This is an exceptional Art of ... book! The selection of art and how it is put together is beautiful. I also loved reading it! The description of the thought processes, tests, and changes that the animators went through gives great insight into the creation of this movie. It is a joy to read and look at.

This book is full of gorgeous concept art, but it is primarily visual and does not include the in-depth text that I expected. Even though other Disney art books share substantial details about the character development and storytelling processes, this book focuses on costume design and setting, sharing specific, self-contained quotes from creators without the detailed text that would synthesize aspects of the movie's development into an unfolding story. I had hoped to learn about the different ideas that the creators considered before deciding on this one, and I expected a behind-the-scenes look into how the writers developed their narrative, but this book didn't go there at all. I picked up details here and there that came through as context for other things, but my curiosity is still unsatisfied. This is truly just an art book, and even though the quotes provide plenty of insight into the maturing characters and the kingdom of Arendelle, this wasn't nearly as eye-opening or interesting as the Frozen and Tangled art books. Still, even though this book did not meet my expectations, I enjoyed it. I'm still giving it four stars, because it is a solid and enjoyable visual guide that is full of lovely art, interesting costume designs, and artists' insight into the deeper meaning and character symbolism behind the intricate details in different dresses, cloaks, traveling outfits, and capes. The sections on the visual settings are also interesting, filled with appealing art and details about how the artists researched naturally occurring vegetation from Norway to incorporate real-life details into their complex, richly animated fantasy land. I enjoyed this very much for what it was, and I will definitely look through it again.

I was able to deal with the situation because I have a decent paper cutter, but some of the pages still look rough and unfinished. I wonder if other people are having this problem. I don’t collect Disney books, but loved both Frozen movies and really wanted to know more about the making of them. I would recommend the book for anyone who loved the movies.

Perfect for getting cosplay details just right. Only thing is that it doesn't have a detailed page of Anna's Pjs like Elsa's. The art is beautiful! And I love the little notes on the sides.

I bought this since I fell in love with the movie and was hoping to make a costume for Anna, especially the expedition outfit. This shows not only the storyboarding and designs, but explains WHY some of the choices were made. The art work is STUNNING, no other word for it. This is more for older teens or adults as children would find this very wordy.

I usually purchase these types of books to see more original concept sketches on the characters and this one did not disappoint. I definitely wouldn't pay full price for the book, but the discounted Amazon price makes this a worthy addition to any behind-the-scenes series on your favorite movies.

La saga di Frozen non delude davvero mai: se avete amato il secondo episodio al cinema, non potrete non amare questo libro che vi porterà letteralmente dietro le quinte della realizzazione del film, con disegni inediti dei personaggi, dei costumi e delle ambientazioni. Oltre a numerosi retroscena, scene eliminate, personaggi mai apparsi, e tanto altro ancora.

Da ich absoluter Frozen 2 Fan bin und auch Artbooks was tolles sind, durfte dieses nicht fehlen. Der Aufbau, die Bilder, sowie die Hintergrundinformationen sind wirklich super! Generell ist es wirklich liebevoll gestaltet. Es geht um viel um die Gestaltung einzelner Charaktere und Outfits, aber auch um die Entstehung der Story vom zweiten Teil - wirklich schön und interessant! Zudem sind das Cover, wie auch die Seiten sehr hochwertig und machen das Buch zu etwas Besonderem. Das Englisch ist auch sehr gut verständlich! Kann das Buch einfach nur weiterempfehlen!:)

La verdad que es una pasada de libro , tanto las ilustraciones como el libro están muy bien hechos, te cuenta todo el proceso de la película , y como han hecho todo artísticamente hablando, cabe decir que esta en ingles eso si , pero la verdad que merece mucho la pena si quieres adentrarte mas en el mundo de Frozen! Se lo recomiendo a cualquier fan de la saga eso si .

Und mit den richtigen Englischkenntnissen erschließen sich dem Leser auch sehr interessante Einblicke in die Entwicklung und Ausarbeitung des Films. Von mir ne klare Empfehlung für alle die eben mehr über die Schöpfung dieses Meisterwerks erfahren möchten!

Si eres fan del mundo frozen te encantará, está en inglés. El embalaje es un poco endeble y debido a que los transportistas van a saco se chafaron un poco las puntas del libro. Por eso no le doy cinco estrellas.

Para todas las personas que sean animadores o que pretendan serlo es muy recomendable que vean el trabajo tan maravilloso que se hace cuando quieres crear una película de animación. Recomiendo al cien por cien este libro.

Das Buch ist viel früher angekommen, als angekündigt!! Das hat mich total gefreut, da ich schon Angst hatte, dass es vllt. nicht vor Weihnachten eintrifft. Das war aber nicht der Fall. Es war über eine Woche früher da :). Das Buch selbst ist wunderschön gestaltet und durch die transparente Seite, auf welcher Elsas Kleid noch einmal detaillierter gezeigt wird, eine wahre Besonderheit. Sowas sieht man in der Buchwelt nicht oft! Es ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert!

Wonderful book! There was only one page where there was a weird fold with a thick line, so a little bit of text on the dark page was a bit blurred.
