In great condition

I LOVE THIS STORY!! I can't wait to get the next vol! The pages were not ripped and were in great condition. This is a manga and like all manga, you read from right to left. It is in English and the grammar is great. The art style is super cute and well done. I like the little skits at the end, so adorable~ It also comes with a poster inside it! I'm sure you can take out the poster and hang it up. I love the manga, thank you!

disappointed :(

i was really excited for this cause i love this series so much and the reviews were great but mine came in horrible condition :( it was all cratched up and had indent marks all over the cover. the inside pages were alright but it was just really disappointing cause i got this volume to start collecting and mikas my fav character.

Weird,weird world.

Please see my review on the first book. The worldbuilding is terrible, but the art is pretty. This showed me good art cannot make up for horrible worldbuilding.

IT WAS AMAZLINGS!!!!!

Just as great as the first

I really really like where the story is headed at the moment, the plot is interesting and I like the main protagonist. It's gotten a lot more different and you see the protagonists best friend's side of what happened to him after the first volume. The style of talking sometimes seems like it came out from an Anime or something. The funny arguments that happen have a certain animated type read. Maybe that's just me but anyways, great buy. I'm gonna get volume three to see the story's progression.

The demon in the sword

The first volume of "Seraph of the End" ended with two important things happening: 1) Yuichiro Hyakuya finally making a friend, the timid Yoichi. 2) The revelation that his old friend Mika is actually still alive... or rather, now undead. And both of these events are explored in more detail in "Seraph of the End Vol. 2," where which further fleshes out the ways that our heroes are fighting the vampire overlords. Thankfully there's less emphasis on the high school setting and more on actual training for the military, particularly as the teen heroes are now facing the dangers of their own demonic weapons. Much mayhem ensues. Having made a whole one friend, Yuichiro Hyakuya is finally accepted into the training program for the Cursed Gear, but he makes a pretty bad impression on his first day. Not only does he insult the entire class and scuffle with Guren, but he makes a new rival in the cynical Shiho Kimizuki. Of course they end up having to do team exercises together, but it allows Yuichiro to discover why Shiho is so desperate to be part of the Army. Unfortunately, their problems are only just starting -- when Shiho, Yoichi and Yuichiro are finally permitted to make contact with their demonic weapons, not all of them succeed. And when a demonic weapon possesses a human, there is only one fix. And what's happening with Mika? Well, after we find out how he became a sorta-kinda-vampire, and he learns about the plans of the vampire queen. Hint: they're not good for humans. "Seraph of the End" still has some silly high school moments (Yuichiro being mocked for his test scores) but the emphasis here is more on the military, and the world that the vampires have crafted in their own image. More about the Moon Demon Company's way of life is revealed, such as the danger they go through in order to handle their Cursed Gear without succumbing to demonic influence. And it's hinted that there is political strife on the horizon, though it hasn't actually affected our protagonists yet. But the most important development here is in the main character Yuichiro Hyakuya. For the past four years, he's been focused like a laser on his desire for revenge, and his self-imposed isolation has kept him from realizing that other people have suffered because of the vampires as well. He finds out that Yoichi and Shiho have reasons to want to be in the Moon Demon Company that are as important as his own, whether it's revenge or for the sake of a loved one. And in turn, there's more fleshing-out of the supporting cast, especially with the addition of Shiho. The trio of teen boys -- the steady and timid one, the brash hero and the cynical loner -- all work together pretty well, and while their backstories are glimpsed, there's still plenty of growth in the future. And on the vampire side, we see that Mika has changed drastically from the perky, ingenious child he once was, but that he hasn't lost the core of his humanity. The one problem? The vampire queen, Krul Tepes. She is a goth loli in revealing bat-themed clothing. Given the fairly serious way the vampires have been presented, this is massive tonal whiplash. The second volume of "Seraph of the End" is a bit slow-paced, but it does valuable world-building for the series -- more about the world the characters live in, and how it's shaped them. And of course, it leaves you wanting to see what's next.

Really continue to enjoy this shounen series!

I really enjoyed this second volume in the Seraph of the End series. I love that there is a quick summary of characters and story-thus-far at the beginning of the book. The illustration continues to be well done and the story was highly entertaining. In this volume we get to see our lone wolf hero, Yuichiro, get his demon gear and learn about what really happened to his childhood friend (who he has presumed to be dead). The illustration is top notch and easy to follow. I am enjoying where the story is going and find that characters highly entertaining. Overall this was a great continuation of the Seraph of the End: Vampire Reign series. I would recommend to those who enjoy post-apocalyptic themed manga series with lots of action, vampires, and demons.

Curious To See Where This Will Go

I still haven't decided if I like Seraph of the End or not. The plot is interesting, there are a lot of mysteries, and it looks like we are going to have a grand cast of characters and abilities. The secondary characters are interesting but I still haven't bonded to main character Yuichiro Hyakuya. Most of the time, I am wishing the scenes with him would end sooner since he's a one note pony right now. Story: Four years after Yuichiro escaped from the vampires, he's still desperate to get his hands on a cursed sword. Now that the exams are coming up to test for suitability, 'lone wolf' Yuichiro is having a hard time getting along with comrades; indeed, he gets into fights with one particular student, Kimizuki, constantly. But when it comes time to take the test, it is clear that both boys have something they wish to protect or avenge. And they had better hurry and earn their demon blades - the Vampire army is marching and we're set up for a confrontation between new vampire Mikaela and former best friend Yuichiro. Takaya Kagami is taking this story at a languid pace, unfolding the world building a bit at a time. After two volumes, I am still left with a lot of questions and had hoped we'd get into the battles before now. But the addition of Kimizuki and how he balances Yuichiro is enough to pique my interest and want more. And well, I really want to see how each of the demon cursed weapons work and how they are used by the new graduates. In all, I'm curious to see where this will go in Volume 3. Reviewed from an ARC.

So cute!

These books are so worth the price. I'd already watched the anime so I thought I'd just go ahead and buy them because if the anime is good then I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. The story and characters are great. Lately, I've been looking for some more manga and anime that isn't all school life romance and such but is still relatively cute and this is perfect. Also, I was pleasantly surprised when I found that they had cute little posters inside them~! They arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

My order came earlier than expected and delivery was to a good standard. Loved the manga and ordered the other volumes, they are all great volumes to read too.

Good

Packaging was a bit shabby but the book itself wasn’t damaged too much apart from some slight yellowing on the pages.

Amazing

Its really good quality and the poster inside is so cool

Better Than the First

The plot thickens in Seraph of the End 2 and I am pleased to see Yu's character developing as he starts to accept the people around him and begins to start his demon training. The humour and suspense flow nicely and it is a very good read. I defiantly recommend this series. I would also go as far as to say that the second book is better than the first.

i like it

mini poster was super cool and the quality is amazing
