The storyline about Sir Drake was great. Here this strong, good looking, vital man is deeply heartbroken over the death of the love of his life from a sick psychopath name Solomon and is bent on getting revenge meanwhile taking on dangerous and very risky assignment as a CIA operative. Unbeknownst to him the new female agent that he seem drawn to is his love of his life that he presume is dead and her identity needs to remain hidden to protect both her and Drake from the Solomon that supposedly killed her during a mission, that was orchestrated to lure Drake and Sandy there so that he could avenge his wife death from a previous mission that Drake and Solomon encountered. I like how she brings in the Madaris family and their friends and how they all connect based on a genuine caring and loving of family and friends that will be there no matter what crises may arise. I just started reading Brenda Jackson's books recently and is hook!! I have so far read several others and cant wait to read the others. This is a good read for summer, fall, winter, and spring take your pick.

I fell in love with Drake Warren myself, so I could understand why Tori had to convince him to live! In Tori, Brenda Jackson created an Alpha Heroine, a woman who could hold her own against any man, yet was feminine and romantic as well. Together, the two of them were dynamite waiting to explode! Their story is riveting, and as the title stated, kept me up long past midnight until I finished it! Excellent story!!

I love the stories Brenda writes. Everything i read one of her book and the characters. It leave wanting more and more. Brenda has some of the best characters i have read in romance novels. Brenda "KEEP" me buy more of her book and just wanting more to read.

I’ve been reading Ms. Jackson’s books since the early 2000’s. I was trying to figure out the very first book of hers that I read that made he addicted to her story’s and now has me always waiting for the next book when I came across Drake and Tori’s story. I recalled reading about them in other stories, but didn’t recall reading the story. And once again Brenda Jackson has not disappointed the audience with this story! Her knack for creating these gorgeous tough men characters and pairing them with strong equally tough efficient women is amazing. I love, love, love reading a Brenda Jackson story because at the disco of it all I know love will conquer all.

The Midnight Hour had a touch of intrigue , danger and deep love between the former CIA agent Sir Drake Warren and his former marine partner Sandy Carroll aka Victoria Green. On a secret mission with her partner ,Sir Warren Drake, a timed explosion nearly killed her and it knocked out Sir Warren. In order to keep Sandy safe from the cartel boss who held them responsible for the death of his wife in a previous raid; she was given a new identity and a new face because of extensive burns from the explosion..Sir Warren was never told what had happened to Sandy..Finally after a few years he is injured and she comes out of hiding to give him the will to live and love again...This is a great book..Ms.Jackson has 5 stars on this.

OK... For those who say unbelievable or far fetched story line..well yeah. All the romance in these books are far fetched in my world at least. This book was AWESOME. Drake is what I call a man in full. I have loved Drake from the minute he popped up in Fire and Desire. I couldn't wait to read his story and it was definitely worth the wait. He was hot & Tori was his match. I'm so glad it wasn't a dragged out story line yet it wasn't like, hi it's me...the end. Hot,hot,hot is what comes to mind when I think of Drake. I can't get enough of these guys. First Dex then Trevor now Drake. Up next is Alex and Cristy. Let's keep it coming Mrs. Jackson.

This story gave me insight into the life and loves of the brave, extraordinary men and women who guard and protect our country daily with there lives. Thank you Brenda Jackson for this unique story and thanks to all branches of our armed forces!!!

WOW!!!!! This book took me from zero to a hundred in the 1st chapter! This was not just a normal easy read love story. This was an adventure, WOW

The book was good and had a lot of the hallmarks of Brenda Jackson's romantic style. The reason I cannot give the book full marks for two reasons. First, I just did not buy the law enforcement angle in the book. I don't know why it wasn't credible. Maybe its because it came across a seriously caricatured. Also, the bit about "visiting the baby" really grossed me out. I know that is essentially what happens when pregnant women have sex, but ewww.

Brenda Jackson keeps her Madaris Family and Friends fans squirming in their seats with this action packed romance. I couldn't put this book down until the end. Jackson is in a league of her own. She gives her readers just enough to keep them thirsting for more. This romance is HOT and fans will definitely need to cool off! Sir Drake takes charge and goes for what he want, and Tori proves to be the perfect match for this ex-marine. With danger on the horizon, these two team up for a little butt kicking while they rediscover the love that they never lost for each other. This is a very good read.

I thoroughly enjoyed Drake and Tori’s story. The love they have for each other was great. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who is looking for a steamy romantic love story this would be one for you. Great job Brenda please don’t stop writing these fabulous stories. Thank you.🙏✍️

On the edge of my seat reading this romantic suspense novel by Mrs. Jackson. It was exactly what I enjoy most reading her books. The trial and error of finding that second chance with the one you love.:Loved it hands down.

I kept telling myself over and over I'm going to detox from so many of these books but once I saw this and Sir Drake...I couldn't resist. It was kind of predictable and the fight scene was a little dull but over all the characters and the heat they created was a page turner. With Sir Drake popping in and out of the other stories it was good to see his story.

It is obvious that Brenda Jackson is a master storyteller. I was sitting on edge reading the Midnight Hour anticipating that somehow Drake and Tori would have a happy ending. The emotions... Powerful. Passionate. Explosive. It's a story that I can reread.

I love this book. The twist and turns were off the hook!! How Tori/Sandy got her man back was great. Sir Drake and Tori both lived for being Recons and would do anything to save each other. I am so glad that Sir Drake took Tori being Sandy well. If you like love and a little military intrigue this is the book for you!! Would highly recommend.

You will fall in love with Sir Drake Warren. He is sexy and strong. He knows how to handle a woman well. I love reading about Tori because she is strong and can handle herself with and without a weapon. Smart, strong, and sexy. Intense and electrifying when Tori and Darren come together. It makes a beautiful love story. I love this book. I love reading all of Brenda Jackson's book. Great love, great plot, and always a beautiful ending.

This is another great book written by a great author. Although I am late reading this book, I have read so many other books that give reference to the characters within this book, I had to read this one and I was NOT disappointed. I am truly a HUGE fan. I can not read any other books. Great job Ms. Jackson.

Drake had become a reckless agent since losing his marine fiancee. After almost getting killed an angel came to encourage him to live. After recovering he was assigned a new mission with a new female partner. Something about Tori made him stand up and notice. Little did he know what was in store for him and his new partner. Secrets are revealed as they fight for their lives.

OMG!! Wow !! Great read again Ms Jackson. I love love love the Madaris Family and Friends. Can't wait to see how the Madaris brothers react to Alex and Christy attraction to each other. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us your fans. God bless you.

This Madaris book is one of my favorites of Mrs. Jackson. I already read it at the library, but wanted for my collection to read again. Sir Warren is the tuff take no crap hero, and Victoria is determined not to be just sit and be passive.

The Midnight Hour. This book was great! I enjoyed reading this book! Sir Drake was a lonely man after the love of his life died on an assignment as an agent. The cartel monster threatened to kill anyone who was interested in Drake Warren. Sir Drake gained another partner that reminded him of someone he knew, but couldn't figure it out. Victoria had a secret she needed to tell him but fear kept her from doing it. But all secrets have a way of coming out. The cartel monster came after them again, ,but this time he prevailed against the monster.

There were more than a few ripped pages. I know it was a used book but there should be notice of ripped pages. I was giving that book to someone as a birthday present and I was embarrassed to give it to them. Do not list a item as acceptable, if it isn't and having almost five ripped pages is not acceptable.

We Be Book'n Book Club read this book in April 2020. We thoroughly enjoyed "The Midnight Hour " by Brenda Jackson. Some of our members used the audio portion of this read, and felt all the passion while listening to this story. This was our first read of the series, and felt that we didn't need to read the books before to figure out what was going on. Drake was and is the MAN! You can just feel the masculinity of Drake rolling off of him. You also have that male chauvinist attitude that comes with Drake's masculinity, that draws you into him, but puts you off a little. And then you have Sandy/Tori, golden brown eyes and skin like melted chocolate, who once gave her heart to Drake as Sandy, was given up for dead in an explosion, reconstructed completely to become Tori (Victoria), who became the only match for Drake. Their heated reunion, was off the charts. You also have characters, like Drake and Tori's boss (Hawk) who plays a big part of keeping secrets, that makes the read even more interesting. Don' forget Drake's partners (the Madaris family) that stands by Drake no matter what. This is a page turner that is very hard to put down, that will keep you reading way pass midnight. The only reason our book club did not give it a 5 star rating, was because a few members thought some parts the book were almost predictable and a little unbelievable, but that's fiction, right? This was one of Brenda Jackson's best novels. I really enjoyed reading Sir Drake and Sandy/Tori' s story. Sir Drake, Col. Ashton Sinclair and Trevor Grant....three sexy Marines. Drake was a man on a mission, find and save the woman he loved. Tori didn't want to be found because she was keeping a big secret from Drake. This was a great book.

Read this book now. It was well written and a enjoyable read. You may be able to figure out the story line but it is most enjoyable to see how she buts the story together. I love how Drake is a tough man but one who knows how to love a women and has good friends. It's just good to read positive stories about strong black men that are not afraid to love their women,their families,and their friends.

I loved the story line in this 12th book. I loved the beginning of this story. I loved the action in this story. I loved Tori's character, I loved how she is just as tough as Drake. I loved Drake's character. I loved Drake's fearless attitude. Tori & Drake make an awesome team. I loved the ending. This was an awesome romance to read great job Ms. Jackson.

Love it!!!! Its filled with lots of action, suspense, drama and some sexy love scenes. I love that both Drake and Sandy/Tori are both compatible in love as well as in skills. Tori is a strong heroine that can kick some butt and Drake is just as bad or maybe worst. I love how the locations of the scenes were written I can visualize the mountains. This is a must read alone as well as part of the series books.

What made this book such a good read was that is was not predictable. The characters were believable for their roles and the reader learned the depth and breath off the Madaris. This has made me want to read more about this family. Needless to say, I am an avid Brenda Jackson fan and I use her books to escape from the stress of my work. However, I will recommend this book to friends.

I love the Madris series. This one just made me fall in love with them all over again. Sir Drake and Sandy are a force to be reckoned with! I love the couple they are so fearless and have so much love for each other. This book is awesome, I've read it so many times I could probably recite it with my eyes closed! If you're considering getting it...GET IT!

I loved this book. In this book we learn more about Sir Drake and what has made him the hard man he has become. Drake lost his fiancée Sandy 5 years ago due to the vengeance of a drug lord. Since that time, he has not gotten close to any woman. Now he is being forced to work with another female agent named Tori. He can't explain why he is so drawn to her but realizes that she reminders him so much of Sandy. Together they must confront and defeat the drug lord who caused so much grief in their lives. The chemistry between Drake and Tori was awesome. It takes a strong woman to handle a man like Drake, and Tori was more than able. Brenda Jackson always does a wonderful job telling a story. I love the way she describes the characters and their surrounding so that the reader can actually picture what's going on.

Once again, Ms. Jackson does it again! This time with "The Midnight Hour." Action packed drama involving the daring and tough Drake Warren. He is a combination of Rambo, Steven Seagal, Denzel Washington, Larry Fishburn, Jean Claude-Van Dam and Arnold. Oh, but Drake is definitely Drake. I loved the action and the quick wit thinking of not only Drake, but his love and cohort, Tori Green. These two have definitely had lots of action in their lives, but through it all, their love along with the help of the Most High, has brought them through. Tori has kept secrets from Drake, but not because she is trying to deceive him, but because she loves him. However, when all is said and done, just before dawn is the midnight hour. The time when things definitely takes shape. Tori and Drake have experienced a lot around the midnight hour -- some good and some not so good. However, after the midnight hour, then the light comes through. Ms. Jackson also brings the Madaris clan and their friends back in this story. Drake, Trevor, and Ashton are close friends of the Madaris, who value family and their friends. So, the reader gets a glimpse of them as well. For all those Brenda Jackson fans who have not read this book, read it before the new release of the next Madaris book involving Christy Madaris and the handsome Alex Maxwell.

'The Midnight Hour' is my absolute favorite of BJ's books. It's the perfect combination of love and danger. If you're a fan of romance novels combined with danger than this story is for you. This story is about two people who lost each other and find each other again against a backdrop of danger. I love how intense Drake is but Tori gives it right back to him and is a powerhouse in her own right. She loves Drake but she's strong and independent too. Couldn't put it down and I re-read it constantly. Highly recommended for BJ fans!!

Love all of Brenda Jackson books

All I have to say is that when a Brenda Jackson book comes out, just go ahead and give it 5 stars. I started reading this lady a year ago with Surrender and then after realizing she had connecting books I started from the beginning and read through them all. Not one has disappointed me and I can add the Midnight Hour to that list, along with all her other books outside of the Madaris family saga. If you ever come across any books that Ms. Jackson writes, just pick it up. Don't worry about what it's about or what the cover looks like. It could be wrapped in tissue paper and it would still be a good book. Keep up the work Ms. Jackson because I am a fan until the end.

This is another good story by Brenda Jackson. Sir Drake's story is well written and as intense as Sir Drake. It is an easy read and you can't wait for Tori to reveal her story. I thoroughly enjoyed it so much so that I have reread it at least twice. It fits in with all the other stories. It strengthens your faith in love and fate.

Great story.

I'm very impressed with all Brenda Jackson novels and this one ranks right up there among the rest. It's a Madaris novel and is as steamy and adventerous as all the rest. It's a story of a man who never got over the woman that stole his heart and now once again it's up to him to protect her once he relizes that she did'nt actually die on a mission for the CIA. It's a great book and I suggest you start at the beginning of the Madaris series so you will know where all of the stories characters fit in.

I thought that this book was just as great as the others. She combined a true love story with an action story. I loved the fact that Tori/Sandy was a very strong female character and Drake was tough but not with her. All in all I loved it and I look forward to Brenda's other books.

I love her work. That book was very enjoyabe fast paced action love scene was good, she did it again.

The Midnight Hour has been the best book I've read so far out of the Madaris series. I highly recommend this book to any one who enjoys romance with a little suspense.

I have to say that I am one of Brenda Jackson's biggest fans. I love her work, her storylines, and her family ties that she puts together in her books. The Madaris series is one of the best I've had the pleasure of reading. However, I realize this is a work of fiction, but the storyline was too fictitious for me. The total facial implant, the villain stopping at nothing to kill the lover (yes, just the lover) of someone they hate....years later? I don't know...I didn't buy it. I appreciated the lead in to the next story in the series, Unfinished Business (which was an excellent book), but this one left me wanting a better developed story from the first chapter.

I was a little worried at first because it took me a minute to get into the book. Once I got into I couldn't put it down. I finiished it in a day! Sir Drake...what a man! I have to give it to Tori as well. She held her own!

The girl did it again. I love everything that Mrs.Jackson writes. And i must say that ms. lady out did herself this time. It is a must read.

I am a huge Brenda Jackson and Madaris family fan, but this book killed me. I understood the story line but found no interest in Sir Drake and Tori. I finished this book only for the fact that I have read the entire Madaris series and will continue to do so. I truly don't see how anyone enjoyed this book.
