Peril in Little Leaf Creek (A Little Leaf Creek Cozy Mystery Book 2)

Cassie involves herself in another investigation and finds danger. It’s the getting there that’s interesting. She’s finding out more about the little town she has moved to, starting a new life for herself. Her neighbor is becoming more likeable. The fellow that helps her fix her new home is very handy and seems very interested in Cassie. The local lawman is certainly shyer about it, but may finally make his move. It’s fun watching Cassie negotiate all the people and new friends. She’s getting there if it wouldn’t be for a little thing like murder labeled as an accident and close to where she lives. What you may mistake for a simple cozy murder mystery will surprise you. Author, Cindy Bell, offers all the twists and turns that make this an enjoyable and worthwhile read.

I’ve read almost all of Cindy Bell’s many series and have enjoyed most of her books. Although I will probably continue to read the books in this series because I do like the author, I am finding these to be a tad slower than most of her series. I have guessed correctly the “who done it” for both of the first two in the series, which is usually not the case when I read her books. I don’t find myself liking the characters as much as I usually do with her books. I’m also not very impressed over the fact that the main character has two men apparently interested in her—I am indifferent to which of the two might end up with her. Still, I’ll probably continue to read the upcoming new releases in the series just because they are written by one of my favorite cozy authors. I have had some of her series grow on me more as new books came out, so maybe that will be the case again.

Cassie is beginning to settle in to her new home in Little Leaf Creek when a well liked hiker is found dead and Cassie doesn't think his death was an accident. Very engaging. Beginning to know the characters and where they are headed. Awaiting the 3rd book with anticipation.

Read book one and really enjoyed it. The cast of characters are great. Cassie moved to little Leaf Creek to make a new start on her life. Slowly she got to know her neighbor Tessa. You will enjoy this book and book one. Book three will be out soon. Enjoy.

I was so excited to find this delivered to my kindle! A wonderful surprise! This book was excellent, with its characters, the plot and a little bit of romance.

I enjoyed this mystery. The murderer was a surprise to me and I like the way she makes a connection between characters when they are talking.

I read the first book a while back, so had to start over now that I've collected quite a few. Still loving this little town of quirky characters. Really good read!

If you haven't read this series you must. Great characters, great stories.

Peril in Little Leaf Creek is the second book in Cindy Bell’s newest series, A Little Leaf Creek Cozy Mystery. When a famous rock climber is discovered dead, many assume it’s an accident. Yet, there are those who want further investigation based on the victim’s meticulous safety protocol. Once murder has been determined, Cassie Alberta, along with her friend Tess, start to search for clues. Although the rock climber had many fans, he also had quite a few enemies, adding to the list of suspects. I am really enjoying this series and the characters Ms. Bell has created. Both Carrie and Tess have strong personalities, albeit Carrie is more impulsive. The story took many twists and turns, with a definite uncertainty of the killer. I was not expecting the ending when the killer is revealed. I am looking forward to book three in this series. There is a lot of happening within the town of Little Leaf Creek and the relationships of all those involved. I received an advanced copy of this book, all the thoughts expressed here are my own.

A fascinating well-written novel and series with strong (with a few quirky) characters delivering witty dialogues that brings their tiny, little town of Little Leaf Creek alive, keeping us fascinated and captivated til the last word. My favorite is Cassie's conversation with her new neighbor, Tessa after she has chased Harry and the goats. I hope that Cassie chooses (caring, handsome) Sebastian instead of Oliver. Do you love a great mystery, dangerous thrills, chills, lots of twisted turns, some romantic sparks sizzling in the air and lots of LOL that will keep you totally mesmerized? Then this awesome cozy mystery series is perfect for you. I recommend the "Peril in Little Leaf Creek," and it's series to all readers. Enjoy!

I enjoyed this book just as I enjoyed the first book of the series. I have already felt a connection with the characters, and the town of Little Leaf Creek. I think it is a good author that can create that sort of connection between the reader and the story. I had the right culprit not too long after the character was introduced, but I did not have the circumstances correct. The story builds until the climatic ending. I was on the edge of my seat as the final chapters of the book brings the reveal of the murderer. This is a lovely wicked cozy series and I can't wait for the next book.

This is the 2nd book in the series, but it works fine as a standalone. I read the first book too and enjoyed it, but I liked this one even better. The main character is very likable and there are lots of fun or odd characters in Little Leaf Creek. The mystery was especially interesting to solve—it was hard to put the clues together, but in a good way. When the culprit was revealed, it made sense, and it was a nice challenge. I recommend this book and series; I was provided an arc of this book, but these opinions are my own.

Cassie seems to be settling into Little Leaf Creek just fine. Two men appear to be chasing her. When someone dies she feels she needs to prove it was a murder. I enjoy the animals that are a part of the series. They help give me a mushy feeling. This is a fabulous series! I highly recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I liked the manner in which it was written as I found it very engaging throughout the whole story......it seemed to have been written at a different level than some of the other stories I have read recently. I most definitely recommend this story for being engaging and holding interest throughout.

I've been enjoying reading this story, Peril in Little Leaf Creek, the story is a mystery and a little tension in the end. The story is a interesting adventure for the reader.

This book was ok. I found the storyline a bit boring and slow.to.develop with too many characters. The ending was sort of a surprise which helped improve my rating.

This is the second in the Little Leaf Creek series. As with most cozy mysteries it is good light reading for a rainy day, an airplane trip or a day at the beach.

I really enjoyed reading this second book in the series. Cindy Bell is a good writer bringing visual to the story and characters. A good story with a surprise ending.

Really like this series, always a great murder mystery to solve. Characters are unique and banter is funny while they are solving the murder.

Someone has murdered the local rock climbing legend, and suddenly the beloved man has turned into a nightmare with more enemies than friends.

A fast moving cliffhanger. Plenty of suspects, action, drama, twists and turns and budding romance and friendship. A great Read.

This was another neat cozy filled with lots of rwists and turns. The storyline was interesting along with the characters.
