Always challenging stereotypes
The Pink Bean Series is full of well-liked, fun characters that thrive at breaking stereotypes. Each book is a new story with new characters, making each enjoyable on its own. However, each book is peppered with characters from previous instalments (even if briefly). Personally, I love having those characters revisiting throughout the series, seeing their evolution and how friendships grow stronger makes each story timeless. As Book 9 of this series, More Than Words is beautifully written, bringing fun-loving characters to life. In this story, Katherine and Rocco are involved in a new and exciting business venture that will create unlike partnerships. New friendships will be forged, while others will be evolved; romance will come with its challenges, and stereotypes will have to be reevaluated. Katherine and Hera’s views will be challenged by labels, will have to face old demons, and both will have to figure out how to embrace the newness life brings them. In my opinion, Harper Bliss’s creativity has produced another awesome book. Each character is well developed and throughout the story each of them will have to rise to the occasion. I can’t say this is my favorite book, because each story has its own magic making each book a favorite. This is a great series and I can wait for Book 10! (No pressure, Harper! 😉)
Harper does it again
. Another wonderful addition to the Pink Bean series. As usual the characters are well developed and the story believable. While weaving in and around the established characters of the Pink Bean world you meet Hera who has to fight herself to get by some deeply held beliefs, a journey all too many of us taken. All in all an enjoyable read. My only complaint is the abrupt ending and it is too short
Good strong read....
I really enjoyed the way this book tackled a true problem that some people run into. It gives readers another perspective from two different sides that you don’t read about often. 3 stars because it ended too quickly. I would of liked to of read more on how the two main characters proceeded past their evening. Maybe a last Jill visit to round the story off.
Once again an Awesome book
This is a truly wonderful love story. This the 9th book in your series that I have read and it is still a wonderful story told in a lovely and warm way. The relationship of Kat and Hers was filled with enough suspense and drama to keep my eyes and mind anticipating the next line. Looking forward to book 10 in the series. I am now so involved in the Pink Bean Series that I am now ordering the paperback versions to add to my personal library.
Outstanding
While reading Kat story, was surprised that she left the escort business and later opened a highly competitive market of selling coffee..; Just couldn't Kat as a barista. Hera's issue on intimacy was in her way to complete happiness, however, the best thing about fear, is you have to face it. It is human to err as of Hera's situation with Sam and menopause. Good story, I am guessing Jill is next? Good series.
Love this series.
Katherine, a former escort for women, is opening the third Pink Bean with her best friend, Rocco. Rocco’s aunt, Hera, is a construction company owner who recently lost her partner. A great novel about shutting your out of a painful world and learning to opening up to happiness. Recommend.
What a Wonderful Series
Have enjoyed each of the books in the Link Bean series. Stresses different problems folks cou!d face but work through their issues. So glad there are at least 3 more of this series. Bring them on.
Healing requires open heart and soul.
Her a and Katherine both need a new direction in life. It was so beautiful to experience the depth of journey for them. Acceptance, forgiveness and love for themself bring a deep connection to each other. Oh what a story.
Fabulous!!
Harper is an amazing author! Another in the Pink Bean series. I cannot wait for the next book. I am so excited that there will be a few more books before the end of the series.
Really Good
This author paints feelings, emotions, events in such a compelling, vivid way and with such precision that you're almost left speechless. But I have to say, Hera made her transition quicker than I'd think able.

Another Hit
Constant progression in characters, realistic situations and representation of women. Thank you Harper Bliss for these stories and a lifetime of literary memories.
Another Hit!
Harper has another hit in one of my favorite series. My only complaint is that it seemed to end too abruptly. Maybe that will walk us into Pink Bean #10! And maybe Jill has a story to be told.
Bliss is a great story teller!
Katherine ( Kat) and her partner Rocco are starting a new Pink Bean coffee shop and are in need of renovations so Rocco ask his aunt Hera to do the work for them. Both Kat and Hera are starting major transitions in their life. Hera is just resume in her life as a contractor after a year of morning for her partner's death. Kat has just left a lucrative career as a premier women's escort. All seems to be going well until Kat realizes that Hera is having a difficult time getting over the fact that she was an escort. Kat seems to be really taken by Hera and tries to establish a friendship which Hera has no interest in. Can these two ever find common ground and learn to actually become friends? This story takes on many unexpected twists and turns and once you start reading it's hard to put the book down. Another very enjoyable part of this book as in all of the Pink Bean books is the re-introduction of characters from previous books, which is a great way of reading about old friends. Harper Bliss is a great storyteller and she's never afraid to write some heat in her stories. She has a way of developing characters that you just fall in love with because they are so relatable. I highly recommend this book and know that once you start the first page you will be hooked into a fabulous adventure.
A strong ninth installment to a fantastic series
This has been a fantastic series for many reasons. I love that they are each easily read in a single session (at least for people like me who can't stop). And they each cover a somewhat controversial topic. I enjoy almost every standard lesfic trope, from ice queen to age gap to second chance, etc. More Than Words seems to hit much less uncharted territory that I am calling "the lady doth protest too much". Hera spends a great deal of the book complaining about Katherine from her appearance to her former occupation, then suddenly realizes she's attracted to her after a period of grief and guilt. Usually when I finish a Pink Bean I can figure out who the next installment will feature, but this book didn't seem to introduce a new potential starring character. I hope that doesn't signal the end of the series!
Harper's done it again
Harper Bliss is probably the only romance author whose books I must read. Everyone else is hit or miss for me, but when I see a new Bliss novel I must read it. She infuses her work with the right amount of steam, angst and love. They’re not formulaic; she tackles different subjects all the time from nonmonogamy to menopause to guilt and fear of love and intimacy. I enjoyed getting inside the heads of both Hera and Kat and seeing how they both gradually, slowly change their minds about each other. The secondary characters were also well done and the sex scenes were infused with love and emotion. This novel is a keeper, one to be read slowly and savored. I received an ARC for a review.
List of women's issues
I swear I think Harper Bliss sat down and wrote a list of the most controversial and pressing toppings of women's issues and said, "I want to write a book about each of these subjects." She is well on her way of tackling that list. This book amazingly has two from that list. A former prostitute and the prejudice she faces when people find out how she used to make a living. A woman who lost her partner and how when going through the change of life was robbed of her sexual desire. Throw in a new coffee shop and you have a new installment of Pink Bean. Can we as humans change even after years of set patterns and prejudices? Harper loves to
Wonderful
This is a wonderful story about finding love and healing old wounds of the heart. The two leading ladies are well written. Katherine is a character we've met before, of course, but Hera is a new character, who is Rocco's aunt. Rocco, of course, is Katherine's best friend and new business partner in the third location of the Pink Bean coffee shop. Much of the character development is focused on Hera, since she's new, but Katherine gets a good deal more depth as well. It's a wonderful standalone story, but probably better appreciated if read with the rest of the series. I look forward to more in this series.
Heartfelt Emotion
Every time I think a Pink Bean book can't get any better than the last one that I've read, Harper Bliss delivers again. This time it's a story between ex-escort, Katherine, and her new Pink Bean coffee shop partner's Aunt, Hera. There is instant chemistry of the not so pleasant kind as Hera is hired to remodel a shop for the third Pink Bean location, this one in Bondi. Eventually Katherine and Hera put their differences aside and then their real chemistry emerges but not without challenges. I'd recommend that you read this emotional and heartfelt book.
Awesome!
Excellent addition to this series. This the story of Katherine (Kat) the compassionate former escort from a previous book in the series, who wanting a change in her life opens a new Pink Bean Coffee shop with close friend Rocco. Rocco’s aunt Hera hired to remodel the place initially clashes with Kat, but they gradually change perception of each other and work through personal issues that stand in their way. Compassionate, hot, heart wrenching and satisfying read. Lovely end, but wanted much more.
New Love at the Pink Bean
Like everything Harper Bliss writes this is so well written and compelling that you won’t want to stop reading. I love how quickly I become submerged into a tale of her weaving, not coming up for air till I see the words The End. This is Katherine’s story and it’s a good one. Ms Bliss shows the struggles she, and her love interest Hera, overcome to become better versions of themselves and grow to be worthy of love and a relationship. Its beautifully told and so worth the read, even if it ended too soon. I can’t wait to see whose story is next and what adventure they will have!
I Don't Know How She Does It!
I don't know how Harper Bliss manages to immediately pull her readers into the characters and their lives, but I'm a definitely a fan! I always think, "this one is my favorite", but then I read the next installment and think the same thing. Beautifully written, totally engrossing from the very first page and definitely tugs at your heartstrings. The complexity of the characters and the reintroduction of characters from previous installments make you feel like you're witnessing a family, and the way that it evolves over time. I absolutely loved this book and feel sure that that I'll have to eat my own words after reading the next installment, but--for now--it's my favorite one in the series.
Very Quick and Enjoyable Read!
An interesting set of characters that feature Kat who is a retired escort, Rocco who is Kay’s new business partner, and Hera who is Rocco’s aunt. This book is in the Pink Bean series which I love! Each book while featuring a different set of leads also gives us a little glimpse of some of our past leads. I loved Kat and thought that Hera was a very interesting character. I found More than Words to be a very quick and enjoyable read. I would read it again! I read an arc.
Harper writes with such heart
All of Harper’s books are so beautifully written. I highlight things that speak to my soul in all of the books that I read. I highlighted so much in this book! It is magnificent. She just puts so much heart in her books. Yes, they are wonderfully erotic. But they are so much more. That is why Harper is one of my favorite authors ever. The whole Pink Bean series is worthy of your read. Don’t miss out on any of them. I received an arc copy for an honest review
Starting over?
Sometimes life throws you a curve. Sometimes that curve pushes you to start your life over in a new direction. Sometimes the lives of two people who are starting over cross paths and even become entangled. Harper Bliss has captured this intersection of lives in a colorful and exciting way. As a reader, you will quickly be captivated and intrigued by all of the characters in "More Than Words". You may even want to reach out and slap some sense into one while hugging another. This is an excellent story of joy and pain, love and loss. Well written and fun to read!
So not sure
Dealing with grief can be difficult for the best of us. How many of us know that guilt can make it even more so. Hera blames herself for not being there for her partner. Kate deals with her own demons. Finding each other in this battle of wills will prove challenging for them both. Read their journey of self discovery and each other. It doesn't disappoint. Can't wait for these characters to be revisited in a future story as only Harper can do.
Another stellar pink bean book
Quicker read than I expected, but do NOT let that discourage you from reading. It's an excellent story about finding love and learning to let yourself fall in love again. All set in the wonderful pink bean world. I was dying for a Katherine book since her encounter with Caitlin and Jo and I wasn't disappointed. And of course since it's Harper, there are some wonderfully steamy scenes! Thank you for another wonderful book!
Special Series Sequel!
Another great installment of the Pink Bean series. This is a wonderful book that just seemed special to me. It addresses issues that many women seem to experience. I loved Katherine and Hera and how they were drawn to each other. This book stresses the importance of honesty and acceptance. Harper always draws the reader into another world with her mastery of words. She did it again with this one. Many thanks to the author for another escape from real life. Looking forward to the next one and maybe more of Jill's story?
I loved every single word of this delightful story!
Once again, this author has outdone herself by creating characters that I can easily relate to and adore. Katherine and Hera have a lot of emotional baggage and I must say that I have so much love and respect for these resilient women because they have overcome circumstances that I'm not sure I would have been able to handle. Each story in the Pink Bean Series always tugs at my heartstrings and I really don't want this awesome series to end!
Another good read from Harper Bliss
First off, I'm happy to read that Harper is extending the# of books in this series. I like that Harper writes stories that really makes you think about your own beliefs and option. Katherine and hara is the perfect example. I'm sure so many people think just like Hara first did. Thank you Harper for making me think about just how open minded I really am . Good story!!!
I love the variety
Every time I think the pink bean series has completed every type of couple there could be, there is another! I love the hate 'em to love them type and where the MC's change their opinion after meeting someone who fits a stereotype that they thought they understood. Doesn't disappoint and is a great read. Keep 'em coming!
Enjoyable Read!
I am thoroughly enjoying the Pink Beans series and this installment didn't disappoint. I picked it up on a rainy Black Friday and finished it in one sitting. I enjoyed the introduction of character Hera, and I would love a follow up on Katherine and Hera's relationship. Both with baggage, manage to put it aside to find romance. Great read, and I can't wait for the next installment.
Series keeps going strong!
I love this series and after 9 books I still marvel at the fact that each one is so unique in the new topic it addresses. They are definitely not recycled versions of each other. I love the growing cast of characters, though I felt there wasnt a lot of involvement of previous characters in this book. I think I know who the next book will be about, and I eagerly await it!
It just got better
What can I say other than job well done. As I finish book 9 in this series I feel like Harper has once again amazed me with her words. The story of Kat was one I have patiently been waiting for since she was introduced a few books backs. Her story was perfectly written. I laughed and cried and felt so many emotions. Once again I say well done
Ended too soon!
I think Hera's hangup corrected itself a bit too quickly, once it had been revealed. But the back and forth between her and Katherine was invigorating. It was also neat - as it always is - to see such vulnerability and openness as we saw in Hera, when she would let herself go. The shrink, Jill, was another interesting character.
Another Smashing Success!
Ms. Bliss hits on topics we'd never think to ever even consider happening in our relationships- but without seeming forced upon the story or impossible in any way. These are things that can and do happen, even if infrequently- but they are always addressed with care and concern and plenty of good stuff to balance out the difficult bits.
Another great read !!
Book 9 in the Pink Bean series is another hit. Kat and Hera are the two main characters that each have their own issues they need to work out before they can fully advance into a relationship with one another. Jill is also introduced and is funny, interesting and relatable. Great read, only wish it was longer !!
Finding and accepting the one
I find that Harper gets better with each new book she writes. Her characters are more completely developed and therefore feel exceedingly real. The storylines have also become more realistic plus having a group of known characters interwoven into each story helps.
Serious addiction issue to this book😬😏😏
COULD NOT PUT THE BOOK AWAY!! Read it on my phone, on my computer, on my iPad....just could not tear myself away from the suspense. Knowing the creativity of Harper Bliss, I patiently, sort of, waited to see the new characters develop through the story and how they attached themselves to other Pink Bean characters. Well done ma'am.
Another great installment in this amazing series!
Harper's exploration of women's sexuality in her Pink Bean series always causes me to rethink and reshape everything I think to be true about sex. This book is no exception. It's thought provoking and challenges our stereotypical views of sexuality. Loved the book; love the series.
Harper Bliss does it again!
Every book is just as good as the One before it! The story is well written and the 2 main characters are so likable you can’t help but root for them threw out the book. I’m so thrilled to see there our a few more books in the work in the future for this series. Well done!
