Back in feudal Japan, Akura-oh is getting frustrated with his best friend and rampage companion Tomoe. He correctly guesses that Tomoe is lovesick, and decides the best way to deal with it is to kill the object of his affection--Yukiji! And to make matters worse, when Nanami wears historical clothes, she looks an awful lot like Yukiji! Can she manage to preserve the past, save Tomoe, protect Yukiji and keep from getting killed?!

Love it!
This arc is everything I've ever dreamed of in a manga! The one teeny tiny issue I have with the official manga is their translations... Having read the scanlations online, I loved this part of the storyline enough to purchase the manga, but sometimes the conversation reads awkwardly because the translator(s) are finding more creative ways of saying things like "Don't go." I personally enjoy the simplicity of what they're saying without needing complicate a simple sentence, and feel that some scanlations online provide a more active tone to the characters than the official manga. That being said, this version did clarify some details about the plot that weren't as clearly translated online, and I appreciate that. Overall, Kamisama Kiss itself is a great manga series and I'm absolutely hooked, just dying for the next chapter to come out.
