I can't remember reading something so beautiful and magical! You can almost feel as if you are right there, inside this beautofullu and artfully crafted poem.

My grandmother read this story to me and my siblings every Christmas Eve when we were young. A cherished memory! Now I read this classic story to my grandchildren on Christmas Eve. I wish I had the hardcover edition that was read to me, the story and illustrations filled me with excitement, and imaginative wonder.

The cover is what drew me my attention, but I prefer this poem with illustrations. Unfortunately, this version is sans illustrations.

Love this poem. Shared it with my 4 year old and she's simply too young to appreciate it without any pictures. She was bored about halfway through. The cover of this Kindle book entices the reader into thinking there may be pictures inside to accompany the poem, but there isn't and that's too bad. When she is older we will try again! It's such a magical holiday story to share.

The kid's at the children's hospital loved this book we had the best time reading it with Santa Claus.

Always a great read. Just was in the mood to read it again. Although I know it by heart and never tried to, it just came naturally. My son would read it to his children every night during the Christmas season and when he got to the part about the reindeer (Donner) my granddaughter would stop him and say, "and Tom! Her Aunt Donna's husband - never left him out.

A jaunty poem that has been rewritten by thousands of people to reflect another point; however, I always come back to the original on Christmas eve. The words paint a picture of the perfect family waiting for the perfect holiday. How many of us are stuck on December 24th with unwanted houseguests, families feuding or burned dinner? I rather wish to be included in the poem just for Christmas.

It's a classic!!! Don't know if I ever saw it in print having been hit with the TV version in cartoon form about a million times. I guess I did see it in children's books now that i think about it. Loved downloading it because now I not only have the print version but the digital print version!!!

What's there to say about this beloved Christmas poem that hasn't been said? Every time I read it, no matter what time of year, it always follows that a smile should appear. So i say, if you're thinking to buy it, it was free after all, so why not just try it?

I bought this for my Kindle thinking there would be accompanying pictures. I know the poem by heart so I didn't need it for that. But not one single picture with this. Good thing it was free or I would have been angry.
