It’s already been written but no ski run names, and it truly is just a book of maps. I had expected some photography and more on the development of each mountains topography and was bummed to have it be more a compilation of very similar looking unlabeled maps, this is not a $100 book.

My husband was THRILLED to get this as a gift. He poured over all of the paintings and continues to return to them. It’s a gorgeous book - great for keeping out on a table and enjoying for years to come.

This is not only a beautiful book with amazing artistry, it’s also an incredible story of a man who dedicated much of his life to painting the ski maps that we’ve all used and enjoyed for years. Hard to imagine a skier who wouldn’t enjoy learning about Mr. Niehues and having access to just about every possible ski hill map all over the world - with hand-painted prints to show the detail that makes them so special.

Picked this up as part of the Kickstarter campaign. Amazing talent displayed on every page. We have several younger skiers in the family that love to page through and dream of the cool resorts for their wish lists. Worth every penny!
