that should appeal to just about anyone. The pictures alone are worth the price of the book. They are beautifully photographed and will make your mouth water. My family and I are huge fans of Erin and her recipes. We have tried several already and each one was delicious, unique and simple to prepare. Her cooking tips are extremely helpful and she even tells you the best way to store or freeze the leftovers. We haven't had any leftovers at our house. Her dishes practically disappear as soon as they are served because they are so good! This would be a great gift for any cook and I highly recommend it!

Excellent cookbook! Makes healthy eating taste GREAT!

I have made several recipes from this cookbook and have enjoyed every single one so far!!! The carrot cake was delicious, zucchini snack cake, blueberry banana bread, green chili enchiladas, the sheet pan meals....all so good!!! I LOVE the tips on each recipe with market swaps (variations of the recipe) and how to store the dish and for how long! My favorite cookbook by far!!!! I even purchased one for a friend of mine getting married in two weeks!!! We will be comparing recipes!!!

Awesome cookbook!

I love this cookbook!! It has so many great recipes - easy to follow.

Great Cookbook!

I preordered this book several months ago because I follow her on Instagram. I've made several of her recipes and they are all easy to follow and delicious. This cookbook is the same! I've marked so many dishes I want to try. Out of the few I've made so far, we've loved them all! It's also a beautiful book with great pictures. A must for any kitchen.

Highly recommended

I usually just look up recipe ideas online, but this cookbook is SO much better! Erin Clark has created a masterful compendium of delectable recipes that are perfect for foodies and health nuts alike! The photos are gorgeous and inspiring, while the recipes themselves are easy to follow. It makes a wonderful gift for anyone who enjoys spending quality time in the kitchen!

Healthful and creative meals!

This book inspired me to begin again and empowered my confidence in cooking. Sometimes we forget the basics of a little heat, seasoning, and fresh veggies. Thanks for simple and healthy recipes for me and my family!

A must have for delicious, healthy and easy recipes!

Erin’s cookbook includes amazing recipes just like her blog. I’ve been making her recipes for a couple of years now and have found her to be my go to for any recipe. I couldn’t wait for the release of her cookbook and highly recommend it for easy, healthy and delicious recipes. I can’t wait to try more!

Love this book!

Great new recipes to try (and not go crazy trying to make). Erin also provides tons of helpful info like market swaps and ways to spice up some of the more "boring" staples like chicken breasts, etc. The photography is beautiful and her writing style is fun and approachable. I can't remember actually reading a cookbook beyond the ingredients and this one is like a little story on each page.

Perfect cookbook for both new and experienced home chefs

Amazing! Recipes that are straightforward, include ingredients that aren’t intimidating or outrageous, and sound delicious. Erin’s philosophy of healthy, approachable meals that are still yummy (and at times, indulgent) shines through. I especially love the side bars, which include pro tips for newer cooks, leftover ideas, and make-ahead and storage tips - all with the goal to make cooking a less overwhelming endeavor. The kind of cookbook I’d gift to both my friends new to the kitchen and those looking for fun new recipes. Cannot wait to get cooking!

Nutrition information missing...

I love her recipes. The reason for the 3 stars is the lack of nutrition information with the recipes. The website has everything calculated so I assumed the book would as well. It’s disappointing for a cookbook that is focused on healthy cooking to omit this info.

Wonderfully accessible healthy recipes to share with those you love! Enjoy!

What an accomplishment to give us a book that generates anticipation for the first recipe, and then the next, and so on. Since following Erin Clarke's blogs with great recipes and comments, I am delighted to have this beautifully formatted hard copy. Tomorrow I will start with Whole Wheat Blueberry Banana Bread and then on to any of the other recipes. What fun it would be to have this for a book club selection and we would all cook for each other! Many thanks for getting this easy to follow cookbook out to us!

Love it!

I've been a blog follower of Well Plated for awhile. All of Erin's recipes are home runs. I made the Thai Peanut Chicken Stir Fry last night and she's right - the sauce is the best i've ever had. Don't second guess yourself. Buy the book. Attention to detail is an understatement - the time and effort that went into this book is evident from page 1. At no point will you be wondering how to swap ingredients or which alternate cooking methods to use. Erin has you covered - in detail.

Love This Cookbook

My mom and I have collected cookbooks for years and this one is my new favorite! I love the way Erin explains each recipe. You just feel like you know her and she tells of her experience with that particular recipe and it makes you want to try it as well. The recipes are all easy to follow and use ingredients that are not hard to find. The recipes I have tried so far have been wonderful! My husband and I are both enjoying them. There is such a great variety of recipes too. I definitely recommend The Well Plated Cookbook!

New favorite

I can’t wait to try all these recipes. There isn’t one recipe I wouldn’t make. I enjoyed the suggested menu at the back of the book. I don’t have to thumb through the book to figure out what dish would go best for date night or dinner with friends. Wonderfully put together and easy to navigate.
