I was so inspired reading this book. Mother Moon developed a strong faith in God as a young child--"God is my father"--and that closeness has guided her through a course of hills and valleys that continues to this day. The word "sacrifice" is mentioned throughout the book. I found that profound because faith by itself is belief within the mind, but sacrifice is putting that faith into practice daily by one's actions. Mother Moon has provided me a model for self-reflection of my own faith and sacrifice to do God's Will. Thank you for this heartfelt memoir and its timely lessons for me and others, especially at this turbulent time in human history.

It also helped me gain perspective of the serious challenges she faced while growing up in a war torn Korea. I can't deny that my respect for her and her continual sacrificial efforts even at such an advanced age has deepened.

When I pick it up, the time disappears. There is no one who can tell the story of the Unification Church and Father Moon's mission from the kind of perspective that she has, and it feels surreal to be experiencing her life through this book. Highly recommend it!

On April 19, 1992, (pages 151-152), Hak Ja Han Moon inaugurated the “Women’s Federation for World Peace” before 150,000 in attendance in Seoul, Korea. In the following nine months, she crossed 24-different time zones and spoke in 113 locations. There was no rest. Nearing the end of December, Mrs. Moon’s last stop was scheduled at China’s Great Hall of the People in Tiananmen Square. It was an event that began to be very difficult, but in the end, very rewarding. Since China’s open-door policy was in place, everything should have gone smoothly. However, the Chinese military (CCP) refused to grant a permit to speak without first approving her speech. Mrs. Moon explained that it was not political at all. She insisted that the message had nothing to do with politics and that its focus was on women. One week later, they concluded, “We cannot allow this kind of content.” It did contain dozens of mentions of God. It seemed like the event was not going to happen until there appeared a shining knight. At that time, China’s leader, Xi Jinping’s son, Deng Pufang, comes to meet True Mother. President Deng was the chairman of the China Disabled Persons Federation, an organization consisting of 500,000 members. The day before the event, the young Mr. Deng invited Mrs. Moon and other Women’s Federation leaders to a reception held by his organization. It was a harmonious meeting, where we encouraged one another despite the differences in our systems and ideologies. That evening, the All China Women’s Federation welcomed us to their gathering. They never met before, so it felt awkward at first, but soon all of us ladies became friends and had a good time singing happily together. As the evening progressed, Mrs. Moon was assured she would give her speech, which she did. And it never wavered from her original speech with God being mentioned dozens of times. It was a great victory for God over the Communist world.

Do a Google search for Women Peacemakers 21st Century and you will find a list of Nobel Peace Prize winners and “Seven women peacemakers who should be on your radar.” But you won’t find Hak Ja Han Moon on any of those lists. After reading her Memoir you will have to ask yourself why? In her Memoir she talks of escaping from North Korea during the Korean War as a young girl with her mother and experiencing firsthand the horrors of war. Today at 77 She is known by Heads of State, Religious leaders, Economic leaders and Scientists on every Continent. She has emerged as a major force in the cause for World Peace. Nobel Women's Initiative take note! An intriguing, inspiring, heart-breaking, and heart-warming read.

This book "Mother of Peace" has brought me the understanding and the feeling of how our God is working in our time and how He has raised up people of faith to take His work of salvation to a higher dimension and becoming a living example, a textbook for us to read, to follow and the ladder for everyone to climb up to become the people that He needs at this time. There are heights never achieved by anyone in history other than those that have been raised and taught by God Himself. These were raised to be the ones to guide us all through the path of restoration. Recognizing the people of God is the most important thing at this time. They are the ones to bring forth the keys to open the doors that have been closed to us since the human fall. It says in Revelations 10:11 You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. This book has inspired me so much! Thank you Mother of Peace!

Having grown up in this Unification Movement I've seen Hak Ja Han Moon several times, but never got to learn her whereabouts. As amazing as she is and all the unrecognized things their couple has done, the thing that I found most compelling in reading her story is that I could relate to it. Perhaps if we all took on even a percentage of the responsibility she's taking for the world, we could see the world change in an instant.

Thanks to Dr. Moon I realized that woman leadership is the only hope for the world right now. She is the ultimate wonder woman with a heart that can embrace every single human being. Reading this book gives me comfort, heels anxieties, and empowers me to take action and transform this world into something that I couldn't even dare to dream. The world of love is a real and attainable thing!

This memoir follows the remarkable, real-life journey of arguably one of the greatest peacemakers of our time. How is it that a young girl, growing up in a quiet and humble village in what is now North Korea, could find herself some seven decades later meeting with heads of state and addressing huge gatherings at arenas and stadiums around the world? This is a story of unfathomable vision, self-sacrifice and determination. As you read through this book you may find yourself asking, how on earth could any human being sustain such a high level of commitment to creating peace in the world despite the many setbacks, widespread opposition and agonizing personal tragedies. My conclusion is that this could only be possible where there is a love for God and for this world that is also, unfathomable.

I don’t like to read, but I’ve made a determination to read this book for 30min. everyday. The more I read, the more I was immersed in reading it. This book conveyed that True Mother’s attitude in life is the driving force in creating a world of peace. I learned so much on how to have peace within myself and how to share that with others. Rev. and Mrs. Moon love the people of this world and throughout this book you will cry as you walk with them from country to country. Meeting leaders like Mikhail Gorbachev and Kim Il Sung, and how they were able to change their perspectives on life.

The story at the time of the Korean war was fascinating with a good depiction. The author's life was good storytelling of the era.

In the history of mankind, God had raised up many woman champions who brought changes to history and impacted the lives of millions, such as Joan of Arc and Mother Theresa of Calcutta. The "Mother of Peace" is an endearing term used by everyone that meets Hak Ja Han. Her autobiography reveals the difficult course that God's daughter is called to walk on behalf of God and humankind.

I was deeply moved as I read this memoir of a girl born in a tiny village in a then little known land of what is now North Korea, and of how now she is recognized as a peace maker by heads of state around our globe. This is a a thoughtful story of a life of giving, of sacrifice, and a life well lived. This book can give us insights on how to navigate these troubled times.

I am so happy to learn that the only begotten daughter has arrived in such a time as this to restore fallen Eve. It is the Breaking News of all time. It means that all women can follow her shining example of true love and become Mothers of Peace ourselves. If we women can do this, the world will become the Kingdom of Heaven that Jesus spoke about. The title of this book reminds me of a dream I had in time of great difficulties. In my dream I was sitting at a special meeting and crying profusely. One holy lady came to me and started sucking up all my tears, one by one. Like it said in the Book of Revelation, God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. The Mother of Peace, as Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon is called, writes: “Ultimately a true and lasting peace can only be achieved when we come to know and understand God, Our Heavenly Parent.” In this memoir, she reveals the true heart of God. Hak Ja Han was raised being told by her mom and grandma that God is her Father. All her life, she said, there has never been a moment that she did not keep her Heavenly Parent with her. Born in what is now North Korea, she escaped as a child with her mother and grandmother, devoted Christians who received revelations of the Second Coming of the Lord. In former times before the communist regime, Pyongyang, the capital of north Korea, was called “the Jerusalem of the East” because of its many churches everywhere. All the organizations that she and her husband, the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, created for the sake of peace are breath taking. Not only that, but she liberated the spirits of slaves in Gorée Island in Africa, where the slaves left the African continent against their will to be shipped to Europe and the Americas. And I was there in Austria during the liberation prayers and ceremony she initiated for the victims of the concentration camps. I wanted to be there because my husband’s ancestors were the enemy of my country, and it was important for me to totally forgive them, and also help the victims to be free by letting go of all resentments and pains, and start a life of glory in the other world. I experience the Mother of Peace, the Only Begotten Daughter, has the power and authority to do this because God asked her to, and because her life is a sacrifice of love and service to God and humanity. Her words move me so much: "We are one family and one Holy Community of Heavenly Parent. With the conviction that “to stop is to fail; to persist is to succeed,” I keep moving forward undaunted, no matter what difficulties come. I need to be a mother of love and benevolence who can overlook faults and embrace all circumstances with a maternal heart as wide as the ocean. That is why, even today, I stay awake at night with the heart to cover all the world’s children with blankets while they sleep." Now, she says, the Promised Land is in sight. When you read this book you will shed tears, tears for the suffering of all humankind throughout history, and tears for the suffering Hak Ja Han Moon and her husband went through to bring us all God's love. And God will wipe away all our tears.

This book will change your life. The testimony and story of the Mother of Peace and her journey towards creating a world of peace is what we need at this time in order to bring peace, comfort, and healing to all. 100% would recommend.

Although this review will not appear under the "verified purchase" label, I did read the book cover to cover - just procured it from another source. I am an active member of the Unification Church and have great admiration for the person and accomplishments of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, the Mother of Peace and subject of this book. Because she is an extremely busy woman, she does not have time to write books. Obviously, this volume was produced by a ghostwriter and someone who really should have done his/her homework more thoroughly. The author took pains to portray Dr. Moon's spiritual stature, but the hagiographic tone of the biography paradoxically does not do justice to her great spiritual depth and the very real drama of her life experiences. Rather than making Dr. Moon more accessible to readers who are unfamiliar with her life and work, the tone and style create a distance that is almost impossible to bridge. The book lacks the personal touch and flavor that are the hallmarks of any compelling biography. It is telling that the book almost exclusively received five-star reviews, most likely written by committed Unification Church members like myself. But reviews should evaluate book content, not express approval or disapproval of the subject covered, something many reviewers confuse. The subject of this book is wonderful, the quality of the book itself mediocre. All the ghostwriter accomplished is preaching to the choir, not reaching those who should be newly informed about who this amazing woman really is. As a leader and entrepreneur I found this memoir to be an incredible example of what it takes to make dreams happen. To read about a woman with a HUGE vision backed by 1000% commitment has been so empowering. There are so many great quotes I've written down to remember as personal mantras like: "If you want to think big, go out to sea, it's easy to follow a set path on land but not at sea." What moved me most about this memoir is her deep love for God and humanity. That's the fuel behind her steadfast commitment to do whatever it takes to heal our world and turn it into a place where every single person lives embraced in love.

Among other areas, the most striking part of Hak Ja Han's book, was her and her husband's trips to the Soviet Union, and North Korea. As professed world religious figures, Mr. and Mrs. Moon definitely put their faith in God, meeting Michael Gorbachev, and Kim Il Sung, on their home turfs. Not only did they meet and converse, they also explained that their ideology of communism was a failure, and they needed to change. Talk about guts! That's really putting your life on the line. Just finished the book. Amazed about so many times she traveled the world to bring her message overcoming her own tiredness. Her view about true womanhood is refreshing!

Hak Ja Han Moon's life story is a testimony of what a life based on faith is REALLY like. She endured harsh living conditions growing up, poverty, witnessed the horrors of the Korean war, and was persecuted for her religious beliefs. Through it all, she maintained her faith, and she prevailed. The book provides a fascinating look into the life of one of the most remarkable people of our time. Reading it can give you a much deeper understanding of how God can work in our lives. I highly recommend it.

Not only a difficult read but has much false teachings such as being the only begotten daughter of God and a false messiah complex. Couldn’t finish it.

With so much going on in the world right now, it can feel like there's no hope or way forward, except for rehashing all the same pains over and over. But Dr. Moon's testimony of how she has lived her life with absolute devotion to God and for building peace in the world, gives me so much hope that peace can be possible. I feel like there's so much I have gained personally from learning about her and how I can contribute toward creating a better world in my own life.

I bought this product back in June of 2020. It's now been over 1 year with it and I still have 4 chapters left to read. The thing that stood out to me the most was how much Dr. Hak Ja Han was confident in who she was in relation to God and all of humanity. I was also able to learn about her personality, such as being spiritually sensitive to people who are in the spiritual world. Finally, reading this book has shown me that Dr. Hak Ja Han has a sense of vision for the sake of the world that is rare to find in world leaders today.

It had never happen "True Heaven" in human history. It is not a heaven even there is one person who is not happy. We have been always fighting, struggle, and sadness since begin human history. But I found a key how can we make a True Heaven in this world through this book!! Definitely, I would like to recommend it to people who is looking for the True Peace, True Happiness and True Heaven in their life.

Reading this has brought tears to my heart. I'm so moved by Mother Moon life of devotion and dedication solely to do God's Will. She grew up with the belief that God is her father and with the commitment that she would realize the dream and hope of God. AMAZING BOOK, CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!

The path to creating a peaceful world comes alive as Dr. Hak Ja Han gives us the details of her life, a life that prepared her to co-lead with her husband, Rev. Sun Myung Moon, an ever growing worldwide movement for living for the sake of others. Who would have imagined a woman with a deeply sensitive mother's heart would be leading the way and succeeding to break down the barriers to unity and love in even the most difficult places around the world.

Mother Moon as she is affectionately known leads us gently into an understanding of her life and mission. I see so many similarities with the life of Rev Sun Myung Moon her husband as well, her deep love of nature, her intense spiritual training, her gradual awakening to her true value in her relationship with her Heavenly Father. Her vibrant and deep relationship with God is surely the source of her spiritual courage and true love. In more recent years she expressed that she was God's only begotten daughter as her relationship and communication with her parent God is so deep and natural. She draws us all into this realization that we all have this potential to be filled with God's spirit and essence as well. All human beings can have this profound understanding of their value as God's children and that we can have a beautiful relationship with our God who is our Parent. God does not need to be distant and all mighty but is as close to us as our husband or wife, our parents and our children. This is my initial review and commentary having only read the early chapters of this memoir. I am sure that i will find further insights and realizations as i delve deeper into this memoir 'the mother of peace'. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to others.

Great book this! It's unusually well-written and accessible for this type of literature. Very thoughtful about how to promote change towards a more positive world where I'd like to be living, and which I can also contribute to. People are asking me for it in other countries where amazon doesn't reach. I am re-ordering, another 10.

She is leading the world towards peace and is a true role model to all of us. If we would all just practice a little more of the values she resembles - living for the sake of others - the world would truly be a better place !
