I enjoyed this book because it has to be a factual documentation for the best shooter in basketball history. Author Clayton Geoffreys goes to great lengths to prove his intent and that was to establish Steph Curry as the best shooter ever. It seemed to me almost every detailed box score all the way from college to the NBA was included. Frankly, after spending a great deal of my life playing and coaching basketball I grew tired of reading the statistics, but that should not deter anyone from buying this well researched book. The stats were needed to verify the story the author wanted to tell. I was so pleased he mentioned the name of Paul Arizin who was my favorite NBA player back in the early years of the NBA. I met Arizin once and told him I was having trouble developing a jump shot. He said, "Keep working, it will come around." It did as I was at least able to earn a college scholarship and earn three varsity letters in college. At any rate,, If a reader and fan of basketball wants to learn about the best shooter ever then read this book as it leaves no doubt who the best was especially in the NBA. Congrats to Mr. Jeoffreys for compiling such a detailed report on a man who is now a basketball legend. Dr. Norman Jones author of Growing Up in Indiana: The Culture & Hoosier Hysteria Revisited.

I bought this for my grandson and he soaked up every word. My grandson is 9 years old and he read this book and now he has more knowledge and can join conversations when we are discussing Stephen Curry. Sometimes my grandson shares info from the book that others did not know about. I like Stephen Curry's upbringing and I like the man he has become and he is a good role model for my grandson so I was delighted to get this book for him. Thank you.

I purchased this book for my 11 year-old grandson who LOVES Steph Curry. It was very insightful as to his early childhood and upbringing, core value system, and overall basketball acumen. Because it was also age appropriate and not overreaching, my grandson finished it in no time flat.

Easy to read and was a quick read for my 7th grader. The facts about Step Curry and his rise to greatness were exciting to read and inspirational because it wasn't always as easy as it looks for him now.

This is the sort of book works for two types of audiences. For the casual sports fan, the author hits all the highlights of Steph Curry’s career, while at the same time he doles out plenty of stats that avid basketball fanatics crave. From the introduction, it is clear that the author did his homework. I was familiar with Curry since his college career, but now that I’ve read this book, I can honestly say that I’ve become a fan, not only of his skills on the court, but his actions off the court as well. One of the things I really liked about this biography is the author’s approach. He gave me the facts, which allowed me to form my own opinions about Steph Curry. Next time I’m in the mood for a sports book, I’ll be looking to see what Clayton Geoffreys has to offer.

However, I prefer the Projected Ranking of LeBron James in the 2013-14 Book NBA’s 50 Greatest Basketball Players of All-time because it has more “creative” stats and charts. 50 Greatest also has outstanding and unmatched player summaries and analysts. I got this book to keep a nephew busy during a family weekend. He really enjoyed learning more about one of his favorite basketball players. A couple days later, I picked the book up too out of curiousity. I’m not a huge basketball fan, but I got a kick out of discovering the human side and background of this elite professional athlete. I appreciated the author’s writing style. He tells Curry’s story in a straightforward, concise manner that is easy to follow (for either a younger person or even someone not as familiar with the game, such as myself). Highly recommended!

I am not normally one for Sports Biographies, yet I have some incredibly dedicated and devoted NBA fans in my family – a fact that had me buying this book when I came across it. I am always up for learning new things, and discovering the backstory of a star seemed the first step in that direction. “Stephen Curry: The Inspiring Story of One of Basketball’s Sharpest Shooters” is just that, an inspiring story – one that any fan will enjoy reading, and quite a few non-fans (like myself) as well. A short read this is none the less and appealing one. The son of a NBA shooter, Steph Curry had the NBA in his blood, and his rocket trajectory to fame since his entrance in 2009 shows it. This unauthorized biography covers Stehp’s early life, the high school years on through his College career at Davidson then finally to his draft and the way he has changed The Golden State Warriors. Fascinating and almost fated, this is a story of a mad MEANT to be in the NBA.

Awesome book about Steph Curry--the best thing about this book is that it shed light on his Davidson experience and his non-basketball related commitments. Stephen Curry is a role model and this book really brought that to light. This book is clearly not just for basketball fans, but for anyone looking to read an inspirational story.

This book not only does an great job of giving you and overview of Stephen Curry's career, but also looks at his background. You get a sense of some of the factors which led him down the road to the NBA. I found this to be well written and interesting.

As a Golden State Warriors fan this was a great read! Stephen Curry's story is one everyone should get to know. Although he didn't have a "tough" life growing up as the son of an NBA player, he had to overcome adversity when it came to game of basketball. This book paints a good picture of his life and journey in the NBA! I recommend this for any Warriors fan but also for any fan of the NBA as Stephen Curry isn't just a star, but an anomaly to the game that's evolving with him and the Warriors at the forefront!

This is so repetitive and boringly written. It read more like a stat sheet than a biography over most of the book. I often wondered if this was being written by a robot or an an actual human.

I bought this for a student. He is an all around athlete, so I wanted to show him there was books he would like and learn with. He has loved the book.

If you are interested in stats, this is your book. I would have appreciated more on Stephen curry the person. As a result this book did not deliver for me.

I wish it had more specific quotes from stephen Curry himself....lots of young aspiring athletes read these and look up to NBA players. this book is very inspirational. this helped me look at the way i look at my goals in life in a completely different way. this book helped me break down my main goal into many separate small goals that i achieve one at a time. i also learned that practice makes perfect, really give it everything you got, and to never ever give up in your dreams bc if you do it can turn into a nightmare.

I have not read this. It was purchased as a gift, and the recipient has not yet read it. It looked fine as I paged through it. It arrived in time and the recipient seemed happy with the book.

Even though I'm a Los Angeles Lakers fan, I decided to read Stephen Curry: The Inspiring Story of One of Basketball's Sharpest Shooters because I had read Clayton Geoffrey's other work on Steve Nash and enjoyed it. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this short read. The book covered a lot of neat things I did not know about Steph such as the fact that he was not heavily recruited by any major Division I basketball team and that he is a devoted follower of Christ who not only displays his unselfishness on the basketball court but also off the court. This is a well-written work that shares the incredible story of Steph Curry's rise in the NBA. Since my Lakers are out of the playoffs this time around, I'll have my eyes on the Warriors as they try to make a splash in the 2014 NBA Playoffs.

I love Steph. The book was weak.

This book is basically a history of nearly every game Curry has ever played. So many statistics that it becomes downright boring. i was unimpressed.

My son and I are avid basketball fans and really looked forward to reading all about Steph Curry. Unfortunately we quickly became bored as this book is so heavily burdened with scores and stats. In fact, the chapters on Steph's career at Davidson read like stats sheets but failed to provide anything more. It seemed as if the author really didn't know much about this part of his career at all. In fact, I knew a lot more and had to embellish what was written in the book to make it more interesting when reading it with my son. The sections on his NBA career were a bit better, but, overall, it did not seem as if the author really conveyed much more than the scores of the games and Steph's stats. I am not sure why the author thought it important to provide EVERY stat for EVERY game. The sections on his personal life were by far the most interesting part of the book (although there wasn't much detail here either). It is a shame that the author didn't take the time to properly do his research or understand what it takes to write a biography. There is so much more to the incredible story of Steph Curry that is never highlighted in this book. Lastly, the editing of the book was terrible! I have never seen so many errors in a book before. Overall it seems that the author and publishing company are just trying to crank out books on NBA stars without regard to making it interesting for the reader. I don't think we will be reading more books from this author.

Disappointed in that it looks like it was just printed on a home computer - the quality of the front pic is pretty bad and very fuzzy. Nonetheless, it seems to be a well-written and currently up-to-date book, and my son is enjoying it.

I am buying books for my class. The product as described from this seller said the book was 200 pages. As I looked at the book to give to my student, the book was only 93 pages.

Terrible, inaccurate facts and a poor biography of curry

It was kinda short and unorganized but there were some interesting facts and stories.

Very poor writing (grammatical errors, etc.) The book goes game by game through EVERY game Curry has ever played, including middle school, high school and pros, giving ALL of the stats. There is no insight into Curry as a person, his character, etc. I purchased this book for my 12 year old son, who is a big Curry fan. We tried reading outloud together, and both found it so tedious that we finally gave up.

We bought this as a gift for a huge Steph Curry fan. The book arrived and it is only a 100 pages in length in really large font. It looks as if it were intended for someone in elementary school. In fact, we were embarrassed to give it to our friend and purchased him an additional item along with a disclaimer for the book. The age range should be made clear in the description.

Disappointed in this book, just a massive collection of numbers.... stats, percentages, win/loss....If you open to any random page, half of it is numbers! I bought this for my son, flipped through it and that is what stuck out at me. Without saying anything, he took it and came back with, "The author of this book didn't do a very good job". "It's all about his points per game, shooting percentage, etc, etc." I was really looking for something that told the "inspiring" story of Steph Curry, not just regurgitated stats at the reader.

This book is for a younger kid, not an adult. The print is very large. I would not recommend this book for an older adult. It was also a very thin book too, maybe 1/3 of an inch.
