Good detail and great practice questions

I absolutely love these books. I used The Princeton Review for all my AP exams and got 5's so I went ahead and got these to study for the MCAT. They truly never miss with their content. The questions are completely different from that of the AP books which is great because it shows the books are completely rewritten. The questions are very consistent with that of the exam in that they do not focus on memorization but rather have the reader think and problem solve. Two of the books are for the 2nd edition but it doesn't matter to me as I haven't seen any errors in the book yet. The pages are also thick so pens, pencils, and highlighters do not bleed through. The online exams are also great and you can take them as many times as you wish. As with all exams, always look into a secondary source of studying. It's impossible to cover all aspects of an 8 hour exam, but definitely use these books as your main source.

In Depth and Beutiful

What more could you ask for, really? You're studying for the MCAT and you want one simple thing; a resource that will have (nearly) all the necessary information, practice questions along the way, and wonderful illustrations to help with difficult concepts. Free practice exams are just a bonus. This is that, plain and simple. Yes, the Kaplan books are good too, but not my cup of tea. I much prefer the way that PR phases their information, and find it more palatable. Some disagree, and that's ok. The Princeton review tests are hard, don't get me wrong, but well worth the struggle. I have seen my practice test scores increase as I use the books more and more. Ultimately, to those of you just getting started on this journey, I humbly offer some advice; just make a decision and stick with it. No one resource is intrinsically better than the rest, and none will guarantee a better score. The best resource is one that you can and will use, is easy to get through, and offers a way to both track progress and identify weak points. This will help you accomplish these goals, I guarantee it. Consistent effort with this, or any other content review, will be your best chance of success. Good luck, and congrats on making it this far!

Found a Way to Attack the MCAT!

So I first purchased the Kaplan review set. It was okay I liked that it seemed more like workbooks but it did not include the 3 practice tests. Also the Kaplan set, how the books were written did not seem personable like almost bland. Which was a bummer. So I later bought the Princeton set because of the practice test and I actually enjoyed reviewing the material. I started with Psychology since it’s my strength. The writing style was relatable. I felt like I had been stressing because I didn’t have a game plan on how much time I was going to put into studying. However, after about ten pages in I realized OMG this is doable. The book tells you what you need to focus on and how to attack the MCAT. It goes as far as to mention considering how your going to fuel your brain to increase your test taking stamina. To test out foods prior to the test so you will know exactly how your going to feel on test day. I will say the material in the books are not entry level. I just took Chemistry and the material was not in the book. I asked my teacher he said you re building a foundation so just keep that in mind if you think you re going to learn everything from ground up.

A lot of information for test prep

This book has some errors like on page 39. The problem that says : How many molecules of hydrazine, N2H4 are in a sample with a mass of 96 grams? This book says the answer is 3 moles that is not the answer.

MCAT Study Material

I used this to study for the MCAT. The format is set up so you read the information like a textbook, but there are questions throughout the text and a quiz section at the end to let you answer practice questions about the content you just reviewed. It also comes with three online practice tests, which I thought were very helpful for learning how to take the test and the format to expect.

Comprehensive

I had previously bought the 2016 7 subject Kaplan MCAT review and I can say for certain that I prefer the Princeton review. I just started the physics section and it has a lot more examples, thorough explanations, and is overall more comprehensive and easier to digest the information.

We were surprised © 2015 on one book. Material not updated.

It's 2022 and the material in at least one volume is © 2015, which is really old and not updated.

Mcat como nuevo

Mi orden llegó días más tardes a causa del covid-19 . Pero el paquete llegó nuevo . Gracias!

Content great, book condition not great

The books are good, useful, I recommend them however the condition of the press was good but not as expected for a new version. Maybe I was unlucky but my books where slightly damaged and seemed kind of wet.

Mediocre for the price.

The book set as a whole is mediocre and not very well written. It's okay as far as refresher material goes. There are typos and errors in the books that honestly confound me as to how this made it past the 1st edition. Definitely overpriced and should not be your only source to prep or practice for the MCAT.

Yes, the Biology and CARS books are 2nd edition

All books came new in shrink wrap as expected. But, the Biology and CARS book were 2nd edition, not 3rd edition. EDIT*** Apparently in the 3rd Edition set TPR decided not to change anything from the Biology and CARS books from the 2nd edition. After some research on google I figured this out, you're welcome.

Sold as New but received Used

Item was clearly repackaged and listed as NEW product but I found pencil marks. I know its not mine, my handwriting is terrible.

good buy

Excellent content review with challenging mcat questions at the end of chapters. Only concern is that some of the questions are too difficult and sometimes require additional information that was not covered in the corresponding chapter.

Thank you

I bought these from a suggestion made ny a ore med student on Youtube, so far very difficult like she said, but hoping for good reason.

Great study aids!

As advertised. Received promptly.

Good for the money

They’re going to help tremendously!

Great purchase

My son was appreciative to receive these books. Hopefully they will be of good help to prepare him for the MCAT’s.

Fraudulent?

Two of the 7 books were 2nd edition books…

Excellent

Excellent

Books

Book was use , not new . Cover box was broken .

Torn book box

The box of the books was torn, so obviously the box was opened before.

KAPLAN, not PR

no one uses princeton review anymore, this company doesn’t know the MCAT very well at all. Use Kaplan for content review, Altria for practice exams, berkley review for passages, and UWORLD MCAT. UWORLD UWORLD UWORLD

Outdated

Books are 3rd edition except that the most tested subject on the mcat - biology is unfortunately 2nd edition ! This was not mentioned in the listing !!

Not 3rd edition! Its 2nd edition

They are 2nd edition! In the description it says third edition! Not as described! Scam artists

Book came marked up

Bought this as a "new" set. Came with pages marked up and written on. Would not recommend

As described online

Excellent condition!
