Noah's New Phone: A Story About Using Technology for Good

I just finished reading this book on Kindle with my second grader. She was very engaged and wanted to hurry on to the next page. When the story was over she asked for more books with the same art and way of storytelling. I really appreciated the discussion questions following the story. We went over those I considered appropriate to her age as some questions were geared for older children. The activity and challenge at the end brought the discussion to a whole other level. I definitely recommend this book.

Although this book is geared towards educating children, it is just as valuable for anyone who uses media or digital devices. I found myself committing to act more positively as an agent for change, and to question why I'm using my phone...is it to numb out or to mindfully take a break? This book brings awareness to the importance of using devices and technology for good. Great resource for all families.

As an elementary technology teacher, I am always looking for children's books that teach an important lesson on digital citizenship and keep my students engaged. When the internet at school went down just as I walked into my first computer class of the day last week, I pulled this book out and started reading. My 4th graders loved it and we had some great conversations! It was an instant lessons with no prep. I will be reading it to all my 3rd to 6th classes soon!

Used it as teaching tool for technology safety

I love these books and how they go about teaching our little humans about sometimes difficult topics and it leads to great conversations with our kids!!! Every parent/caregiver should invest in these books!!! Priceless

This story was great in helping my son realize that phones are not just for games and posting pictures on social media. Good things can be done on a phone. It is all how the person chooses to use it. I love the questions in the back of the book. They helped my son open up to me about his worries with social media and helped to set some rules and guidelines to follow when we are using our phones.

I love how we can teach our children through the story of Noah. It's a simple read and has a great message about the digital age your children will understand and relate to. It's not just a book to read with your child, but also a great tool to use for discussions about media. Questions and activities are provided that help children engage and further their learning!

A simple and provocative story that engages families to think about the positive and negative impact they can have through social media. It sparks questions as well as discussion about our use of cell phones and how it impacts our social interactions. I highly recommend it to all families!

This is such a great book and SO needed! I love how it makes this complicated (and sometimes overwhelming!) conversation into an easy book to read with our kids. I want to teach my kids to use technology for good and this book helps be do just that in a way that is easy for them to understand. I HIGHLY recommend this book!
