This book is fantastic. Serge Ramelli is a fantastic photographer. As a lover of Black and White photography this book fit the bill. This book is wonderfully printed so Serge's photographics a wonderfully displayed. He also has a similar book on New York City. BTW, The photos were taken at fantastic places in Paris so its a nice visit of Paris without having to travel there!!

I enjoyed looking at this book. It has many great pictures of Paris. Serge Ramelli is a wonderful photographer, ive watched his youtube channel for many years, very helpful teacher. His Los Angelos book is even better, it made want to go to L.A even though i never had any desire.I highly recommend this book.

Beautiful book for table decor, came with a little bump

This book is beautiful. I wish there were more European cities from this photography. We travel quite a bit and I love to buy a book while either in the city or when I return home. We have been to Paris many times and this is the perfect reminder of our trip. The size is great and the beautiful black and white cover is simple and clean. Looks great stacked with other books. Definitely a great buy and a great size.

Planning a trip in spring so this helps show the bf some places we can see. Utterly incredible photography.

Beautiful book!

Absolutely loved this book

Nice black and white photographs of Paris and technically well done. Featured are key photo spots in the city of lights. The photographer chooses to photograph the city in low light with minimal inclusion of people. I understand this was a conscious decision by the photographer. I give 4 stars because my preference would be to include more people featured images or perhaps a bit of very special traditional street photography, but that's just me. Again, the images are wonderful. Well worth the price and I will enjoy revisiting this book from time to time.

beautiful black and white paris photography book. just beware of the sizing. there is a smaller size which I accidentally ordered when trying to buy a coffee table book as a gift for a friend, and it had to go back. make sure you know which size you are getting!

Perfect book concerning 'Paris in images'!

Gorgeous shoots.

I bought this book to be a coffee table book and it not a standard size. it is the size of a magazine! I have seen it at beauty salon bigger, what happened?! The photography is pretty though so I did keep it although I wish it were full size.

Would be a great improvement to have captions and the geographical data on the page with each photo. Never been to Paris, and looking up sparse captions at the back of the book is inconvenient.

A beautifully presented book, Serge's way of capturing images of Paris is very special. Having spent many hours walking the streets of Paris myself, it is wonderful to see so many familiar places through Serge's eye.

I received Serge's Paris book as a gift, and I love it!! It's beautiful! The black and white photos present the real life mood and drama of Paris. His pictures capture the grandeur and intricate details of the gorgeous architecture, monuments, sculptures, cobblestone streets, modern areas, and parks. He shows the moody skies, rare snow scenes, and night lights of Paris. The wide angle views and large page size in the book make you feel like you are right there in the scene. This book brings back many good memories from our own stay in Paris. I highly recommend this book as a gift and for those who want to experience Paris for the first time or relive faded memories. The book is printed on high quality paper and is an excellent coffee table book. We will enjoy this book for a long time!

I have been a fan of Serge for over 3 years now, and regularly follow his tutorials and have purchased numerous courses from him. There is little doubt that he has influenced my way to process pictures. At the time of this writing, I have not received the New-york book, and will not be able to offer a comparison with the Paris book. However, I do have the “Paris lights” from Jean-Michel Berts. Serge speaks highly of Berts, who remains, in my opinion, a higher level than Ramelli. “Une plus grande pointure” as Serge would say… The book is of good quality, printed in Italy where the quality of prints has been excellent for decades. It is large, few pounds heavy and 175 pages. Although not a bargain, I thought the value was fair. A few pictures are shot in the same places than Jean-Michel Berts’s book, and it is interesting to compare the processing of both photographers. The angles are different, and it seems that Ramelli’s composition are more interesting and better done. Some other pictures are curious and perhaps surprising to have made the cut to be published. The Metro sign on page 4-5 comes to mind. Others like the building on the right of page 29 have halos, which may be forgiven for an amateur photographer, but not someone of the caliber of Serge Ramelli. Some seem slightly out of focus like in page 26-27. I do not know if this is due to a low aperture, or “blowing up” the pixels for the print, but it seems surprising to find in this book. Don’t get me wrong, I love the book, but it may seem that a few pages are redundant and more like an after thought to fill a book. 166-117 and 120-121 are of the same subject, although with a different composition. Either one should have been picked, or at the very least, set them at a different place in the book so it doesn’t look like an attempt at filling pages. Overall, I would recommend this book to any Ramelli’s fan. Yes, It is not breath taking and I believe some pictures shown on his tutorials are better, but some pages in the book are still remarkable and definitely Serge’s signature and savoir faire.

This is a wonderful book. It was a Mother's Day gift from my son and I love it. There are so many beautiful photographs of one of my favorite cities. I've visited Paris a few times and each time it is more glamorous. This book reminds me of Paris's grandeur and mystery. I like how it shows the old Paris with the new Paris in the same picture. It's quite a comparison. This is a Treasure Trove of beautiful photos.

This was a Mother's Day gift for my mother. She loves it. She says the pictures are spectacular. It brings back some really good memories of her past trips.

I love Paris. Serge has captured the City of Lights in stillness and beauty that you will never see anywhere else. This book takes front place on my coffee table and when I flip through the pages I am transported. It's one of my favorite things.

I love this Book. Serge Ramelli beautifully captures images of the iconic sights as well as the not so famous areas of Paris in high quality, black and white. Paris is known as the City of Light and Serge's images truly show off the city and the light.

I purchased this book because of my endless love to the greatest and most beautiful City in the world: Paris. I can't think of any other enchanting place such as Paris on earth. This book is packed with a lot of beautiful photos of this majestic City, a real piece of art. Each photo is accompanied with short facts and info regarding the place it was taken. The only thing that "bothered" me is the fact that most of the photos are of Paris at night. Surely it's no surprise as it is known as the "City of lights", but this City is stunning both day and night and I wish there were more photos of it during summer days and spring. Either way, still worth it for any of you Paris lovers. 5 stars.

Fabulous photos of Paris

Imagens "HDR" de longa exposição e em preto e branco, além do olhar apurado deste fotógrafo (cujo trabalho é belíssimo), fazem desse livro um dos meus preferidos da fotografia de paisagem e lugares. As composições da cada imagem são belíssimas, é um trabalho praticamente "poético". Recomendadíssimo para todos que amam fotografia.

Paris, New York, Venedig. Der Fotograf hat quasi eine Buchserie vorgelegt. Wer sich ihn zum Vorbild nimmt, wird sehr früh aufstehen müssen. Viele Fotos wirken überhöht, unrealistisch. Aber das ist wohl der Stil der heutigen Zeit. In ein paar Jahren werden wir diese Überhöhung als Kitsch empfinden, so wie die zu bunten Postkarten aus den fünfziger und sechziger Jahren.

Perfeito! Além de fotografias magníficas, o livro também fica lindo na composição de decorações. Utilizei na decoração da sala de estar e ficou muito elegante.

Produto de excelente qualidade ! Imagens em preto e branco ressaltando toda a beleza da capital francesa, com suas construções seculares. Comprei do tamanho 21,6 x 26 cm por se adequar melhor à estante e tambem ao preço melhor, embora o de 35 cm altura seja tentador. Dinheiro bem gasto !!!

durch die Anwendung spezieller Techniken (Langzeitbelichtung). Wenn man solche Aufnahme mag, ist das ein schönes Fotobuch - aber man muss halt diese Form von Fotos in dieser Menge mögen. Deshalb die Ein-Sterne-Einschränkung.

Ein muss für jeden Paris Fan. Habe das Buch verschenkt. Die Dame war begeistert und hat sich gleich bedankt.

Un libro bellissimo con fotografie stupende, ottimo per chi ama Parigi. Le foto sono decisamente panoramiche, molto stile "cartolina". L'effetto generale è comunque mozzafiato.
