Karter's been nothing but trouble since the day he learned to walk. A werewolf with a knack for fucking shit up, he’s caused so many problems that even his pack is tired of dealing with him.
Karter is left alone and with no one to care. If he doesn’t get his life in order, he’ll end up dead. When he’s dragged in by the people who will happily put a silver bullet in his head, they give him an opportunity instead of death… to feed vampires — aka a walking blood bank. To feed the enemy is unheard of, but with nowhere else to turn he reluctantly goes.
Why can’t he stop craving things that no werewolf should crave from bloodsuckers? Four vampires and one werewolf. What should be a disaster may turn into something so much more.

WAY TOO DISGUSTING. BE CAUTIOUS.
Way too gory. This was twisted, demented and absolutely disgusting. To each their own if you're into that but the author should have warned that literally EVERY ASPECT of this book has something to do with violence, pain and blood. THEY RIP INTO EACHOTHERS CHESTS TO USE THE BLOOD AS LUBE AND STICK THEIR TONGUES INTO OPEN WOUNDS AND WRIGGLE THEM AROUND. I couldnt get past more than 5 chapters it was so disturbing. Be careful when buying this if these things disturb you.
Disappointing
I read it to the end, so that's an automatic three stars from me, but I didn't really enjoy it. It wasn't the blood play - though that was strangely clinical and not hot for me. It was that it was poorly written and characterized. Each man felt like a cipher, with two personality attributes given to differentiate him, and that was it. Usually I highlight the sentences that I like or moments that spoke to me as I read the book, but this time I didn't take any notes or highlights. To be honest, I found Karter, the were/blood source, a bit annoying, and so none of the erotic connections sang for me. There could have been some real poignant moments but they just felt flat. I love some intense vampire/were drama and was up for that, but this missed the mark for me.
Enjoy the blood
You get what the title say, it's bloody and there is sex along with all the possessiveness that comes with four, age old vampires that found their new favourite treat. Karter a needy but bratty werewolf that wants to belong but at the same time don't believe he is worth anyone's time. Braydon the fun loving masochist, Eddison the strict sadist, Weston the Dom and Axel the Daddy. That is how I see them all after finishing the book. They all fit their role in Karter's life. He never fit in anywhere because he didn't need just one, he needed four to keep up with him. While the story revolves around Karter coming to the house and how things develop there along with his hatred for mugs, it's still a story I liked. Sure there could have been a better world building but it didn't take too much from it. Since most happen in a house.
Loved it. Read the warnings.
I loved this series. I would definitely recommend. For the bad reviews, make sure you read the warnings. Authors know their books aren’t for everyone but they leave warnings so you don’t have to waste your time or their reviews. I felt the characters were well developed and I never got confused on who was who. Their personalities were distinct enough that they were easily separated in my head. There was a good combination of sweet and sex. I took one star because there was several instances were words were missing in sentences or there were sentences that the author changed her wording on but didn’t erase the previous though. I assume the author has beta readers so I’m surprised how many their were. I also felt there were some jokes that became repetitive and lost their funny.
Loved it!
This is only my 2nd book by this author, my first was Crimson Painted Snow in the Grim and Sinister Delights series. Let me tell you I absolutely loved that book. So I decided to try this series in hopes it was similar.... Meaning giving me everything I wanted.... Lots of hot sexy times, m/m or m/m/etc, and an actual good story. I thought this book was great and I'm so happy I gave it a shot. The few negative reviews I've read really tick me off bc they're complaining about the blood play. They are putting the book down bc they couldn't stomach it, it made them sick, it was disgusting, etc. When there is clearly a warning in the blurb and before you even start to read the book. If the author is giving u a warning and you know it's not your thing but continue to read it anyway. Then give it some bad review bc of that exact thing and nothing else... Well.... Uhhh... Come on now.... Really??? Don't think that's to fair! This series is a darker m/m/etc romance. I personally think it's a great read, pulling you in and holding your attention. Please ppl heed the warnings. Brea Alepou please keep them coming just like this..
Quite a dirty little smut read, if poorly edited
I enjoyed this because of the paranormal factor and the smut, but the grammatical errors and typos that managed to make it into a "published" product were astounding. Some of the scenes had no transition and were quite jarring, but then again, that's not why I bought it. Read more like amateur fanfiction than a novel. Maybe that's why it was $1.
Loved
I read the book linked to this series first about the necromancer and his vampires. And now it all makes a bit more sense. Although that one still holdd a place as being my favorite, mostly because it was the first one I read. This one truly shown. I loved how the story progressed and drew me into from. The beginning. I love this author and will continue reading through her stuff.
Awesome
Definitely not for the squeamish. The plot and story are interesting and different. I liked the characters and their growth. There were issues to overcome and the story wasn’t rushed to get to the end. I would recommend this book to a friend WITH a warning this is not for the faint of heart
Dark, with lots of blood
Karter and his four vampires made for a heck of a bloody, sexy, bloody story. Not much world building, just centered on the relationships developed by the five men. Dark times were had by all.
It's a good read, extreme if you dont know what you're reading, but very enjoyable.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is rather extreme for those who dont have exposure to blood play or cant handle gore well, but I thought it was very clever the way the author used the vampiric nature of the characters to incorporate blood play. I'm looking forward to another book in the series! My only rub is that the way pain is depicted and experienced by Karter doesnt feel accurate, it seems he doesnt really feel the pain unless he doesnt want it which isnt entirely accurate to masochism, but all in all I still enjoyed it a lot!

Good read
Some of it was a bit slow going, but overall a good read. I enjoyed the idea of a werewolf and 4 vamps and thought this was done well.
Omg I’m in love!!!!
❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🐺 ❤️ If you like pain play, blood play, a little gore and heat then read this book!!!! Totally hot and something I really enjoyed!!! Ok so I’m not normally a PNR kind of girl, but I think I’m slowly getting converted to a whole new world! I’ve already told Brea these boys (four sexy vamps and a wolf) are mine!! ❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🐺 ❤️ Karter is always getting into trouble and now that he owes money he has been temporarily exhiled from his pack. When the goons catch up with him, Santiago gives him a way to pay him back... By taking on the job of feeding vampires... ❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🐺 ❤️ What All of them don’t get is why they are all so drawn to each other. Vampires and werewolves have been enemies for thousands of years. But the chemistry is there between the 5 of them and hot damn it’s sexy as sin!!! ❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🐺 ❤️ Weston is a Prince. He is the one with ultimate power and it definitely shows with his connection to Karter! Braydon is the young one, wanting to please. He loves pain play and Karter gets a chance to sink his claws into him! (HAF!!) Eddison has urges he can’t control, loves inflicting the pain. He and Braydon have sort of out-grown each other... lucky they have a new toy to play with huh! Last but not least is Axel. The warrior and the biggest worrier...he fights the urge at every opportunity until he realises he may not get another chance! He’s very hot and cold, but will the wolf turn him into a lovey vamp? ❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🧛♂️❤️🐺 ❤️
4.5/5 Stars
More Than Blood is a standalone novel by Brea Alepou. More Than Blood was a different type of book than I normally read. This book is a darker book with a lot of violence, pain, blood, and more. Please heed the trigger warnings that are given in the beginning of the book! I have read some darker books and liked them, and Brea Alepou wrote in such a way that I was intrigued with the storyline. Basically, Karter is a werewolf and he basically gets kicked out of his pack. Due to consequences of his actions he ends up having to feed a group of vampires. On top of that vampires and werewolves typically do not get along. Reading about Karter and his interactions with the vampires and other people were interesting and kept the story going. I liked the overall story, and I read this book pretty quickly because I wanted to know how everything will work out I the end. I do wish the story was longer though because I feel a few things were rushed or were not explained in enough detail. One thing I wished was expanded upon was how the vampires and Karter fell for each other. I think the physical attraction happened pretty quickly despite them being enemies from the beginning. I just wish that there were more details about how the vampires and Karter grew to care for each other rather than having a lot of sex. Also, in the end Karter suffered a terrible thing, and the author pretty much glossed over it after it happened. I wish the author went more in detail in how Karter had to heal from what happened to him and have the vampires help take care of him. I would not have minded reading a longer book and I would enjoy the story more if that happened. Overall, I enjoyed the story and I grew to care for the characters. My main wish about this book is that I wish this book was longer, especially about the character insights and making the ending longer. Again, this book is pretty dark and graphic so please read the trigger warnings and please heed them. I recommend this book especially if you like dark romance books. I plan on rereading this book, and reading other books by Brea Alepou. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
A book to make you fall in love with vampires again
Before I start fangirling, let me just quickly get this out there and in the open. This book is sooo NOT for everyone. It is dark, it is bloody, and it has a chapter that had me legit tearing up because of what was happening to Karter and his sister. It is a truly dark romance. And I loved every second of it. You've read the blurb, you know what happens. Hot werewolf gets in trouble and now has to live with four hot vampire as their own personal blood bank. Let the twisted shenanigans begin. Spoiler alert, most of those shenanigans are smutty. I mean don't get me wrong, other things happen here and there but a good chunk of this book is a smutty good time. I was not complaining. The blood didn't even phase me after a while. However, if you even think you're hemophobic, maybe give this one a pass. Now even though there's a lot of smut (and blood) there is an underline story here. One that I can only make a couple of guesses about but will for sure be explored more in the second book. However, overall, she's a romance. Like there are some legit swoony moments in this book. You've got Weston being as fine as he wants, Axel and Karter's first time being such a sweet contrast to everything else, even Eddison has his moments. You know, once he's done being Eddison. This might be a spoiler but I think it's more of a warning. Eddison is the most sadistic character I have ever read. Again, don't get me wrong, me and my issues were very into it. But uh...thank god Karter has werewold healing. All I'm going to say about that. There's also A LOT of character development going on here. Especially on Karters part. I went from mostly tolerating him, to flat-out hating him and his selfish self-destructive behavior, to clutching my chest in agony because I finally understood him. I'm not going to go so far as to say I like him because I spent way too much of this book annoyed by him, but he does wake up so to speak. So stick with him, he does get better. I mean if you hate his overall personality that's another story but I'd like to think he does get a little endearing as time goes on. He's a fascinating character and I don't think I would have loved this book so much if Karter wasn't who he was. The vamps I wholeheartedly adored because again, your girl has issues. I definitely think their story and background is something you should explore because there's a lot to each of them. I'm kind of in awe how Brea Alepou was able to do it and keep it all so balanced. But if you'd like a quick rundown, here we go. Weston is in charge and very dommy and swoony. Axel is the broody protective teddy bear. Braydon is a little sh*t but not really and a masochist. And Eddison is Eddison. He's a lot sis, I don't even know what to tell ya. It's always the nerdy ones I guess. This is arguably one of my worst reviews but I told you I was going to fangirl. This book was just shockingly so good. I mean in all honesty I was expecting it to be good because of who recommended it to me but still. I feel like this is a genre I want so much from and I finally got it. There are few typos and grammar issues here and there but I hardly noticed them because the story was that engaging. This is an idea that some would say isn't super original but the way it's done here, I would argue otherwise. And if you still want to fight me, I will stand here and say thid is the best execution of a dark paranormal I have ever seen. That is a hill I will die on. I mean finally, here's a dark romance, that is a romance we can follow and root for. The darkness comes from external forces, not the characters and how they treat each other. Except for Eddison. But his is all consensual so it's okay. Yes, some of the dark elements come from the characters but it is because of what they are, not who they are. Vampires and werewolves traditionally don't get along. Don't expect fairy floss and kittens where it doesn't belong. This book has action, an interesting wold, amazing character development, and hot vampires that are proper vampires. The scars left from early 2000s YA have finally been healed! Also named another book were you high key hated the main character but also low key kind of like him. Go ahead. I'll wait. All hail the queen. 10 stars because there's a second book and I've already one clicked.
My Opinion
Honestly, it wasn't a bad book. The characters were interesting and so was the dynamic between the characters. Karter is attracted to danger and he's in need for a wake-up call, so when his pack forces him to deal with his issues, he gets stuck servicing a coven of vampires. I liked reading the interactions between the characters, though some of the scenes were quite disturbing. The scenes depicted in this book might not be for everyone, but once you get past the bloody/kinky sex, it's actually an alright read. I just have three problems with this book. 1. I wish it was longer or that we actually get to see Karter learn about the vampires. I want to see them get to know each other. I can see the growing attachment between the characters, but I want to see how they all fall for Karter. I want to feel it. A relationship should be based on more than sex, and the only thing Karter really knows about the vampires is their sexual preferences. 2. In the end, Karter has this horrific thing happen to him, and yet the author makes it seem as if what happened was just like getting bit by a mosquito. In actuality, there should be some mental and/or physical effects. I would've love to see Karter heal from what happened, and see his vampires comfort him in an effort to help him through it. That would've been a great way to show how the characters love one another. 3. Karter and the vampires should have more animosity toward one another due to the difference in species. This is slightly mentioned and shown, but still with this in mind Karter jumped into bed with the vampires too quickly. Still despite these problems, I've never read a book quite like this, and I like surprises. So I give book 4 stars.
3.5 stars
This paranormal romance story includes a cast of intriguing characters and plenty of sexy bits. However, is it wrong to wish that the book had included more of the worldbuilding and plot than romance-related drama? As much as I enjoyed meeting Karter and the vampire den to whom he finds himself in service, so many details dropped about the “outside” world intrigued me a lot more than how Karter came to enjoy his place with Weston’s crew of vampires. A strong warning for tentative readers: Karter is there as a source of food for the vampires, and that’s not always sexy. Depending on your tolerance level, a significant portion of the sex in this book isn’t very sexy either. I imagine it all depends on how much a reader can suspend their disbelief in sharing headspace with a protagonist who only looks human on the outside (and then only sometimes). Alepoú depicts Karter very much as a “werewolf,” and the vampires are bloodthirsty monsters (with various definitions of monster), rather than humans who can turn into a wolf and prefer red wine with dinner. Outside of the feeding and sexual dynamics (which are sometimes separate, sometimes together), the romance element isn’t emphasized too much. We’re “shown” how well Karter meshes with each of these men, but there’s little thought process behind it other than a need to fulfill desire. And while I understand Karter’s interest in two of the vampires, Weston and Braydon, I was incredibly unclear on the reasoning behind his need for the other two. I’m interested in reading the next book in this series mostly to see how Karter continues to fit in his new “pack.” And because Edison is delightful for a cranky, undead workaholic. Honestly, I’d read pretty much anything about him having to deal with his crazy vampire family.
Cool vampires and a rebellious werewolf
I liked how different each character was and how they each fit together. The story is mostly from the point of view of Karter, the werewolf. He is the kind of guy who screws up a lot, says the wrong thing at the wrong time etc. The story starts with him at odds with his adopted werewolf pack and having large gambling debts with mafia types. He is left with no choices when he is sent to a vampire den to be food for money to pay off his debts. Each vampire is a very different character. Karter finds himself drawn to each of them in different ways as they push different buttons. Sexy times have good variety with this bunch. They give him an order and discipline that he has not been able to do for himself. I would like to see more of these characters in a follow up book.
Read the warnings - this book is graphic, but it's also sweet.
If you like dark and graphic, this book may be for you. If you don't like dark and graphic, heed the warnings and don't read it. Don't come back and post a low rating because it was too graphic and too gory for you. That's not fair to the author because you've been warned, and many people enjoy this kind of story. This is my first foray into more three men together and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also don't read many paranormal books with vampires and werewolves, but again, I enjoyed this one. Werewolf Karter finds himself kicked out of his pack and with a debt to pay, limited choices of where to go. He winds up with a group of vampires as a food source. Kind of like a milk cow, only with blood. And male. The relationships between the five men (four vampires and the werewolf) grows quickly. To be clear, the vampires are not intimate with each other, but all of them are intimate with the werewolf. Each man contributes something different to the relationship that goes from being a job to being a choice. Even though it does feature some pretty graphic sadism and an on-page rape, this book is really rather sweet.
Fanbloodytastic! 💋💜💋
This was a fun fast read. While a smidge on the dark side, I would recommend to reader fans of Nicholas Bella. 💖 I would love to see more like this from this author, as these kinds of quality reads are few and far between. The vamps in the story are dark, sexy, and in no way sparkly... Well, perhaps they sparkle a tad in the eyes of our MC. **giggle... You have the Prince, whose power knocks everyone to their knees... literally! The warrior, and Prince's right hand, who also has a tender spot for those in his den. The sadistic brainiac, who handles the den's finances and has a fetish for playing with his bloody food (pun intended). Then there is the youngest vampire in the den who looks like a twink but will put a hurt on anyone who he deems a threat, and has a hard time keeping his food from dying, which currently has him in trouble with the Prince and drinking his food from a mug instead of from the source. Finally, there is the latest food source... A smart mouthed werewolf, recently kicked out of his pack, who is working to pay off a debt to a low-life human gangster. While making it out of this latest mess alive is the end goal, success is anyone's guess, with the wolf's brain to mouth filter constantly on the fritz and the fact that werewolves and vampires have been enemies for years. GODDESS, I loved this story! It was hot in all the right ways, quirky, spunky, funny, and just...just...bloody great!💖
One of my favorites.
If your not into this kind of book, then it would make sense if you didn't like it. I loved everything, the characters, the smut, everything. Could use the slightest of grammar fixes, but I hardly paid attention to that, focused on the characters. I'm am still waiting for book two, and ready the holiday books as fast as I can. The only thing that I didn't like was the ending. Karter was r*ped and it was treated like a bee sting. It wasn't shown how he healed or truly reacted to the entire thing. A question though, if Karter is a werewolf and I've seen no sign of them living a longer life and he's their food, how is their romance going to last? Won't Karter die of old age and his lovers get to watch? I would be heartbroken! LOVE THIS BOOK.
Deliciously dark
Deliciously dark This it's one of those reads that truly captures its reader I enjoyed the idea of a werewolf and vampire as lovers Karter is a f $ #@ Up! Who is lost in his own whinny masochistic behavior - I swear that boy looks for trouble at every page turn After finally committing one faux pas to many he is asked to leave his pack until a time when he can prove he has matured (insert insane laughter here) With nowhere to go, he accepts a deal that will allow him to work off his debt - he will be food for a vamp coven - And why not accept it isn't like he has any other options available I have to say here that this is one of the most entertaining and well thought out casts of characters I have come across in a while - Each has such a unique and different personality - the combination works perfectly for the storyline The bond between the characters was a slow build that lent emotional credibility to their relationships and the chemistry was explosive What do you get when you mix a masochistic werewolf with bloodsuckers? A bloody good read 💓 Definitely, recommend for those who enjoy m/m and paranormal On my tablet full review to follow
5 big delicious stars
5 BIG delicious stars Woahh ....I love love loved this read. It had everything I like!! Wolfs, Vampires, a lot of sexiness and even dark and violence. Amazingly captivating writing style. It stayed steady all the way!! Meet the main : Karter...ahhh Karter... an attitude that brings him only trouble. Abandoned by his pack and now owned by four vampires... his mouth as filthy as his thoughts. Weston... Prince Weston... his authority is dripping off his posture. Beautiful and strong. Axel... the warrior. Defensive, rugged and just what Karter loves... only his eyes like to love and hate him Eddison... with so much hunger for Karter Braydon... the youngest one, you can only love him. Karter is a walking temptation for all four vampires. He has to feed them but he wants more than that and it seems they want to give in... Karter reluctant to obey but when Weston shows his tantalizing power... Karter is on his knees A lot of sexual tension and activity... a lot of blood drainage, blood play, the collar, the power play, the humiliation, the bloodshed and all the f* .... this all was VERY delicious written down. I loved it all. Strong and consistently written story with a great plot!! Can’t wait to read more of this author Read and reviewed for LesCourt ARC team
Just ok
I wasn't offended like the other negative reviewed. Know what you are reading before you read a book! No, there is no beastiality or cannibalism. This is a book about a werewolf and vampires, people!! But, the writing style was juvenile, even if the subject matter wasn't. Karter went from reckless and immature (stated, not shown or explained) to a kempt man and a food source. There was no emotional growth, just an acceptance that they could want him. Call me a romantic, but I want more in a relationship than "you taste good and are good in bed." He even stews about being bored at one point that all he does is eat, sleep, bleed and have sex. Sorry, but i need more depth from my MC.
Everything a Dark Paranormal Romance should be
I don't understand the negative reviews this book got and I am so glad I gave it a try. I almost didn't read this because of some of the bad reviews, but now that I have, I don't understand what the negative reviews were about. This is a Vampire story. Yes, it has blood, it's in the title even. Their use of blood was no worse than most Vampire stories and if you know the genre, you know that. Don't read about Vampires if you don't like blood, duh. That should not even need to be in the trigger warnings. I really did not think their use of blood was over the top. I really enjoyed these Vampires and enjoyed all their relationships. I also loved the main character, which I was not expecting, as werewolves aren't usually my favorites. He was sexy hot and all messed up at the same time. I loved his vulnerability, honestly, and his foul mouth! To me it was clear he was just longing for love, and he ends up finding a lot of it. I think it was sweet how the other guys knew him so quickly and what he needed. As one of them says, "He's just a lost soul..." And then I seen one reviewer even said they couldn't make it past the fifth chapter, so imagine my surprise when at the fifth chapter there has not even been one sex scene yet. At that point he is just meeting everyone, so what could have offended them, I can't imagine. If you just read the summary you would she mentions Vampires, a Dom, a sadist and a masochist, so if you don't like what you are reading, that is entirely your fault, and not the authors. But if you are like me, and you love all that is dark and lovely, you will love this story. The only thing I thought was that it should have been longer, so I am looking forward to reading the next one.
Four vampires and a werewolf. This is a joke, right? Nope.
What a rush! Brea had created a wondrous world filled with intriguing characters. There are evil enemies, honorable, sexy vampires, unexpected romance, fame, rescue, humor, and the whole twin thing. It explores the concept of what home really means. I loved this book. Even Karter's twin Lola can't save him this time. Told to leave pack lands, he is taken to the man he owes. There is a solution. Become the feedbag to vampires. Karter never expects to have feelings for them. Prince Weston, Eddison, Axel, and Braydon are soon caught up in their feelings for Karter, who they consider their wolf. When Karter leaves, trying to save his sister from being hurt, they will do anything to get him back. There is violence (not gratuitous) , a vampire "hostile takeover" try, family angst, blood, mmmmm sex, and hope. You will love this book! This book contains adult themes and language, mmmmm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
More gore and less relationship than I expected
For a book that features a 5 way relationship, there was surprisingly little time or effort put into establishing the relationship. There was no romance, at least not till the very end, and then it felt rushed and a bit forced. The characters were not fleshed out, and there was so much that could have been done to build up the relationship amongst all parties, and make this a true polycule which simply didn’t happen. There was also a surprising amount of gore in the book, and a prominent pain kink in at least two characters. I understand that it’s a dark romance, and I was not expecting a fairy tale, however do be warned, in case these topics are sensitive for you. All in all, a decent book, a good idea, but not my cup of tea.
3,5*
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!! To my ratings: My old 3* is now a 3,5* and clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*: 5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the at he kids’ series from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King), it's like an A+ 4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books) it's like an A 3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in hospitals). I can recommend them definitively! It's like an B+ 3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year), it's like a B 2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok) It's like a C-, D 1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the whole line, dismissed, repeat the class
not your mother's vampires lol
*Blunt language ahead* Wow, a reverse harem that doesn't read like a g***b**g or pure wish fulfillment. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved it because it reminded me of this anime I once watched that had this same basic premise (mc goes to live with vampires and becomes their blood supply), which had a lot of potential but never delivered beyond the horror aspect or redeemed any of the "hero" characters. So, reading this novel, which did, was so satisfying! The hardest relationship to fathom was Karter/Axel. It seemed convenient that things fell just into place, but I really enjoyed Karter's relationship development with Eddison, Weston, Braydon. Note: there is bloodplay, but I didn't find it to be disturbing since they're all supernatural beings with healing abilities. And it's a dark romance with... vampires. The author does list the warnings/triggers in the beginning of the book, so please read if that concerns you. I will say this, the noncon doesn't happen between the mc's and to me, the dubcon rating is pretty generous because Karter gives his consent in some capacity every time, so my assumption is that rating is more to do with his working capacity for the four other characters.
Dark and enthralling
I couldn't put this book down. I was completely enthralled with this story. Please note: You do need to heed the warnings. This is a dark book. There are trigger warnings you must head. But if you like it dark, you like kink, you like that not one relationship holds all the answers, then this book is for you. The main character is a werewolf; Karter is just down on his luck. He doesn't go looking for trouble but it certainly finds him. In an effort to work through one of those troubles, he becomes the blood bank for four vampires - the prince, the softy, the sadist, and the masochistic sub. All of which offer something different for Karter. This story meets a lot of dark needs and is a recommend if that is your type of thing too!
A very hot MMMMM read but not for the squeamish!
I really enjoyed this story. I would heed the warnings if you are sensitive to blood play though, it is graphic (gory as well as sexy). It is a dark vampire story after all ;). karter is sort of the central character. He manages to mess up a lot and even though it's thru his own poor choices you can't help but feel sorry for him. He finds his place in life where he least expects it, in a den of 4 vampires. I enjoyed the interaction of Karter with each vampire as well as their interactions as a whole. Everyone has different personalities/preferences but they all come together to make a perfect quintuplet (?? lol). I highly recommend if you are not squeamish!
Recommended.
I read this book in one sitting. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did because I don’t typically like MMM+, but the relationships worked. Slight spoiler, I suppose... the MC is a switch and a sadomasochist, which lets him bond with the other characters. I enjoyed his foul mouth and his attitude. It didn’t feel excessive to me like rebellious characters often do. I had to dock a star because of the editing. It’s not badly written by any means, but it could use a proofreader. Some of the errors took me out of the story, which is a pity. Overall, though, I recommend it.
Kinky & dark but still Sweet for a HAREM
First...you need to be prepared for a bloody story...but I not sure why you are reading this if you not prepared for bloody mess and kinky times when you know this is about 5 men and paranormals to boot?...I loved this! Karter is a troubled werewolf who frankly, cannot keep his mouth shut even when he knows it will get him into deep trouble..and trouble it brings him big time! Kicked out of his pack, in debt to a gangster, he becomes a blood donor to a den of old vampires but from there, things frankly begin to become a bit better as they seem to understand or least deal with his snark/sarcasm and his self destructive tendencies. Enjoyed this immensely and looking forward to reading more of this author. Read on KU and will be buying this!
Hot read
More Than Blood by Brea Alepou is kinky m/m/m/m/m paranormal romance story... yes, Vampires and a werewolf are getting down and dirty.... and it is HOT! Karter finds himself a blood donor for a group of vampires after he gets into trouble one too many times and gets kicked out of his pack. What should be a deadly disaster, mixing a werewolf with a vampire, turns into so much more... something sexy and very satisfying. I really enjoyed this book. It was entertaining and kept my attention. Lots of sexy scenes and some funny dialogue. Definitely recommend this book. I received an advanced reader's copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
I loved it
So I'll be honest I was a little nervous to start this due to the reviews I read but the blood play in my opinion fit with the storyline. It is a great contrast to see two opposite sups find live. Most romantic vamp stories lean on the light side but don't delve into vamps true nature. This book laid it out perfectly the true nature of a vampire as well as creating a world that is unique. I absolutely recommend reading this and taking the journey. I am anxiously awaiting the next book after the Xmas one
No such thing as a bad review
Honestly I grabbed this book because I read a 1 star that peek my interest so bad I had no choice but to read it. Honestly everything that the reviewer said about the blood and Gore is real so if that type of thing bothers you pass on this. It didn't bother me at all because it all added to the characters that were written so wonderful. I love the different characters and they way they each interacted. I'm also happy about the ending because when I was 70 percent done I wanted to know what happened to someone else. I'm so happy for all 5 of the characters. A great read
Great Read
This is the first book I’ve read by the author, I’m glad I took the chance. The characters all were written well and had such great personalities and each had their own chemistry with Karter. There’s snarky comments, a few gory moments, some angst and steamy scenes to offset some of the more bloody ones. I do have to say, the extreme moments of blood and knife play which occurs with Eddison and Braydon did have me speeding through those parts, so you are warned. But overall a definite must read if you like vampires, werewolves and harem M/M stories.
Captivating
I love vampire books so I thought I would give this a try. Not only did it have vampires, it has werewolves and was dark. I must say I was completely captivated and enthralled from the beginning and pleasantly surprised with the outcome. A lot of times you can guess who the villain is in a book and I was happy to have guessed wrong. This book has action, adventure, love, and so much more. Can't wait for more of this series.
Surprisingly good...
Usually when you have a book with so many characters involved in a relationship the book is filled with nothing but sex ...and there was a lot of sex ....a lot of graphic violent sex ....but I was pleasantly surprised that there was still a storyline in the book . Did I skip/ gloss over the sex ? Yes. It was to violent (unessaryly violent imo ) but the story kept me intrigued I will probably read more from this author in the future.
Hot and Sexy.... and a little uncomfortable
Take a werewolf who is an irresponsible mess. Add four controlling vamps. Not your average vamp/wolf love affair. Karter gets in trouble and is given over to the vamps to pay his debt to a mob boss. As a living blood bag. Its not long before he begins building relationships with the four. Interesting read. Grabs your attention straight away. A bit dark. A bit BDSM. A helluva ride.
Captivating
So, I'll go ahead and give the warning. Yes it's a little dark and definitely a little gory. So if that's not your thing then move. However, I loved it. The different dynamics and seeing them all fall for each other was beautiful. And yep there was some super hot/kinky scenes. It was a hard to put down and I loved everything about it. From the sweet to the sexy to the kinky to the dark. It's a perfect blend of all those things. And I'll definitely be reading this author again.
Brea is the best!
This book, and all of Brea's books in general, are absolutely phenomenal! It has some very hot and steamy scenes in it, while also having a good plot line that doesn't get lost in all the "other stuff". Some of the scenes are pretty intense, so if your flavor tends to be more vanilla, then this book isn't really for you. However, if you're feeling adventurous and go into it with an open mind, then I promise you won't be disappointed. Really, Brea is an exceptional writer with a very creative mind. I'm always impressed when people still manage to make up their own content/world's about the paranormal, especially with all the material that is out there now on the subject. If you love this book and it's series, then you absolutely need to check out her next great series Our king, Our Master. Or just simply check out her website! You can pick any book and have a truly great reading experience!
Looking for dark twist of vampires and shifter here you go
Have to say if you like some dark and twist to your stories, then you will fall in love with this story as i did. With the characters and the atmosphere they find them selves in, i had a hard time keeping away from the book. You will see the dynamic change between Weston and his Den with Karter. What do you do when as soon walk through the door have to get into every face with your attitude. Like the twist with a wolf shifter and vampires. You have to believe with this combination there going to be blood, do get turn off from that. You will also fall in love with the characters. I am hoping that there will be more from these boys. highly recommend this book today
Thoroughly Enjoyed
I saw some bad reviews on here, but they obviously were looking for a different kind of book. 4 vampires and a werewolf together is hot!!! I liked the story, the characters were interesting, and I liked the ending. If you’re looking for vanilla sex, don’t read this. If you’re looking for 4 vampires that want their werewolf in different ways, at times kinky, and of course with lots of blood...we are talking about vampires!!...try this book.
new dark author
Brea Alepou is a new author of dark paranormal (which is what she billed herself as...surprise, surprise!) ...and yes it IS dark! This was a great start to a new series. There were some parts that weren't explained very well but overall it was well written and enjoyable read with werewolves, vampires, menage and dark themes...you've been warned. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
Love this book!!
Now first I am going to say please read the warnings before reading this book. This definitely has things that not everyone will like. Now for me I absolutely love this book!! This relationship that each of the characters have with Karter is so different from each other but so prefect. I love that each one was different. I couldn't stop read until I started and I just want more. Love this book so much!
Hot, Hot, Hot
All I can say is that this book had heat level of 1000 lol. There's a lot of different kinks incorporated in the story and the author did not disappoint. I liked Karter's snarkiness and he fit well each of the vampires. I'm glad that Karter was able to find a place that he belonged, his own found family.
HOLY......!!!!!
Folks, let me tell you this right off the bat. This book is definitely NOT for the faint of heart! It's a gory, bloody, gross, nasty, raw, intense, messy, deliciously dark, super kinky, smoking hot, and intriguing tale. If you want an engrossing walk on the wild side, and a thriller guaranteed to keep you hooked from beginning to end, then I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this awesome book ASAP!
This was way better then some of the reviews said it was.
I almost didn’t read this book because of the few bad reviews it got; but I took a chance and was very glad I did. This book was very good and had a good story to sink into. I guess the author fixed the typos that were mentioned in one review, because there wasn’t any that I noticed. This book does have blood play, but the review that talked about cutting one of the guys chest made it sound way worse then it actually was, in my opinion, and in the context that it happened it worked. I highly recommend reading this book if you like taboo books with HEA/HFN ending and like/don’t mind blood play and other aspects of BDSM. If you don’t like those things, then in my opinion you should just not read this book, because there is no sense in reading it, not liking it, and then leaving a bad review because you don’t like one of the above mentioned kinks.
Ok for me but not for everyone
If you were the type to spend time reading large amounts of fanfiction, you'll find some fun here. For everyone else, the story and characters might be too one note to get past. I didn't mind it tho because it was free on Kindle Unlimited and not everything I read has to be thought provoking. There is blood play in this book but the most extreme scenes are only in the first few chapters. I personally give it 3 and a half stars.
Yessssss
I want sure when I started to read this if is was gonna be something i liked but as i read i couldn't stop. I loved it ... I want more of it. It was funny it was sexy it was what i was looking for... the different dynamics of characters. Oh the sarcasm was life it was like a Male version of me. Well a shifter Male version. But I loved all of if and want more great job I'm a fan now
Dark and sweet
There is definitely a dark, taboo side to this story, but it’s also a story about how people (or vampires and warewolves) come together. The story is also sweet and the MCs care about each other. I’m excited to read more in this series because I get a feeling there is so much more to this universe than the author gives us in this story.
Great first book in a series
Karter is a werewolf who attracts the wrong kind of trouble his entire life. As he is forced from his pack and away from his twin sister, he never expected to move in with four vampires, the natural enemy of werewolves. Each vampire is unique and has something completely different to offer Karter, if he can just allow himself a little happiness.
What’s with all the freaking long hair?
The story seemed somewhat interesting but I was just so repulsed by all men with long hair that I stopped reading at 17%. Shame too cuz like I said it seemed interesting. But really, totally REVOLTING! What is this, the 1970’s? Like gag me with a soda straw!
I fell for this book
After reading the blurb I wasn't sure what to expect but I loved these characters. There are some editing issues but not enough to make me stop reading. And I agree with Karter, we all need to use the f bomb more often.
Do you want blood with that?
When Karter agrees to work of his debts by being a blood donor for a next of vamps, he never expects to find a place to belong. There was a lot of hot, dirty sex, almost always including blood (one of the vamps loves it), but I wish there was more romance/relationship development.
OUTSTANDING!
"More Than Blood," was out of this world. I love a dark romantic read and this was by far, hit the nail on the head for me. I listened to the story on audible and was simply amazed. Karter and his vampires, SEXY. I enjoyed their story, along with the narration. I so highly recommend. ENJOY!
Loved!
I loved everything about this book. Karter and his Vampires were fantastic. Outside of Karter, Brayden is my favorite. This book may not be for everyone so read the warnings.
Loved it
Wow this book has everything. Laughter, adventure, sexy sex. All of the men were so different, and it made you want to be with all of them. Definitely reading the next book.
Keeps you entertained
I have never read this author before and am glad I did. I greatly enjoyed this book and the sex scenes were very hot. Warning, there are some very intense bloodplay scenes, so be forewarned. I hope book 2 comes out soon.
More Than Blood
While there were a few spelling and grammatical mistakes this book was really good for a new author. I was really hooked from the beginning honestly. I think Carter just needed someone to show him he could belong. I was really ticked off on the beginning with the whole sister thing, but the ending was great. Overall a very good book and I hope for more soon.
Fast paced
A very interesting read. I enjoyed the harem dynamic and felt each aspect as well as the group was very well written. I picked this book on a whim and was not disappointed. I found it to be dark, bloody, sadistic, and pleasantly touching.
A great sexy story about finding where you least expect it.
Karter is a werewolf whom trouble seems to find easily. To pay off a large debt, he becomes a blood donor for a den of vampires. Complicated relationships between Karter and the vampires ensue. The sex was intense between them, together and one on one. A great sexy story about finding where you least expect it.
So freaking hot🔥🔥🔥
I loved absolutely everything about this book. Werewolf with four vampires to feed, there's a different dynamic with each but not one of them is willing to let their wolf go once they sink their fangs into him.
Terrific Book!
First time reading Ms. Alepou, and I adore her. The characters and their stories are incredible interesting and well written. Thank you for your hard work, and I look forward to read more.
So hot it burns!!
Absolutely love this book!!!! I love the kink and the relationship that Karter has with everyone. It is a dark read so be aware of that but there’s nothing too gory or especially hardcore (to me at least). If your are not comfortable with dark reads, I would not recommend this book.
Wow!!! I loved this book.
After reading a Nicholas Bella book, its hard to find something of similar content and even similar writing, but this lady has achieved it and I am a fan!! This book is more for the violent/ kinkier fans but if you have read anything by Nicholas, you won't be bothered. I highly recommend this book!!!
Good Read
Quite enjoyable read with characters you can't help but fall in love with. The only thing I can say as a critique is that it needs a little more editing. Definitely recommend this book.
Great read. Nothing like I expected
Disturbing, delightful and delicious. Real story about a lost soul and the angels/devils that ground his heart and his soul.
So very hot!
This was the first thing that I've read by this author, but it won't be the last. I love reading this type of trope and seeing Karter realize that he doesn't have to be alone, even if that means that he has to change everything he believed that he wanted; and realizing that different is better.
Amazing read
I really enjoyed this book a lot! I like how all the characters had their own personalities and each had their own special relationship with Karter. I loved it and thought their romance was amazing and sexy. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
Loved it, its bloody and some grammatical errors but a good read.
I loved this book. Yes it has some grammatical errors and honestly, most books do. Also, this book focuses on extremely bloody and pain play. I personally loved the main character so much and by the end my least favorite character became a second favorite. If you like extreme paranormal romances this one is for you.
Feeling shifty
I like how imperfect the characters are. They have hang ups and make mistakes they have to own up to. I also thought the book was steamy and at the edge of what I was comfortable with, but I liked it more because it was challenging. I want more!
good book
I am EXTREMELY picky about books with poly relationships. The relationships don't always seem equal or balanced to me. But this is one I loved and I hope there's more of these guys to come.
Funny and Hot
Read this book in a day. Karter is so funny and all the men are sexy yummy. The interaction between all the guys were either sweet or emotional and ended in hot steamy OMGoodness! The angsts in the story was barely worth reading, that’s really the only complaint I have.
very good and dark
haha this was dark and interesting and sexy and gross and just all these amazing emotions thrown together. haha. however i enjoy dark so none of that was anything bad for me. i really liked it and the writing was amazing and the content was dark and wonderful haha. very good
Really Good :)
I love the relationships that develop in the book, and cannot wait for book 2(I also enjoyed the Christmas short.) It does have a few darker elements such as blood and knife play, but i don't think its too over the top. Overall just can't wait for the sequel.
5 Male strong pack.
Nice read. Easy-going storyline. First time reading an all-male harem book. I’ll be looking for more books of this author to entertain myself.
Bloody? Yup... Awesome? He!! yeah!
One of my favourite B.A. books to date! Is it a bit gory, as others have complained - yes, but it IS book about vampires & werewolves, so what do you expect? I truly enjoyed the characters & the dynamic that grew between them.
Very Original
This is a new (to me) trope that I enjoyed very much. Usual caveats about young self-published authors (editing, etc.) but Alepou is a great storyteller.
Some blood play
I loved this book. Would love a second book as well. I thought the blood play was rather realistic to expect since they are vampires.
Great story
I really enjoyed this book. I didn't know where it was going, but the story sucked me in and I could not put it down. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.
Was awesome!
Blood, sex, and a little bit of gore. Honestly who doesnt love an all male harem of supernatural creatures. This was book was great. I can only wish that it was longer.
Enticing page turner
I really enjoyed the dynamics of these characters, you definitely want more of all of them! Can't wait to start the next one!
Couldn't stop reading
I really enjoyed this book and characters. It was mostly well written so no major complaints there. Bonus points for the cute artwork of the characters at the end!
Loved it
This is so well written! Dark with pieces of light. A perfect blend. I can't wait to read the next book.
Very good
This one was quite twisted and dark at times...but I loved it! The main characters were fantastic and the book was well written...really enjoyed this one but it is not for everyone.
Paranormal romance
I loved the book! Didn't want put it down, even when I was at work. I finished it in less than 24 hours. A male shifter finding love and the place he belongs with vampires. Read it!
Enjoyed
I liked it. Yes was gory (ish) but I expected it to be. I would read a second one
Excellent if a bit cheesy
This was is fabulous. It hit all the right spots for me. mostly one bottom boy. Lots of of lovin’. Best of all all the characters worked really well together. Hope for more.
3 1/2 stars.
The concept for this book was great, but the execution of it was lacking. It bugged me that the POV's weren't equal. The book needs some editing.
Loved this book. I love all books on wolves, vampires and dragons.
I loved it all. I wouldn't change a thing. Keep them coming so i can read more. Your friend Millie
Good
Good
Awesome
Pinot usually the kind of book I read, but it blew my mind. Sexy ass vampires and a cocky wolf. I can’t wait for more.
Great harem romance
While this is dark, read the content warning, this is not too dark and thus is still an excellent romance. 4.5 stars.
Good read
Wow ...I enjoyed this tale on a lazy Saturday morning with a few cups of tea. I’m not usually a fan of romance involving so many people but the writer did a great job of pulling the reader in....and to characters were fun. Some of the scenes were a bit extreme but it’s “dark” romance after all.
