Love the Series

My 7 year old Grandson and I have been making our way through all the Magic Tree House Books. He was so excited when his first grade teacher started reading this book to the class and at the same time this was the one we were reading at home. He wanted to stay up late so he could finish it before school the next day. In addition to the reading the books we have logging our progress on the Magic Tree House website, magictreehouse.com. Not only do the kids get additional activities for logging how many pages they read but there are missions with virtual badges as rewards. Its a great way to combine computer skills with reading.

Amazing collection of books and highly recommend

The book was in brand new condition and as described. We have been trying to fill the gaps in our collection and this is what we needed. This series of books is absolutely amazing and for boys or girls. I highly recommend to any parent looking for chapter book collection for beginner to moderate readers in elementary school.

New favorite

My 6 year olds new favorite book of the series. A little spooky and lots of adventure mixed with fact. Love this series!

I love this series of books because it's a learning book/history book/and fantasy too!!! 5000 ๐ŸŒŸ I love this series!!!!!

Jack and Annie

All of the Magic Tree house books are great and this one is no different.

Thumbs Up!!

I bought this for my grandson when he was reading these books. When I asked him if he like it he gave me the thumbs up sign. So I guess it was good. I never got around to reading it. I wanted to see what it was about because he begged for this book every time he saw me. It was the last time I held onto a gift just to give for a special event. I realized he could have enjoyed it well before I gave it to him.

My kids loved it!

My 11, 6 and 4 year olds love this series. The chapters keep them on the edge of their seats.

Sunset of the Sabertooth

This was a simple, yet, a very interesting story that takes Jack and Annie into the Cro-Magnon era of the human race. Both Jack and Annie race against time in order to find the missing third "M",which stands for Mammoth. They receive a bone fragment from the mammoth elephant and return to Frog Creek.

Five Stars

They are great books and great for his imagination

The Magic Treehouse books are truly magic, my 8 year old son loves them and I can't keep up with ordering them. I have purchased 4 at a time and he reads them in days. They are great books and great for his imagination!

Bent product

The ink on a few pages were very light and hard to read. The front cover was bent when removed from the package.

Love the Magic Treehouse books

My son and I can read a Magic Treehouse book a night. We actually have to make ourselves put the book down to stop and eat and work on math. I would totally suggest these books for any child. If your child isn't enjoying reading, these are great books to get them going!

My kid loves magic tree house

Great story. We liked the diagram at the end, and really enjoyed the saber tooth. The ending of the story was neat.

This series is a must!

My child eats these books up! Because she couldn't put The Magic Tree House series down, her reading skills soared through the roof. If you have kids they are a must on your bookshelves.

:)

Magic Tree House series is great for 3-5 graders and for ESL. The sentences are short and easy to understand, yet they incorporate challenging vocab for kids to learn. I highly recommend it.

Great series for 2nd grader

The Magic Tree House series keeps the child's interest and is written at a great level for a young reader.

This book was not as exciting as Afternoon on the Amazon. It was not very suspenseful and there was not much chance to make predictions.

Great read

Awesome. I loved the sorcerer who helped Jack and Annie. He must have been Morgan. I loved the Sabertooth tiger!

My son was a happy camper!

My son is seven and was so excited to start reading the book over Christmas break. Easy reading and understanding. Thank you

Love Magic Treehouse

I love reading Magic Treehouse books with my son! They are exciting and accurate. As a teacher, I think they are great too.

This time, Ice age.

This time, Jack and Annie traveled in the ice age. They have to find out an item to help Morgan. In the ice age, it is too cold for them. But they found out clothes made of fur. This story can teach to me about words concerned with ice age.

Magic

We love reading about the adventures of Jack and Annie! And now big brother can read to his little brother.

Very short books in a very long series at $5 a pop!!!

My granddaughter loves this series but I was shocked at how short these books are. I will find another series to buy for her.I don't think these are worth $5 each.

Will not purchase again

The book is bent and does not look new.

Magic Tree Houseยฎ #7: Sunset of the Sabertooth by Mary Pope Osborne

07/23/2018, 6:00 p.m. Second Review By Patrick H. Okay, so hey folks. I just got back from the skin test at the doctor's office. I sorta screamed and yelled a little. But let's push past that into the review of Sunset of the Sabertooth. Also worth noting is that I will be making something on Googleยฎ Sheets called the all-new "PatrickScoreยฎ". It will be the rating system for all the books I reviewed so far, and later on, other interesting stuff. First will be the date I wrote the review, then when the book was published, the title of the book, the author [and] illustrator, [maybe] the name of reviewer, and finally, my score. In the book, Jack and Annie are both heading back home from the Yยฎ when Annie suggests that they go check out the tree house to see if it is back yet. Jack replies no, considering that they're wearing only bathing suits. But she ignores him and goes anyway. And just so you know what's going on in the series so far, they already found a moonstone in old Japan and a mango in the Amazon rain forest. And if you haven't already noticed, all those words start with the letter M. When they get to the Ice Age, Jack wants to go back, but Annie reminds him they can only leave until they find the third "M" thing. They see some strange people ontop of a mountain, and Jack reports that they are Cro-Magnons, a group of hunters. Once they climb down the rope latter, they go inside the Cro-Magnons' cave to get some warmer clothes. In exchange, Jack and Annie gives them their swimming goggles and towels. Then, Annie sees another cave, but once Jack reads in his book that there's cave bears in there, you don't have to be a genius to figure out what's in there. After that, they see some mysterious underground cave full of carvings of animals. They get trapped, but is rescued by Peanut the mouse, who brings a sorcerer with it. The sorcerer rescues both of them, and gives them a mammoth bone. On their way back to the tree house, they have to face off against a Sabertooth Tiger. Annie urges Jack to play the mammoth bone, and soon the monster stalks off into the snow. And that's the end of the story. My final score is 2/5 stars. See you next time!

A Review by B.O.

A Book Review By Bryn Okeefe Book Title: Sunset of the Sabretooth Author: Mary Pope Osborne Sunset of the Sabretooth is about two kids Jack and Annie and how they travel to the ice age in a magic tree house. In the beginning they get to the ice age. In the middle they find a sabretooth. In the end they went home safe and sound. One of my favorite characters is Annie because she has a good attitude. Another of my favorite parts is the tree house because it is magic. I think people who like adventures would like this book because there are a lot of adventures. I also think people who like history would like it because there is a lot of history in it. Now go read this book and have an awesome adventure!

My Kids Love These

Fun book for kids that gives a brief peek into life long ago. It's extremely oversimplified and the climax of each story is always well, anti-climactic, but my kids enjoy them and it's a fun way to tie in a little adventure into what they're learning in history or science.

PART THREE OF THE STORY ARC.

"Sunset of the Sabretooth" continues the story arc began in the last book, "Afternoon on the Amazon " and is the third book in the four part story arc called "The Mystery of the Magic Spell." Jack and Annie have located two of the four items needed to release Morgan le Fay from the spell she is under, but there are still two to go. Jack and Annie return from swimming to find another open book in the tree house...they find themselves transported to the frozen tundra in nothing but their bathing suits! They are taken in by a tribe of cavemen and provided food and animal skins to wear. In a cave they come upon some drawings on the wall that will lead them to their next clue as well as a deadly trap! This book certainly gave Jack and Annie a harrowing adventure. Annie's impetuous nature put the duo in danger by wishing them to the frozen land unprepared for the hardships of cold and snow. This was a step up I thought from the last two books in the four part story as we build to the climax in the next book. Once again features great illustrations by Sal Murdocha.

Wonderful book that really explains about the past

"Sunset of the Sabertooth" is truly a great learning book. Jack and Annie go to the time of the Ice Age, where they find the first humans on the planet, which are called Cro-Magnons. Jack and Annie are very cold, so they find a cave to stay in. But not for long, because there's a wet dog smell and snoring, which confirms that there's a cave bear in there! Well, read the rest for yourself. Also, if you want my opinion of the book, this is undoubtley one of Mrs. Osborne's best. Also, there's something I want to tell all the people who read this book. On Encarta, I found out that the first Humans lived in the epoch that's the beginning of the Ice Age, namely the Pliestocene Epoch. I thought that it would be impossible for humans to live way back then, but this book showed me that Encarta was right, and gave me additional information. If you're doing research on the Ice Age, this will be a book you don't want to miss. Enjoy!

The Magic Tree House books are a MUST READ collection for all children. Unlike many other series for young readers, the Magic Tree House should be read in chronological order to best appreciate Jack and Annie's travels through time as they go on various missions; which are typically completed in four parts. Parents and educators will enjoy going along for the ride as much as their students! My daughter is a teenager now but she still gets excited when she sees a new tree house adventure has come out.

all treehouse books are a great read w introduction to suspense and thrills / adventure in a language and method that's perfect for little brain. Also has subtle learning about cultures and other natural things while reading a story.

Flashback

I read these books as a young kid and 20 years later I caught myself thinking of it. Still a thoughtful classic!

More informative with a better storyline

I started reading this series to my 4 year old son and recommend it to anyone who wants to broaden their kids adventure geography. The research guides accompanying many of them are very informative and concise...rather they are a must have. This one has a better storyline compared to the rest and covers various l aspects of the Ice Age Apart ..starting with the habitat of the CroMagnon man and how that they made their clothes from reindeer skin and lamps for visibility by hollowing out stones, how they had to hunt other animals like wooly mammoth by making traps in the ground as there were no supermarkets in the Ice Age. For a younger audience (4-6),these books are informative .

Kids loved this book

Kids loved this book. It's short enough that you can read to a 3 year old and they will be able to stay interested, but could be perfect for an early reader. Story kept me interested, but nothing scary.

I'm glad I read it for my class report

This is an interesting book. I'm glad I read it for my class report. One of my favorite parts in the book is where Jack blew a horn and the sabertooth ran away. I found it interesting that the sabertooth could eat a mammoth alive. My favorite character was Jack. The book was full of adventures.

MY BOY LOVES READING IT

My 1st grader hates to put it down, he would rather read Magic Tree House books, than play video games. He even reads them to his class and explains the story for show and tell. In his kindergarten class the teacher would also let him read the Magic Tree House books out loud, not to give her a break, but to promote reading out loud. Great books!

5 year old LOVES it

My 5 year old daughter LOVES this series of books. When we sit down at night to read before bed, we always get "Just one more chapter, please." And they are easy enough to read that you have read half of the book before you know it.

They are lots of animals.

Love the animals. Great story book for first graders. New words were fun to learn as well new adventures. Good

A Kid's Review

The book was really nice because you got to learn about things and animals and people. This book is good for grade 1-3. This book was one of the best books I ever read. I learned that people in the ice age used a mammoth bone flute to scare away sabertooths. This is why you should read this book.
