Perfect for beginning writers.
This journal seems perfect for beginning writers! Binding seems sturdy, pages are large. Includes a table of contents. Very satisfied with this item.

My 2nd grader and kindergartener love these! A great addition to our homeschool curriculum. While my 2nd grader has established good writing habits, wide ruled notebook lines are still tough for him to write inside. And my kindergartener still has emerging writing skills so these are a wonderful addition. There's the added bonus of space for drawing pictures. Will order again once these fill up!
Great First Journal
My son is entering Kindergarten, and I bought a Primary Journal: Early Creative Story Book for Kids for him to practice his writing in over the summer. I think it is a great journal for early writers, because the lines are a generous width and there's a nice amount of space for drawing. My son also ended up liking the Table of Contents and would sometimes title his stories and write down the page number. I've already bought another of these and will be buying more. A different brand was requested on my son's school supply list, but after seeing those, I prefer the layout and design of the Primary Journal: Early Creative Story Book for Kids. The quality seems good, and I haven't had any issues with the binding.

I am looking for a journal that my son can practice drawing and at the same building simple sentence. This one is a perfect journal. Simple and the lines are perfect for kids who are starting to write on a three lined paper.
Large, But Not Enough Writing Space
The drawing space is nice and large but that leaves too little room to right. This might be good for Kindergarten writers but it's not right for almost 2nd graders. It's also not bound like a composition book, it's just a paperback. I purchased through Prime, but to return it, I have to pay as much as it cost to purchase the notebook!
Decent just needs more designs
Wish they had different designs for the same price but overall happy. My son was less than excited though he wanted pirates or sharks on it. Mom is happy with the price however

Good thick quality with lots of pages, only issue is I wish they perforated so you could tear them out. We’ve used it many times during our quarantine homeschooling.

Has dashed lines and place for a picture on every page. My son used this for his kindergarten writing assignments during COVID/distance learning.
