The aspiring heroes of My Hero Academia team up with pro heroes for action-packed missions!

The ambitious Team-Up Missions Program pairs groups of aspiring heroes with pro heroes to go on action-packed missions! Although Izuku Midoriya and his U.A. High friends are thrilled to participate, there’s just one catch—there’s no telling who will be teamed up with whom! From top heroes to students from other classes and schools, anyone could be on the same team.

Midoriya is excited for his first team-up mission until he learns that his team includes the explosive Bakugo. The pro hero they’ve been matched with is also a real wild card. Can this makeshift team cooperate, or will Midoriya’s first mission be his last?

Love it! Also...

So I just wanted to make this clear, this is a Japanese book translated into English. Japanese read right to left, not left to right. Also the cover is on the back! It’s made like that so if you think that the cover is on the wrong side, it’s not! Great quality loved the book! Def recommend!

Just okay for me

I think the writing was the weakest aspect. It felt like a mix of fandom and a gag comic. You get a short story each involving All Might, Mirko, Fatgum & Suneater with Yaoyorozu and Ida, Hawks, and Melissa (from the movie, plus her backsory) & Hatsume. Bakugo and Uraraka also get some scenes. If you're a big fan of any of those listed you might like seeing them, but for me it just felt kind of flat. The stories: All Might keeps getting delayed trying to deliver a form. Mirko patrols with Midoriya, Bakugo, and Uraraka. Hawks takes Midoriya and Bakugo on a raid. Melissa and Hatsume compete making Midoriya new gear. Fatgum and Suneater with Yaoyorozu and Ida help a girl search for the prince that saved her. Melissa gets some childhood backstory on entering the support field. Class 1-A fights a villain from a civilian kid's perspective.

Very good!

Not as good as the regular story line but very good! Very funny. Short though. Can't wait for more!

Plus Ultra Awesome

The book arrived in a bubble mailer and was in perfectly pristine condition. Even Iida would not find a flaw.

I loved it

The kids team up with pros and go on missions, these are nice side stories. I really liked Fatgum's team up it was cute. That's my two cents without spoiling anything.

MHA Team Up Missions volume 1

I’ve enjoyed the spin offs of the MHA series so far! Looking forward to this one (currently waiting for it to be delivered)! The artwork looks great! For new manga readers, this book is set in traditional Japanese reading format—it reads from back to front, right to left. Will update on further comments once my copy arrives. Update: My copy arrived and I LOVE this volume! The artwork is great and the one shot stories add some fun and extra depth to the characters! I was smiling during the entire volume! This is my favourite of the spin off titles yet! I can’t wait for the next one!

More of a cash grab (though not in an evil way) and just plain

I love MHA, it’s the only manga I buy and read really, otherwise I just consume anime and buy ones that I find fantastic and want to own. Vigilantes I support as well as the main MHA, hoping for Vig to get an anime. This product, along with the novels/light novels, and the comedic Smash manga do not hit the mark for me. Anyone who does appreciate them, that’s awesome, but they are not for me. The novels are pretty bland overall. I feel pretty similar about this book and the “series” likely trajectory. But hey, I’m not the target audience for all of it. I would have preferred something more like, a manga set in America with a whole new cast of characters (that would be an awesome RPG video game IMO). The ultimate spinoff to me would be a more adult MHA once the regular run is done, perhaps with more adult content, just as Harry Potter aged up with its fan base, perhaps MHA could do the same. Then for those of us who love MHA who are already adults, it would be a lot more in our wheel house. I do love supporting MHA including merch, but I can’t continue to buy these spin-offs that don’t appeal to me or hold the same quality.

AWESOMENESS

Got Team 7 vibes watching Deku, Bakugo and Uraraka working together!

Loved it

If you love My Hero Academia you'll like this obviously, but this give a bit more out of our favorite students and heroes with unusual pairing and side jobs that are connected to the main story. I love when I can get more insight to my favorite characters. Thing is the first two match up where easily guessed right away but still all the more enjoyable seeing them work together and problem solving situations when they arise. I wished that I could see some other students team up more though because there are many side characters that could finally have their time with a mission or who in this kinda book but maybe I'll get that in the next book this was a good start into it. Overall really enjoyed this and look forward to seeing more.

A Fun Spin-Off with Varied Adventures

Thank you to NetGalley, VIZ Media, Yoko Akiyama, and Kohei Horikoshi for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review. Being a solid My Hero Academia manga and anime fan, of course, I had to try this one out. It is very evident from the title that this book is a collection of short stories titled "Team-Up Missions" that revolve around various team-ups. Most take place after the heroes get their provisional licenses, though there was one story that was just a basic recap of the UA Class 1-A, which was the least interesting. There were two that tied into the first feature film featuring Melissa as one of the characters. My favorite was a team-up with Fat Gum, Suneater, Ida, and Yaoyorozu. A little girl was rescued by a handsome prince and she enlists the heroes to help her find this hero. I loved the twist on this one and it was all-around fun to see this team-up look for her prince. While these stories, didn't add much to the characterization or main story, they were mostly fun to read and felt very much within the world of MHA. This is a fun spin-off with varied adventures featuring MHA fan-favorite characters.

Funny and exciting

It’s here! It took some time to arrive but was totally worth it! Those little tales about Deku and friends are so funny.
