Great book

Another great "Simple..." book. Okay, so I'm a Kim Diehl fan girl but this book truly is worth owning. I just wish the book had been released earlier in the season because there are some really cute projects that are only valid for autumn (like the Fallen Leaves wool mug mat, the pumpkin kitchen towel, and the Jack Stack door hanger which is stacked pumpkins. However, the rest of the projects are good for all year long. The cover quilt, Harvest Tapestry (40.5" square) is my favorite and includes a final border of appliqued cotton tongues (reminiscent of wool tongues often used on penny rugs). There are about 20 different projects with some of them being associated with sets like a coordinating table runner and placemats, a woolen needle book and sewing jar (it has a pincushion on top), a bed runner (gorgeous) with coordinating pillow cases, curtains and throw pillows, etc. Some of the projects include wool applique but some projects are strictly pieced. Like some of Kim's other books, she includes recipes, decorating ideas, and helpful hints about making the projects. I find these additions entertaining as well as helpful. I'm glad I bought this book and would buy it again if I had do-overs.

Great Book

Great book all around, in my opinion...

Kim's projects in this book are colorful, full of texture and versatile enough to be gifted year 'round. The rich palette of her projects is enhanced with easy stitches that beginners will love and veteran embroiderers will treasure. I like the quilts which mix piecing and applique' such as in "Dresden Dish Garden Quilt". "Simple Harvest" is another amazing chapter in Kim Diehl's constant celebration of nature. Oh, but wait until you see the recipes included in this book! I also liked the decorating and the PinPoint tips sprinkled throughout the book, the instructions on how to applique' and the stitch diagrams (thanks to the latter I was able to attempt blanket stitch again - move over, Kim!). :-)

Perfect book for fall stitching

This is the perfect book for fall stitching (and a bit of baking) There are both quilting projects and felt stitching projects all in beautiful fall colors. If you make these projects your home will be transformed into a autumn dream. There are both full size quilts and one of my faves-a bead runner.

Kim Does Not Disappoint!

As usual, Kim has a wonderful variety of patterns in this new book. I am a wool applique fan and she doesn't disappoint with several wool applique patterns. The book is beautifully photographed as well.

Another great Kim Diehl book

Like pretty much everything published by Kim Diehl.

Quilting Bug

Kim's quilting book "Simple Harvest" is a joy to look at and read. Her directions are clear and easy to follow. Her recipes are delicious sounding and inviting to make. This book is what makes quilting fun! Thank you Kim!

Lovely to curl up with a cup of tea and enjoy!

Being a big Kim Diehl fan, it was no surprise to me that I loved this book. Once again, she provides a variety of quilt patterns and projects, as well as delicious recipes. The photos are gorgeous. Warm and homey. Because the projects are displayed in various home settings, it gives decorating ideas. If you enjoy quilting, making special gifts, decorating your home, and cooking, you’ll enjoy this book!

Definitely a Fall Book

I eagerly await Kim Diehl's new books. I love her color choices and clever new designs. Maybe I've seen too much in my life, but this one wasn't my favorite. It seemed like I had seen it before. I still love Kim Diehl, though.

Another great Kim Diehl book

This book is filled with goodies, I love the ball jar pincushion that I made and there are about 6 more things in there that I'm dying to try. this is a terrific book.
