Great way to get multiple kid books into one! Love it!

Got this through a subscription box. It’s nice to have several stories in one book instead of a ton of tiny books. Easy to read for my first grader so I might recommend for someone younger. Still a lot of fun!

My first grade daughter loves this book to read! We have ordered all of the color beginner book series! It makes a great book to bring along on a trip or have around at the house. I tell my daughter that she needs to read a story everyday on her spring break before she can watch tv… The stories were perfect for her level. I read some of the harder ones first and then she was able to read the rest on her own after that. 10ish dollars for 6 great stories with a hard cover is great!

My daughter is learning to read, and loves this, she thinks she’s reading a huge chapter book, so it has made her much more confident in reading. She reads it front to back now. Ordering her another! Great quality too

The pictures are smaller and fortunately as this is a compact book are the children did enjoy the books their favorites is of course Fred and Ted. We loved the books, however we wished the book was a bit more bigger since the pictures are compacted

Great book for kids

This has 6 different stories, two of which feature the dogs Fred and Ted, which are favorites with my littles. The Fish Out of Water is a classic story of a boy who learns about unintended consequences of over feeding a pet fish, and the Flap Your Wings has a toddler-sized mystery. The other two stories aren’t as popular with my girls, but overall this collection keeps us busy reading for quite a while.

Purchased as bedtime stories for my 1.5 and 3 year old daughters. They like the all you can read buffet style story books. We have several of the “BIG” Seuss books and have liked them all so far. My favorite story is “Flap Your Wings” about a bird family that accidentally raises an alligator. My 3 year old is particularly fond of the Fred and Ted stories. Cute book collection that I believe was only about $10 which I fantastic for everything you get. I recommend this for toddlers especially if they are animal lovers.

My 5 year old love these books. The stories in this book are well written and my daughter really enjoys them

My kids like to pick a story for bedtime and it’s great that the different stories are the cover so they can chose from there and I don’t have to clean up so many books from them deciding.

I've always liked Dr. SUESS. There's always a lesson to learn in each story.

My 2, 4, and 6 year olds all love these books! The fun pictures are fun to look at, and my early readers love telling the stories themselves. Love having this collection all in one place for bedtime stories!

Great book and perfect for my beginning reader. I remember some of these stories from my own childhood.

A wonderful addition to our book collection. My son loves the Snow story and the Fish one most of all. I hadn’t read any of these as a child, so I enjoyed reading them for the first time too. Well bound book, made to last.

My toddler loves these books and loves even more the BIG Book of Beginner Books series as it creates a loophole in the "One more book" bedtime limit of nightly reads. She isn't literate yet so she points at the pictures on the cover to choose the book she would like to read. It's a great selection of books. While the appear long, the reads go by fast (perfect for bedtime) and are entertaining enough for parents to read over and over again. We love it but just be aware that as a gift you might be torturing a parent that is now exposed to six books rather than one

I purchased this book after buying the Bog Blue Book of Beginner Books from Walmart. These stories are excellent for beginner readers because they have the right size font, easy sentences and themes (love the rhymes) and the books use the most frequent sight words which builds the child's recognition of them quickly with repeated reading. The price of the Big Purple Book was also $4-$5 less than the price I paid for the Big Blue Book. I would highly recommend these. The stories in this book are DRA level 16 & 18/Guided Reading Level I & J.

Kids love it

Bought this book along with two others of the same name (different "color"). I have a 5 yr old daughter and a 6 year old son that are learning to read and practicing with the reading that they know. They love these books. I would definitely recommend to anyone with young children that are wanting some beginner "first books". I actually remember some of the books included in these sets from when I was very young. So apparently these books can have a very long lasting fond memory for your children. My daughter just keeps wanting to read them over and over and each time she gets better and better.

Love these books! So great for travel with littles that are old enough to look through/read paper-page books since there are multiple stories in one book. Seem pretty sturdy as well.

As a grandmother of a 5-year-old kindergartner, I highly recommend these very colorfully-illustrated and rhyming to help read, easily sounded out worded books with lovely children's stories. I cannot recommend these books enough, will be buying more, have two for now. Lovely books for children and helpful!!!

I love these books individually and I suppose I should have read the add more carefully. I was under the impression that all 6 books came in some type of case or together in a large cardboard type of cover, but it is one story book with 6 stories in it. Non the less theses are great classic stories to have. I again assumed that since it said beginner book that they were the hard cardboard type, like for toddlers but it comes with normal paper pages which is still great. Overall, you cant go wrong for the price and if this is what you are looking for (based on my coments) then this is a great buy...

Reading is an essential skill and these books are fun for kids to listen to and to then learn to read themselves. They don't find reading a chore with the fun stories

Our family absolutely loves all of the "My Big Book of Beginner Books." We were able to purchase all of them except for one. They really helped my kids as they started to learn to read. Big confidence boosters and such a good price to have 6 books in 1. Even my oldest child (age 9) still re-reads from time to time.

A favorite! We read this in preparation for first grade and it was great. Very easy to read and entertaining, my 6 year old loved all the stories inside. I would highly recommend it for summer reading or just for any day.

My daughter received this book as a gift for her 3rd Birthday. It's been 3 months and she still wants me to read from it every night. She loves choosing among the stories and most of them are a perfect bedtime length. I wasn't sure about the format but she loves it. This book has received more use than any other gift she received. Love P.D. Eastman, too! His books are the best for beginning readers.

My kids and I love these stories and the best part is, they are all together in one book so when I know we're going out to eat or to a doctor's office and there could be a long wait, we just bring this one book and the kids are entertained for the entire time. And really, who's better than Dr. Seuss?

My son loves the set of the Big Beginner Books by Dr Seuss. We read them for bedtime and now he "reads" them to me from his memory. So cute! I definitely recommend these books. Easy to read, understand and my 3 year loves them.

Easy reading

I am so excited to find all these stories anthologized. I have the individual ones but these are much easier to transport and store on a shelf.

The Big Book series are my kids favorites. They still read them, even though they are way past beginner. We all enjoy re-reading anything Seuss/Eastman.

This whole series gets points for (a) being fun; (b) being compact--you can take just one with you when you go on a trip, and still entertain your kid for days.

I was very pleased with this purchase. My grandson will enjoy hours of being read to and being entertained by the characters in the storyline.

Nice variety of stories, makes reading time fun.

My burgeoning reader likes the stories but the font is terrible— the swirling serifs bump into each other (like an “f” and “i” run into each ish t and almost look like a lowercase “h” with a dot). I wish it was just a simple, non-serifed font.

I am a teacher and I purchased the following 5 books - The Big Purple / Green / Red / Blue Book of Beginner Books and My Big Book of Beginner Books About Me. I believed that they were BIG books!! The size should have been posted as fat not big, because I do have other books of this series with different titles and they are BIG!

Book had watermarks and stains on certain pages.

Great bargain, but he ink used to print this book smells toxic. Couldn't give it to my toddler to read. Very disappointed.

Great selection of books. A fish out of water has always been one of my son's favorites. Snow is probably the easiest of the books to start with. I did not like some of the sets, but this one was worth it. I also bough the green set (in fact i would have kids read the green set first).

My with had these books as a kid and when she found this collection she knew that she need to get it for our children. So we got it this past Christmas. Our oldest loves to read he loved getting this book.he enjoyed having us read it to him. I never read them before it was a treat to read it.

My 2.5 year old is a little bookworm, and he cant get enough of these books, so I purchased this one to add to his collection. We went through it in three nights and now we've started over! The stories are just awesome as are the illustrations. He loves pointing out what the characters on each page are doing! A must have for any child!

Never wrong with Dr.Seuss

I bought this book for my 4 year old son. He loves to read it to me and to himself during quiet time. Teach my dog 100 words it the only harder beek for early readers. We also have the big blue book which we love. I look foward to buying more Big "Color" books as my children learn to read.

My 22month old son got this book for Christmas and requests at least one of the stories daily, usually more. The language used is simple, he is able to read many of the words. He loves to help read the stories. Cute stories, great illustrations.

A little more advanced than some of the Seuss book collections.

Dr. Seuss is always a great book for any classroom. To have all these books in one book makes reading them extremely easy. Love it!

What could be better than a Dr. Seuss book? A collection of stories in one book! Old favorites and a couple we don't remember will make a great gift for one of our grandchildren. Encouraging reading is always a good thing! Having a book to call your own makes it even better.
