Eight Year Old Boy Can't Stop Reading This!

My 8 year old son is having so much fun reading this, He has had it for 2 days and is halfway through...he keeps coming up to me and excitedly telling me all these secrets he is learning. My husband and I are also interested in the FNAF conspiracy theories, so it is a really special book! I like the small size of the book. The drawings are done well.

but it was good to refresh my memory

I pre-ordered this back in March, and it came just in time! It was worth the wait! I already knew most of the information (thanks MatPat), but it was good to refresh my memory. I did hope to find new information, mostly about what was in the box from FNAF 4 lol. But it was still interesting to read. This book is mainly an archive for all five games, fan theories, and easter eggs, but FNAF fans will love the surprise at the end of the book lol. It's totally not a teaser for FNAF 6 if that's what you're thinking. ;P

SO AMAZING!!!!🐻🐰🐤🦊

THIS IS SO COOL IF YOU ARE A TRUE FNAF FAN THEN GET THIS!!!!!

Fascinating!!

So, I'm REALLY into the lore and story behind these games. This book was a really awesome look at some of the mechanics thrown into the game and also revealed some crazy details that REALLY prove that Scott Cawthon is a master video game creator. I don't wanna spoil too much, but there are some things in the game that are CRAZY thought-out by him. Things that you wouldn't have ever really thought of had you not been told about them flat-out (hint: it has something to do with something that was already pretty hidden in the 3rd game...). I was so excited for this book to come out and it definitely did not disappoint!!

It's nice to have a little info book here to know ...

I'll admit this book is basically "The Game Theorist's FNAF Series: The Book" but it was still worth the purchase. It's nice to have a little info book here to know what's the truth, what's not, and what no one else has caught onto when it comes to these games. Worth it if you're super into FNAF.

A bit hit.

My son read this book over and over and over and has taken it to school and his friends are reading it as well.

Great Book!

My son is a huge FNAF fan and absolutely loved this guide book. It is a very good quality paper-back book with lots of glossy pictures and various information about the game. If your kid loves Freddy and his gang, this is a must buy!

OMG -mind blown-

Dude, this is like the most AWESOME FNAF book in like, history! Don't care about that stupid low down guy who gave u ONE STAR! Dude, that guy is a psycho. This book is da best!!! My friend, Eren, also a FNAF fan made a group called Freddy Forces. We play FNAF2 on Scratch and your gameplay really worked! I bet, using this precious information, will finish ALL nights!! Now.... question time!!! ^ · ^ Can u give more info about Shadow Freddy and Bonnie? Why Springtrap and Freddy appear in FNAF6?? (hotly debated) Show how to defeat 20/20/20/20 mode? What are the timelines in all FNAFs? Is Bidybab a dummy? Is Funtime Foxy Mangle? Why is Baby the ony SL in FNAF6? Updates! XD FNAF6 is out!!! More debatez!

Great book, but there's still so many questions!

This book provides information about the gameplay mechanics behind the FNAF series, as well as thought-provoking theories about the storylines in the games and novels, and has some unique art of the characters. While this book does not provide any answers to the many mysteries surrounding Five Nights at Freddy's, fans will likely find this book entertaining and useful. I certainly did. Please note that this book only contains information from the original FNAF through FNAF: Sister Location, since at the time I write this, Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator was released somewhat recently.

Really great at game walkthroughs and Lore!!

I loved the pictures! The presentation of the book was spot on, meaning it pretty much adapted into similar design as the games and books! Plus it was fun to read! I loved the Easter Eggs and Cheats too, I am not a great game player but I've watched others play FNAF 1-4 and read the books! I did play the first and second game but they got to hard for me. My kids have fallen for Bonnie, Freddy, Chica and Foxy since the first FNAF came out and we have all 3 grown together experiencing all kinds of FNAF gameplay, fan art, watching you tube creations and reading together! I have always been curious about the story behind FNAF and I seem to have pieced it together from the mini games and books. My kids and I all agree on the purple guy is the killer and the Animatronics are sprits of the kids and trying to help save other kids! I think that Scott has come up with a ingenious idea.. Freddy Fazbear's could really be called his creation and it is really caught on! I have never seen so much love for a horror game especially within such a wide age range of players from 3 years old to my age 32. My oldest is seven and I think he was 3 or 4 when FNAF 1 came out so my youngest now 5 was introduced to it his whole life, so I started with age 3 because that is when they could comprehend the characters, and also my youngest picked out a Chica toy for Christmas with Grandpa! I was really amazed that he knew exactly who Chica was and he wanted it enough to explain it to Grandpa (who instilled in me my own love for all things horror). I guess that just goes to show how big a phenomenon FNAF really is. Now.. they just need a movie....

Great Guidebook For Newbies, Theorists & Fans Alike!

An excellent guidebook for newbies, seasoned theorists and die-hard fans alike, this book delves into the gameplay, theories and lore of Five Nights at Freddy's. There are some whimsical illustrations included of the characters, and the book overall is very cleverly and creatively presented, with many of the games' "Easter Eggs" laid out. A great read, and you may even learn one or two things about the lore that you didn't notice while playing the games. Glad that Scott decided to publish an official guidebook! Although, if you're looking for Scott to actually answer questions about the lore, that's not what the book does so much as present different popular viewpoints or "theories." Rather, it's up to the player to understand and piece together the story that Scott has revealed in the games. I've been a fan of the series for a couple years now and thought it was a great read, despite the actual answers to the biggest mysteries still being elusive :)

Great guide

It was a great fnaf guides If you were just starting this is the book for you. 3 more words

Must read

10 yr old daughter loves the game so naturally she loves the books as well. She now has the entire collection and continues to re-read them. She says they are that good. If you have a FNAF lover these are a definite must have. We make her read to earn electronic time so these are her go to books to earn the time and sometimes we have to peel her away cause she gets lost in the books and looses track of time. Which we love that she loves to read. Lol

Five Stars

Son absolutely loved it. He read it in 2 days and explained it to me for 2 weeks.

Good Summary, No Answers (and that's okay!)

The Freddy Files (Five Nights at Freddy's) / B06X9C7K2L I am the biggest FNAF fan. I'm not good enough at the game to play past the first couple of nights, but I've seen a million youtube videos and am a particular fan of Markiplier's vids. I've surfed the FNAF wiki for countless hours of my life and read all the fan theories and lurked on forums while they were argued and hashed out. I own both the novels, and I think they're incredible and recommend them whenever I get the chance. I'm that level of invested, so of course I was going to buy this guidebook. I'm glad I did! The guidebook is *beautiful* with glossy pictures on my screen (I bought the kindle version) and high quality images. A lot of work went into making this book both accessible for newbies who would have no idea what is going on but still interesting to fans who know all the basics. There's additionally a lot of interesting material regarding the actual gameplay: the sections for each game include maps of the facilities, little dotted-line tracks that show the paths of the animatronics, and player hints and tips. Even for a non-player like me, the tips were interesting to read, which is a hard balance to maintain! That was well done and I'm impressed. So where's the downside? Well, this book is short. 160 pages and you can tear through it in about an hour. Not all the secret screens are shown, which doesn't make a lot of sense to me because (a) the writers clearly had access to the screens and (b) that's kinda what a lot of us are here for. References are made to "opening up the game files" for ourselves to look, but that's what I bought a book for! Don't get me wrong, there are some secret pictures here--good ones!--but there are quite a few missing. Similarly, if you couldn't get into the novels don't expect a plot summary here; the material covering the novels is more like spoiler-free "teaser" material to pique your interest. On the one hand, I'm okay with this because I *like* the novels, but on the opposing hand I'm not sure why you would include them in a guidebook if there's no actual guiding through the material. The other thing that I'm not sure how I feel about is the "fan theories" in the guide. The guide has done a great job assembling and summarizing quite a few of the major fan theories and that's awesome! But Scott Cawthon--the game designer and writer!--is listed as an author to this guide as a selling point, i.e., this is the "Official" guide and not yet another fan creation. In which case, I was coming into this hoping for... something more than I could find on the FNAF fan wiki? some official "Word of God" material from the actual creator? I didn't expect Scott to answer all the questions surrounding the series, but a few new tidbits of information would have been nice. [side note] This book covers material from FNAF 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (Sister Location), and the two novels (Silver Eyes and Twisted Ones). There is no mention of the RPG spin-off (FNAF World), which is something of a shame because while I'm dimly aware that it was a disastrous train-wreck of a game, I would have enjoyed seeing its inclusion in this guide, its secrets (if it had any!), and some discussion of what went wrong. I understand not wanting to include one's failures in a guidebook that is trying to be accessible to bring in new fans, but I would have liked to see it here regardless. [end side note] As it is, I don't think there's anything here in this guidebook that you can't get for free online. And that's okay! I think it's useful to have the "bare essentials" of the story and fan theories all bound up in a single beautiful edition. Collectors should buy the book and fans will love the stroll down memory lane. It's a good book and I have no regrets, and I'll almost certainly refer to it in the future if another game in the series comes out. But I'm a teeny tiny bit disappointed by the absence of any new material--in a perfect world, I would've liked some teasers released in this, or at least an announcement of a new installment in the series! ~ Ana Mardoll

YOU SHOULD BUY THIS

This is a really good book, has TONS of secrets and clues and lots of little things. There a lot of information about the mini games, each character and each game of fnaf including sister location. At the very end it gives you a clue about the next game and shows a picture as well!

thumbs up

Grandkids loved this book, and carried it around for WEEKS.

Game book

My son is interested in this book however it’s not what I was expecting. I thought this was a literature book not a how to gaming book. My son still enjoys reading it and it does give somewhat of a back story to the game.

Worth every penny

My son clings to this book like it's holy. He brings it to school every day, and apparently his friends all have it to. I have caught him reading it from time to time, even when his preferred diversion is anything to do with my tablet. If your kid is into FNAF, then he/she'll probably appreciate this book. Incidentally, I've flipped through it and have found nothing too scary looking inside of it. Always a good idea.

It's a good book it is really good for fnaf fans and I love it as well

I love this fnaf book I love it so much I like how it had fan theories about the bite of 87 and 83 if you are a fnaf Fan you should get this fnaf book I got my Freddy files on March 23 2020 thanks Amazon again

Super helpful

The reason I chose this rating was because all the information that the author(s) gave us was all stuff I really wanted to know but one question I still have is, "What is in the box."

My favorite FNAF book

This book has to be the bestselling FNAF book. When I'm reading it a school people ask to read my FNAF book. It has been a pleasure doing business with you and I will be making another purchase again soon.

I did not buy this

I did not buy this. Someone else has used my account. I have been having this happen over and over. I changed my password. Please, if you can, contact me and tell what else I can do to correct this issue.

This book is a very good place to go for lore

This book is a very good place to go for lore, secrets, and fun facts on the first five FNaF games. It also has info on the first two FNaF books, but it's really not as extensive. (but to be fair, i don't want to focus on those books either.) The Freddy Files is filled with colorful, fascinating art as well as narration by a knowledgeable, yet teasing narrator who knows more than he's letting on. This is a perfect starting point to base your own theories off of.

My Son Is Obsessed

My son loves this Five Nights at Freddy's and is obsessed with the whole thing. He has fallen asleep in his room with this book in his hands. So it gets him reading and I love it. He's 8.

Good book, Very informative

Great book for FNAF fans!

Has lots of secrets and know-how for each game! Including lore and fan favorites. I enjoy the series and found this a great read despite having around 150 pages.

OH MY GOOODNNNEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!

This book contains a lot of insight into the games and the novels written by scott cawthon. It also explains how all the FNAF games is related to one single family. It also gives a teaser picture of an upcoming game in the end( Freakshow Baby ! ).

Very informative book for FNAF fans. Not as up to date as it could be, but still a great find. Honestly though, will we ever really know what’s going on?

Cool

I really liked the book, very nice and straight forward. Though people underate the book as no secrets and lore bits. Scott did this book perfectly, filtering the details that we should focus on for theorys. Besides, those haters probably thought this book was gonna reveal everything. Why would Scott ever do that?😜
