Cute, easy, and too small typeface
This book is super cute and very easy—perhaps a little too easy for someone who is experienced with crochet. That being said, y only problem is that the type is just too small. I have good vision, but the type is a gray color (less contrast) and very small. I don’t like to hold a book in my lap while crocheting, and it is just too small and light to put next to me.
Super cute collection of colorful amigurumi!
This book is adorable! It's a great resource if you love to crochet amigurumi - lots of these patterns would make cute little gifts (for yourself or others). The book design is well done - all of the patterns are arranged by color, which I found unique. Normally, amigurumi books are arranged by type of pattern, for example, food patterns, animal patterns, etc. Going along with the theme of color, there is a short section at the beginning of the book on basic color theory. There is also a section in the back of the book with basic crochet how-to instructions, but if you're picking up this book you probably already know how to crochet. The book advertises 40 amigurumi patterns, and sure, there are 40 patterns listed here, but some of them are basically the same thing with a few small tweaks. For example, there are multiple patterns of ice cream cones and popsicles, and the only thing that makes them different is using a different yarn color, adding a different little decoration on top, etc. It would have made a little more sense to present, for example, an ice cream cone pattern, with the different "flavor" modifications alongside the pattern. However, since the book is arranged by color, putting a blue blueberry ice cream cone, a pink strawberry ice cream cone, and a cream/brown vanilla ice cream cone together wouldn't have made sense. Keeping the pattern overlap in mind, I still think this is worthwhile book for your crochet library!
You'll Love To Look
Even if you don't know how to crochet, you'll love just looking through this book. There's lot of cute amigurumi plushies that I say are stinkin' cute. And the wide array of colors is appealing to your sense of sight. So, if you do decide to crochet something, you'll find the patterns well-written out. Only downside I found is that the font is way too small. The font is the size of the lettering you find on the back of an over the counter medicine.
Worth a Purchase!
All in all, very pleased with my purchase! Patterns are very clearly written. Objects are adorable and easy to create. An excellent book of patterns for crocheters interested in amigurumi. Worth the purchase (instead of finding patterns free) to ensure toys are the same general style and go well together. Included a bonus of stitch descriptions along with some general crochet design tips. While none of these things are deal breakers, here are some things to look out for. Patterns don’t specify whether they’re top-down or bottom-up, which can be slightly confusing. Multiple weights of yarn are occasionally used in the same pattern, making it hard to buy all the colors/weights recommended. Related to that, some items are an awkward scale. I found the banana to be too small and the apple/pear/pepper to be too large.
Such Cute, Easy To Follow Designs!
All the patterns are so cute! I hope she makes more books in the future!!! I consider my skill level intermediate to mildly advanced, and these patterns are a breeze to me! A good tip for anyone who has trouble trying to grasp a new crochet technique or concept (back post double crochet or simply working in the round for example,) is to check it up on YouTube. While the designer of this book does not have a YouTube channel, lots of other makers put up easy to follow videos on such things if you have a hard time following it from a book. With that being said, at the back of the book, she has illustrated picture tutorials of certain stitches and technics, which are meant to help beginners. Again, I really wanna see more books from her in the future!!!
My Favorite Amigurumi Book
This is my favorite amigurumi book that I gave added to my ever growing collection. Not only is every single pattern adorable but Melissa’s instructions have taught me a few new tricks that have helped my projects look even better than before. The patterns are easy to read and I feel that if anyone was ever curious about amigurumi this would be a wonderful starter book. The colors and pictures are all wonderful that’s it’s hard to decide which to start first! I’ve already made about 5 of the projects so far and can’t wait to make the rest! I would highly recommend this book! 💖💖💖
Awesome!!!
I love this book. The pattern is so easy to follow.
Cute book
The cute designs in the book make great toys for babies and children! It is also a great guideline for the base of the design so you can make them bigger if you want.
Cute Patterns, Easy to Follow
The patterns are easy to follow for anyone who has basic crochet knowledge. There are plenty of photos of finished items, but not many of specific steps. I would NOT say there are 40 unique patterns as some of them are repeated with different colors/accessories. Also, beware that the legal clause on the last page prohibits you from selling anything you make with this book so if you're planning to sell these items, buyer beware.
Love, love, LOVE
This is my new favorite book! SO in love with every single design, I cannot wait to make everything in it. Everything about it is perfect!

Cute stuff! Patterns look just like the pictures, and are easy to follow...
I'm using 2 and 3 weight acrylic yarn for projects, as that 100% cotton stuff at Wally World (Walmart) just doesn't work! The projects look just like the pictures in the book! I love this book! I hope the author makes more items for a Kawaii Crochet book 2! Love amigurumi? This book is highly recommended!

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This book! Totally addicted to crocheting the fruits and vegetables! Added a rattle to the crocheted baby bottle as a baby gift! Great purchase!!!
Really cute layout, wish there were more patterns!
This book is really fun, I love that it's laid out by color, and the patterns are very easy to follow along. I just wish there were more patterns!
Beautiful book
This book is gorgeous! I am a sucker for rainbow stuff, and her book is all about colors of the rainbow, it’s very well put together.
Fun book and well written
I love this book! It is very well written and the characters are adorable. The book includes tips and tricks in case you aren't very experienced.
Too cute not to buy
Love all the patterns so far, but I had all my friends requesting this adorable turnip. 💕
This book is a must have!!!!!!
I absolutely love this book, I have crocheted well over 10 designs and feel as if the instructions for each piece have been extremely easy to read. I think that this book is great for any beginner. All of the items are so much fun and I find myself excited when I get close to finishing something up. I would give this book a 10 out of 10 if that was an option.
Cute Patterns!
The patterns are really easy to follow and they have pictures to help guide you through difficult steps. The book itself has beautiful pictures of finished products with sections in the back to help you with understanding the abbreviations in the pattern and tips for sewing on the faces. I haven’t stopped crocheting since I got it!
So cute!
Great book! Easy to follow patterns. Very cute! The cover page was bent when received, but other than that perfect condition.
An amigurumi must have!
The patterns in this book are adorable! Very easy to follow instructions. If you are a fan of amigurumi, this book is a must have! Just buy it now, you won't be disappointed.

Love this book!!! I can’t wait to make those cute stuffs!!! It was delivered on time too!! The quality of the book is great!!
Fun foods
Easy to follow patterns. You can change yarn size or hook to alter your project. Love making these.
Every Crocheter Needs This Book!
I love this book so much! It is beautiful to look at and the projects are so fun and easy to make! I have the day the hardest thing in the book is deciding what to make next!!!
Good find
Great book. Easy to follow. Color based so thats fun.
Great book, super cute
I haven't gotten to make many yet but I am loving this book!
Cute patterns
I bought this for my Granddaughter and she loved it
Great book
Super cute, Great designs, explains it well
Must have
Super cute book!
Great for beginners!
I love, love, love amigurmi - but I’m picky about my patterns. This book has everything you need (minus yarn and a hook!) to become a successful amigurmi crocheter.
Fab book
Absolutely love ths book. It is so cute. Well written. My son thinks so too and has challenged me to make everything in it. Just had a go at the peas in a pod and it's easy to follow clear instructions
Beautiful and colourful!
Coming back to crochet after many years and being a kawaii addict, I absolutely love this book. The patterns are easy to follow and so cute. Divided up by colour with little cute clouds telling you the difficulty. I've been practicing my stitch work and am starting my 1st Amigurumi piece... highly recommended.
I love this book
I made a banana and ice-cream my family find them amusing 😍👍👍👍
Good for learning and adaptation
It's good fun if not a fair bit repetitive (charmeleon in the photo is from another project not in the book)
Love it
Love this book! Colourful and fun and inspiring crafting
Relaxing therapy
Great little projects to keep me busy and relax me in these dif times
Lovely.
So many lovely things to make. Love this wee book.
Great book
Absolutely love this book. Used it for many of the items in a picnic basket made for my niece! Easy to understand instructions which would be great if you are new to crocheting. Beautifully illustrated. Would highly recommend.
Well written instructions with useful pictures
Well written and easy to follow, with good tips and instructions for beginners new to amigurumi. Very adorable patterns.

Maravilloso
Receitas lindas e bem explicadas
Very cute and colourful, good quality print
The Kawaii Crochet book is just as described. There are about 5 or 6 projects in each colour (though some seem to be repeat patterns in a different colour with slight variations). Cover is matte and pages are very, very slightly glossy. Arrived on time and well packed but there was a little bit of damage to one corner of the cover. Not very noticeable unless you look closely.
Solo sale comida

Un must
Not recommend
Not recommend for a beginner. I myself have to watch many videos to be able to understand it. The book should be better illustrated by more pics with steps by steps instead of full of marketing pics which look good but not useful. I bought the book to learn crochet not to look at those illustrating pics.
