Oregonians love their state, Benchmark's home state, and they love this atlas. They rave about how clearly it maps the roads - ALL of them - and its accuracy, page overlap, and how easy it is to find landmarks. The Landscape Maps in the latest edition are dramatically improved, with better terrain clarity and detail.

Incorrect pages

We ordered this atlas twice and both times there were both pages missing and duplicate pages. Very disappointing

The best there is- still needs some improvements

This map is pretty detailed. Some of the tracks they have labeled as trails are actually 4wd high clearance roads, minor mistake. But 99% of my complaints has to do with the colors they used. The 4wd high clearance roads are labeled in bright red dashed lines while unpaved roads are labeled in dark red dashed lines. These colors look really similar, and its very very difficult to tell the two apart if you are say traveling 20 mph down a rutted row in a dusty jeep. They NEED to do a better job of making sure all the symbols are in different enough colors so one can tell them apart without having to seriously focus on it. I took a star off for this reason, please, please use colors that are more distinguished from each other to represent different kinds of roads on the next edition.

Back road map details of Oregon

I lost my previous version (and my notes). This is an update, well constructed and gives this old paper map reader a happy useful alternative to GPS maps when traveling.

Must have when driving

This atlas literally saved our lives when we got caught in a fire storm‼️ The details got us off onto safe routes avoiding the spread of fires taking out main thoroughfares.

Detailed map book with current information.

This is a great resource for back roads travel and camping locations. Up to date information.

Amazons's selling an out of date Atlas

The Benchmark Atlas seems to be THE best around, certainly for Oregon. I just wish that I'd known Amazon was selling the two-year-old version. I gave the copy I received to a friend, then went to REI and bought the current 9th edition, which has 112 pages.

Detailed & Informative

Very informative and detailed. Not only was our trip more interesting, as could easily learn what was nearby or plan ahead, it was also helpful when we would lose our cell phone signal!

Must Have for Oregon Adventures

This is the second time I have purchased this book, my last copy was “borrowed” by a family member. It is a treasure trove of what and where to explore in this beautiful state.

Great Maps

I like Benchmark maps the best, they show a lot of details and small roads without being a topo map.

A Great Map

Our old map was 20 years old. This newer version has a lot more detail. No problems with missing pages as some reviewers report.
