I thought this book could have been better than it was. Something was missing with the fifth installment of The Family Business. I waited patiently for the release of this book and I was disappointed that it appeared to be missing that winning formula of the other installments. I admit that it is a quick read BUT the plot wasn't good and somehow silly in content.

I finished this book a while ago, but am just now writing a review. To Mr. Weber, you're better than this and you know it. There are not many authors out there of your caliber and you have already set the bar of our expectations. I don't know if it is who you collaborated with on this series are not, but it definitely missed the mark of the bar you've set in the past. I don't normally write unfavorable reviews, but feel compelled because so many of us look forward to reading the next adventures of your writing. Lord knows with all of the sadness going on in the world today, we need something to take us away even for little while with a good juicy book that we've become accustomed to receiving from you. Stay healthy, safe and be blessed Mr. Weber.

I give it three stars because I expect way more from Carl Weber and his family buisness franchise. It was a nice twist to throw in a triplet but that's about it. If there is a 6th installment I hope that it's like the first few books.

I've been a Carl Weber fan for more years than I can remember and I've read almost all of his books. This installment of the Family Business was the absolute worst! This book DOES NOT pick up where Family Business 4 left off, its almost like an independent book that has nothing to do with the other Family Business books. The book is more about a former El Paso sheriff than the Duncan family. All of the elements that make the other Family Business books great, intriguing and successful are missing from this book. Family Business 3 was pretty bad, Family Business 4 reeled fans back in but this book was a mess. This inconsistency is not what Carl Weber fans are used to and not what we expect. This book was so bad I'm seriously considering just washing my hands of the franchise from here on out.

Absolutely amazing read. The twists and turns. OMG, wasn't expecting that. Highly recommend. Will not disappoint..... Impatiently waiting on next installment

Whew a third baby, I didn’t see that coming. All the twist and turns had me rushing to get to the next page. I have to admit Carl Weber has done it again. The Duncan family prevails, I can’t wait for book 6 and so on to see what this family gets into next. Thank you Carl for always writing wonderful page turners. I love the Duncan family.

I read all 5 Series of The Family Business. I must say this one started off slow. Some of the characters could've been left out. I really wasn't impressed with this book. I hope 6 is better and comes out much, much sooner.

I’ve read all the books in this series and this is my least favorite. The Duncan’s usually bring more action to the table. The plot seemed to be all over the place. I’m not naive enough to think organ harvesting isn’t as real as human trafficking but it’s a little far fetched to think that all these people where coincidentally connected in some way. Also, why didn’t we hear anything about London and Orlando, it’s like they didn’t even exist, and they had a lot going on in the last book. Lastly a long lost baby......why? Was that necessary? Maybe this should be the end of the series.

💗Good read. But I'm totally confused on why the story did not pick of from book 4. I was disappointed about that. Like I've been waiting to knw why Lc went to jail. What going on with junior and his girl. So much was left un said.

I'm giving this 3 stars because I feel like he wrote this book like he writes the show (which I'm not a fan of). In my personal opinion his books were great before the show. I love everything else of his besides this and "Rio". It just doesn't read like the first 4 of the series or even grand opening 1 &2. I'm disappointed and hoping future books go back to what they used to be.

I loved this book but I feel the story was rushed. Carl Weber is a great author. I know all the Characters involved but the Marie and Kia i don't like their characters. What happen to the girl that visited Vegas in jail and was his girlfriend in Family Business 4. PLEASE STOP MESSING WITH THE STORYLINE.

Another unexpected story. Mr Weber, you are amazing at this storytelling thing. No way was I expecting this story, all the glorious different avenues that all eventually lead back to the family. You give us stories I haven't heard of before that are oh so interesting and unexpected. It just goes to prove that no matter how much money or power you have, things can happen that you wouldn't expect. Trying not to give away any of the story but wanting to complement and commend you on a story well told. Can't wait to see what happens next, hurry please!!!!

I just finished reading family business 5, I am a fan of both Carl Webber, and La Jill Hunt, but I was dissapointed, after reading the whole series I thought # 5 would continue were #4 left off, so many questions unanswered, and for me this story line was a little far fetched borderline "Ridiculous", if there is a book #6, I might read it but I am not anticipating it's release date.

I was a little turned off about the use of the word Ni..... it's sad to see that there are still people in the country who feel they're superior because of there race. The fact that KD was actually selling body parts of innocent people was beyond anything I could imagine. But as always Carl Webber had me turning the page with anticipation of what's next.

Another one out of the ball park! Carl Weber did it again a real page turner. His introduction of new characters and their development was excellent. His art of storytelling makes the characters come alive. This novel had it all intrigue, suspense, action, and love all woven into the story like a fine piece of tapestry.

Loved this book it brought up some real issues that needed to be brought to the forefront. Thank you for that part. If KD gets out of jail one more time and I know he will he better die. I love Rio he has really stepped up and showed out. Nevada is not so lil any more, I can’t wait to see him grow. Please let him break the cycle on the type of women the the men have been choosing.

This book was good but not quite like all the other family business books it was something missing ,but from the ending I can tell that it will be a book 6 and I will be waiting

This was a very good book. Nevada has had his first taste of the Family Business. I see KD is going to be a problem even from jail. I can't wait for the next installment. I loved the part about Roman. These books just keep getting better. loved it.

I have read all of the books in this series and eagerly waited for this book. The first half of the book was a bit boring, I understand about trying to build momentum and excitement but I was disappointed. The later part of the book was what I wanted. I enjoyed it. I do wish that we do not have to wait so long for the next installment especially if it is like this one.

Anything that Carl Weber or LaJill Hunt writes is going to be ridiculously amazing! The Duncan family never ceases to amaze me. With the way the story ended, there has got to another installment. I'm sure this is not the last we will hear of KD Shrugs

This was a good and interesting book. Carl Weber books are always a good read with interesting stories. It was a page turner because you wanted to know what was happening next. It also had a plot to it that kept you in suspense.

Unreal. Carl Weber has done it AGAIN. Seasoned with the talented Hill Hunt. Expect the unexpected. Trying not to give it away, but you will NEVER see it coming and I promise you will NOT be disappointed!!!

You won't want to put this book down until the end. It is full of excitement and. drama. I highly recommend to adults who love excitement and drama. I have read several of Carl Weber's books and they never disappoint.

I really enjoyed this installment. I lost a lot of sleep finishing this book but it was well worth it. I was happy to see RIo, Nevada and Vegas at the forefront of the story. Need more.

Why was this book so short and I paid more for this book then the first four and KD was getting on my nerves . It took me longer to read this one because it was not as good as the first four in my opinion ...

I'm usually on the edge of my seat reading the family business series but this one did nothing for me some of the characters we could have did without I hold the family Buisness saga to a certain level of standards and I feel this one missed the mark

I loved it from start to finish. A real page turner. However, the proofreader should be fired because there were too many grammatical errors which at times, took away from the story. But as I said, really good story.

The fifth installment was beautifully written. I would highly recommend reading the other four books before diving into this one. There will definitely be a 6th installment. All of the characters are developing

If you are a fan of the family business you will enjoy the read It was a bit over reaching to tie 3 people’s stories together but they pulled it off Of course they left a cliff hanger The only thing about cliff hangers is don’t make us wait to long

This series is everything! I love the characters, action, and suspense. So many twists and turns. Page turning, seat gripping, nail biting story! Highly recommend!

I have read better. This one didn't really do it for me. I did like the fact that they brought some light to the way of how things is going on in the world today. I want to speak more on that subject but this will be a spoiler for the readers. Overall the book is not a bad read.

I have been following Mr. Weber for years. And Book 5 definitely was worth the wait. Full of action, suspense, pain, reality, commitment and love. A must read.

The twists and turns in this book had me reading it in a day. Literally could not put my tablet down. Soooo looking forward to what no good KD had up his sleeve and reading LC and Chippy best him again. Don't know how Carl Weber is going to top this one though but definitely looking forward to finding out!

As usual, the Duncan's don't disappoint. I loved this installment and can't wait until the next one. Carl Weber is one of my favorite authors.

If this was the first book I read of his I wouldn’t want read his others! This book was drawn out and no real focus. I love Carl Weber but this book wasn’t it! I need a redo.

I’m a fan what can I say. he only received 4 stars because I have so many unanswered questions like....... Rios boyfriend Peter where is he. Where is Niles Monroe ? Hopefully others will agree with me. This book had many plots all coming together watch out he keeps the reader wanting more!!!

I'm a fan of Weber. I'm also a fan of The Family Business series of books. Love, love, love the Duncan Family. However, this one didn't live up to the prior books. A lot of moving story lines to end up with a rushed, sloppy ending. I am guilty of being one of those fans who kept asking for the next book. Sorry, I wasn't being patient. Staying tuned.

Waiting for Family Business 6. KD is an obnoxious character. Like a bad rash. He keeps coming back. I have read all of Carl Weber novels.

Carl and La Jill have an amazing tale that holds your attention for hours. I've read the entire series and feel like I'm a part of the family. Looking forward to the next drama from the Duncan family.

Great plots and twists in this most recent Duncan Family exploits. It was definitely too short. I was at the epilogue before you know it. Other than that, great read. Thanks again Carl Weber.

This was another good book . It kept my attention all 3 hours it took to read it. I would have loved to find out more on Roman's story. Other than that I cant wait for Book 6!!

OMG. Can't wait for Family Business 6. Got it on the day it came out. Started on my long drive the next day and finished it on our drive back.

It was ok. I prefer Carl Weber write the book. It seems as if when theres another author included it's not as well written.

I have been following the books from 1 to 4 I enjoyed those books It book 5 ,I read The sample and it didn't grab like your other books. The book takes me to the Duncan's going back to reveal life after the twists and turns that Engaged me to buy the books in the first place. The sample for book 5 didn't grab me enough to want to spend $13.00., Where are the characters I have been following from book 1 through 4. from the other books.London the crazy uncle,his kids oh! Mrs Duncan named Her children by different states. There is no hint I no a lot of them died off in the book any of those characters. They to went on with their lives. Pls make sure to continue those characters that's Glue for your writting. I pass on book 5 going by the sample I will wait for book 6 No disrespect ment with my comments here,you make it so what it do.

This book was slow to start and the plot was something that just wasn’t really interesting after it had all came out. The stuff that was interesting was given very little time to, and the ending (the part you would have really wanted to read) was rushed. Without giving anything away, I’m disappointed that I didn’t get to experience LC’s reaction at the end of the book once he learned the information from Chippy. That was an important scene that should have been in the book and they really could have cut some of KD’s lack of drama to fit that scene in.
