Beautiful cover & wonderful recipes!

I cannot wait to use this cookbook! I love her show and her recipes are always easy to make. The cover is pretty but is paper so be careful where you place it at.

Easy to follow recipes

Love this cookbook. The recipes are easy to follow and the picture with each direction is great All cookbooks should have this layout.

Exactly as presented, clean copy- sent quickly.

I've looked for a copy of this early Pioneer Woman cookbook, finally just decided to order it. Priced right and full of tasty and practical recipes, I've added it to my favorites.

So colorful and so well written!!

Loved the way the recipes are written and pictures of the family! Also the photography was stunning! Have tried several and they are all hits!!

Very easy to follow

I haven’t used this book a ton yet but, when I do I love it! The steps are easy to follow and the pictures are a big plus. However, I do find that the recipes are pretty bland and need a lot more spice in my opinion but nothing I couldn’t fix myself. I look forward to using this book more.

Delicious, easy to follow, lots of photos!

My family loves these recipes. There s no calorie, carb counting here!!

The pioneer woman cooks again!

This is the 3rd cookbook from Ree Drummond and it encompasses her usual enthusiasm. What some might not like is that the recipes have already been published on her blog. It would have been nice to have more new recipes in here that she could have presented on her show in the future; but the book is a good place to have them organized in and easy to find. There are 2 indexes. One section has them divided into recipes for everyone such as, kid-friendly, cow-girl friendly, fancy friends, neighbors in need and then there is an index by main ingredient Recipes include; breakfast for dinner, salad for dinner, soup for dinner, freezer food, 16-minute meals, pasta, comfort classics, new favorites, veggie sides, starchy sides, quick desserts. Ree does use some shortcuts, not everything is prepared from ‘scratch’, but then she will tell how to make your own pico de gallo, caramel sauce, cheese biscuits or refrigerator rolls. There are photos of the recipes and also the step by step instructions. She also includes photographs of her family, friends and the ranch. The pages are colourful and she tells a bit about each recipe and prep tips, also how to stock up the fridge, pantry and freezer. Many recipes have make ahead and variations. The salad section is wonderful, the dessert section is simple. It has no pies or cakes. None of the recipes are that complicated. Many recipes do have a southwestern flavor and use hot sauce or peppers, but if you do not like them, they can be left out or not as much put in. We have prepared and enjoyed sesame chicken salad, buffalo chicken salad, lasagna roll-ups, skillet lasagna, and polo asado – among others that we already fixed from her blog. This would make a wonderful gift for beginning cooks and anyone who likes good simple food that many times is a bit different than the run of the mill comfort food.

Perfect Book for Busy Families with Gorgeous Step By Step Photos and a Variety of Recipes

This cookbook focuses on dinnertime meals. Well organized and filled with recipes for a wide variety of tastes, this book is good for cooks at any level. This book is simply beautiful. Filled with colorful and informative photos (there is a picture for every recipe), this book not only is great to look at but also gives good information for those of us who are competent but not particularly instinctive when it comes to cooking. I especially like the step by step photos so that I can get an idea of what the dish should look at while I am cooking it instead of just hoping it turns out like the finished product. This book is organized by type of meal. With categories such as comfort food, soup for dinner, salad for dinner, breakfast for dinner, the book gives the reader a sense of the different possibilities for meals. There is also several sections on different types of side dishes and even desserts so readers can mix and match main dishes with the sides and desserts they like to make a complete meal. I was especially pleased with the section on freezer meals. While basic and certainly not an attempt to be a treatise on the subject, this section gives readers the opportunity to prepare staples to keep frozen and then provides several different ways that those frozen staples can be used to make different meals. For example, the book provides a recipe for meatballs that can be frozen and then gives recipes for their use in sweet and sour meatballs, Swedish meatballs, etc. This section and the section on quick preparation meals are especially good for busy people who don't have hours to spend in the kitchen to prepare a dinner. This book also has a great variety of recipes. There are recipes that are basic (especially good for picky eaters), meat and potatoes type recipes and then also recipes for more adventurous eaters. I appreciated the variety of recipes because nothing annoys me more than cooking books that are only for gourmet eaters. Although titled Dinnertime, this book has such a great variety of recipes that they can be used all day long.

Awesome Customer Service

When I received my "new" book the dust jacket was torn. When I contacted Amazon they immediately rushed out a replacement the following day. Contact was on a Thursday and by Saturday my new book was waiting in the mail. Enjoying the recipes and Ree's anecdotes and awesome photos in this book.

* I want to be just like her.

I'm a die hard Ree fan. I have every cookbook she's published. They are every one total works of art. Her recipes are meticulously explained with photos. Her instructions are always seasoned with a sense of humor and fun. I've never made anything that didn't turn out exactly like her's looked in the pictures. The ingredients are usually pretty easy to find and budget friendly. Her recipes are crowd favorites - my husband, son-in-law, kids, and grandkids gobble them up. Some cool features of this book are the chapters on "Breakfast for Dinner," "Salad for Dinner," "Soup for Dinner," and "Freezer for dinner," where she goes into detail about the benefits of freezer food, lists Supplies that you'll need, coaches you on "packin' it for success," and then lists her favorite things to freeze, like Meatballs (first making them and then recipes for several things you can make with them), Grilled Chicken (ditto making them and using them), Chili Packets (ditto making them, ways of using them), and then there are a few casseroles to finish it out that she points out are awesome for when unexpected company drops by, or a friend gets sick and you can take a meal to her family (in all your wonderful thoughtfulnes), and she also gives the instructions for exactly how to reheat these frozen dishes. There are also individual chapters for 16-minutes Meals, Pasta Pronto, Comfort Classics, and New Favorites, plus veggie sides, and starchy sides, and also Quick Desserts. Hint, hint, this cookbook is for the super busy woman who needs dinner to be quick and easy to prepare. If you know Ree, you know her cookbooks are a cookbook readers dream, every page is like a colorful scrapbook of food and family. It's a real page-turner!!!! And look how big her kids are getting (and beautiful)!!!

My Favorite of PW Cookbooks

I have all of Ree’s cookbooks. This is my fav. Lots of Family Friendly recipes. Lots of comfort food. Some of our fav’s: Hamburger Soup, (Broc) with Cheese Sauce (the sauce is good with just about everything!), Quick Shells and Cheese, Italian Meatloaf, Broc Cauli Casserole, Chicken Marsala, about all of the Pasta Dishes….

Fantastic! Delicious! Quick and Easy! Great for teens to learn with, too!

Fantastic! If you love Ree’s show, you’ll love the book! This one is comfort food with a twist. I love The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl for straight comfort food. Ree’s books have photos of both the finished dish and photos of the process making the dish, which makes her books terrific to empower teenagers to get going independently, and feel really proud bringing those yummy dishes to smiling people at the table. Totally recommend! Pictured below: 1) Huevos Rancheros – p6, with Enchilada Sauce – p8, and Pico De Gallo – p23. Delicious breakfast! Everyone loved it! The enchilada sauce makes 3 cups, but this recipe only uses 1 to serve 4 people, so you have 2 cups left for another recipe. She lists suggestions of other recipes to try it in right on that page. 2-3) Individual Chicken Pot Pies – p138. Yum! It was hard not to lick the plates! These are in her freezer chapter. She has you make them in those cute little disposable tins if you’re going to freeze them. We were eating ours right away, so I made them in our au gratin dishes, which made them look like little footballs. I think this has potential as a Super Bowl dinner. Maybe cut the vents to look like the lacing on the football. :) 4) Beef with Snow Peas – p163. Awesome and ridiculously easy! She gives some variations. One is to add a red bell pepper, and my husband had just brought one in from the garden, so that went in, too. 5) Chicken Taco Salad - p53. Great salad! We all loved this! I am embarrassed to say that I was wondering what sort of bowls Ree had that these 4 servings could fit in. It was supposed to be 8 servings! 😳 Um. The 4 of us finished it. 6) Mexican Tortilla Casserole - p130. Delicious! It's a make ahead and just needs 40 minutes in the oven when you're ready. 7) Hawaiian Burgers - p152 and Sweet Potato Fries - p308. That is a *fantastic* burger!!! So much flavor! Everyone loved it! I can’t wait to try the rest of the book!

Lots of inspiration, even for veg folks

I'm eating vegetarian these years, but her cookbooks... maybe it's the pull with the warm family stuff, or the "comfort food" aspect, but while I tear apart used cookbooks by some of the current cooking greats (Ina Loves Jeffrey Who Loves Ina - how beautiful is THAT wonderful relationship in today's America?!) to keep a few recipes in a binder - OK, 1 1/2" binder(s) - OK, nine 1 1/2" binders and need to buy a tenth because it's more than a few recipes, but my house is too tiny for 100 cookbooks - I'm keeping this woman's books whole! WHA??? I can always sub in veggie 'meat-like" (THANK you, non-soy veggie companies!) or just ignore the meat portion of the recipes. (It's not the owning of meat animals, it's the tortured agony America thinks is so nice and cheap that is the killing and processing this country allows, in case you weren't forced to watch those college videos.) (Oh, my husband used to be a on-horseback cowboy for a large cattle ranch... poor guy spent years eating tofu with me, but got his steak on his birthday.) Lots of inspiration from the well-thought-out recipe presentations, and though I get annoyed by real estate agents and dentists sticking their fat faces into every ad and sign, I really find her family photos pleasant. (WHA??? I KNOW! What's with this posting person???) Somehow, it all just fits together - I really don't think she's bragging; it seems like she's sharing! T'would be wonderful if she did create a vegetarian cookbook since she was one at one point in her life. It doesn't have to be "anti-" - just fun without the meat!

Where has this been all of my stepmother life?!

Firstly, I LOVE that she gives lists. I struggle when trying to decide what foods to bring or make and she literally has a list of which recipes to use for an occasion. Secondly, she is REAL. Like gives tid bits to say “this is great to have on the ready if your kids have an unexpected slumber party”. Ding ding ding - you got my attention now, Ree! Can’t wait to make more recipes. Such a great buy :)

I expected "beh" I got "WOW"! Surprisingly good book

Beautiful photos, which is a must for my cooking books. I cannot cook unless I have a visual of the end result. This book has plenty of images, including of the preparation steps, and not only of the recipes (not that I need to know what this woman's family or farm look like... but, since she wants to share, that's ok too). Most important, the recipes are very clearly explained and are extremely doable. Nothing fancy. It's a recipe book for "family cooking": I am vegetarian so I have access only to some and not all of the recipes: everything I tried so far came out perfect, no need to make my own "edits" or adjustments, it all worked out very well. I also love that the author (who, my husband just told me, is very famous... I never heard of her, sorry) provides little practical asides with alternatives in case one is missing an ingredient and doesn't feel like riding to the supermarket. I am not American: therefore I love that the author is giving me a chance to learn some "real Americana" stuff, which I usually get to taste only in restaurants and diners. EASY TO USE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND, BEAUTIFULLY ILLUSTRATED, GREAT PRINT QUALITY, REASONABLY PRICED, INTERESTING RECIPES EXPLAINED INTELLIGENTLY ENOUGH TO BE REPRODUCED WITHOUT PROBLEMS. p.s.: Like ALL recipe books published in America, however, this one too has poorly thought-out indexes. But that's the fault of editors and publishing houses.

BEST gift ever says my son!!!

This is one awesome cookbook! I bought it for my son who loves to cook and after looking at the style, pictures and awesome recipes I will be buying one of her cookbooks for myself!

Helped me out with my stress!

So I have been a stay at home mom for 15 years, and I have been working full time now for 5 months. When I was a stay at home mom, I did everything that needed to be done at home. (cook, bake, take care of kids, grocery shopping, etc) Now that I'm working, I don't want my family eating the crap from fast food or pre made food from the stores (too many add ins that aren't good for you). So I bought this book thinking, what a great idea! At first I was overwhelmed with the ingredients I needed to buy. You know what? Ree Drummond does an awesome job with having the ingredients being able to be used in another recipe. She also helps out with recipes you can make ahead, ones you can make big batches of and freeze, and dinners that don't take forever to make. She also helps with things you should always have on hand. I love this book, and I am so glad I bought it. I have bought cook books before (none of hers) and was disappointed because the ingredients were either too expensive or there was only a couple of recipes that my family would actually eat. My family has loved all of the recipes we have tried so far. It has helped me out a lot with my stress as well. Thank you so much for making this book Ree. I love your show too. Nothing better than a country way of life.

beautiful book

In my opinion book had too many how to do steps, I think most pix showed how to do/that seem to be no brainers. Love her show and written down many of her recipes. But Those on show seemed a little more interesting and different where as book had some pretty common recipes. Perhaps a little less family pix which would make more room for more recipes. I loved how she showed to put together goody baskets for her girls either working or going to school in other parts of country ON HER SHOW it is still a great book especially for beginners.

Pioneer Woman Cookbook

Love the cookbook. Good recipes and easy to follow. Pictures are great!

My Husband

My Christmas present were all of Ree Drummond's cook books, my husband did great. We both enjoy watching Ree cook Joy

Colorful Humor & Photographs, Exceptional Recipes

This is my favorite cookbook! I actually checked it out online from my local library first but I loved it so much that I bought it, which should tell you how good it is. I've made at least half a dozen recipes from the cookbook already and everything has been delicious (with the exception of the vodka pasta, but that could have been something wrong on my part). One of the best features of the cookbook are the step-by-step color photographs that accompany each recipe. It really helps you to feel confident that you're doing everything right. The recipes aren't complicated though. I also love how Ree talks to the reader the whole time; it's like you're in the kitchen with her cooking together. She shares stories and pictures of her family but it's her sense of humor that really connects her with the reader and made this cookbook feel so special. Her section on cooking large batches of food that can be frozen and used in multiple recipes is especially helpful no matter what size your family is. I had knee surgery last week and before I went in I used her freezer meal chapter to make three casseroles in disposable foil pans that can be pulled out and baked as needed, as well as two chicken pot pies that are ready to be baked. I've told all of my friends about this cookbook and I cannot recommend it enough.

Great cookbook!

Really good recipes and easy to follow!

Definitely worth the purchase, if you need good practical family recipes......

I first have to say that I am NOT a person who necessarily enjoys cooking or finds it easy to do. This is mainly because I work at a demanding job where 50 hours per week is the norm. I bought this book over the holidays after seeing Ree on TV. I have found this book very well written and illustrated. Most cook books are pretty boring and all about the same. This one is different - it's almost like her show. She talks you through the recipes like she would in real life, with pictures to illustrate. As a novice cooker, but somewhat older person, I sometimes don't know certain cooking terms.....but if she says to make a slurry with the liquid and cornstarch, she illustrates what that means.....this allows the user not to constantly look up terms. If you are experienced, you can just follow the pictures that illustrate the steps. I have made 3 recipes out of the book, and all have been very good. She has several recipes that you freeze and have ready to go during the work week, like the meatballs. I have NEVER written a review prior to this one, and NEVER considered raving about a cookbook....this one is worth it if you are looking for good practical family recipes.

Fun and easy to learn the basics!

This is a great cookbook for beginners or someone who like seeing a picture of each recipe with great step by step instructions. It is a lot like reading a cooking blog recipe but doesn’t tie you down to your phone or computer (also doesn’t “go dark” if you can’t tap the screen!!) Most of the recipes are fairly kid friendly and also something my husband enjoys. Win win. Be aware that there is no prep time given per recipe so it kind of a learn as you go and take notes on them as you make them. I love how in the first part of the book she lists what she considers pantry/ refrigerator/ etc basics to have on hand. Also a great section on freezer meals/ food to pre-make and freeze. Very helpful for busy nights! I look forward to checking out her other cookbooks!

Dinner time made easy.

Great recipes!

This one may be the best and ive only had time to thumb through it

I have every one of her cookbooks. This one may be the best and ive only had time to thumb through it. But I already plan on buying another for a christmas gift. As some say, you may be able to find most of these recipes on her blog. I havent checked. But do I want to write down Ingredients and directions then take to kitchen to follow or do I want to open a cookbook on the counter and be able to see steps. I will choose having the book in front of me. Otherwise I have to have my computer on counter and risk getting it wet or messy. I can also open up a cookbook and tell by how stained the page is if we liked the recipe. I do have a folder of favorite printed out recipes. But I love reading cookbooks and Ree's make for some of the best reading. So I hope she continues putting out great book for those of us who love an actual cookbook. This one I would give more than five stars. So if you are looking for recipes that have normal ingredients, pictures of the final dish plus picutres of each step. If you want a little bit of story dished up along with the food, then this is the cookbook you want to get.

I love them! I actually received her first cookbook at ...

I have every one of pioneer woman's cookbooks, I love them! I actually received her first cookbook at my wedding shower. (5 years ago) I was so happy because i stumbled upon her blog before i was married. A lot of the "critical" reviews have been that they are too basic and its everything on her blog.. Sorry guys, but i hate having to get on my computer every time i want a recipe from her, so a book works great for me. I love in this book how she has great ideas for freezer meals and then recipes for them following, LOVE THAT! I hate thinking too much of what i am going to make. So prepping and then having a recipe to follow is great! I also love her list of things she keeps stocked in her house. Its so very helpful since i have two little ones and wal-mart is such a mad house its nice to have a decent list of what to have. I love this book for her ideas of how she does her meals which is so helpful, i love the recipes but truly i think her first book is my fave.. (its actually falling apart, haha.) Still, i would buy nonetheless, because it is pioneer woman!! I love her, butter and all ;)

Surprisingly Useful Cookbook - Wide Variety of Recipes!

I am editing my review to five stars because since I have purchased I have tried four more of the recipes and was very impressed. There are step by step photos of each recipe - and they are very helpful to assure success with the recipe. For example I am not sure I would have cooked a meal titled "meat and potato scramble" because it sounds creamy fattening. But with this recipe and many others I was pleasantly surprised that there are no short cuts (ie cans of soup) in this cookbook. These are fresh ingredients and clean recipes. Some recipes are absolute surprises: there is a recipe for a chili rellenos casserole that illustrates the peppers cut open and layered like a lasagna that was quick to prepare, and to die for. I am going to use it in my party rotation this summer. There are also a good deal of vegetarian recipes! Cauliflower stir fry (which to me has a mouth feel of rice but much lower in carbs), and tofu lettuce wraps. The salads are filling: kale citrus salad, Asian etc. Cashew chicken better than takeout. Savory - not greasy and can e made with ingredients on hand.

Some of us just like holding a book of lovely recipes in our hands

It's irritating when someone submits a negative review because a cookbook sets forth recipes that are on the author's blog. For those of us cooks who do NOT follow blogs (and there are many, MANY of us), this is disingenuous. Think about it: We watch these cooks prepare these meals on their programs and those recipes are also available online, as well as on their blogs. The purpose of the cookbook is tactile: Some of us just like holding a book of lovely recipes in our hands, flipping the pages and attaching sticky notes all over it.. Well, I've flipped the pages of this book and I give it five stars. It's probably her best book, and I have all the others. Anyway, I am off to prepare her Beef Stroganoff With Buttered Noodles. Scrumptious! Thanks, Ree, for another winner of a cookbook.

This will make my life easier!

Love the photos and the easy to follow recipes. Her tips are so on point. I found myself thinking, “Why didn’t I think of that?”

Perfect for a novice cook!

I love Ree! Her blogs, her stories and everything about her! This cookbook is full of wonderful recipes for a new cook. Perfect for a young couple or a college student just starting out.

Book arrived with the cover torn ☹️😡

Disappointed that the outside cover is torn but I’m excited to try some of the recipes. They look easy and the ingredient list isn’t crazy which makes it less complicated and quick.

Love the book

Will buy more of her books

The cookbook that inspired a tired, busy parent to cook again

This cookbook was a game changer for me. Now, I make great home cooked meals for my family because the recipes are yummy, worth my effort (and dishes), and easy for me to follow. Each step of the way in EACH recipe has a picture of what the step looks like... each step! I love it. It's easy to pick up where I left off, and I feel confident every step of the way. I'm a mom of three kids, I eat gluten free and these recipes have been easy to make substitutions. Each recipe has variation suggestions, and sides suggestions. No creativity on my part needed! I've purchased cookbooks but never cooked more than a recipe or two from them. But this book I cook from almost everyday. This has made our family meals possible! I am now collecting all of her books, and I highly recommend them.

So helpful!!

This cookbook gave me so many ideas. I realized I was in a rut when it came to cooking. This was so helpful and I no longer dread meal times!!

"Can't miss" recipes ... and the adorableness of Pioneer Woman and her fun family

Everything is clearly pictured and explained, everything looks amazing (and everything that I have tried so far has been very good), and it's fun to see the pictures of family life on the ranch that are sprinkled throughout. I like to give this to brides, and I LOVE having it on my shelf.

Great for newbies to cooking or those that are intimidated to try new recipies- better than online recipies!

I've used a lot of cookbooks over the years and this one is one of the best! Not just because the recipes are good (I've already tried a few and I just bought it) but because each recipe is equipped with pictures of each stage of prep during the cooking process. I'm an experienced cook and enjoy it, but sometimes new recipes can be intimidating to try. Yes, you can get online recipes, but I've tried enough that were huge fails or not explained well that I am beginning to appreciate legitimate cookbooks again. This cookbook would also be great for someone new to cooking like a newlywed or someone living on their own for the first time. It's a beautiful book, quite large, with lots of recipes and tips on how to make prep, shopping, etc. easier. I have small children/baby at home and time is of the essence. This cookbook helps consolidate things from your grocery list to the final product on your dinner table. I've already bought two more to give as gifts!!!

Wife loves this book

Great book with different recipes

Great book with easy to follow instructions and pictures!

Purchased this for my wife as a Christmas present. Ree's recipes are wonderful and with the many pictures and explanations, are easy to follow. The book is almost like a story for each recipe and is fascinating reading. Although my wife is an expert cook, she loves the many foods that Ree makes and has cooked many of the recipes in this book. Her instructions are so well written, that I can follow them to make a dinner for my wife and I am not a good cook. Her recipes use what a good cook would have in the kitchen and nothing that's exotic or expensive to purchase. A beginner cook would love this book, and even someone that has cooked for years will get pleasure from the many dinners that are presented on the pages. Ree is an excellent photographer and the pictures make the book even better as you know how each step should look like and then the end results. If you can match the end product, you know you did it right. And you also know you just made a excellent meal!!!

Not worth it.

I've seen better recipes online for free. Her recipes are totally boring, nothing innovative. Prefer to browse Instagram than making stuff from this book. Her "the bread" recipe is an insult: cut the bread horizontally in half, smeer one whole stick of butter, broil it. Come on woman !!! @recipetin on insta is 100 % better than this book.

excellent cookbook

wonderful recipes

Great photos for every recipe!

I had never watched one of her shows or heard of her prior to purchasing this cookbook. I was in a bookstore waiting for a family member to use the restroom when I saw this cookbook. I flipped through it and loved how it looked. I didn't want to pay bookstore prices, so I found it on Amazon for over $12 cheaper! I like to see what my food will look like, so I love how this cookbook gives you pictures for EVERY recipe. Most cookbooks give you a few pictures here and there, but have many recipes without pictures. Not only do you get a picture with every recipe, but step by step pictures to help you with the preparation. And many of these recipes look delicious! I am now going to look into her other cookbooks. I didn't even know she had a show until after I purchased the book and my daughter started telling me about the show.

Meal planning made easy!!

Lots of wonderful save timing ideas! Beautiful pictures and detailed recipes for complete success on preparing dinners!! Lots of time saving ideas as well!!

Seller 5/5 , Book 3/5

If your wondering about the buyer and shipping and condition of product- 5 stars. If your wondering about the cookbook itself, most all the the recepies in it do not contain every day ingredients. Some of them I haven't been able to even find at hyvee, aldi or walmart. I'd give the food a 3 star too. I don't know. The food just isn't all I thought it was cracked up to be. At the same time I am just a regular Jane Doe and not a food tasting expert, lol. I'm a fan of the pioneer woman and am disappointed to have to say that. But comming from just a regular person with regular ingredient availability, and a regular busget..... I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars.

This lady is my new kitchen Idol, the pictures are amazing, the food is amazing and the book is beautiful!

I ordered this book because I fell in love with The Pioneer Woman cookware. Seriously the stuff is amazing but back to the book. This is not your ordinary boring cookbook. There are a ton of pictures of her life on her ranch and of her family and animals with funny captions. The recipes are really easy to follow even if you have no cooking experience. There are step by step pictures and instructions for everything. I also love that there are suggestions for other recipes that will go good with a recipe. I have tried many of them and have not been disappointed once. My husband and my kids love the meals as well. Dishes that I would think would be complicated are broken down so they are easy to follow. My personal favorite is the Salisbury steak and gravy recipe. I seriously love this book and definitely recommend getting it. I am already looking to get one of the other Pioneer Woman cookbooks.

An excellent cookbook

Like all of the cookbooks in the Pioneer Woman series, this one has stunning photos of every recipe at every stage, in addition to excellent commentary and little anecdotes of family life for which Ree is so well known. I purchased this cookbook for my niece, who is a busy working mom, and she was delighted. For that reason, I have not tried any of the recipes myself, but the photos looked great, and I am sure all the recipes are repeatedly "field-tested." I would not hesitate to purchase this cookbook for anyone who likes good, down-home cooking and would appreciate knowing what "beat eggs until lemon-colored" and other common directions in recipes really mean. Even experienced cooks will appreciate the great photos and step by step explanations. Highly recommended.

great

love all of the ideas

It's amazing how many new tasty recipes are in this book.

New recipes!

Great for beginners, too!

I love this cookbook! It’s got some helpful tips for pantry essentials and general food prep in the beginning, and then it launches into recipes sorted by type-Breakfast for Dinner, Salad for Dinner, 16-Minute Meals, etc. Each recipe is broken down into individual steps with a lot of pictures, which I loved. This is really a great cookbook for a beginner like me! Even the more complicated recipes are simplified due to the author’s clear instructions and detailed pictures. She also gives ideas for what to pair each dish with so you can put together a complete meal. So far, we’ve tried The Bread (seriously the easiest thing in the world and my family wants to eat it every night), Beef Stroganoff (fantastic), Black Bean Soup (also fantastic), and several of the sides. Every recipe has turned out great.

Beautiful cookbook!

This is a must have for simple, family oriented meals. Step by step photos and instructions on EVERY recipe with beautiful photos of the Pioneer Woman's lifestyle. So appreciate this book and the recipes are to die for. My family appreciates these yummy recipes! Highly recommend

Another great cookbook by ree drummond

Another stellar cookbook by ree Drummond. As a fan of this great cook, I am never let down By the amount of effort put into her work.

Good Basic Cookbook

I love the colors, layout, and pictures that go along with each step. For whatever reason, this book didn't seem like it has the same smooth flow as A Year of Holidays (my FAVORITE)- but I can't put my finger on why. Also, in the middle of my copy, the binding was poorly stitched- (pages 178-198), so I'm hoping that section doesn't just fall out. While it is easy enough to swap out some of the ingredients for healthier options (sorry heavy cream), I still wish nutritional information was provided for each recipe. I cook for family members with Type 1 diabetes - carb counts are important in maintaining control. That being said, it's a good basic cookbook and would make a nice gift for people just starting out on their own (easy enough to adjust quantities of ingredients to cook for two) and for families who prefer to make their own meals.

Agood cooking book

a good cooking book

Great Family Recipes for all to love!

I have her first Cook Book and this one provides MANY more additionally wonderful recipes to share with friends and family. I mean, this book is THICK and FULL with great ideas that are healthy and some that are well.......indulgent. :) From her "Stocking Up" suggestions to her "Dessert Panini" and beyond, you literally feel like you are her kitchen counter cooking with her and then eating with her family and friends. I know that with large families, the freezing option is a MUST to keep sane and I wish I had some of these suggestions when my children were young (yes, they are old enough to have their own children now). I made the other night, her "Lasagna Roll-Ups" and the family devoured them. They were so good. This book is so great, I'll be ordering 2 more for gifts and the other Cook Books that she has available.

Wonderful!

I’m really happy with the recipes in this cookbook.

I love the Pioneer Woman

Yes the recipes in this book are great but what I really like about Ree's cook books is that she takes pictures of each step of the recipe. I have 3 of her cookbooks now and enjoy using all of them. We went to Pawhuska, OK this past fall to visit her Mercantile. What a great place. It was so much fun. Wasn't able to go to the ranch because they were filming, but we'll leave that for next time.

Great recipes, but WAY too many photos!

This cookbook has some great recipes that are easy to follow, but she includes a LOT of photos of her kids and her husband - I mean, a LOT. Way too many for me, anyhow, would like it better if she concentrated more on the food and less on making it a family album.

An absolute MUST-HAVE!!!!!

This is easily my favorite cookbook of all time (and I have a lot of cookbooks)!!!! First of all, every recipe looks amazing and I can't wait to try them all!!! Secondly, this cookbook is beautiful all the way through. You not only get a picture of every completed dish, but a picture for every step as well!!! True story!!! Thirdly, the edges of every section are color-coded. Even before you open the book, you know what section to jump to quickly (as soon as you figure out these sections 😉). And then there's my favorite section....Freezer Food (orange)! Not only is this section ideal for our family, but she has included the freezer instructions AND the re-heating instructions = zero guess work!!!! My husband got me this cookbook for Christmas and I'm thrilled with it! It's my first Ree Drummond cookbook and I can't wait to get the rest!!!! Loooooove!!!!!

Wife loves it

Wife has all The Pioneer Woman cook books and loves them.

Good cookbook

Enjoying it very much.

Ree Hits it Out of the Park Again!

I have all of Ree Drummond's cookbooks and I love them all. This cookbook hits it out of the park again! She is such a genuine person and has such a love for her family and good cooking. Her recipes to me are comfort food. The pictures in her cookbook are wonderful of her family and the ranch where she lives in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. She has step by step pictures and directions for all her recipes and you just cant' mess them up. This one is about all the ways you can make dinner and with chapters on Soup for Supper, Salads, 16 minute Meals, and quick desserts, dinner will be a snap. One caution, you may have to cut down the recipe because most of them serve 6-12 people. But remember she has 4 kids, a hungry husband and ranch hands that she feeds on a regular basis.

Good Buy

Not as great of a variety as I was hoping, but still has some tasty recipes as always.

So many good recipes

I checked this book out of the library and realized it had a bunch of great recipes, so I bought it used on amazon. I have used it many, many times. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. It's a new kitchen favorite!

What a cookbook!

I Love love love this cookbook. LOVE it so much I can't stop looking at it since it came in the mail. It's just as entertaining as it is hunger provoking. I want to try every recipe. I probably will! What I love about this book: it is HUGE. I appreciate that it is filled with food my family would actually eat. There is nothing more annoying than buying a cookbook that has just a handful of recipes that we would even try. I love the pictures Ree added of her family and ranch as well. I thoroughly enjoy reading the stories and side notes and recipe headings. I love how colorful it is. The quality of the book is top notch. It is organized very well. I gave this cookbook 5 stars because I find absolutely nothing wrong with it. Like I said, I love it! It is obvious that Ree poured her heart and soul into creating this spectacular book. Thank you!

Gonna Be My Favorite Cookbook!!

Finally! A cookbook that has everything I was looking for. I must have 200 cookbooks and many more that I have given away over the years because of so many recipes that either the family was not crazy about or because I always had to make a trip to the store for different ingredients. After looking through this cookbook for a couple days, I can honestly say that this is gonna be my favorite cookbook. Every recipe looks fantastic and I have all the ingredients!! I made the Swedish Meatballs last night with rave reviews from the family. Great over mashed potatoes. This is a real keeper and valuable in the sense that you will be using most every recipe. I loved the freezer section and also the 16-Minute Meals, both great timesavers. Again, can't say enough about this cookbook.

Get set get ready lets start cooking !!!

I like the way things are laid out and I love that with the recipes she lists sides to go along with the meal ...well thought out !! Her instructions are clear and the pictures leave you NOT guessing what it is supposed to look like! Made Salisbury steak and stove top mash potatoes and English peas and rolls ... It was very good Her ingredients needed are most things your kitchen has ... Nothing exotic just down home cooking Can't wait to try more! Red you knocked this one out of the park!!; This is my first cookbook and glad I got it ! The pictures are like having a photo album ... Of the family and the pics of the foods she cooks are mouthwatering !!! Can't go wrong win the wide variety of meals easy to follow recipes .. It's a must for any foodie!!! Thank you Ree!!!

Love her books!

I swear every single recipe is one I plan to try and use! Easy to follow recipe and directions plus she includes pictures for every step of the recipe. It's fool proof! Delicious recipes!!

Beautiful and Delicious

I have made several recipes out of this cookbook. I have not found one I didn't like yet. PROS: Beautiful design and pictures. I actually think the cookbook looks better without the paper cover. It is a very pretty yellow underneath. There are hundreds of pictures! This makes it easier to follow along with the recipe. I love the section on meals you can make ahead of time and freeze. CONS: Sometimes her recipes read top to bottom, instead of left to right. It makes it a little confusing, so make sure you pay attention to what number step you are are. Depending on where you purchase the book, it may come with a few bonus recipes in the back. I'm not sure what all stores do this. My version from Amazon did not come with the bonus recipes.

great gift!

You can't go wrong with this.... if they already have it they can give it as a nice gift theirselves. The gift keeps on giving

Lots of recipes

This is a nice cookbook with all kinds of great recipes. I have not made anything out of it yet.

Llegó el paper del cover roto

Llegó roto y sucio

Great shape

I love this cookbook. Lots of recipies to try. I bought the book used and it's in great shape.

Worth every penny! Great cookbook!

Great cookbook with awesome recipes! This was given to my best friend as a gift (she loves The Pioneer Woman) and she loved it! I might need to order myself one as well after flipping through it before gifting 😉 Beautiful, colorful and full of great recipes. I definitely recommend.

Recipes look great but

The calorie counts in most of these recipes is a whole days worth of calories. I had to go online to find the information though.

we are a fast paced generation and we don't have time to waste. This book will give you time saving recipes ...

If you are always trying to figure out what's for supper and doesn't take long to make, than this is the book you will want. Face it, we are a fast paced generation and we don't have time to waste. This book will give you time saving recipes that makes your meals look and taste like you have spent hours making. We would all like to give our families home cooked meals seven days a week but with soccer practice, band practice and so on, lets be real. This book can help you get a meal cooked quickly, so maybe you can read that bed time story more often.

Extremely Satisfied!

I bought this as a gift, but wanted to keep it for myself. It is extremely high quality. The cookbook has pictures for each step of a recipe to make it easy to follow. The recipes are simple and something I feel anyone would be able to make. Photos from the ranch are a nice addition. I would definitely recommend this to someone who is looking to build their knowledge in the kitchen. She also provides variations and tips. For the freezer meals there are instructions on how to freeze and then reheat. Everything you need is in this book.

Good pictures in book.

Would buy again.

Favorite Cookbook - Hands Down

Love. Love. Love. The recipes in this book are not only delicious they are also easy and quick to prepare. I've been a fan of Ree's blog for years but this is my first cookbook purchase. I'm so glad I decided to get it. Beautiful pictures and step by step instructions (just like the blog). Many of the recipes call for Ingredients that you already have on hand. There are tons of tips on how to stock your pantry, save time while cooking (hello freezer meals), and Ree's beautiful personality shines through in the chapter intros and throughout the book. I dare say that this is my favorite cookbook out of all the others I have in my collection. Highly recommended.

Good cookbook

The book is written in a fun way with beautiful pictures of recipes and family photos on each page. I was pleasantly surprised to find a good amount of meatless recipes also. All of the ingredients are things most home cooks will have in their pantry and frig which is nice. I'm new to Ree's cooking and overall very happy with the cook book.

... one to finish for every single recipe-that is a SUPER PLUS- Great comfort food recipes

Pictures from step one to finish for every single recipe-that is a SUPER PLUS- Great comfort food recipes, storage and shopping tips. The other super plus is there are substitutes for those who do not cool with alcohol. Yes the alcohol "cooks off" but for families cooking for someone in recovery, even the latent taste of an alcoholic drink can be a trigger. (If I don't eat sugar, even a sugar free chocolate bar makes me crave a real one) Only reason this isn't five stars is because All these recipes are heavy meals and I am not inclined to make many of them in the spring or summer months when it is hot.

Missing one thing

This is the first real cookbook I've bought. Even for a novice like me, it's pretty easy to follow. I love the step by step pictures. They make it doable for someone who never learned to cook. It also has variations for each recipie and what it should he served with (along with page number for THAT side). My one complaint is that I wish it had cook time for each thing. I have to really read it through and figure out how long it will take to have an idea of when to start cooking. I'm so inexperienced that I really have NO idea how long things would normally take.

Useable

I love her cookbooks. Plan to get the rest of them

Great cookbook for fans of Ree!

I love her show and recipes and the book is great as well. The book is a little hokey but I still like it. It uses up a lot of pages with pictures that arent necessarily needed but thats her style. Either you like it or dont and just deal with it because you like the recipes. I do. Its great to just sit and read as well. I can see most of the recipes are things I would enjoy and like to cook because they arent hard to make with easy to find ingredients. I would recommend to a friend who isnt a high level cook or to someone who really loves Ree and her show.

Love this book!

I just received this book and flipped through it, cover to cover. I am an ok cook...my best meals are from the crockpot. Having said that, there are several recipes in this book that are easy and basic enough for me to start off with. There are a few that I have to work up the courage to try. In addition to the easy to read and follow recipes, the photos are lovely. Would make a great coffee table book as well. So glad I purchased this book.

Quick dinner inspiration

This book lives up to its title. It is full of practical recipes to get dinner on the table any night. Most recipes call for easy to come by ingredients and modifications and side dishes are suggested. The book is well organized. It is easy to find recipe inspiration from any section, whether you are looking for a quick meal or to stock the freeze. Some recipes are more blue prints for well known dishes, like a breakfast hash. Other recipes are more creative, like the cauliflower stir fry. This is a good book if you're looking for simple recipes for crowd pleading dinner dishes.

A gift for my daughter.

She loves cooking and loves the cookbook!

East Recipes

Great and easy-to-follow recipes.

... some of the recipes from book and they were great. Many times cookbooks have recipes that I would ...

I have already tried some of the recipes from book and they were great. Many times cookbooks have recipes that I would not use for my family or they use ingredients that I don't have or don't know what they are. I can use almost every recipe with the ingredients I have at home or I can adapt. The pictures are great of the step by step you do to make each one. She has put in many pictures from her farm and family with just adds more fun to read. When I first got the book, I sat down and read for about two hours, fully enjoying every minutes, seeing how much I would use recipe after recipe:)

Great cookbook for visual learners!

I'm a big fan of Ree's recipes. The cookbook has some yummy recipes such as sausage potato and kale soup similar to one served at Olive Garden restaurants. I can't wait to try that one. Also, I noticed in macaroni and cheese recipe she uses Velveeta processed cheese which is something I won't serve my family. Thankfully, I have my go-to recipe from another cookbook. This cookbook format is fantastic! I'm a decent cook, but I can appreciate seeing step-by-step instructions on prepping a tasty meal since I'm a visual learner. My husband is a complete novice in the kitchen, but he feels inspired to cook after looking through the book.

GREAT PHOTOS

My favorite part about this cook book is how many high quality photos there are. Also, this hard covered book is well bound and has a great index to help you find what you're looking for. It is a great cookbook for more visual people like myself. The steps are laid out in photos and are easy to follow. The recipes are DELICIOUS, easy, and fast. We loved the skillet lasagna but were a bit disappointed with the lack of desserts (which is why I am giving it a 4 of 5.) Overall, perfect for easy and yummy meals.

Meanwhile back on the ranch

I have always liked her show and here she gives recipes of all different kinds of food. They are very well written and easy to understand. The book is kind of like the show with little passages about what is going on down at the ranch. There is a lot of recipes of everything you can think of, from Chicken tacos to freezer ready meatballs. there are of course also delicious desserts to make your mouth water. This book will give you plenty of new recipes to try.

She does a great job with photos throughout when it comes to her ...

I bought this cookbook, but returned it because it wasn't really what I was looking for. I will say that I have never watched the Pioneer Woman's show or read or blog, yet I found her cookbook very engaging. Her writing is amusing and her life is interesting. She does a great job with photos throughout when it comes to her life on the ranch. I can see why people like her!! What I didn't like though, was the overkill on food prep pictures.. this is how you add the ingredients to the bowl. This is a picture of how you stir the ingredients in the bowl, etc. etc. Each recipe has about 10 pictures on the page, making it hard to weed through the written directions. I was also hoping for some great freezer meals, but it was things like freeze some ground beef in small packets to pull out for meals...kind of common sense things in my opinion. Overall, engaging book, fun pics of family, writing good, some people may like the recipes, but just not what I was looking for.

Good indulgence for when I have time to cook these recipes...

These are all very practical for stay at home moms! So if that is you, buy this book. But those of us who don't have the luxury of having hours to cook dinner, this book may not be for you. And just a heads up- lots of pictures of her family and her ranch. I mean LOTS. The number of photos probably outnumber the actual recipes. But I did enjoy the recipes I have had time to try so far!

Great cookbook

I like the book for its illustrations and easy recipes. I have made the lasagna rolls, chicken pot pies and rice pudding. I have to say the rice pudding was the best we’ve ever had.

Great

Great gift.

Great Must-Have Cookbook

I just purchased two of her cookbooks. I haven't had a chance to cook from them yet, but I can tell you after reviewing the pages I can't wait! The recipies are very straight forward with descriptions and details explanations. The pictures are really outstanding and you have guidance all the way through the stages of preperation to pulling it out of the oven. She seems to have a nice balance of "hominess" to uniqueness and not be over the top in difficulty. This is the kind of cookbook that would make a great gift for anyone who likes to cook, especially a newer cook because of all of the detail.

Hazy a d tasty food for parties and gatherings.

I loved the easy-going way the author writes. Her recipes are a no-nonance approach and the come out mostly tasty.

Wonderful, Practical, Real Life Cooking

This has turned out to be one of my favorite cookbooks. Why? Because the ingredients are normal items you can get anywhere or already have- the instructions are clear and great photos. The "look" of a book does inspire me to try new things and this one does just that. I have tried many of the recipes and they all turned out really good. The Mexican food recipes are not authentic (Texan) but that's fine. So happy with this cookbook I will get it as gifts.

Yum

Who doesn't love The Pioneer Woman (besides my waistline) great book with easy to use recipes and great photos

Beautiful Book!

It really is a beautiful cookbook. Ree Drummond did not disappoint. There are some recipes however, that are the exact same ones from her previous cookbooks. I would say about 10-15% of the book is a repeat. So if you have all four, as I do...you have duplicates. I did decide to buy it for co-worker who just bought her first home. I remember that time and how exciting it was to own your first home. I also remembered I had no money to buy a cookbook...so I couldn't think of a better gift.

One of the best.

I LOVE this cookbook. I borrowed it from the library and tried a few recipes, and they were awesome. So, obviously, I had to buy the book. The chicken potpies and chicken nachos are both fantastic! I have dog-eared many pages for recipes I plan to try. I've never used any of the Pioneer Woman recipes before, but I absolutely see why people love her cooking so much. The ingredients are easy to find and completely affordable. I also love the fact that she has vegetarian recipes that are so good that you don't even miss the meat. Overall, I can't recommend this cookbook enough.

Cookbook

Great book

Great Cookbook

All cookbooks should be REQUIRED to be written like this! Every recipe has a large picture of the finished dish. How can you tell if you've cooked and plated it right if you don't know what it should look like? There are step by step instructions which also include a picture of that step. The recipes are family friendly. They are not "gourmet" and do not contain strange ingredients. I had borrowed this book from my library, thinking I might find a new recipe. I liked so many that I knew I had to buy this book. Thanks, Ree.

Everyone should own this!

Ever single recipe is amazing. This is the 3rd cookbook of hers I have. The illustrations & recipe directions make cooking fool proof. Very witty comments in book. LOVE IT

I love watching her show and I absolutely love her recipes

I am a huge fan of Ree's. I love watching her show and I absolutely love her recipes. I was super excited to see this new cookbook was out. It's a must have for anyone who loves to cook. My most favorite part is all the pictures. At least 75% of the recipes I try, at some point I say "okay this is totally not how it's supposed to look." And now I can look in the book and be like yep, all looks okay! Plus this is such a great collection of recipes. I especially love the freezer section.

I've made a few recipes out of the cookbook

I love the food and recipes in the cookbook

Her wonderfully casual cooking approach and down-home manner make her recipes ...

If you've never watched Ree Drummond's TV cooking program, you owe it to yourself to start...its almost addictive. Her wonderfully casual cooking approach and down-home manner make her recipes instant home-runs for you and your family. Ree doesn't just provide you with a collection of easy-to-prepare, super delicious recipes, but also often gives the back story on each and a lot of real kitchen and farm/ranch living wisdom too. I have many of her cook books and can recommend each and every one of them to you and your home kitchen.

Love Ree Drummonds recipes

Love Ree Drummonds recipes! I have most of the ingredients on hand that are required, and most are very simple to make. The recipes always seem to come out like they should. Her books include many family, ranch and animal photos which are beautiful! I enjoy her TV show and her cookbooks as my family had an angus ranch in Idaho. She stirs many memories in my old mind!

I love meat, but this burger is amazing

Not only are the recipes in this book delicious, but they use ingredients I often already have in my pantry. One of my favorites was the black bean burger. I love meat, but this burger is amazing! I find myself making it over and over along with several other recipes. Additionally, there are recipes to satisfy any craving you will have. If you want Asian cuisine, there's a recipe for that. Italian? There's a recipe for that. Mexican inspired food? There's a recipe for that. I received this book as a gift and it has been one of my favorites!

Good one!

Good recipes well illustrated. Ree is an accomplished photographer and writer as well a good cook.

love Cooking

Pioneer Woman cookbooks are the best. They have recipes with ingredients that are around the house

Found one online and really loved it so I thought I'd get her book

I've just started making recipes from Ree Drummond recently. Found one online and really loved it so I thought I'd get her book. So far, I've probably made 5 or 6 recipes. Can't say I like all her recipes which is typical of any cookbook. But they are easy to understand especially when there are colorful pictures for each step of the recipe. I needed another cookbook like a hole in the head but I'm still glad I bought it.

Best cookbook!

Love this cookbook! Instructions so easy a child could use it! Came in new condition.

this book has a ton of recipes that our whole family can eat and enjoy together. I don't think meal times of been ...

I rarely buy cookbooks anymore and when I do I usually use them for a month and then stick them on a bookshelf. I have had this book for year and I still use it all the time and my friends borrow it all the time too. Before children who are used to eat fabulous meal every night, this book has a ton of recipes that our whole family can eat and enjoy together. I don't think meal times of been this easy and enjoyable for a long time. Definitely a worthwhile investment!

Most Highly Recommended

Just what I expected out of this cookbook: more classic American cooking (yes, even the Asian, Italian, and Mexican dishes in here are part of the American repertoire of household classics) for anyone. I plan the meals (I have medical issues that require me to be somewhat picky) and my wife does the cooking. I have her first two cookbooks (don't have the holiday one...yet!) and this one continues on with dishes that are suitable anytime, not just for dinner. My family must have the same taste in food as hers and I must have the same taste in food as her husband. Most highly recommended.

Good

Good

Cooking fun

Love watching Ree Drummond and her cookbooks are amazing and easy to follow.

I love this cookbook

When I first ordered this book it was missing pages. I notified Amazon immediately and they had a new one to me 48 hours later. That aside... I love this cookbook. My spouse and I have our own business and it is hard to come home and whip up a nice meal. Couple that with his food allergies it makes whipping up out of the box meals even harder. This cookbook helped me plan and organize meals not just for 1 week but for 2 weeks at a time. Simple edits to omit allergens was easy and didn't affect the taste. THANKS AGAIN REE!!

Wonderful cookbook

This is the second cookbook of hers I've purchased and we really like both of them. I'd suggest this, or any of hers, to anyone that enjoys cooking. My only criticism of this one is the same as last one and that's the recipes are for large groups of people. You just have to figure out how to cut down the ingredients to fit what you need if you're cooking for 2-3 people.

Practical tips and great recipes

I have used ree’s recipes for years but this is the first time I purchased one of her books. It’s a great value and I love having quick access to her recipes.

Many recipes on her blog

I was disappointed to see so many recipes I have cooked from her blog. I have her other books and love them dearly (still love her signature step by step pictures!) but this had the most blog to book content I have seen in any of her books. I prefer a book as opposed o printing out a recipe or using an iPad/laptop, but I was hoping the ratio of new recipes would be higher since I'm paying for the material

Yum

Cool book with lots of great items.

Price is awesome

My wife absolutely loved the book well put together and better than I thought buying more

Tasty Stuff

Our family favorite is the pizza roll. The food is yummy, but sometimes a bit high in calories. The book doesn't stay open on my recipe holder like a binder does. So, I make copies of our favorites and put them in a binder.

Fantastic Cookbook

This is the first Pioneer Woman cookbook I've owned. I have to admit I am a cookbook junkie and this cookbook is one of my favorites, if not my favorite. I love the pictures of her family and she makes it easy to follow the recipes. I liked it so much I ordered her first one. The story of how she and Ladd met was really heartwarming. The real reason I ordered it was for the cinnamon roll recipe. I haven't tried it yet, but several co-workers have and highly recommend it.

Love these cookbooks.

Bought this as a bridal shower gift for my niece. I'm going to order another for myself. Picture illustrates the fabulous dished made by the PW.

Beginner cook

I love her cookbooks ! Love all the pictures and step by steps , super easy to follow!

Great Cookbook!

This is a wonderful cookbook, the Pioneer Woman always gives us recipes that are particularly unique and interesting to try - but this Dinnertime cookbook is my favorite one of hers. As someone who's not very skilled in the kitchen, I find her instructions and photos to be extremely helpful. I read through this cookbook and actually want to make dinner after a long day of work - and that definitely says something. I love the way the book is organized and the fact that I can make a "freezer dinner" or I can try something new.

Great Recipes and Visually Lovely

I love this cookbook! I'm a cookbook junkie and love to buy them because of the beautiful pictures, but there are few that I cook from. This book is visually beautiful AND it has wonderful recipes that are easy to prepare plus they appeal to a variety of palates. This is my first cookbook by Ree, and it won't be the last. I love the step-by-step photographs. Very easy to read and cook from.

Will order more of her cookbooks

I like the pictures easy to fallow.

Great Book

Nice thick cook book, alo alot of net recipes. Going to be a great Christmas gift for my mom.

This will be your Go-To cookbook!

This cookbook will make your whole family happy. Each recipe has ingredients that you probably already have in your kitchen and most of them take 30 minutes or less to make. I have loved every recipe I've made in this book. The pictures are beautiful and take you step-by-step through each dish. Please make the Classic Pulled Pork...you will thank me.

Love them.

I love her cook books. They are so simple to follow with the step by step instructions and pictures.

Love!

I love the pictures that are provided for prep. I haven’t made a recipe I haven’t liked.

This book is awesome! Easy to read and has pictures to follow ...

Oh my i have to say!!! This book is awesome! Easy to read and has pictures to follow each step. I have 3 other cook books and i only use two recipe from one out of three. But this book is just great. I bought this book bc im bord of cooking the same spanish stuff i grew up with all my life and im looking out of the box. this book is perfect for that.

A great cook book

I absolutely love this cook book!!! I love all the illustrations and comments about how the food will appear at different stages. It helped me to know that I was on the right track. I especially liked the the variations she included with the recipes. In her beef with snow peas recipe she included a broccoli variation which was great because I don't like snow peas. The recipes were easy to modify into lower fat versions. The recipes were easy and delicious.

Wonderful cookbook

Love this cook book. I am a big fan of pioneer women. And I'm loving these recipes. Though I am finding that most of her recipes can be found on Pinterest her website and other sources. I love to read the stores and be able to psychically touch the pages as I cook. A little sentimental. Also the book is well bound. I find if I get anything on be pages I am able to easily wipe it clean. I would recommend this to be added to any cooks collection.

Great Recipes

I bought as a gift for my daughter. She loves it and every recipe she has tried has been delicious!

Great ideas!

Love this cookbook and Ree Drummond! The beauty of this cookbook is the clever shortcuts and quick, easy recipes. This is a cookbook for folks who have to get a nice hearty meal on the table every night and may need some help and inspiration. Count me in! I've been cooking dinner for my family for over twenty years and it's easy to get in a rut. I enjoy the author's down to earth, fun loving style and it's an enjoyable, practical book to have on hand. I recommend it!

Easy to follow recipes, great pictures of the dishes.

Great recipes, good graphic pictures of the dishes, easy to follow instructions.

I love this cook book!

I can't say enough good things about this cook book. This is my second Ree Drummond cookbook. I love how she writes. These are the only cook books I find myself really reading (more than just the recipe). She's hilarious! It has great recipes that are easy to follow. She goes step by step with pictures! I felt like I was cooking restaurant quality food for my family but it was so easy. I definitely recommend this cook book to anyone who wants to add some great recipes to their collection.

GREAT gift idea!

The recipes use common ingredients & are easy to understand. Pictures of each step are also incredibly helpful. =)

Great book

Great cookbook for everyone

Cookings a breeze with step by step pictures and instructions

I always love the format of Ree’s cookbooks. Each recipe has step by step instructions with a picture for each step, makes it really simple to see exactly what your meal should be looking like every bit of the way. The meals are all flavorful and family favorites

Absolutely gorgeous book

This book is a work of art. Beautiful in photography, clear in instruction. Recipes include step-by-step photographs in gorgeous color. I am not familiar with Ree Drummond's website but saw this book in a bookstore. Couldn't get it off my mind so I ordered it from Amazon. Beautiful photos of her family and ranch and food. Hope the food tastes as good as they look in print. It is a joy to just look through.

and it's great for people with a busy schedule who still want ...

I bought this as part of a wedding gift. The recipes are convenient and accessible for all skill levels, and it's great for people with a busy schedule who still want to enjoy healthy home cooking without too much time and stress. Nice pictures. If you like the Pioneer Woman, you'll enjoy this book.

More Freezer meals and less salads please

I have purchased every one of her cookbooks. This one is better than the third one but is still a little disapointing. I would say at least a third of the recipes are available on her website or have been aired on Food Network. Plus she did an entire section on salads - I really do not need 30 pages for salads. The breakfast for dinner was average at best and I was extreamly disappointed in her Freezer Meal section an example of my disappointment is a meatball recipe (which is on the web) and then 3 full recipes on how to use the meat balls. There was nothing in the freezer section that was exciting. I love Ree Drummond and not sorry I purchased the cookbook just a bit disapointed.

Great Addition to my Cookbook Collection!

I have a LOT of cookbooks. I love cookbooks. And this is one I know I will use again and again. Have made several recipes and enjoyed them! I like the way the recipes are categorized - makes it easy to find what I want. The many photos of each recipe is a plus as well. Novice cooks will find this so helpful.

... from this book and my family and friends have loved them all

I have made a ton of recipes from this book and my family and friends have loved them all. The Pioneer Woman and her recipes have won my husband over and each time I think of trying a new recipe, my husband suggests I try Ree’s version of that recipe since it’s bound to be a hit.
