Manga Version
Continues to be very faithful (almost 1:1) to the light novels. This volume in particular also coincides with the ending of the anime. Those of you coming from there will want to start with volume 6 for the continuation of the story.
Fun manga to help with the back story.
Totally worth reading if you enjoy the devil is a part-timer. It is so much fun to read and enjoy the art work. The anime makes so much more sense after reading the manga and the light novels that go along with the story. It lays the ground work for a new and beautiful character that is my personal favorite.

Curse you Amazon. Just let me give it five stars and that’l be it but noooooooo. TWENTY WORDS REQUIRED. Gosh.
Season 1 content
I really love everything from this story and having an alternate format to the anime is nice. There really isn't a lot of new content but there is just enough that it was still it's own experience.
Great Series
Really funny and great characters that you can relate to. I think all of us live the poor life sometimes and it's nice to see it represented in this manga.
Huge Fan
I love Fairy tail, first pop figure, love it, happy and Lucy are next!
Anime is over
For clarity, because Amazon tends to mix the manga and light novel reviews together, this review is for the MANGA version of 'The Devil Is a Part-Timer.' For further reference, the picture on the cover is Chiho in her work uniform with Maou behind her in a yellow tank top and blue boxers. If you're like me, you became aware of this series through the anime of the same name, and you found it hilarious. However, the end of the show seemed kind of rushed, and the last episode really didn't feel like it was in the right place. But you loved the series anyway, and was disappointed to find out there was no more. Well fear not, for there is plenty more!...Sadly, this manga doesn't have it. No, wait! Before you fly off the handle, let me explain. This volume covers the last few episodes of the anime. Maou confronts Sariel, Suzuno has a crisis of faith, and Emi gets her clothes torn off. We even get the filler story about Urushihara getting scammed and spending too much money. The only thing missing here is Urushihara and Olba's involvement in the final battle, but that's because that was made strictly for the anime to tie up lose ends. Those who are reading the books in this series should realize that Olba has a much bigger part to play. Anyway, the art is good, but at times this feels like reading the cliff notes of the story. Yes, you can still tell what's going on, but we kind of miss out on a few details. Maou's fight with Sariel is extremely short, for example. But the biggest problem with this is Suzuno/Bell's crisis. While it covers the bare bones in the manga, if you're read the book or even watched the anime, you know that there's more to it that the two or three pages we see here. It kind of sad that they had to cut out so much of what drives her character to this point, but the important parts are still there. We still get to see her struggle, we still get to see her break down and cry, and most importantly, we still get to see her have a change of heart. The artwork for these scenes, especially for her eyes, is great. Also, we get the all-important scenes of her freaking out when Maou takes his clothes off, as well as her and Chiho fighting over who gets to feed him. 'Adorable' doesn't begin to cover it. The filler story that comes afterward does do something that I have been waiting for for a long time. It starts to make Urushihara more than completely useless and a loser. He tries to help in his own way--it backfires horribly, of course, but he tries to help. Which is something that makes me happy, because the guy really is so pathetic that I want him to grow some. It's not much here, but it's a start. It should be in the next few volumes where we'll see actual growth from him, if the light novels are anything to go by. Bottom line: If you're hoping this volume finally gets into stuff the anime didn't cover, your hopes are dashed. However, this is the final anime book, so to speak. The next volume will be packed with new stuff, including a new character, and possibly start giving clues as to what is really going on in this story. If you enjoy the previous volumes, there's really no reason not to pick this one up. Think of it as a refresher before getting into the new stuff.
Best series ever
Still waiting for it to get here, but I've already read the light novel part this takes place at. This series is by far the best and most addicting series I have ever read, and that's coming from someone who things don't stick to very well. I love love love everything about this series, from the currently running 5 light novels I've purchased, the 7 manga, and the 5 spinoffs I've also purchased, overall sinking well over 200 dollars into it, and if I got the chance I'd back the original writing crew and sink another 200 into it easily. That's just how much I love this series. Keep it up guys, can't wait for the 6th edition of the light novel!
Super
Ich habe die ganze Buchreihe eigentlich für meine Tochter gekauft, lese sie aber auch selbst, weil sie einfach toll sind. Super Geschichte und tolle Bilder.
Very funny
This vol was super funny. It came faster than expected, instead of June 1 it ended up coming on May 26. No damage.
