Kyra got to be on the same thing as Skinny because she's tweaking bad for no reason. I felt for Amoree and the losses she experienced because of the streets. Her mom was something else but I understood she didn't want her child to let life pass her by. I felt bad for Jewels and her having to find out how low down Honesty truly was. I know finding out Jacobi's involvement may still hurt Jewels even after the shocking news. William was a whole clown and Eason was ready for him. I loved how Eason went above and beyond for River regardless of how much Kyra tried downplaying things. Whew, I definitely was happy for Amoree because she finally someone that could possibly offer and protect her like Maurice once did. Man Skinny must've forgot be wasn't on his own hood and should've stated out of a situation that didn't concern him. I can't wait for part 2 but I'm hoping the current situation doesn't have Amoree ready to throw in the towel.

Very good flow. Every character has a chapter so you know their background. Doesn't make you like some but you can see why you don't. Still waiting to see how some of them tie together. I think I know Jacobi and Eason's ties. I want it revealed that skank Laila has lied on Jacobi. Kyra done got on that stuff that quick spazzing out like that. I hope Skinny hasn't talked her into setting Eason up on some jealousy mess. That baby knows something ain't right in that house. Skinny done made the wrong move pulling that gun on Eason... Hurry up now!!!

I enjoyed reading this book and I like how the author gave each character their own chapter. It definitely gives the reader the perfect background on them and also shows how connected some of them really are. Although Amoree suffered a major loss, she is gradually getting back to moving on and enjoying life again. I do like the friendship she has formed with Jewel. Not feeling Kyra and Laila they are just the typical bitter baby mama's. Eason is that dude and seems to be the wrong one to mess with. I'm looking forward to reading how he will handle Skinny because he needs to be dealt with asap. Something isn't right with him. Overall a great read and intro into these characters lives. Looking forward to more from them in part 2.

This book was fire! Prenisha Aja' always delivers. I fell in love with the mystery man right away and couldn't wait for Amoree to officially meet him. I loved how all the characters tied in together and the raw emotion felt as I experienced hurt and pain right along with Amoree and Jewel. Excited for the next book!

Amoree is coming out of her shell of depression thanks to Eason. Who is straight up bae material by the way😂 William seems a little too pressed for Amoree to date him so she better watch his sneaky self. Kyra is on dangerous territory because she's so desperate for attention just to say she has somebody.

The characters are well developed, love the details about each one and the interwoven story lines. But the details of Amoree & Easton first night together is missing. I'll read book 2 because I want to see how it all plays out, but I hope the rest of the romance and intimate moments are fully explained.

Thankful that Amoree is starting to get back to herself...Jewel is definitely that a blessing...but still do much tragedy plagues these beautiful souls...Eason maybe what Amoree needs. Kyra needs her butt whooped why would she put her child in that predicament..crazy..on to part 2...

Kyra know she is doing to much. Skinny had to still be on drugs to do that to Eamon. I’m glad Amoree finally getting some happiness.

This was a good read and I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series because that ending was CRAZY. Skinny is crazy and I think he just made his final mistake. There were things I liked about this story and things that were missing for me. I enjoyed the characters, and the drama alone was enough to keep me entertained with this book. I laughed out loud quite a few times while reading this story and I'm excited to see where things go with Amoree and Eason. The thing that this story was missing for me was the romance but everything is still fresh so I'm giving it more time. Amoree lost her love in the beginning so I didn't really get to feel the "love" between them, I was just told it was there. Easton and Amoree are just getting to know each other with Kyra acting a fool. I'm waiting to feel that love between Easton and Amoree because I have a feeling that when they get there, there's nothing that will come between them. I know that if Kyra keeps popping off at the mouth I will need Amoree to show up and show out on that ass. I'm excited to read how things play out.

Now why would Kyra do that. She knows Eason he doesn't have no sense when it comes to River. She should have set some boundaries with Skinny (the coke head).I believe she doing coke now too. Somebody should told Skinny if he was going to pull a gun on somebody he better pull the trigger. He knows better. She's acting all out of control. Amoree didn't want to show her a$$ yet. I think what she should do is go to counseling and Jewel. Take that engagement ring off her finger and put it on a necklace. Jacobi ain't s#!t because he had something to do with Honest being killed all because he wanted his spot. He better hope Jewel doesn't find out bcause if she does she might not ever talk to him again. Laila know that isn't his son. She lucked up and found her a goofy which is Jacobi.

Ok ni. Oh you know what Ms. Prenisha, you did your thing on this book! Eason, is the man. I like how he loves his mom and daughter, and would move heaven and earth for them. I loved how Jewel made it her business to introduce herself to Amoree and they became friends. Amoree, suffered such a tragic loss. I was glad when she came around and started taking better care of herself. I was glad Eason, didn't leave his daughter with her mom when she started kicking and screaming not wanting to stay. Kyra done let that Nola D turned her out! Let 2 me please.😂😂😂

I really like Amoree and Easton together. He is just what she needs to begin to heal. I lowkey feel like he may be tied into the death of her fiance and daughter but part 2 will reveal that. Kyra seems to desire to do better but chooses not to. What female has some strange man she just met around her child like that?? I don't trust Skinny not one bit. He was bugging at the end too. I want Jewel to be happy too. She seems so sweet and with good intentions. She needs to let go of how she feels about Honesty because his ass was far from being honest.

This was a decent read. Predictable, but decent enough to want to read the rest of the series. I subtracted a star due to there being so much unnecessary cursing. It was like the author was adding curse words to sentences that didn’t need them, which was kind of annoying. Also, it seemed like all the females were saying they were “rolling their eyes to to the top of their heads” over exaggerating. One time they swore they rolled them so hard they had to blink to unstick them. Smh Just too much. I’d give this one a 3.5.

Amoree had endured a lot from losing her fiancé and her daughter in a homicide. She haven't recover from it yet but with Eason she will bounce back. I hope Jewel will use the phone number and her brother was so wrong for what he did and I don't know of Jewel will forgive him that if she find out he had something to do with her boyfriend. Eason baby mama is on something for real. Hope Eason able to get the gun from that Skinny dude because Amoree can't endure no more pain. Can't wait for partv2!!

Nooo Prenisha you did not end the book like this..I need part 2 asap Im glad Amoree opened up to Eason, I like them together I hope Jewel can pull through her depression and stop harming herself..maybe the new officer can ease her mind I think Kyra new guy had her using drugs along with him because she act timid around him She should have warned her bf about her baby daddy. The last page...whew..I have soo many questions..great job Prenisha..I absolutely love all of your books and this was no different Impatiently waiting for part 2

All I want to know is where's my Eason at. .I'm so glad Amoree finally moved on even though was hard for her. Now these ghetto baby mamas in something else. Now true enough I think the dude with the dreads about to hit that pavement Slim. Kyra don't got some mess started that she can't fix. Jewel I felt sorry for her. But I'm guessing all this going to lead to a big secret being exposed. You didn't have to leave me hanging Ms. Aka'.

This was my first book I’ve read by this author, but it won’t be the last. There were some things I loved and disliked about the book. For some reason, I’m not liking the why Amoree treated William. I understand your going through something, but there’s not need to play with his emotions like that....which I can see being a problem in book 2. Now Eason...yeah, from the description and his demeanor....that’s by book bae for the moment. Great work, can’t wait to read part 2. Thanks

This read was such a page turner! Eason is the epitome of a real man, he cares and loves his mother and daughter like no other! I think Kyra has started to snort coke like Skinny! I pray to God nothing happens to Eason in front of his daughter or Amoree. I hope he was not the one who killed Maurice and Ameer because Eason and Amoree are meant to be together! So ready to see what is going to happen in part 2

Idk when the next book will be released so I’m stuck right now lol this is my first book from this author i found it on a fb post where she shared the link, everything about this book was good the pages turned easily and there were no errors which is always a good thing.I will be reading the next book!!

This book was awesome!! It started out normal but picked up fast to full DRAMA!!! The sadness that Amoree had to endure was unbearable. Then she met Jewel and opened up a little but then another tragedy happened! 😞 During all of this Amoree keeps running into Eason!!! Things are changing for the better! 😍 The ending has me on edge so now I have to wait for part 2! Great read!!!

This was truly a great read! I felt so bad for Amoree but was happy when she decided to open up her heart and give Eason a chance. That Kyra though is a prine example of a bitter baby mama and I couldn't stand her at all. She and her friend actually hsd men who were taking care of their children and they out in the streets acting a fool. I need part two with the quickness to see where this situation goes!

Eason is the book bae. I hope Eason is not the cause of Amore’s pain. She needs her happiness because to lose that much in one day and still be sane is a lot. Jewels knows she didn’t lose with Honesty gone but it just hurts, but what he brother is hiding is way worst. Kyra and Skinny I just don’t see a good outcome.

I just love a well developed storyline! This book remained consistent from the beginning to the end. Amoree can’t catch a break. With the way things ended, I’m unsure of what to expect in the next installment, but I know it’s going to blow me away.

This is an awesome book! The storyline will have you wanting more. You can definitely feel Amoree's grief and wanting more for her. This book shows that love can be found again after you have been through hell and back.
