Great coloring book.
Great book. Worth it. Stress reliever.
Nice Images But Print Is To The Binding & Pages Are Not Perforated
I like a lot of the images in this. They are mostly open (vs intricate) so more suitable for colored pencils which is good considering the pages are not thick at all. Aside from not being thick, they are also not perforated & the image goes all the way to the binding. I like to be able to remove pages to send colored to my Mom. My Mom & I swap colored coloring pages because we live long distance (1500 miles apart) & we write quick little letters to each other on the back of each finished page for a bit of snail mail love. I also like to be able to make copies onto thicker paper if I'd like to use heavier media to color &/or to mix my media. I can't really do that with this books pages. I need a straight razor to get the pages out. It's a really stupid & lazy way for Rock Ridge Press to design a coloring book. I guess none of the editors have ever colored. If it wasn't for the enjoyable images, I would have rated this lower than 4 stars.
Oh my gosh! This is so much fun!!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
I got this coloring book because I've definitely been stressed and the idea of relaxing and coloring sounded like pure bliss. There are a number of pretty scenes, all illustrated by artist Jenny Palmer, that feature pastoral tomato fields, secret garden enclaves, and cozy nooks and crannies. I took a picture of a few uncolored ones, plus a gorgeous terrarium that I finished coloring after a few hours. The scenes range in difficulty. Some are much more complicated and would be more of a time commitment. My terrarium was one of the simpler drawings. Paper quality is excellent. I used gel pens and the color didn't bleed through at all. Also, I love that the drawings are staggered so you can use the back of the previous illustration to blot if need be. This coloring book is highly giftable but it's honestly worth keeping for yourself as a way to wind down. Definitely recommend pairing with a mug of your favorite tea or a glass of good wine. Cheers! 🍵
Nice nature pictures to color, but pages are not removable and images go into the binding
This Stress Relief coloring book for adults was available to me through the Amazon Vine program. It has been a long, stressful winter. What immediately caught my eye with this book were the colorful tulips on the front cover, reminding me of spring in Holland, Michigan (known for their Tulip Festivals). Happy memories. This book contains 35 cheery, nature and garden-themed images to color. These uplifting images on single sided pages can help one destress, especially when listening to soothing music and burning an aromatic candle (or whatever helps you relax). Illustrations vary, with some having more detail than others. A downside is that the pages are not removable and some of the pictures go to the binding. Perforations for tearing out the pictures would be nice.
Great But Two Problems mov
I took off one star because of two problems: the pages are not perforated and there is no border around the pictures. I like to use colored pencils because I like to lay one or two colors on top of each other. Sometimes the picture comes out great, and I like to tape it up on the walls of our free abandon computer room. And if the papers do not have any borders, it is difficult to color the edges if the picture because you cannot get your pencil into the crack of the book. That adds instead of decreases stress, The pictures vary in the amount of detail. I prefer more detail, I can easily get lost in intricate mandala and that makes me concentrate on the pattern and helps move me away from whatever is stressing me at the time.
Fun coloring book with beautiful images!
I'm loving this garden themed coloring book! The pages are varied difficulty levels and themes so there is a nice variety to choose from. The pages are also only single-sided which is perfect. If you are using markers to color these sheets, you do want to place an extra sheet of paper behind the page so that you don't have any bleed through. The pages are not perforated so they are difficult to tear out without ripping the image. That is the only downside that I could find with the book. I don't mind because I prefer to keep the pages in my books rather than tearing them out but that could be a downside otherwise. Overall this is a really cute adult coloring book and the garden theme is perfect for Spring.
One-sided pages. Botanical images.
The pages of this coloring book are one-sided. I like that because, depending upon what you’re using to color, there could be some “bleed-through”. But if you’re using colored pencils, then you shouldn’t have that issue. There are thirty-five botanical images. Some are more detailed than others. But it’s a very nice assortment. The one thing I wish that this book offered would be perforated pages, so you could easily remove the drawings. If you’re using something like gel pens, you may wish to place a sheet of cardboard behind each page. I do not show where this coloring book was printed.
35 Pictures to Color
This has 35 garden themed pictures. These range from back yard variety ... exotic hanging gardens of ancient times. Sometimes there are animals, like deer and rabbits. Even a garden gnome. Some are flowers ... other haven't a single one. Some are big and some are detailed. They kind of had the feeling of using one of the "outline" programs on a photo. I have one of them and several gave similar results to these pictures. These are nice, but not so much "patterns" as just detailed coloring. I liked probably 20 or so of them quite a lot.
When adulting needs a break
I got this for my 14 year old and somehow my 11 year old beat her to it. This is a great adult coloring book . . . the cover is thick matte paperback. The pages are single printed so you don't have to worry about markers leaking through to the other side. The pages themselves are thick and sturdy so you don't have to worry about them tearing. The binding was strong even when laying it flat. The images are interesting and have a nice mix of detailed and larger spaces on each picture so you can adjust your coloring to your mood. A great book!
Relaxing, fun coloring book for adults
This book’s name is “Stress Relieving Coloring Book for Adults” and it’s a suitable name. Coloring in this book really is fun and relaxing. There is a wide variety of the types of pictures included. The designs are detailed enough to be interesting, but not so intricate to make them difficult to color. I did get some bleed-through onto the back of the picture, but it was fine because the pictures are only on one side of the page. I’m really happy with this book and it’s renewed my interest in coloring to relax.
