The Best Word Search Book Ever Made (So Far): 115 Word Searches In Large-ish Print For All Ages!

Some puzzle books just repeat the same old over and over. Not this one. Some puzzles are huge and would take hours to solve. Others are tiny and could be knocked out in minutes. Every puzzle seems to have a theme and some even come with some trivia. It even offers some word searches that don't use every letter. I found one puzzle that uses only 4 letters, which makes finding the words you're looking for MUCH more difficult. It's a nice touch. But one of the things that makes this book stand out is the connection from puzzle to puzzle. If you start from the middle, you might be missing clues from the last puzzle. It's unlike any word search book I've seen before, and it's very difficult to put down.

This book has an extreme wide variety of puzzles. Most of them are pretty large, but some of them are smaller. The subjects make it fun. Some of the word searches are outright crazy! Overall, a very fun and challenging book. Not like the others out there. Well worth the price!

I was given this book by a friend who knows that I love word searches. I did the whole book in one weekend (I know, excessive) but it was great. Not too easy which is what I like and writer definitely threw some concepts i didn't see before (did i mention that I do a lot of these books). VIVA one threw me for a loop. I won't give away the page, but the writer threw in a hidden funny word towards the end (not on the answer key) that puzzle folks will appreciate. Anyway, I have since bought 2 of these myself to give to my nephews and plan on getting one more for my sister-in-law. Absolutely worth the price!

Purchased for my Grandfather who is 90 and likes to spend his time doing these. Puzzles were nice and large. Only negative is that some of the words were a little small, but the puzzle itself was large so didn't matter.

I love the variety in the word searches- I think the small one might actually be pretty challenging. Great topics, too. This will be great for our long road trip!

Bought as a gift. He i bed doing these and literally spends hours at them. I can't keep up!

I'm generally a crossword puzzle guy. Whereas most word searches lack any sort of 'mystery' or 'puzzle' aspect, Mr. Guido's book is imbued with marvelous problem-solving opportunities at every turn. These searches go beyond the mindless herky-jerky motion of my head over a grid, which is why my neck is sore right now. They're for your brain too.

There were a lot of totally simple pages many with only six words, some pages with the use of a few letters over and over and over. Challenging maybe to some but not relaxing to me but my biggest objection is for the maker to inject his on opinions in a "off the cuff" advice to users. I'm tired of political bias opinion directed in this type of format!

Bought as a coffee table book but I have found myself engaged in the clever and funny puzzles! Well worth the price for anyone, not just word search fans.

I’m normally more of a crossword person, but I took a chance on this book to try something different - and it was well worth it! It’s a great way to wind down the day, and the riddles throughout are a nice bonus. Highly recommended if you’re looking to throw a little variety into your word puzzle routine.

I’m giving this three stars because the description says “largish print” and it is definitely not a large print book. I bought it for my 92 yr old mom because she loves the puzzles that are a bit different and they’re hard to find. She won’t be able to see these. I’m going to keep the book for myself because everyone else gave it such great reviews and hey, I’m always looking for fun. Just sad for my mom.

First off, the print quality on this book is really nice. It’s well-bound, the paper is sturdy and can stand up to any writing implement, and the text is very clear and readable. Everything you want in a book that’s likely to take some abuse over time. Better yet, the word searches themselves are very fun and creative. It’s not just “find these words” or “find as many words as you can” — most if not all of the word searches give you puzzles or riddles to solve, too. These are often really fun and interesting and they keep the book from growing mindless or repetitive. Highly recommend!

Indeed, this is the greatest crossword book I have seen and the one I have most enjoyed! It’s absolutely addictive! Beyond the general mindfulness that crosswords bring, the themes and trivia in this book add jolts of curiosity and “ha! I didn’t know that!”-moments that are sure to keep you entertained. The puzzles vary in degree of difficulty, though I’ll note I’m still in the first half of the book. My hardest part for me has been deciding if I should work the puzzles in the order presented or according to my curiosity about the theme. I’ve even split the difference - in the first two puzzles of artists and athletes, I looked for the names in order of preference! This book is perfect for anyone who loves crosswords or loves trivia. It’s even perfect for that person in your life who doesn’t like crosswords, just likes being a know-it-all!

Not your average word search book!

The author seems very full of himself and I found his "hidden" agenda a bit much. I do word searches for fun and some of the very large searches in this book are fun but trying to guess and alphabetize words without seeing them in print may tax the minds of many. I have other things to do besides wrack my brain for words that aren't even in my vocabulary.

Can’t really say if the book lives up to the title, but it does have a nice variety of puzzles in large-ish type for those with impaired eyesight due to aging, etc.

Not your ordinary word search book, but very interesting, and I will warn you some pages are very difficult. If you are up to the challenge, and not in a hurry to finish, you will love it. I'm hooked.

DON'T BUY THIS BOOK!!!! The review says "large-ish" That is misleading. I have to not only wear my glasses but also use a magnifying glass. So TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!!!

...but that's a good thing. It's probably been 15 years since I did a word search, but when I saw this was the best one ever, I figured I'd give it a shot. So far, it has not disappointed. I was always a fan of Jumbles, and this is stimulating the same neurons in some puzzles.

This is a great selection of word searches. I really like the little twists most of the puzzles have. It adds another layer to the puzzles and keeps them fresh while still sticking to a pretty traditional word search style that is sure to please. It’s also a great looking book and with the holidays right around the corner this book would be perfect for a Secret Santa, Stocking Stuffer or just a nice little gift.

Most word searches are fun but easy. These are very challenging. There are all kinds different puzzles with tricky words. Definitely recommend for word search fans.

This is a great book! I have never been one to do any sort of puzzle. I decided to give this one a try and I love it! It's a great way to pass the time and challenge your brain. They start easy, but get harder. The puzzles also have secret messages and other hidden meanings to guess. Fun!

Love this word search book as it is unique to the others I have done in the past. It is creative how some of the puzzles are related to others and yet there is a large variety overall. It is definitely no ordinary word search book. Keeps you interested and engaged so you don't want to put it down. Would highly recommend! I purchased this word search for my elderly mother. It stated in ad large-ish print. My mother could not work the puzzles even with a magnifying glasses. The print is small.

This is not your average word search book. Each puzzle is uniquely challenging and so much more than just finding words! I don't think my description would do it justice, so I would definitely recommend buying a copy (or several) for yourself. So much fun!
