Wow! These books are fantastic! There is just so much good jam packed into this set. Each of the five books gives a brief, but fascinating, look at ten virtuous men. The chapters are relatively short. A fact page is at the end of each chapter. A quiz is at the end of each book. (Hello fellow homeschool moms! This makes guided reading simple with these!) I bought these for my 10 year old son. So far, he is enjoying them. We read one chapter at night before bed. I got them in hopes of helping him become more trusting and understanding ofGod and how he loves us. He has been experiencing great anxiety with the COVID-19 pandemic and it is breaking me. It is already helping him. He goes to bed so much more at ease and is not so clingy wanting me to sleep with him until he falls asleep. I also purchased 2 other books to go with this set. He enjoys how I compare the boys in this book to his traits and gifts and he reads aloud with me on the prayers. It is precious time with these books and my son.

My son is a first grader with a third grade reading level. These books are yet a little hard for him (I think that's due in part to his shorter first grade focus--no pictures-- and in part some bigger vocabulary), but they've made a great read-aloud for us. I love putting worthy men in front of my son's mind for him to emulate, and these men are worthy!!

This looks like a great series and we were excited to give it to our kids for Christmas. Unfortunately, the very first story we turned to about the life of Eric Liddell in “Ten Boys Who Changed the World” was missing! The book skips from page 48 to page 73, and then again from page 96 to 73, but pages 49 to 72 are completely missing. We have been unsuccessful (so far) in our attempts to contact the seller to see if we can get a replacement copy of that particular book (in an effort to avoid having to return the entire set). An update is forthcoming if we are able to get a good resolution.

Good books about real Christian men and how they lived their life and changed the world. Good for reading level 2nd through 5th graders, but even older would enjoy the stories. I love the Faith building concept through lives of real men like Lincoln, Jonathan Edwards, C.S. Lewis...etc.

Very disappointed to receive collection with a missing title, we didn't receive the title ten boys who changed the world, instead we received two titles of 10 boys who didn't give in. Overall a great collection. My eight year old son is looking forward to starting this new series.

We use this in lieu of trial and triumph. T&T was just too 'old' .... It wasnt engaging for my younger children and it was far too graphic and depressing. Lightkeepers isnt graphic but it tells the truth and actually engages the reader/listener more. This book set is amazing. It is written in such an engaging style that it keeps even my 5/6year old hooked! I love everything about these books and am so thankful that there is something like this to use. I cant write enough good things about these books :)

Bought two sets. One for a grandson and one for myself so that we could read them together as we live across the country feom one another. He was excited to read them and there is no issue with his order but I found in my order there were two of 'Boy Who Changed The World' and is missing ' Boy Who Made History'. Hoping this issue gets rectified!

The stories are short, and he is finding he can relate to the different people in many ways. Plus, he is learning a lot of church and regular history all at the same time. I am glad I found these books!

He has started the second book in this series and is hoping this doesn't happen again!! There were also many grammatical errors that my 10 year old pointed out, and not the momma!!

I'm always looking for books about brave and admirable boys (and men.) This is an amazing collection of stories that our boys love...mom & dad have really enjoyed them too! These are perfect for reading bed time and other times too!

I bought these as a Christmas present for my son. They're wonderful, interesting, easy to read short stories. We read one or two stories a day and they've all been interesting. If you really like one of the biographies, you can always do more research on that person. This is just enough to get you interested. Great Living Books!

So cool, I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I purchased these books to read to my first grader. But, they are true stories! And, very encouraging reading that invites me to also want to share Jesus with others!

Bought this collection for my great grandson. 5 yrs. Wanted him to have it. When he starts reading he will enjoy these stories. Educational. Learn about good others have done in there lives. Helping others.

My family loves these books! My 7 year old son begs for me to read about one person (or more) every day.

We homeschool. These are absolutely wonderful. Each story inside is a true story and is followed by discussion questions afterward. My 10 year old. ..5th grade. ..son really enjoys them. We read them out loud. Week read the girls set after this one. But don't be fooled...since they're true stories these really are great for boys or girls. Each one is strongly christian and faith based....revealing godly examples of christian character to us. I love them.

These were written by a Scotsman. They are great, but some of the words are a little difficult for my U.S. grandson to understand.

Great book set. Very good variety, covers lots of influential people and events. There's a comparable set about girls which is great too.

Violent content!! NOT suitable for young readers like it suggests 9-14 year olds. My very advanced reader who’s almost nine found the content very disturbing. I Regret buying the books for him and wish I would have read them first!!

Love this book set and so does my 12 year old son. We read about one person each morning before school. Great, simple tool for teaching boys about so many important men in history.

The Ten Boys and Ten Girls set give engaging biography sketches of well known Christians throughout history. I would recommend them for ages 8-12. They are easy reading with about 8-10 pages per person. Each book in the five book set concentrates on ten who "made a difference", "changed the world" etc. My girls have loved both sets equally and I have learned so much myself about the lives of so many who are role models in the Christian walk.

Our elementary-age children appreciate reading about such inspiring role models. We purchased two books, but they liked them so much, we had to purchase the entire boxed sets, for both boys and girls! We have also given these as birthday gifts for classmates, who also enjoyed reading worthwhile literature.

Purchased this set as a confirmation gift for my nephew, because one of the biographies features his namesake. Each of the biographies is accessible for readers who are just being introduced to "chapter books"; a perfect launch pad for sparking interest in deeper study. Love these books!
