I give this book5 stars! Symone's story and the path she took to further her career and more importantly to become an integral part of changing America are nothing short of amazing. This message to millennials is inspiring and exciting. Symone lets young people know that this is their time to show up and show out, to not take "no" for an answer and to boldly and unapologetically claim their space in the world. Using her personal experiences, the principles of perseverance and courage are relevant for any pursuit worth fighting --particularly if you want to become a change agent. This book will be my gift to all the millennials in my circle!

Ms. Sanders is an amazing young leader and very inspirational for all ages. This book is a must read for all ages. We all have a right to speak up and to use our voices as we agree or disagree. Speaking truth to power is relevant today and will be in the future. Ms. Symone D. Sanders is a phenomenal young leader and I look forward to seeing what she pulls out of her tool box in the future.
Great Read for Millennial Perspective
I am not one of those Gen X Millennial haters. Having had the opportunity to work with younger people, I decided to listen to them and was reminded of myself when I was young. This generation is passionate and smart and will change the political landscape to more mirror their ideals. I like Ms Sanders and throughly enjoyed this book, where she encourages activism in even the smallest corners of our country. This woman has worked hard to get everything she wants and tells us to do the same. Excellent read to get us moving! I can’t wait to see where Ms Sanders goes next in her career. I’m grateful for this generation.

Symone D. Sanders is a wonderful writer. She is also a gutsy, smart, thoughtful, and fair person. I loved this book. I recommend it to everyone whatever political party you support. It is a book for everyone; but I especially feel it is important for young women. I am purchasing a copy for my 17 year old granddaughter.

Well written informative book
A great book for anyone seeking a way to impact change. Even conservatives.
I listened to this book in the audiobook version, so please know, the content I'm reviewing was heard in Ms. Sanders own voice, with a cadence that matches the tone of the book. This book is one I'll read again and focus on taking notes, it's that good. Her tone and content is presented in a confident but solutions-focused and actionable manner, with personal experiences used as the venue for her coaching. It's results-focused and VERY entertaining and empowering. It's a very interesting read, but it's not written in a way where you need to have a Ph.D in public policy to understand her. Best of all, this book is positive, optimistic, but PRACTICAL. It's motivating and really encouraging, with an authentic voice that mirrors the path that Ms. Sanders has taken professionally - it's clear she's hard-working and ambitious. The narrative in the book is ambitious as well.

Inspiring call to action
Symone is the real thing--an outspoken advocate out there making the change she wants to see in the world. I found the book personable, insightful, and inspiring: both learning about how she made her own way to the top of the political world in such a short time, and what people (even those who don't want to be political actors themselves) can do to help make positive change come about in this country and in their own lives.

I listened to the audio version, I really enjoyed this book.
The wrong tone for progress
Why would I read a book that tells me to STFU right on the cover? This may be a great book. However, What is needed today is more dialogue, not more people shouting their monologues. If one party is being told to shut up, no dialogue can proceed from there. You can’t judge a book by its cover, but I am choosing to judge this one from its title.
