Easy to use - Great photos to ID plants.

This book is super helpful. We just moved from CA to a large property in N Idaho where we have flat pasture land, wetland plus forest. I had no idea how to identify the trees here & this book helped me a lot. It also has a great section on Grasses which helps to figure out what needs to be done to get the pastures ready for animals as well as sections on moss & lichen & wildflowers & gives info on plant toxicity which is important.

A must have for field work

Love this book. Used for botany work in the Colville Forest. Excellent resource, a must have for those wanting to identify plants in the field.

A Great Reference Book

A comprehensive book. A useful reference book.

good quality. i have been looking for this book for years now but since the last print was in the late 90s i hadnt been able to, im so glad they finally ran a reprint 20+yrs later! finally let me get a copy of this beautiful book. the book is great, photos and detailed descriptions of every plant separated by type.

Highly Recommended!

I bought the latest copy as a gift for a friend. My husband and I each have our own books, it's just that good! It's very user friendly, contains great information and photographs, and includes the common plants that you are likely to encounter in the given area. This is my 'go to' book in our collection of plant identification texts that we've amassed over the years.

This is my other bible

Sorry, I hope that is not offensive to anyone. This is my go-to book. I always start here and carry it around with me on hikes, pressing flowers as I go. Doesn’t have all the answers but is an invaluable resource.

Thoughtful gift

The person I bought this for was thrilled to receive it. She had another edition that written for where she lived before and was very happy to have one for her new home.

Great

Fantastic book, helped us identify all the edible plants on our forested property.
