A is for Android?
I want to give 5 stars but sadly the first page has a huge mistake on it! I have been looking forward to getting this for my husband and newborn son for months. It is well written but the letter A has a huge mistake! A is for Android.... however Seven of Nine is NOT an Android, and you are missing the NUMBER ONE ANDROID - Data!!!
WHERE IS CHEKOV
This is the fourth Star Trek Golden Book I have bought and there isn't a single mention of Chekov in any of them. It feels like they're trying to erase his character since the actor died. Anyway, C is for Chekov, not communicator. There are a lot of questionable choices for each letter assignment, and I know not everybody will be happy, but COME ON! How is "Z" not for Zefram Cochrane? Also, "Borg" is already plural. 1 Borg, 2 Borg, a whole lot of Borg, not "Borgs."
Encourage youngster interest in Star Trek
Has references to all Star Trek series, a bit heavier on the original. Pictures are nice. Humans not super accurate to the actors & ladies are extra curvy but still looks good. Nice bright colors and fun to read to a little (hopefully) future Trekkie. Glad Q (one of my fav) got a whole page and Xindis came in handy. Fun to think about what other Trek things the letters could be for. Some choices I thought were odd, but the alphabet just isn't long enough to add all the greats!
O is for odd choices
As the father of a three-year-old, I think the idea for this book is really great. However, the choices made by the author reveal a disappointing lack of familiarity with Star Trek. The page on Federation shows a Cardassian (!) and Worf (who is himself a Federation citizen but is there to help illustrate the diversity of species - except that his species is not in the Federation). Kirk and Janeway illustrate their respective letters, but the other captains don't - why? Finally, as another reviewer has pointed out, how come Z is for Zetarans instead of Zefran Cochrane?!?
Nice alternative to traditional Alphabet books
My book came damaged, but I should be receiving a replacement in 2 days. However, that’s not my reason for only giving 3 stars. My biggest complaint is that Riker is pictures with BROWN EYES. I’m very disappointed in this error. There is also a crewman on the same page with red hair and is red shirt. I hope this wasn’t meant to be Dr. Crusher. I also would’ve liked to see more a Voyager, TNG, and DS9 considering there are already a few Little Golden books on TOS.
Novelty only and worth skipping.
Bought it for the novelty and as a joke for some kids, but really crappy as a kids book given the choice of words representing each letter amd use of obscure alien references from TOS rather than more common occurrences that cross all series. I wouldnt buy this again.
Boldly Going Where No Baby Has Gone Before - Printed in USA
Since I got this book, a few weeks ago, I read it everyday to my 3 month old son, and he really focuses on it. He loves the art and the sentences are actually just long enough for him to pay attention. I think the "S" page is his favorite - no spoilers. For $4.99, this is an excellent purchase for a Trekkie who wants to pass their passion down to an important child in their life. Printed in USA
I love this book
I can't wait to indoctrinate my daughter into the world of star trek. It has some great vocabulary words. i mean i wish P was for Picard as Ph might give a baby learning their abcs the wrong idea about the sounds the letters make but still I'm so very happy with it. A must buy for expecting parents in a star trek house hold for sure!
A simple and fun introductory Trek book for your little one!
Is this book flawless? No, of course not, and you'll certainly find dozens of reviews here nitpicking the ever-living crap out of everything in it, complaining about who it does and doesn't have, and compiling their personal lists of "what should have been" for each letter (actually, that brings up a point; it'd be neat if they could just remake this book every year or two with different nouns for each letter), and otherwise acting like this book should somehow fit into Trek canon perfectly with a stardate and deep backstory. Whatever! It's cute, it's got far more unique choices than many other alphabet books do, and it SHOULD be just a little bit of fun for any adult familiar with the shows to read to a child. In fact, I feel like a couple of the choices are a little obscure, even. All I know is if this book ever lead to a little kid coming up to me and saying "X is for Xindi!", then all is right with the world.
Toddler Loves These Trek Books
My granddaughter, who is only two, loves this series of Star Trek books. She asks her mother to read them to her over and over. I gave her the Star Trek Animated Series from decades ago, but the show doesn't hold her interest (she's too young). But these books captivate her. Recommended.

Yeah! Star Trek!
Liked the original characters. I am introducing a new generation to Star Trek. Always loved Little Golden Books.
Perfect for future trekkie
part of the 4 Star Trek books ... perfect for my grandson to learn his alphabet and star trek with... enjoy
Too cute!!
Great little golden book. My granddaughter will love it! Such a nice way to share one of favorite things with my grand kids :o) Wish it had more DS9 & SNG characters ( Sisko should have his own letter )
awesome books for kids
every child who can read or just starting to read should have this book fun and full of easy to learn words great book
Great
I think the dad liked them more than the little one they were bought for. As described
C is not for Captains
It is for communicator. Other than that it is a cute and quirky book explaining the abc's to any young trekie!
Great for baby trekkies!
Such a great way to bring Star Trek to the next generation!
Grandtoddler will be a Trekkie in no time!
This book is adorable. Will enjoy introducing my grand toddler to space, the final frontier...
Golden books rule
Grandpa loves Star Trek so I couldn't go wrong
Always a fun idea - combine the alphabet learning with a theme.
Star Trek alphabet LGB learning fun!
Good for what it is.
It is fine. Art is good. Not enjoyed very much by my children, though.
Love them
I want them all!!
Fun to read to the kids
Love these books
Fun book for kids and Trekkies alike!
This is a fun book to read with my kids and get nostalgic about the Star Trek series I enjoyed when I was younger.
Interesting
I bought all four Star Trek golden books for a Trekkie for Christmas. A cute little book, it was interesting.
Fun Fun Fun!
Great fun for the family that wants to instill Start Trek in their children's storytelling rituals! Loved it!
Perfect for Little Trekkers!
I bought this “Star Trek” alphabet book as a birthday gift for my friend’s daughter. It’s a great way to introduce “Star Trek” to kids while also teaching them the alphabet and the sounds each letter makes. Perfect for the little Trekker looking to join Starfleet someday!
Star Trek
Good book
Cute book.
It's got a bit of everything up to Enterprise. My girl will be a trekkie before she can walk at this rate.
Star Trek ABC Book.. Beam up Baby
I haven't had a chance to read this to my child / baby yet as it has yet to be born (IVF baby present to my wife) as she knows I am a trekkie, I did however buy 2 of these, 1 for us and 1 for my brother in Law for his two young boys. The illustration is lovely and simplistic and focuses on the ABC rather Trek Law which is great.. a lovely book for any fan of star trek who want to help there little ones understand the ABC's and Star Trek.
Bring Up Your Baby Trekkie
Colourful with excellent examples for the letters, which range from the birth of the Federation to the end of the 24th Century.
Wouldnt buy again
Very disappointing very thin hard back. Near impossible to open without breaking spine
Tight
Alittle thin & hardly a spine so very tight page turner.
Nostalgia
One of three of L.G.B Star Trek. A gift for my nieces. The illustrations and storytelling are wonderful and brings back my own memories of discovering Star Trek and the L.G.Bs I had as a child. While they probably won't have the same affection for the Star Trek series, I do hope that they come to see on how their Uncle views the world. To work in diversity, respect and understanding.
Best ABC book ever
This is fantastic. I cannot wait to teach my little one their ABC's while simultaneously educating them on Star Trek, an equally important subject🤣 and for 5 dollars this was an amazing buy. Very satisfied
Fun addition for a new generation.
A great little children's book that is a lot of fun for the reader and the little listener. A solid value that arrived on time, great shape with good service.
Cheap quality
The book is cute. Like the graphics and the content but was disappointed with the quality. The cover is like thick cardboard and it feels like it is ready to fall apart.
Me encantan estos libros
Una pasada. Tengo todos los libros de Star Trek de esta colección, y son geniales.
my daughter LOVES it !
Start them right at a young age and teach your kids that T is for Tribble :P
Terrific book
This is well written and illustrated. It is well worth the price.
Inexpensive, Quality Item
Great addition to my Trek collection! Nice little hardcover book. Very pleased.
Great book!
Bought for our toddler son, but we enjoy it a little more I think, lol!
Super fun book!
Great for collectors and for a child!
Kind of weak
I don't think they really put much effort into this, just trying to turn a quick buck off the franchise
It's great!!
Thx
Smiles all around.
It was a gift for both my husband and daughter and they both enjoyed. Bringing a little bit of fun to daddy reading to baby was great.
