Humbling & Challenging Story

I first got hooked on autobiographies, when I read a book by Richard Wurmbrand. Then a friend told me about this book and I got it immediately, and read it in about 2 days. I'm not a reader, like seriously, I don't enjoy reading at all. But I couldn't put this book down. Noble Alexander was an incredible man of God and I am humbled and challenged when I read his story. This book will change your life!

Great Book

GREAT BOOK! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

A wonderful story of this mans will to survive and faith ...

A wonderful story of this mans will to survive and faith in God to care for him. It contains a very inspiring message of hope. I heardNobel Alexander share his story and there is an audio tape that was made. I wish it was still available.

Must Read lesson in Faith and Courage

This short book contains the story of Humberto Alexander's 22 years in Castro's prisons. It is a story of courage and faith under the ugliest of conditions. Alexander was shot, tortured repeatedly, starved, and treated in the most unspeakably inhuman ways, yet through it all his faith in Christ allows him and his fellow prisoners to survive and even to love those who were torturing them. You will not regret reading this book!

Amazing!!

Amazing!!!!! Thank God for such a man. Noble was the real deal. Our lives are not the same since reading & meeting him. What a blessing to mankind!!!

• Why I Love the Book "I Will Die Free"

This book represents a pastor from Cuba who was accused of conspiracy and put in prison for 22 years. He preached the word of God and remained faithful thru persecution and losing his family. No one was able to convince Pastor Alexander to recant or give up his religion. Once you start reading you can't put this book down.

Prisoner in Cuba

When Life gets tough, many become christians

Noble Alexander was 28 years old when he was arrested for preaching the gospel in a church. He was given a 20 year sentence on trumped up charges of trying to assassinate Fidel Castro. This was 1962, he was held in a Cuban prison until 1984.The Reverend Jessie Jackson had heard about the ministers of the gospel all Christian religions were in prison in Havana and he negotiated to get them set free. There was no punishment too low for the Cuban prison guards to commit. The Cuban Communist hated Christians because they worshipped God, not Fidel Castro. They stabbed, shoot. beat and abused Christians and no one cared except for their heavenly father. All the Christians in prison had to wear awas their underwear.Fidel denied them prison uniforms, unless they would recant and say that they did not believe in God, and were sworn Communists. Many of Christians said that they would live unto released and they would die free.Noble lost his wife Yraida a beautiful Christian woman who became a communist and divorced him to marry an Army Communist and he lost his 2 year old son who is now an avowed Communist. Communism is at a Satanic level in Cuba but God always wins. The guards shot a prisoner out in a fruit vineyard, but they did not know he had a Bible under his clothes over his heart. The bullet lodged in the Bible. A miracle was performed. Many prisoners converted to Jesus in prison.

If you think Castro was a good guy, think again

I read this book many years ago, it was a book you cannot put down, and gives a real inside look at the truth of the Communist lies about their system. Some people often state that "religion is the cause of all the wars" Yet here we see an atheistic power that overthrew the previous administration with a bloody coup. What followed was a bloody and brutal dictatorship that banned religion.. How is religion responsible for the bloodshed of many thousands of Cuban people here. If you think Castro was a good guy, think again! The faith, faithfulness and perseverance of this man is inspiring

Castro Is A Monster

I read this book years ago and now I am writing this because I have come across another book,

Sublime and deeply moving Christian Testimony demonstrating Jesus as 'rescuer of the faithful'.

Possibly one of the greatest Christian Testimonies ever written. It reduced me to floods of tears throughout almost every chapter. It's is not about seventh day Adventists but about the all consuming love and grace of an all knowing and omnipotent God who never leaves nor forsakes those who love him. The suffering endured by the author is astounding and yet his faith prevailed until the end. A must read for all Bible believing Christians. If only they cold reprint this fantastic book which I read on its first release in 1991 and it impacted my life forever.

Unbelievable and yet absolutely true!

I know author Kay Rizzo, and this woman has penned one of the chilling, inspiring bios of all time! Noble Alexander's harrowing saga of survival in a Cuban prison will move you to tears. The story of loaded with drama, pathos, and the unmistakable care of an intervening heavenly Father. This is one thrilling ride.

The Ugly Side of Communism

I love this book. Although the cover is very simple, the story about Alexander truly touched my heart. Communism has to be one of the ugliest form of governments devised by man and Alexander clearly shows it. He was imprisoned for over two decades by the Castro regime on trumped up charges, just because he was preaching Christ in the church. He never denied Christ even though he suffered greatly. I felt the hand of God in every trial Noble endured. And as God promised in the end he delivered Alexander from the hand of Castro. His story read like a modern day gospel. I loved how he brought most of the Christians together even though they were from different denominations. This is how the true church of God should be, we loving each other, instead of being separated by theology or other ridiculous differences. Noble died later during his freed life. Hence the title, he did die free. I wonder whatever happened to his son and wife from Cuba, who disowned him because he refused to accept the Castro regime. This story should be made into a movie!

Amazing story of courage and hope against all odds

I've just finished reading this book. It is an amazing story of resilience, courage, and hope of one man, Noble Alexander, under severe torture and cruelty in a Cuban communist jail. The depths of cruelty a regime would stoop to break a person requires more than physical strength to withstand. Noble's faith in God, to have a conscience free of communists 're-education' in jail, and his subsequent flight to freedom is a miracle. With socialism and atheism creeping it's ugly head in the west, we should rethink our fortunes as free men and women. A most touching story I've read in recent times.

A Compelling Story Well Written

Did you ever wonder why large numbers of Americans don't risk their lives crossing the Florida Straits to get into Cuba? None of us could understand the fear and oppression of Castro's communist regime like those who have lived under it, but this book gives insight into the repressive nature of a secular regime and the spiritual strength that overcame it.

True Story

Fantastic book. Alexander Noble came to my church to speak. The one thing I will never forget was that he said he felt closer to God when he was in prison. Locked up, but his mind was still free.

Fantastik book
