Dr. Janeane Reagan’s user-friendly presentation of how the human brain (and sometimes the horse brain) works gives the reader an understanding of what it takes to make changes that impact performance and enjoyment. Through this understanding, riders and drivers gain essential tools for improving their mental toughness, focus, emotional regulation, communication, stress management and, when needed, recovery from setbacks and from physical or emotional trauma. Each chapter helps the reader make these tools his or her own.

Finally, a helpful book for the jitters or PTSD following an accident.
I've read many books addressing horseback riding jitters and trauma after an accident, and this one is by far the best and most helpful. Highly recommended.
Rein in your brain
Loved it. Makes understanding brain dynamics for sport performance very easy. Written for equestrians but feedback from others who are not equestrians is that the "workbook" format works for any sport, even non-sport life events. Really felt the illustrations were fun and carried the message of the text. Kudos to the author!
A Must Read for Horsemen and Horsewomen
I found the information helpful plus new ways to teach riding students. I wish I could say I imagine myself winning the gold medal and actually doing it, but probably not going to happen:(
Highly recommend
Great book
Five Stars
It would have been better to have a hard copy for this book.
I love it
Great read!
A must read for any horse rider wanting to achieve their dreams!
Fantastic book if you’re a horse rider, as it really helps you with controlling your fears! So you can focus more on achieving your dreams :-) I Thoroughly recommend this book for trainers too, as it will help with teaching riders that struggle and you’ll get the best out of them, which will then result in a happy horse :-) Enjoy
