This man knows how to write very clearly, so that you can understand the concepts he talks about. Worth the read if you want to get a handel on running your own corporation.

As always, the Rich Dad books are so helpful. Garrett's book helped me figure some things out for our business.

Lots of good info. I especially appreciated the section on stocks and SEC.Easily understandable. Worth time spendt reading it.

I want to start a business and I want to do it right. Start Your Own Corporation had great explanations of the different entities. It also includes many examples which helped tremendously.

This book starts with the basic concepts and logically expands them in easy to understand language to the most complicated concepts of corporations. I particularly like the 'tie ins' with Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

Corporations rule our countries, So why not learn the ways of a corp. and start your own. This is a simple to read book that only takes about 3-5 hours to read.

This is an excellent book with lots of valuable information.

For business I look for pragmatic books that gives you advice of how to do things and this book accomplished that goal.

What more is there to say! This will tell you a lot about owning your own corporation and will help you to set it up right the first time.

love this book fam! very details and specific about what and how to run a corporation! Show you what is good and what is not! A little unorganized and repeat things a lot than it should have to, but all over it's a good book for a basic understanding before getting your own business!

I really got a lot out of this book. I was skeptical about how much information would really be availbale in a book. I was pleasantly surprised. I espeacially appreciated the stories, it created a visual and I was able to grasp what was being said. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to get a head start on owning your own business. It'll save you a lot in attorney fees.

Love love love! Like all books from the Rich Dad series, this one, too, is wonderfully written and easily understandable, even for non-native speakers. But be aware: It's not for complete noobs. I warmly recommend reading at least Rich Dad Poor Dad to get started and Tax free Wealth by Tom Wheelwright before diving into this one.

A book that explains the presence of various Indian Acts, Rules and their queerness. Replication of the western evolution of corporations and their ways to bypass stagnation. Of innovative ways of the humans to do something for 'Greater Good'.

I recommend this book to people that are not familiar with the subject of corporations. It's easy to read and gives examples which help you understand the complexity of creating your corporation

I am sure it's good information, but not many Canadian perspectives. Otherwise it's a good book -- much more so if you plan to do business in the U.S.

The veil has been pulled off a frightening subject. Clearly laid out. In language a non-attorney can understand. I'll be referencing this book again and again as I work to protect my assets.

I think about starting a co business, so first I have to look for some ideas help me. Finally I found this book, and it really help me with the best basic ideas of doing co business. Also, I ordered this book and just shorten time I receive it.

This book is filled with insightful information. It is a book that allows you to see the different things that you need to be aware of before starting a business and protecting yourself. He gives you different scenarios that help you see the reasons why you need to pay for good help and how to avoid the pit-falls that comes with starting a new business. It was filled with so much information that I know I will have to reread it.

I really gained a great deal from Garrett Sutton's book. The examples he uses are very clear and understandable. What could have been a daunting topic is written in a very readable and accessible manner. Before you start to set up your LLC or corporation know that "Start Your Own Corporation" is THE book to read.

The books arrived in great condition. It was wrapped well to ensure that they wouldn't be damaged in the delivery. The book details a lot of the facts I wanted to know about starting your own business entity. However, this greatly applies to USA. Nevertheless, the similarities can be applied in other countries and it gives you an insight of what to look for in your own country when researching information on business entities and their benefits.

There is not much more to say but it's a great reference and information that'll help me and mine move ahead.

While there is a lot of good information it gets old and repetitive after a while of reading Rich Dad things. Its eye opening in terms of what a corporation can do for you and if you havnt read any books on it yet, i would consider it a nice primer for information.

This book is very helpful and easy to understand. He gives lots of real examples too. BUT, like all the Rich Dad books, it's extremely repetitive. They could have written the book in half as many words.

The author, an attorney and bestselling author, presents the information necessary to save thousands and dollars and more importantly, to protect family assets from the attacks of creditors. There's lots of useful material in this book--such as: * The longer you stay as a sole proprietorship or partnership, the longer you are personally responsible for anything bad that happens to your business. * Creditors will go after the easiest target with the biggest pockets. My favorite chapter was the one dealing with how to protect your business against scams. Great book to get the basics in starting your business, only reason Igave 4 stars is because I'm in Mexico and some concepts are specifically written for US entrepreneurs. However, no matter what country you're in, you'll get VERY useful information in terms of asset protection and basic legal advice. Thumbs up!

This was very educational and helpful. The information is in depth but very easy to read and comprehend (which, I feel, is one of the biggest positives of this book) by way of real world examples and scenarios. Great job!

I have been wanting to start a business for a while but I was often confused by the jargon and complexities of the legal terminology associated with a business. Garrett Sutton is able to break down these complexities and define the jargon in a way that is easy to digest and apply. He also provides provocative examples of how these are used well, or not used well at all in some cases. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start a business or who is wanting to better understand the business world.

Book did a good job of simplifying the relatively challenging topic of asset protection. Few people realize how exposed they are without entities like llcs and corporations to protect them. A good read for those looking for piece of mind.

I liked this book. (or recording, in this case) I especially appreciated a side by side comparison of C corps, S corps, and LLCs, which I couldn't find anywhere else! For that, I thank Garrett Sutton for providing in this book. Nearly half of the book was about assett protection through corporations, which was a bit annoying to me personally, because I'm trying to start a business and I have no assetts yet! But good information nonetheless.

I've recently began diving into the enigmatic world of company formation, getting bits and pieces from various online blogs and government websites. I quickly realized I needed a more organized crash course and this book served that purpose perfectly.

This book gives many great real life scenarios of corporation formations. Which includes The Good The Bad and The Ugly. My one very small wish was that it wasn't so Nevada Corp. formation one sided. The book goes over why it prefers Nevada over other States like Delaware but just wish it had more in-depth with other popular states also. Really enjoy the series an authors.

Informative, wlrth the price

If you enjoy am easy read, you'll find this book cumbersome, albeit informative. It had lots of useful information, but I wish he'd use less pretentious terms throughout. Write at a 6th-grade level, and it'll make for easy reading.

All the basics to get you started. One quickly learns from this book, however, that Google Fu [and/or a really good lawyer] is still 100% necessary to understand all of the caveats that may apply to your business goals. I liked it, and can honestly recommend it, but would also warn: this one resource is not enough.

Because of this book, I decided to start Empress Cindy Books LLC to publish my books on Amazon. If you're even thinking of starting a business, this is the book to read. And once you decide to start, I highly recommend the companion book, "Run Your Own Corpoation."

This book is absolutely amazing. I really love it. You will need to keep referring back to it until you get to a point where all that is in this book becomes second nature to you.

But the information contained within is for complete novices. It's not for someone who's serious about doing business right away.

I bought both start your own and run your own corporation. Both good books. My only complaint is the lack of even one condensed list of specific corporate formalities. Such as #1, file articles with state, #2, write bylaws, etc.

Garrett Sutton has organized his guidance into any easy-to-follow outline, and uses terminology and language that can be understood by the most amateur entrepreneurs. Throughout the book, which I read over the course of several weeks, I logged endless highlights that I will keep by my side as I form my own business entities in the future.

I purchased this book from online to my kindle reader for Android. This was an excellent book and very informative. I have learned a lot about business strategies and this book helped me to solidify the knowledge that I have already learned. Very good book and is worth purchasing if you are looking for help with setting up a business and getting ideas of how to do that.

Some real good, thorough information about what a corporation, LLC, limited partnership is and how you can use it to your advantage regardless if you're rich or poor. Some parts are hard to follow and have to be reread, but overall a good book if you want to learn about this stuff.

I'm so glad that I read this book before starting a company. Having no prior experience or knowledge of starting a new venture, this book really laid out the pros and cons of the different types of entities. I also appreciated the author pointing out the major pitfalls to avoid. I feel so much more confident now.
