This book was a gift for my three different siblings' children. The kids love the book, the truth that is being taught is rock solid, and the illustrations are wonderful depictions of the words. I highly recommend this book and any other books by Natalee Creech.

I love teaching little ones about the Bible, especially about Scripture verses. This book is about one of the treasures in the Bible, the promise found in Romans 8:38-39: “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us form the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (NKJV) Yet how do you teach toddlers, preschoolers, and early learners the deep meaning behind this verse? The answer is found in this beautiful picture book by Natalee Creech. With engaging, delightful illustrations, the author unpacks the powerful message of this biblical promise so that every child can understand it. From zooming up in a spaceship to diving deep down in the ocean, there’s nowhere or nothing we can ever do to separate us from God’s love. Whimsical and endearing, this book is a wonderful way to bring the Bible to life for kids. I’m so glad I got a preview file to review!

On the first page of her book, NOTHING, a question is asked, “Can anything separate me from God’s love?” Based on Romans 8:38-39, this book takes the reader on a rollicking ride from the highest mountain to the deepest ocean—in all kinds of severe weather—to answer it. The clear, rhyming text is a perfect match for the charming illustrations by Joseph Cowman, which add delight and humor while helping the youngest child to understand that nothing separates us from the love of God. Filled with beautiful rhyming text and gorgeous and colorful illustrations, this book is sure to be one that your child will ask you to read again and again!

This sweet book is a powerful reminder that we are all loved -no matter where we go and how far we travel. The illustrations are delightful and I especially love the ending which is about forgiveness. Forgiving others and ourselves is the true definition of unconditional love. What a wonderful book to start or end the day.
