Large print is not over large. With Stanley’s Life Principles in it, it is the best Bible that I have ever seen.

Although this version only comes in “large print” this concerned me until I contacted intouch.org, Charles Stanley’s organization. They responded that it was larger print than most Bibles, but not huge. I found this to be true and actually was a good thing, because I don’t like tiny print. I did not realize that some Bible versions/editions continue to be updated, as is the case here, with the advent of new technology and knowledge. I prefer this edition over all others, because it is still sort of poetic, but it is without the KJV thee and thou. Plus, since the way I understand it, the King James Version was at the behest of the king, this may make it not completely reliable in my opinion. We know what happens to people who don’t please the king. Henry the Eighth, for instance. Charles Stanley’s remarks about verses in this Bible made simple things in verses meaningful in reference to other parts of the Bible. His site has sermon notes that are complete and stand on their own without having to watch every sermon on the site. I know typical television sermons are easy to automatically bypass, but Stanley’s sermons today are very interesting and inspiring. His sermon is on Saturday evenings, Sunday mornings and evenings on different channels of the same sermon. Charles Stanley, who has to be pushing mid to late 80’s is a treasure. I just skip the first five minutes of the music. You ought to give it a chance. He doesn’t spare any punches, so if you are wanting that younger dark headed trillionaire’s everything is rosey message, you won’t find it here. These days in religion, preachers are too often more concerned with not offending anybody, than with telling it to you straight. Stanley does not gloss over the truth, but he is not fire and brimstone either.

Very Pratical Bible

This Bible for myself is an absolute Godsend. I have many study Bibles that teach many things in Theology but when it comes to Pastoral Theolgy ie practical application of the Word lacking. I was getting knowledge, but much to be desired in wanting more of what God wanted in my walk. Charles Stanley through his 30 Life Principles has given me a good foundation of Principles to live by. From a Pastors position he shows much in what our Principles should be and I have found much encouragement through his notes of his principles. Not every verse has a note, but many of his writings are article in size especially the introduction to each Principle. It's a form of a discipleship Bible. This Bible would be excellent to someone who needs a little structure in making sense in how we are to live before God and our walk with Christ. I bought the Kindle version and I've seen no problems and is easy to navigate. Highly recommended

You won't go wrong with this study Bible

The Bible doesn't feel cheap at all and surprisingly it feels very light in the hands so it is a Bible you can take to church. The notes are very good coming from a great teacher which he is very conservative in his Biblical views. The pages are somewhat thin but not too thin. I LOVE the text size which to me looks bigger than a 10 point font size like it says in the description. The fonts on the Charles Stanley Bible is much bigger than all my other large font size so that tells you a lot. This Bible for the price is excellent. If you decide to buy it, you won't go wrong with this Study Bible. The NIV was translated by a committee that holds to the inerrancy of Scripture so you can rest assured that God used these folks to give us a trustworthy translation. May the Lord bless you all and may you always read God's Word so that your faith may continue to grow in Christ and that you may be transformed into His image. spiritualminefield.com

I love Dr. Stanley's commentary in the form of Life ...

I love Dr. Stanley's commentary in the form of Life Examples of how God worked in the lives of the children of Israel. And how he reveals this through 30 Principles he gleaned from God's Word over the years. For example: Principle #26 "Adversity is a Bridge to a deeper relationship with God." We can see how the Lord used the adversity in David's life to draw him closer to Himself. If it weren't for such adversity we would not have the Psalms. Each of Dr. Stanley's Articles, Life Lessons, 30 Life Principles and additional commentary, even the introduction to each Book, further illuminate the heart of God and allows us greater insight and understanding into how the Lord may be working within our own life. Everyone would be blessed to have a copy of Charles F. Stanley's Life Principles Bible. And it comes in three translations: NKJV, NASB & NIV. The NKJV has profoundly enriched my relationship with God's Word and increased my intimacy with Him these past several years. It was time for a new one and I am loving my 30 Life Principles NASB! If I had the means, I would give a copy to each of my friends and loved ones.

I love it! I was comparing the NIV Bible in book form versus the Kindle Version. I opted for the Kindle Version and I am very pleased. I like being able to read it on my Fire 7 without needing lighting to read. It is also easier to read and flip through the Life Principles that give added information on verses and footnotes, etc. It is easier to take with me when I travel because of the Fire 7's size. Whether you purchase the Kindle Version or the Bible in book form, the NIV Life Principles Bible is a wonderful addition to studying God's Word.

Charles Stanley LIfe Principles Bible

I have always enjoyed Charles Stanley's sermons and devotional books. I like the commentaries in this bible as they are applicable to the scriptures and to our daily lives. Food for thought. The font is easily readable for older eyes. I like this bible.

Thousands of Years of Wisdom and Comfort

This Bible is incredible. I can't believe I am walking around with thousands of years of wisdom that can almost fit in my coat pocket. Thank you Dr. Stanley for this edition of the Bible that I can take everywhere. I'm very thankful to have God's Word with me wherever I go.

It's absolutely awesome!!

This bible shows you how to apply biblical principles to your everyday life. It's absolutely awesome!!

I find that I like the NIV translation.

Joined a new Bible study group, we follow Dr. Stanley and In Touch Ministries, figured I’d update my Bible. It’s different, but I find I really like the NIV translation. It’s funny to me, when I updated from King James to New King James I found it different as well.
