Llama Llama Gram and Grandpa

I received a copy when I got my first grandchild and have read it to all the grandchildren since then. I now give a copy to my friends who are having grandchildren. It has a nice story about a llama staying overnight at his grandparents house. Very sweet.

We bought this for our 2 almost 3 year old granddaughter. She can really relate to the story. We keep it at our house. She visits often and has her own version of Fuzzy. She always wants to read this book out of the ton we have for her!

I just wanted a nice story about the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren so I feel like this book title is misleading.

As a grandparent I'm a huge fan of Anna Dewdney's Llama Llama series books (the little ones love them too). So of course I had to immediately order this latest book when it was released earlier this month. In this story little Llama Llama is going for his first overnight ever. He loves spending time with Gram and Grandpa even though he's probably a little nervous. He helps mom pack his overnight bag, and gets ready for the car ride. After mom leaves and Llama Llama goes to unpack his bag he realizes "fuzzy" Llama is missing and he can't stop thinking about him. However, he's still enjoying some nice snacks and some new ways to keep busy and have new kinds of fun at Gram and Grandpa's, but when bedtime comes he is missing "fuzzy" llama. Grandpa, however, manages to come to the rescue and makes everything all right. What is so nice about this book and the other Llama Llama books in the series is that they discuss a problem or issue and come up with a solution in the process. Each book is told in simple, rhyme verse which children (especially little ones) love and find easy to memorize as well. The bold illustrations, pleasing colors and details make this book and this series a pleaser for kids, parents, teachers and of course grandparents.

I bought this for my 23 month old granddaughter!! She LOVES Llama Llama. As with all little kids they like to help turn the pages and of course they are a little rough when they turn the pages. You can only tape torn pages so many times. This book is a Board Book. That means that the book and pages are made thick and sturdy like a board. The best part is that my granddaughter loves it!!!

My grandson is obsessed with these books of llama llama. He is 10 months old now and lives when we read them to him. He stops what he is doing and just sits and listens to the stories. Llama llama books are always a good read and they teach things to young readers ( or should I say young listeners) I will be ordering any of the ones we don’t already have from here

My son is a huge llama llama fan! I would say this book takes a close second to the original llama llama! I have read many of the other in the series, but done is as good as this one and the original! It was even better for us because it was a perfect mixture of my son's grandparents on both sides. Storyline: Little llama is going to his grandparent's house for the first time to spend the night. He accidentlu leave fuzzy llama in his mom's car. The grandparents do manu different activities with him and while llama secretly worries about fuzzy. Then it's bed time and llama gets upset, but luckily grandpa llama still has his fuzzy llama from when he is little and shares it with llama.

Love the llama llama books. This one continues the great series.

If you are a grandparent, Buy this book. The beautiful pictures have fabulous color, and is really loved by my 5 year old grand daughter. I placed a small picture of each of us on the first page. It's like coming to see us. Thanks for reading this.

The book was basically as described, except there was pencil and crayon on a page near the beginning of the book and a slight tear (1/4" maybe) in a later page. Other than that, the book was as described.

This was a gift for a foster-grandchild, to help give them some *healthy* relationship words. They love it, and spending time with Grandma, and their very own fuzzy-llama toy.

In this house we love the llama llama books! this one is just as good as the rest. In this story little llama spends the night with gram and grandpa and finds out how things are different but just as good. It is a good story for little ones with a gram or grandpa in their lives. It would also work for children who are going to go spend time with another family member. For example you could say look how little llama spent the night with gram and grandpa and had fun in a different house just like you spend time with your .... The book also shows the love between the characters and normal childhood feelings of being away from home.

I am finding that any Llama Llama book is worth adding to our collection. We bought this to take when we stayed with our grandkids for several days, and they both enjoyed it as they could relate. Little Llama goes to stay with Gram and Grandpa for the first time but soon realizes that he has forgotten to bring his Fuzzy Llama. Oh, he doesn't want to tell Grama and Grandpa, but how will he survive. Though distractions help him forget it for a while, he eventually has to fact his dilemma. As expected, there is a wonderful solution at hand. Beautiful, colorful, expressive illustrations and minimal text. Very cute.

My 3 yr old loves the Llama Llama books. He also loves his grandparents. So what could be better than a book that combines the 2? :-) Cute book about Llama Llama having an overnight at his grandparents. Its a perfect book for a little guy or little lady getting ready to have an overnight with his/her grandparents for the 1st time.

We are big fans of the Llama Llama series of books over here at our house. Really sweet stories told with a nice rhythm to them. Spoiler Alert: This one is about Llama, who visits his grandma and grandpa. After he gets there, he realizes that he has left his very special stuffed friend, Fuzzy Llama, at home. Chaos could have ensued, but grandpa llama saved the day and gave Llama his own stuffed friend from when HE was a boy. Cute story.

This is currently a favorite in our house! It is a great little book about spending the night at grandma & grandpa's house! It helps kids who might be nervous about going away overnight. It has the great rhymes and beautiful illustrations that you would expect from the "Llama Llama" series. We purchased this one to donate to our local library so everyone can enjoy it! My son's grandmother's only complaint is that the "grandma" looks a little too old! ;-)

Our 2 year old granddaughter frequently spends the night at our house as her parents travel for work. She loves this book! The story is comforting that Llama Llama will always be taken good care of by his grandparents.

I am so lucky that I live close enough so my little 3 year old granddaughter can come to her "other house'. Which is ours. This book is a "never miss during story time" favorite, and she and I say our favorite lines together. Love this book, love that the author wrote it to reassure little ones who are away from home.

Llama Llama is easy for toddlers to say. My grandson just turned two and loves the Llama Llama books. I will have the whole set soon. Great for toddlers that don't have a big attention span, not too short or long on the pages.

My daughter loves these books we have them all, she calls herself baby or little llama and I am mama llama. We got the first book when she was home and now is 7 and still loves them . We absolutely love Llama Llama! My daughters are 4 and 10 and we still read them! This book was great and we loved the relationship between Llama Llama and his grandparents. He forgets Fuzzy Llama but is able to sleep just fine with a surprise from Grandpa! Such a good message in all of Anna Dewdney's books. We highly recommend this one! (and her others too!)

Huge success with my 18 month old granddaughter who clearly understood and related to the overnight at the grandparents scenario. The illustrations are beautiful. It is her favorite book to read with Grandma, and she runs to get it whenever I visit. Talk about tugging at your heartstrings....can only hope there is a sequel!

My son has all of the Llama Llama books and he loves them. We've read them over and over and never get tired of them. Great for teaching children about sharing, bullying, starting school, sleeping away from home for the first time (Gram and Grandpa book), etc.

there aren't a lot of grandparent books for small tots...I think my grandson will like this when he is a little older...he's 13 months now and it's too involved a story for him to sit still.

Great book, especially for my son's 1st visit to visit Grandparents in NC at 3. It was great to read before and bring with us to read while there, helped him relate to the book and his own situation which was exciting for him.
