The Psalms in Color Inspirational Coloring Book with Scripture for Women and Teens

This is a lovely Scriptural based coloring book from Christian Art Publishers. There are 55 pages of full designs as well as 7 pages of bookmarks, cards, and gift tags. All of the full designs in the book (as well as most of the extras) include a verse from The Psalms. The translations used are a variety: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version. The Scripture is beautifully integrated into the lovely designs so that, while the words speak to the heart, the colorist can enjoy the beautiful illustrations as well. I like the there is such a large variety of designs but with the grounding of a single book of the Bible. The Psalms are the book I turn to when I am most troubled. The problems the Psalmist struggled with and the words he speaks to God usually find an echo in the things that I am struggling with as well. Once my niece cracked it open and my mother caught a glimpse of all the little sayings and intricate designs, she quickly took it back and fell in love with it. This is BY FAR one of my favorite adult coloring books! I started coloring almost a year ago, and have purchased several books with varying levels of satisfaction and results. This one, though, is my favorite and I will be taking it on vacation. The patterns are just the right size to color, and have some keystone verses that are sure to inspire and relax. The page thickness is just right, as some tend to be so thin that the colors bleed. I used the Staeder Fine Liner gel pens (also purchased here), and absolutely love them!

I bought this as a gift for my great aunt who lost her husband and is using coloring to heal. It is so beautiful. It has cards in the back and even a page of gift tags. Some pages are harder and some easy. She called everyone and said how beautiful it was. I'm ordering one for myself. The pages are thick enough for markers too. I really really recommend this for anyone. I wish I could start a Bible study coloring group. LOL

I bought 5 different coloring books for my friends this year with inspirational verses in them. This one outshined them all by leaps and bounds. The quality of the images is so much better than others. Unlike other books, the words were not always filled in with black, most of the time you get to color in the lettering which I find meditative and relaxing and helps me focus on the meaning. The images are perfect for an adult coloring level, not too small, not too big, great shapes and flows of patterns that are relaxing, never monotonous and not so small it's just frustrating. Each page brought beauty and life to the psalms. The pages are thick and can be removed for hanging, they tear out easily without ripping the edges and it even includes pages of bookmarks, gift tags and cards.

This coloring book has been a blessing to me. There is nothing like coloring bible verses that gives you so much hope and assurance. As I color, I am able to meditate on these verses and feel at ease knowing that God's promises are true. A must buy!!

I bought two of this for gifts for Mother’s day, along with the staedtler fineline markers, and my Mother and MIL were both thrilled. This was a gift for my mega religious mother. She passed it off as just a coloring book and handed it over for my niece to use. Once my niece cracked it open and my mother caught a glimpse of all the little sayings and intricate designs, she quickly took it back and fell in love with it. She didn't realize how theraputic and calming it was to color so she has discovered a new past time as well. I would definitely recommend this gift for your basic Christian.

Just like "My Favorite KJV Verses to Color" this book is perfect! Again, the cover is beautiful and the pictures are wonderful. Bright white, thick paper that is perforated. The pictures are one sided which I love! Bic Mark Its and Sharpies bleed thru, so if you don't remove the picture from the book when you color be sure to put something behind it. This was my first book & The Pictures are very detailed. There is a lot of Patience required.. Although I like the Bible verses I am going to look for one that doesn't require so much detail coloring.

I love that there is room in the margin for lots of notes. I have given this book as a gift for several friends and it has been a huge hit that they are working out of for several years...a gift that becomes a treasure. I am very pleased with this book.

This was the best Christian coloring book available on Amazon as far as I’m concerned. I looked through many many different Christian coloring books and this by far had the best coloring pages in comparison to some of the others which I found “silly” or just not something overly attractive. Not to mention, I really loved that this coloring book had removable colorable cards in the back, especially because that is exactly what the person I bought this for wanted. Simply put, if you are going to buy a Christian coloring book on Amazon, buy this one.

I purchased several adult color books for different people on my Christmas list, along with packets of color pencils. I was very happy with all of them. Quality and designs! This one, "The Psalms In Color", is very beautiful and perfect for gifting your believing friends, or for yourself!

I put this in a bag with other items for a friend that was going into the hospital, along with some colored pencils for something for her to do while she recovered. It served dual purpose - something for her to do, with beautiful psalms for inspiration. Since it was a gift I don't really know how much she enjoyed it, but it seems like a thoughtful gift.

Some of the picture ideas are really nice, but so many are filled with words and pre-colored (black) sections, that you can not make any artistic product from the structures. Bible verses should not be built into the art as if a poster, but offered in some other way- in the frame, as an insert that can be detached and pasted, etc.

I have a religious mother who needed help with finding ways of calming down in a healthy manner. I found this and decided that it was just too perfect to pass up. I got it & she loved it! She uses it all the time as a way to calm down. It's perfect & I am so happy I got it. (Plus, I got favorite kids points :) lol Score!!)

This coloring book has beautifully done artwork, with inspiring psalms written inside. It has easy-tear single sided pages to color, with thicker paper perfect for using with gel pens or markers! I loved the variety of pictures it had, as well as the 'extras' to color in the back; the bookmarks, cards, gift tags etc. These have smaller versions of the same pictures in the main part of the book. I actually purchased this as a gift for a family member, but I like it so much, I might have to get one for me as well! :) Highly recommended! And I received nothing for my legitimately honest review! :)

Gave this to my wife for Christmas, she loves the cover alone! She liked most of the pages artwork but not all appealed to her. But that's a personal preference for her. Great quality book! Hope they make other designs/styles. May give as a gift in the future again.

I love this coloring book. I had one earlier that I had to leave behind when I traveled, so I bought it again. The positive and negative part of it is that the artist uses the same leaves and flowers over and over again. That could get boring, but it challenged me to try new ways to color the same designs. I love the artwork and the biblical messages. They are very encouraging!

Absolutely gorgeous spiritual coloring book!! The designs and scripture are wonderful. The paper is a very high quality, close to cardstock thickness. The designs are so gorgeous, that you'll want to frame every picture you color. The majority of the designs are what I would describe as medium in detail. Not too easy and not really difficult. I'm very happy that I purchased this book! In the back of the book, you even get some extra goodies to color. Bookmarks and other types of small things to color and share with friends and family!

The paper is good for pencils, markers and gel pens. The pictures are centered on the page. I'm really enjoying the pictures and psalms. Would recommend this book.

Amazing inspirational pictures to color!! I love the pictures, from simple to very complex. My issue is this: When using colored pencils, a blush pink becomes an odd grayish-pink. The ink from the lines bleeds. Granted it doesn’t make the entire coloring area gray, but the edges are definitely not clean or crisp when using light colors.

Love this coloring book great details in it the weight of the page is nice and the color is nice and I like it that if you want to you can tear out the picture that you colored Very inspiring words must have to add to your collection.

I got this for my mother and she loves it. It's very relaxing for her to be able to color and read the scripture that comes with it.

I gave this to a dear friend of mine for her birthday, and my friend loved it. She told me she loved how the pages weren't back to back as she uses markers for some of her coloring pages. She was also happy that the pages were very easy to tear. I personally loved it because it would help my friend remember Scripture everytime she uses the coloring book to relax.

Most of the drawings are rubber stamp-like. much like a roll of wall paper with repeating designs. Many designs have little if any connection to the psalm, sort of random. Not my favorite adult coloring book.

Love the palms. Started working on a random page right away and find it a perfect meditative mantra for today. Bookmarks, gift tags and cards are an added bonus because I correspond with several people and make cards so these are perfect.

This is my favorite thing I got for Christmas. It really relaxes me to color. We waste so much time online and it is stealing humanities creativity. I much rather waste time doing something creative than staring at a stupid screen all day. It is a beautiful book. Each page is perferated so you can tear out a page.

This is my second purchase from this seller and both times I was gifting it to someone. They both love it! They especially love being able to color in their own bookmarks in the end. The book comes where each page to color is on the right side of the bind and the left side is a blank page making it much easier to color. The second book came a little bent but I think that was from the mail carrier because it had proper packaging. Definitely worth buying twice :)

So so beautiful. Each of the design are high quality and super super beautiful. I wish I could take a picture of each of them and put it up, but I'm not sure if that is allowed for copyright reasons... Anyway, great scripture verses from the Psalms, and the great design, makes me want to color all the time. This has been my new hobby and pretty happy about it.

Well just kinda happy about this one but I will use it..SUCH little spaces to color.. Drawings need to be a little bigger so you can use color pencils.

The paper is smooth, but a little disappointed that it's not thicker. I can put a blotter behind each page as I work on them and affix them to card stock if I want to keep them, so not a problem.

For relaxation. I have a very stressful job, dealing with Dementia clients. I assist them with doing colouring and painting. It’s so very relaxing that I decided to get some for myself. It works!

I got this for my mother who has been in lockdown in assisted living. She hasn’t had much to do but color. This is one of her favorite coloring books I’ve given her.

The scriptures are beautifully printed. The only thing I don't like is the texture of the paper it's a little slick but not bad. Lots of different scriptures and designs. There are plenty of big coloring pages and a small section in the back of cards and tags and stuff. The book was thicker than I thought it would be. Definitely a good buy.

I bought the matching cards first which are miniatures on very stiff cardboard to color. I liked them so much that when I saw the full sized book I bought it immediately.

I am so glad I purchased this! It is absolutely beautiful- the verses the book contains correspond perfectly to the art. I love sitting down in the evenings or early mornings to color pages in, it's a perfect way to get creative with God! I've cut out the bookmarks that are at the end of the book and glued them to cardstock- they are so cute!!

This is a lovely Scriptural based coloring book from Christian Art Publishers. There are 55 pages of full designs as well as 7 pages of bookmarks, cards, and gift tags. All of the full designs in the book (as well as most of the extras) include a verse from The Psalms. The translations used are a variety: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version. The Scripture is beautifully integrated into the lovely designs so that, while the words speak to the heart, the colorist can enjoy the beautiful illustrations as well. I like the there is such a large variety of designs but with the grounding of a single book of the Bible. The Psalms are the book I turn to when I am most troubled. The problems the Psalmist struggled with and the words he speaks to God usually find an echo in the things that I am struggling with as well. Here is a brief overview of what I found in this coloring book: 62 Pages of Designs based on The Psalms Designs printed on one side of smooth, white, heavyweight perforated paper Glue Binding Most designs merge past perforations into the binding area Alcohol-based makers bleed through the page Water-based markers, India ink pens, and gel pens do not bleed through the page though gel pens require a longer than usual drying period Coloring pencils were mixed. I had good results with waxed-based soft lead pencils and hard lead pencils in general. Oil-based soft lead pencils laid down good color but did not blend well. There are smaller projects in the back like bookmarks which make nice little gifts, to and from tags, etc. There are a variety of scripture verses, very nice drawings to color.

Good paper quality. I used it with my Stabilo Point 88 Marker Pen Set and had no bleed through. I'm excited to complete the pages of this book. They are beautifully drawn and even have some bookmarks and gift tags I can color and give out as/with gifts.

This is a lovely Scriptural based coloring book from Christian Art Publishers. There are 55 pages of full designs as well as 7 pages of bookmarks, cards, and gift tags. All of the full designs in the book (as well as most of the extras) include a verse from The Psalms. The translations used are a variety: The Holy Bible NIV, the Holy Bible New Living Translation, the New King James Version and The Holy Bible English Standard Version. The Scripture is beautifully integrated into the lovely designs so that, while the words speak to the heart, the colorist can enjoy the beautiful illustrations as well. I like the there is such a large variety of designs but with the grounding of a single book of the Bible. The Psalms are the book I turn to when I am most troubled. The problems the Psalmist struggled with and the words he speaks to God usually find an echo in the things that I am struggling with as well. Here is a brief overview of what I found in this coloring book: 62 Pages of Designs based on The Psalms Designs printed on one side of smooth, white, heavyweight perforated paper Glue Binding Most designs merge past perforations into the binding area Alcohol-based makers bleed through the page Water-based markers, India ink pens, and gel pens do not bleed through the page though gel pens require a longer than usual drying period Coloring pencils were mixed. I had good results with waxed-based soft lead pencils and hard lead pencils in general. Oil-based soft lead pencils laid down good color but did not blend well. Hard lead pencils did not dent the back of the page. I'm so pleased with the beautiful Scripture-based coloring books that I have found recently and am thankful to have found this one as well.

Once my niece cracked it open and my mother caught a glimpse of all the little sayings and intricate designs, she quickly took it back and fell in love with it. Although I like the Bible verses I am going to look for one that doesn't require so much detail coloring.

Very beautiful illustrations. Easy to color and not too elaborate so it doesn’t give me migraines straining to see but still elaborate enough to be fun, interesting, & sophisticated.

What a beautiful coloring book for young adults and adults. The cover is gorgeous and the pages are beautifully creative using the most joyful parts of some of the psalms. I had never thought of this as an adult activity until a friend said she was doing it. It brings me back to the peace and joy that only God can give.

I gave this book as a gift to three other people and they were all very pleased! I have only found time to color one Psalm , but it was fun, and relaxing and I look forward to coloring more. The Coloring pages are very lovely, and will be even more so when filled in with colors! If you really liked to color as a kid, or have never colored before, it is a very nice relaxing way to create art. One of the recipients of the coloring book said "Now I can send my grandchildren something to hang on their refrigerators!" So true!
