Junie B., First Grader: Jingle Bells, Batman Smells! (P.S. So Does May)

Our 2nd grader is going to be reading this book in class, and we wanted him to have his own copy so he doesn't share the germy corona one in class. Book looks nice and is a decent size. This one was pretty good. For us Junie b jones opens up conversations about her not-so-great behavior. My daughter is in first grade, reading at second grade level. Junie B Jones are her go to books, she flies through them. I find her reading one just about every night. Yes, Junie is a little mischievous, but first graders occasionally are, and it gives her something to chuckle about.

The Junie B. Jones book series is an excellent tool to use to not only engage you children, but to educate as well. I can't order them fast enough. My seven year old reads them to her little sister and they are engaged for hours at a time reading and playing teacher, (YEA!!). They improving their reading comprehensions and build their vocabulary.

Junie B. Jones is quite the kid. From funny songs to being tempted by the holiday season and being kind to those you can't stand to be around, this story is a sweet and touching story about doing the right thing we even when it is really hard and costs you your squeeze-a-burp.

Junie B. is back and better then ever. My daughter loves these books and I find I do as well. The price was fair, but found that TARGET carries every Junie B. book ever written and they all sell for $4.99 (paperback)

Barbara Park knew how to capture the funny, innocent, social awkwardness of being young. Junie B is every parent's nightmare. She is not a naughty child. She is simply learning how to navigate in a big world full of unwritten rules about what a first grader should and shouldn't say and do. The story is simple and well written. The vocabulary is great for an early reader. I have to admit I am not fond of Junie's tart little sayings at times. I do not allow my kids to use words like "stupid" which are thrown around liberally in the book. I have made clear to my kids they can read Junie B, but if I ever hear Junie B-ish words coming from their mouths, Junie B will find herself at the half price bookstore on the corner.

Junie B Jones books are awesome! It’s worth getting the entire collection. Written in a fun way with good lessons in them as well. I wish there were more of them.

We love Junie B. Jones books. My son is 7 and we read a chapter a night. I read it and he acts out the parts. He can relate to the way she talks and what she goes through as a first grader. Although somethings she says we wouldn't allow him to say so sometimes I change the wording around.

I think that all of the June B. Jones books are awesome but this one is one of my favorite ones out of all of them. This book has lots of humour in it and good character. I could read this book like 5 times in a row.

Junie B. does it again...she makes us laugh during one of the most memorable holidays in a young child's life!! We see a soft side of Junie B. which rarely shows itself, but allows us to get to know her that much more AND teaches us a life lesson! My daughter and I loved reading this together!

It's funny! And it's fun too! I love it! - by my 5 yr old girl who enjoys reading the book along with mommy every night.

Junie B. is a great series for kids. My daughter (6) really loves all the books. I would have given this 5 stars but the pricing is just terrible! We gave a paperback copy of this book to my niece for Christmas and it was only about $5. I bought this for my Kindle to read to my daughter and didn't realize that it was almost $10! Lesson learned. The story is great though. It's a good way for kids to learn about the spirit of Christmas and giving even when they don't really think that they want to give. Don't want to give too much away, but it's a nice story.

This book is great for children of all ages and is a very easy book. I love the humor and everything else about this book.
