"5" for the book, but "0" for Audio App: DK website should provide free MP3 audio files

I can't understand why DK can produce such a great book with such a horrible Audio app. Nobody can download it, so it's as good as actually NOT providing any free Audio Apps. Customers who are most likely to buy a "real" (physical) book are very unlikely to use an App on a cell phone. What we want are at least free MP3 audio files we can download easily via a one click download of an audio zip file from DK's website. All of DK's Korean language competitors in fact already do this, like Talk to Me in Korean, Darakwon, Tuttle, and many other websites that offer free audio files that accompany their Korean language texts. DK needs to provide free MP3 audio files via their website, not force people to go through Google play and other companies to access allegedly available free audio files that almost everyone reviewing this book here on Amazon cannot download or access. It's just bad marketing and business to frustrate your customers by making it impossible for us to access the free audio files we were promised and expected to use to learn Korean from this otherwise wonderful book. You are rendering the use of this book very difficult for non-Korean-speaking customers who need to listen to the correct Korean pronunciation, which supposedly you have files for. I guess nobody yet knows if these files exist, since we can't download or use them. Again, give us free MP3 audio zip files for all your Korean language books. You can add an "Audio" button on your website and list the books by title with a hyperlink that connects right to the zip file of free MP3 audio files related to each Korean language visual dictionary book, etc. If DK really cares about customers, then they should create the "Audio" section on their website ASAP and make available our free MP3 audio files in a simple zip file format for Windows, ASAP. Also, for MAC users.

Great!

My son LOVES these DK bilingual visual dictionaries. He reads them constantly and really enjoys the pictures and phrases. Great for young linguaphiles.

I love it

I purchased a Japanese-English Visual Dictionary first and as I loved it a lot I manage to purchase this one as well, and I like it just as much.

Hope they perfect it soon

Nice book but Can’t find the app

Love

Cute book, useful

Great product

Very helpful to learn Korean Language

There are errors, but overall I find it useful

I have been studying Korean for about 10 years. From time to time, I see books like this and try it out as it is always a good reminder. I find this book very useful for my needs. However, there are some mistakes for this book's targeted market (beginners) as the vocabulary used are either archaic translation based on academic use or words that are no longer used at all. The exceptions are rare, but from what I can tell this is just a general book they have for various languages and uses dictionaries to place the target language into the slots to sell the books. Do be careful of these errors, but overall, it isn't all that bad for visualizing vocabulary.

Great way to learn vocabulary!

This book is wonderful! It's a great way to learn new and useful vocabulary. There are so many different categories! The only thing I wish I could change is the font size, it's a little bit small. BUT you can always zoom in on the Kindle app. BTW The app for the listening is called "Bilingual Visual Dictionary".

Website audio file for download not available as of 2 June

Book is nicely illustrated and arranged. The website for the audio files is NOT WORKING.

Many problems

Still waiting for the audio to connect with the isbn

Very nice

Arrived a week late, but the product is fine :/ teaches hangul, or Korean, in hangul font, English transliteration, and English translation for easy learning. Very nice. Each word comes with a small picture and there are a lot a lot of pictures :)

Perfect.

This book is perfect- a brilliant bilingual dictionary and the images are such high quality. Absolute bargain and you can also download an app that will pronounce the words for you if your stuck (instructions on how and what to download would be near the front of the book).

Live this!

Love tjis tne way its set out makes it so easy to use.

Amazing Book

An amazing idea - makes learning fun and easy to remember. It covers every topic you might like to know.

Barcode didn’t work

Great book but barcode didn’t work on the app

Excellent presentation and content - just some minor issues with the romanized Korean terms

This is a great dictionary both in presentation and content. I am not sure it contains more than 6000 different words, as some terms are repeated under different headings (for instance, ball appears in several sport pages), but it must be very close. It also touches upon many different topics, including various “grown-up” subjects (cleaning, household appliances, professions, DIY) that tend to be absent from the more common study materials, aimed at young students. The content, however, is not specifically Korean; it seems to be a British/USA vocabulary that happens to be translated into Korean. There are no entries for kimchi, bibimbap, ondol, hanbok, or even chopsticks. It is explained in the introduction that, besides Hangul, the Korean terms are written in the Latin alphabet following the Revised Romanization (RR) of Korean. Those entries in RR, however, are the least accomplished part of this dictionary. In a few cases the entry is not RR Korean but the Latin transliteration of Russian or other Slavic language (for instance, p. 58, mailbox – pochtovyi; p. 202, cylinder head - golovka bloka tsilindrov). Then there is the fact that the RR method is not applied systematically. This is specially annoying in the case of the 우 – u. All three cases우 – u, oo, woo are used, sometimes in the same word (p. 6, 굽다gubda -goobda, p. 222, 축구 chookgu). Poor 어 is sometimes written as uh instead of eo and 아a becomes ah (p. 220, gol lah-in - goal line).

Traduzioni inesatte

Purtroppo più di una traduzione è inesatta..detto da un coreano percio certo. Non lo consiglio. Peccato perché lo ho in altre 3 lingue ed era perfetto ma il coreano no
