Great book. Jan Berry is so knowledgeable! I have her several of her books and have started my own soap business with help from her books. I highly recommend this book to anyone who’s looking to make their own beauty products.

I bought the book in August 2019 and I waited until April 2020. Once I received the book I reviewed and I love it. The pictures, the recipes and the organization. It worth the waiting. I have not had the chance yet to make the recipes, but they are written in a simple language and easy to follow. Thanks Jan Berry. I also have the soap book too.

I have followed followed Jan Berry's blog for years. This book is a treasure trove of all the best all-natural lotions & potions. The instructions are easy to follow, the ingredients readily available through mother nature or the world wide web and the results are predictable. I cannot recommend this book enough.

Wow, we're literally the first words put of my mouth when I went through this book. It has SO MANY recipes but also info on the ingredients in them, places they may be found, substitute ingredients and more!! I have been wanting to get into making my own natural beauty and everyday items and this book is definitely going to be my go to!

So, I gave this book a 4 star because I really do not like the binding. It has a premier binding so the book is to stay open when using. I did not know this at 1st, but when it came to my attention, still don't like the binding! Looks like it will fall apart or tear the pages! But it hasn't. But everything else is a 5 star and beyond! So many useful recipes, and the materials and ingredients are easy to come by or grow yourself, for the most part. Just a beautiful book. Easy instructions and even warnings on when not to use certain ingredients for use on children and pets. I already do many recipes of my own using all natural ingredients and plants found in nature, but this did give more ideas and information. Love her books! Just can't say enough!!!

My favorite book! She’s written some great recipes, easy to read and thorough. I wasn’t familiar with some of the plants/herbs she uses, but they are easily accessible and I’m excited to expand my repertoire! Great DIYS!

For those like me who are new to making our own natural homemade products (aromatherapy, salves, balms, sprays, etc.), this book is very helpful. Ingredients are helpfully illustrated, beautiful photography, steps are enumerated clearly--there's so much here! Also like that I can mix and match and swap out ingredients. Very impressed!

I've had a ton of books in this homemade health and beauty genre, and this is really my favorite of all time. The instructions are clear, the presentation is both visually appealing and useful, and the recipes themselves are awesome! This book goes beyond the expected recipes to offer products you can make for your home and even your pets. Jan Berry is clearly a gifted teacher in addition to being a gifted crafter. I'm so glad I came across this book and I can't wait to check out more of her work!

Simple easy to follow recipes, great tips and TONS of information. I would have paid double...and I just ordered another for a friend. Love it!

Do Not Read It unless you plan to get addicted~!!!!! I am thinking about trying to hook up with the author to write another book from a different part of the U.S. and local herbal remedies that we have discovered. We could add another 200 recipes to this book~!!!!! LOVE IT...LOVE IT...LOVE IT.~!!!!!!!

I’m in love with this book! It is packed with recipes and products to try. I haven’t made anything yet, but I can’t wait to get started. I am greatly impressed by the amount of recipes packed in this book— everything from skincare, pet care, to home cleaning products— fantastic!

Love jan Berry her recipes are doable and i like that she infuses flowers or herbs into thd recipes i do notice she has several reciped in the book from her other book but also alot of her newer work i cant deside what to make first tberez 2 pages of table od contents a sect. Great pics but I was expecting more information from the book. Overall a good book.

Once again, a waste for me. Concentrates on infused oils with flowers and herbs. That’s great for some but far from simple.

Excellent book for beginners especially. The flow of the material and information provided is great while keeping things simple. She is very good at providing ways to make her recipes or take what you learn to make it your own.

I love this book! The recipes are simple and easy to find. There was only two ingredients, violets and vanilla bean, that are either expensive or one reference had sold. Each chapter has a "make your own" with some basic formula and info on ingredients to choose from. I recommend this book!

Very informative and detailed. This will break down everything from the tools, base ingredients, different processes and the pros/cons of both, and super simple recipes. The fact that it encompasses soaps, body butters, bath bombs, soaks, and things between allow you to really branch out. This is both a great starter book as well as a guide to trying something new. I would recommend this book to both beginners and novice home product makers.

This is the perfect book for ‘lockdown’. So many gorgeous recipes for making homemade products. Easy to follow with beautiful pictures. Jan is a very inspiring writer. I have several of her books now and also participated in her online soap making course. I would highly recommend this book if you have a desire to produce wonderful homemade products. This is one of those rare books where you find yourself thinking, you will actually make most of the products. You won’t regret your purchase. Very good value.

Fantastic book

I’ve been following the the nerdy farm wife ( Jan Berry) for a long time now, I have made many of her soaps and very much enjoy her products and her blog. I thought it time to have her physical book. A beautiful book it is! The Pictures are beautiful! The recipes are plentiful and easy to follow, she’s got everything from laundry soap To lip balm to deodorant to her wonderful soaps. I would highly recommend this book.

The book is great. Wonderful recipes inside. The pictures are beautiful too. It will be an investment in products if you plan on making the recipes but that’s the point I guess. A hobby. An investment. The only downside is the spine/binding of the book. The pages feel like they could come out at any time. I didn’t include a picture as I gave it as a gift.
