Let me begin by being transparent. I have had the pleasure of studying metaphysics from Athena since 2016. Yet, that being said, I am totally impartial in this review. I am so thrilled to get this book. Very informative and organized in a simple yet powerful way to help one make rituals. The graphics are lovely and add to the magical quality of the book. The information is priceless. The size is perfect to take on travels, or if you choose to do rituals in the woods, beach etc it's easy to transport. A perfect gift for anyone who believes in magic.

I think this book is fantastic!! This is my favorite one of the 3 that Athena has written. Everything is organized by month/season and you can find exactly what you are looking for fast. I keep a journal with all of my monthly rituals/ceremonies so this will be a great addition to my practice. It is easy to follow and read so anyone who may not be that familiar and just starting out on their journey will appreciate this book also. This book is amazing! I love how it is written to flow with the months of the year. Very easy to understand and so nice to have an all inclusive book of rituals. It would be fun to do some of the rituals in a group of friends and them some are perfect to do in sacred space by yourself. The world right now is missing ritual and this book is a nice segue into a new future. Thank you Athena for all your beautiful wisdom.

I love this book because it gives you month by month details on how to achieve mindfulness through affirmations, invocations, and ceremony. It has rituals for all the Sabbats plus a lot of extra prayers and invocation on the months that do not have a Sabbat. The Book of Blessings and Rituals: Magical Invocations for Healing, Setting Energy, and Creating Sacred Space also has projects for you to do, plenty of arts and crafts, and it gives you an invocation for the four directions. There is some beautiful art work in the book. The pictures look like water colored paintings with the most exquisite colors. The Book of Blessings and Rituals is perfect for me because I am a busy mom and this book gives clear and concise directions on how to do my spiritual practice every month. It is budget friendly, easy to follow, and I can engage with my children on some of the rituals. Plus it is small enough that I can take it with me on the go!!!

I am a newbie. I was looking for rituals/spells that tell me HOW to do it. This book gave only general information. No spells or rituals. Lots about setting up a sacred space ( which is not what I was looking for). Complete waste of money for me.

This book is so beautiful, inside and out! I love Athena’s books so much because they’re always loaded with helpful information. She is by far one of my most favorite metaphysical authors. The reason I love this particular book so much is that it’s specifically more aligned to the blessings and rituals side of my personal practice. I have many different “spellbooks”, but the majority of the time in my day to day life, I have no need to perform complicated or long drawn out spells, but I still feel the need to incorporate SOME type of ritual in daily activities, or even just on a weekly or monthly basis. This book is wonderful for that, because I can just flip to a month, a season, a day... and just take some time to sit with myself in gratitude or meditation. It’s also a great book to leave out on the table for my family to flip through! It’s not some big scary book of spells and hexes that you have to hide when gramma comes to visit, lol! I like having it out in the open for my husband and kids to look at. It’s a great conversation starter for when I have like minded people over for us to talk about spirituality. While I buy a lot of stones and perfumes from Sage Goddess, this is the first book of Athena's I have purchased. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas, but, of course, I had to look through it when it arrived. It is amazing! I love the artwork. I admit I am a total newbie when it comes to rituals, grids, and whatnot, so I love the way this book is laid out by the month, with information about each month, the Invocations, the Blessings, the projects - it is all so clear and easy to read and understand! I am so in love with this book I'm going to have to buy myself a copy now - and more than likely buy the rest of Athena's books!! I think this book would be great for beginners like me or the more advanced. If anyone is on the fence about this book, I highly recommend it! it.

I was expecting more like a book of complete rituals. Instead it reads more like a devotional with a short reading of the day/month depending on how you want to read it. As a devotional, it is very nice. As a complete ritual book, I'd look elsewhere.

This book has great details in it for the pictures to the information it gives. The book it broken down by months with each one having different holidays and rituals for the month. If you have every watch any of Athena's rituals or live feeds her book is written with the same energy. You can get a lot out of this work or very little depending on how much you want to take from it. This book is very magical and I would recommend anyone to use it.

Athena does it again! An amazing book from cover to cover. Ceremonies for every occasion, arranged by month. Whether you’re new to spirituality or have been practicing a long time, Athena brings a fresh and vibrant perspective. Her ceremonies start with opening of the circle, calling in the Directions and giving the reader an opportunity to learn how to direct energy, while giving thanks to the Universe and enjoying the process of ceremony....it becomes a celebration instead of a stuffy ‘ritual.’ Athena’s knowledge infuses the book with gems of wisdom and personal recipes for oils and spiritual tools, that she’s personally developed over her expansive career. There was a great deal of consideration given to the artwork and overall design of the book too, resulting in a book that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is informative. This was a joy to read and another home run for Athena.

This book is everything I’ve wanted for a long time when it comes to blessings and rituals. It gives not just solid information on what each holiday or season is about, and how you can live in the turning of the seasons, but there’s also practical ways you can use the information. I love the perfume/incense blend information, and the crafts are something I will continue to do each year. I’m so grateful this book exists, and only wish it had been around when I was first finding my path. It’s not just a book for beginners (although my beginner self would have loved this book 20+ years ago) - I’ve been practicing for over 2 decades, and still found new and beautiful ways to engage with the cycle of the year thanks to this book. And the illustrations (based on original photos) are breathtaking.

The info and how to in this book is amazing. The ritual work is easy to follow. My only complaint is the tiny print

If you are expecting to learn something from this book, go elsewhere. Just a show off of holiday rituals.

I absolutely love this book. When I heard that this book was being created I was waiting patiently for the release. This book is great for beginners and seasonal healers alike. It is written in a clean and well organized structure that is color coded on the edges of the pages matching the beautiful raised graphic on the front cover. The Introduction explains how to use the book as a general guidance but to always use your best judgment in your own practice. What I love about this book is that I read it from the first page to the last page but as I go through it randomly I find more information that I didn't grasp the first time. I also love the 25 Projects included in the book. The size is wonderful for easy transportation. Some pages have blank space under a prayer or passage. I plan to use this space for personal notes or drawings as this book will become a part of my medicine books (collection of sketch books and journals). I highly recommend this book. Blessings

Honestly this book is her best work. I own her other book the ultimate guide to chakras.. and this new book it has a energy to it that is sensational. I am in love with it. When I first got it I read it from cover to cover I felt so intrigued and connected to this book even though I didn't know much about it I love the ceremony said she wrote about for each month I feel like it would make me grow as a spiritual person. Out of all her books this is my favorite by far mostly because it connects to me so strongly just by being near it and I also bought her blessings candle from her website and that smells amazing as well Amen and a'ho so it is.

Dr. Athena Perrakis has a spirit that is deeply healing, loving and graceful and this book is a reflection of her inner beauty. With richly painted pictures and melodic prose in the invocations, the reader is instantly transported to a world of serenity and deeper meaning. While the book is split into months, the practices shared are universal. For example, January is themed around new beginnings and I'm finding it powerful to use the ritual as to start new chapters in my life. Additionally, the rituals are written in a way that you can use items that you already have instead of rushing to buy other materials in order to re-create the experiences here. The book is perfect for any level of devotion and shares transformative practices that you can use to manifest and create a more magical life.

I bought this book after it popped up on my IG feed, a fellow witchy gal like myself mentioned she loved the book and I had to see for myself. I feel like this book was made for an eclectic witch like me, someone who has knowledge of all types of folklore magick, loves astrology and dabbles in lunar rituals. I feel as if I found a mentor in Athena...and I’m now itching to purchase more of her books. I received the book today, 9/3/19, and immediately went to the September section of the book and can’t wait to practice the Mabon ritual.

This book is excellent! Concisely written blessings and rituals, all with historical and/or mythological context. I've already done the blessings and rituals for july and august and have found them to be nurturing and growth-centered. This is a great book for anyone who gets overwhelmed with all the information out there about all the holidays -- do yourself a favor and simplify by getting this book and seeing where it takes you. A'ho and on we go!

The illustrations are beautiful and gives the feeling of reading her special grimoire. Everything is placed in chronological order by months so you can skip to the relevant rituals of the season. This is a beautiful book. The pictures are so captivating and colorful! The text is easy to follow the way it's written you can pick it up and start where you want to. Since this was released in July I started reading about August. Easy to sink into to get your day started or to unwind at the end of the day.

Athena once again proves herself as not only an amazing teacher, but also an incredibly powerful writer. I have been learning from Athena for over a year now and have been looking forward to this book since she mentioned during class one day. So happy it is available! This book is gorgeous, and the love it was written with is just oozing from these pages. Athena has really put together a nice little offering with this book and there are many rituals and projects outlined that I can't wait to make a part of my own magical rituals! I love how it is broken down into the months of the year. The artwork is gorgeous as well! My only complaint is that I wish the font were larger. It's not a huge issue, but the print is quite tiny if you are someone concerned with that. Thankfully, I have bifocals! Thank you, Athena for this gorgeous book that I will read over and over again!

Congrats Athena for another spectacular book! I love this so much! I have read all of your books and I will always buy them! They are so detailed, and the rituals, pictures, and information is honestly like having you teaching in you me classes. I love that it's separated by month and I can always go where I need to be. The picture are beautiful, and knowing that they were all done by your team and then the picture was taken for the artist to draw them for this book is shocking! I love you, your book, and your team. Now this is a book that I am enjoying not from starting at page one, but from the date of delivery of the month I received the same. I totally fell in love with this book at Samhain. For those of you who love ritual and invocations, get this book!!! Athena is a storyteller. The way she writes, her words are the essence of her true magic. This book is a keeper to be added to any collection of metaphysics, ritual, magic.

Love love the book. I have all of her books, but this one is unique in that it’s laid out month by month so all you have to do is follow your month and start there. Each month is particular in its relevance to that month with information, crafts to do, history, rituals etc. I can’t think of anything that’s left out, and in true Athena fashion she delivers more info than you can imagine. I actually haven’t found any book like it, so it’s going by my bed and not on the shelf so that I can keep it handy to follow month by month. One last thing, it can fit in my purse to pick up supplies needed or to read ahead in the car, so that’s always a plus! Buy it, I’m sure you’ll treasure it as much as I do. She’s a gem of a teacher, all pun implied! Happy journey!

Awesome book, Very informative, pretty illustrations , well written and very happy with the product

This book is set up based on the solar calendar starting with January and includes rutuals and acknowledgenent of many cultures' traditions for acknowledging the natural changes in annual seasons. It is as much a good jumping off point for those who wish to create their own rituals as it is a ready-to-use and fully fleshed out year of rutuals and practices of gratitude and blessings.

As a student of Athena’s, I couldn’t wait to receive this book and all the wisdom I knew it would have inside. It did Not disappoint! Knowing I can progress through the years to come with great advice with her blessings and rituals, I feel stronger and more confident in my growth ahead. I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this book but when I got it was I blown away. It was so beautiful and magical. It has very simple straightforward rituals and offerings that any one can do, even with a limited amount of time. I took it to my Goddess Sacred Circle with me and the women all wanted to get their own copy of it.

This is an awesome book that breaks up the rituals by month and offers different options that make them easy to follow. I've only done the rituals for August, but it was wonderful for intention setting and just overall helpful in promoting positivity and love in your life. I recommend this to anyone who is new to chakra healing, rituals, and crystals who is looking to start working rituals to better their life and the lives of those around them through spirituality. It also is very well priced and easy to understand, so you know you aren't inadvertently harming anyone through improper techniques and intentions.

This Book is Beautiful,Gorgeous and the best part is even a country bumpkin like me can understand it and feel the Love that has been put in to all of Her books!!! The bad part I would love to have a signed copy but certainly can’t come to California at this time! Oh forgot my purse or bag weighs a ton because I take them with me everywhere I go!❤️

This lovely book is just what I’ve been looking for! Pure intention to honor nature’s majesty and the many blessings we receive throughout the year. Perceptive wisdom to see the gifts of each season, month by month. Nothing spooky here; Dr. Athena has simply shared beautiful rituals and practices to mark and honor times and seasons. If you’re sick of being on the treadmill of existence, then get this book. You’ll find a way to slow time down and reintroduce everyday magic back into your world. I relish being able to return to the wisdom and knowledge of our ancestors, and I think you will too. Blessings and Rituals is a perfect book for us to learn from.

Athena Perrakis does it again with another excellent book. This book is great for both beginners and those well-practiced in magical rituals. For beginners, it offers guidance, explanation, and easy to do and follow rituals for the sabbats and various holidays that can be celebrated throughout the year. For those with more experience, it offers guidelines for ceremonial rites and rituals that can be altered, built upon, and/or inspire other rituals. In conclusion, this book is perfect for those just starting out with their magic practices, or for those who need a little inspiration to add new aspects to their established rituals.

Wasn't what I wanted

Been a solitary practitioner for 46 years and have many books on all kinds of subjects. But there is always room for more. And I am so glad I added this one. It's always good to find new rituals just like as an herbalist, to keep up to date with new botanical findings and recipes to use. Thinking about buying another for a granddaughter who is finally wanting to learn more. This would go great with the Scott Cunningham's book I recently gave her.

For inspiration, guidance and practical advice, this book is a true gift. I am appreciative of how the book is laid out by month, and I am enjoying how the blessings are guiding me towards manifesting the positive. I find myself referencing the book often. It’s lovely.

This book of Athena’s is very well written. The rituals are very easy to follow and provide all of the information with items needed to perform each monthly ritual. It likens the days of old when paying homage to the elements was a normal pastime of gratitude. This is what I liked the most! Also each act is easy to understand and accomplish. The history provided helps you to understand why each ceremony was so important to the people of the times and monthly practiced. I love it!

Really great book with practical blessings and rituals. I love that it goes chronologically throughout the year so there are several things you can do each month. From rituals, craft projects, teaching how to smudge, usage of oils, crystals, herbs and more, this book really covers it all. Great for beginners, but still very interesting and useful for those who have an established spiritual practice. You can tell Athena put her heart into this book! Lovely book reminding us how precious the seasons are. We live in a time when we don’t even see the full moon. This book reminds us to stop and appreciate nature by performing very detailed rituals that anyone can do. Athena wrote an easy to follow guide for the whole year! I’m loving this book!! It’s simple yet holds so much. I love reading but I don’t like feeling like they could have summed up 3 pages into 1. This book does a fantastic job of being right to the point but providing you the information that you need at the same time. It gives you what you need in an easy to understand style. I can’t give more praise to it it is a must have in your library! I’ve only been studying under Athena for 2 years now but she makes sure you understand what you need to know in the way you learn.

Athena uses words like nobody else, with all of her books full of wisdom she always knows just the words to use to help everyone understand everything with ease throughout her work! Just received my copy today and couldn’t wait to start thumbing through it! It’s more than what I expected...gives significance to every month of the year! And the illustrations are simple and beautiful! Very thoughtfully laid out to include suggested Projects, Invocations and Blessings for each month. I can see myself expanding on her suggestions! This little book is for EVERYONE! Will be ordering more to give as gifts to family and friends! Blessings to all!

To be honest, I love all things "Sage Goddess", so I am little biased. This book is beautiful and has great, easy-to-follow rituals. I especially like that you can go on the Sage Goddess website to buy companion items. Highly recommend!

I really liked this book for it's set up and the information. It is divided into months and gives information and activities to help you understand the season and become actively involved in experiencing it first hand. It was smaller than I expected which actually makes it easier to use.

Upon opening I immediately knew this was a solid book choice. Great info without unnecessary fluff. The artwork is beautiful. Very happy about this purchase.

This book is perfect for anyone wanting to be more in tune with the natural flow of life. Whether you have no idea what to do, or even if you already use your own personal ceremony book, Athena is full of a balanced wisdom that anyone can appreciate. I really connected with her style easily bc as a child (I'm almost 40 now), I had a passion for studying the different religions of the world. She is genius at smoothly surpassing the constraints of religious sects, which really helps to get you in touch with your roots & what it's all about anyways...Universal Love.

As soon as you open this book, you feel Athena's energy shining out of the pages. I love the combination of candle magic, blessings and rituals all in one great sized book (easy to carry in a purse). Love it!

I really enjoyed this book, i have many books with the same information that go into more detail though.

Its was so much information from Crystal's, Altars, seasonal rituals, crafty items, blessings, and prays. They whole book give you inspiration and makes you feel more and more blessed and helps you to reach inside of yourself to set more goals, reach for your intentions, and grab for them.. if you didnt know that manifestation was real and it works, you will by the end of this book!!!
