Special Ops. Warrior Foundation info. found in the back of book.
Thank you Dr. Wasdin, for writing such an important autobiography. After all, there are only a few hundred people who hold positions as this country's best special operations soldiers, for whom their military can always count on for brave, impossible assignments. Special Operations soldiers are rarely seen and until recent years, rarely heard of. You wrote one of the best described books on how it is to make it...as a Special Op's. warrior... by living it. I am very proud, and feel safer to be on American soil after reading all that you and your brothers are willing to strive for, in the name of our county. So am I grateful for your opening up as candidly as you could, with your life in this genre. I agree too, that the way you were raised, physiologically enhanced your character when you needed to strive most--in SEAL training, in the Special Forces, and in your life once leaving the field. It was interesting to find that your team works with other USA Special Ops., like Delta Force, Rangers and especially those greatly over looked, yet much needed 'pilots' in the skies! They showed themselves as heroic by working as flying, moving, living targets in the course to free our guys on the ground from a locked-in situation during one of your missions. Those pilots were incredible! I have seen BUDS on the Military Channel, and recognized different faces of fear, exhaustion and failure. I wish I had seen yours along with the few making it to the end with you graduating--only to train for the rest of your careers and specialize in a particular field as a Special Forces soldier of which ever division. I conclude that your mission in Mogadishu was compromised by communications delay in it's timing, as it was passed on seconds too late from each operator being told what to do and pass on. And unfortunately no one knew of this soon enough. (Those interested in Mogadishu will find it interesting in the role that the U.N. took being there too.) Then due to the unexpected, drugged-up Somali non-military groups with weapons, yes, those 'extra' bad guys, were not what you were there for in your mission. If they had been your mission, your special military equipment and weapons would have been fully enhanced and available to you in fighting urban warfare. Their violent response to your entrance is also a true-to-form testament reveling that your mission was not to fight them. Your original mission was planned to take less than an hour when devised, thus making this hostile environment of humans on drugs while carrying lethal weapons, an impossible task for your mix of guys as you were all taken by surprise. I know that your future book readers will gasp when they read your personal turning point as you exit the area, as well as Somalia, as that situation became it's own story changer for you. I recommend this book to everyone due to the subject matter, while discovering more about the person whom you can become...a self-assured person once you find your drive and apply it to your own interest(s). Besides this memoir, that is also what I got from this book. And I'm thankful Dr. Wasdin told his story in the way that he did...executed brilliantly!
Another fantastic book from another U.S. NAVY SEAL. This is an excellent memoir from a true SEAL Warrior.
I have been fortunate to have read a reviewed numerous books about SEAL Training, as well as some fantastic memoirs of SEAL warriors who related their incredible experiences so that we may all learn some valuable life lessons from them. I was in the U.S. Navy (1959-1963) but did not have an opportunity to attend BUD/S because of my medical problems at that time. However, I have always had enormous respect and admiration for the UDT/SEALS and other Special Ops units in the Navy, Army, Marines and Air force. This excellent book relates the experiences of Howard E. Wasdin, a former U.S. Navy SEAL Sniper. The text is organized into two parts. Part one he relates his sad home and family challenges, but the interesting part is that he puts a positive spin on his bad home life. He was able to endure the hard and brutal SEAL training because of his tragic home life at the time. He is not bitter but actually shows enormous humanity in his story. The first part also covers his joining the Navy and of course, the difficult SEAL training program, as well as his entry into SEAL Team Two, where he served in Desert Storm. The second part explains his slection into the legendary SEAL Team Six and his Sniper school training. This section also has the most tense and exciting story of the Battle of Mogadishu. If you saw the movie Black Hawk Down, the author was there when the fighting was most intense. He was wounded seriously in the leg in that battle. He has some harsh, but true criticism for the political decisions made which he blames for so many Americans who died during that engagement. He does not hold anything back in his evaluation of the Mogadishu battle and the mistakes that were made at that time. In conclusion, this is a book that should be read by all Americans in order to understand what these American heros endured fighting for this country. There are also many photographs in the middle of the book showing SEAL training exercises as well as photos of the author. A must read book. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Inspiring
This book is a quick read. It's fascinating, informative, and Howard Wasdin is a truly inspiring American hero. I highly recommend it.

I found this autobiography very interesting and informative. The determination of Wasdin to become a seal is determination I wish all Americans had in each of their endeavors. Becoming a SEAL is EXTREMELY difficult and this young man was one of the few who made it. After I read this book I decided that it should be in the libraries of both junior and senior high schools as there are many young men who look at professional sports or the Olympics as a way to their athleticism goals.. However, when young men strive to become SEALS and reach their goals, they are the real "supermen" of our times; athleticism and endurance beyond the normal imagination. Unlike professional athletes and Olympians, the SEALS never ask for public recognition. They do their job for the love of nation and for the dedication to democracy----putting their lives at risk with each mission. I really appreciated this story and the young man about whom it is written. God bless the SEALS!!
How to become a Seal!
The author tells a story of being resilient, and how his upbringing contributed to him becoming a Navy Seal. Describes events in previous conflicts, that may have never been heard about. Also tells about life after the seals/military, and how to be a productive member of society.
One of the BEST Navy SEAL books I have ever read with fascinating details! I highly recommend it!
Howard E. Wasdin (the Navy SEAL) and Stephen Templin are excellent writers! This book held my attention completely! I love reading about Navy SEALs and snipers, and this is one of the most well-written books I have read. They get into much more details about how SEALs and snipers are trained. For example, you can be an Olympic Gold-Medal marksman, but if you fail stalking your prey, you don't make it as a sniper! After sniper training at FBI headquarters in Quantico, VA, they receive additional training in skills such as honing your skills shooting out the doors of a moving helicopter! These are just a couple of fascinating examples from the book. I felt as if I were right there while he is pulling the trigger. One of the BEST Navy SEAL books I have ever read! I highly recommend it.
Everyone should read this!
Once I started, I couldn't put this book down. I served but never fought, and I really relate to what is written herein. It's difficult to believe there could be people like Howard, but he is, there are, and there always will be. Heroes among us. Salute!
If you don't know much about SEALs, this is a an excellent primer.
As an "old salt," I've never read a book about the SEALS I didn't like ... and I've read a few! Wasdin's struggles before and after earning his Trident are as real as it gets in a book. You'll wonder how men get through the school whose motto is "The only easy day was yesterday," Hell Week, and other ways the Navy prepares its special ops crews for some of the most dangerous and complex missions afield today. The multiple types of training a prospective and graduate SEAL receives is necessarily complex because of the multiple environments and delivery/extraction systems which may be required just to get into and out of the job at hand. Wasdin is candid in his appraisal of his life as an active SEAL and the transition back into civilian life. It is well-written and offers insights you may not have considered about the world class warrior the Navy boasts.
"I don't like to $%^ read but I like this book"
My students don't always speak in a correct manner (I'm working on that in the classroom) but they are brutally honest with me. A few weeks ago, I came across this book while looking for something that would appeal to male students (all former dropouts) in an alternative school setting. The book has not only grabbed and held the attention of these students but many more are asking for a copy to read. One student told me he hasn't read or touched a book in 4 years but enjoyed reading about Howard's life. Many have expressed how they could relate to his earlier experiences while growing up which makes it extra special to them. In addition, I located a study guide that goes with this book that enhances the learning for these young men. Though I haven't haven't read this book from cover to cover (I'm writing my own book) the students told me to give it 5 stars!

I Am A Seal Team Six Warrior
This was a really good book and Howard is a hero in my eyes. Thanks for sharing your true story with me and all of your readers. I honestly do not know how you were able to with stand your step Dad beating you without you killing him. He made you as tough as you are and definitely made you qualified to endure all of your training to become a Navy Seal and then on to Seal Team Six. What an unbelievable accomplishment. Glad to see you are happy with your new career as a Chiropractor. Good luck.
Very good account of Wasden’s life with the Seals.
Officer Wasden, a good ole Southern Boy. Very entertaining!
I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior: Memoirs of an American Soldier
I, being an U.S. Air Force, military brat...my beloved father and my hero, served 23 years...died from injuries sustained by the Vietnam war at 43 years old. I just LOVE this true story. It's REAL!! And I cannot get enough of Mr Wasdin's life accounts. He is VERY inspirational.and allows me to relate, somewhat, of the zeal and commitment he had to become a NAVY SEAL. Thank you, Mr Wasdin, for your services to OUR country. Hooya!!! (My appreciation to your family for enduring your extended time away while you trained and served)...my sweet mother, a widow since 1973, who is still alive, served right along with my father. Not many civilians know just what the families go through, especially the wives of OUR HEROES....and their children. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR SERVICE, Mr Wasdin. You are my hero too!!! Sincerely, M. Manolio
Wonderful
Chock full of reports that make one feel they are going through the experiences. Written in a calm style that nevertheless makes the reader feel the enormous effort required for the training and the horrors of the battle experiences. It was astonishing to realize that despite amazing technologies available now a rescue vehicle can make a wrong turn or get lost on the way. / I loved this book. Thanks so much to Howard for his service, and for sharing these stories. r of the
If you want to know what it is like...
I can't review this on a literary level, really. I mean, nonfiction is tough and you won't think that Krakauer wrote this one (the writing isn't bad, it just isn't amazing - it's not supposed to be, really). I give it four stars because great writing is not the point. The point is to share an experience and I feel that was done well. I have known some SEALS and it all seems to jibe with what I already knew. Partly, that never in a million lifetimes would I want to be a Navy Seal.
Couldn’t put this down!
Very interesting book. Teaches you a TON about training and politics. I couldn’t put it down! Lots of details. Love the first-hand information. My 13 year old son loved it too!
He loved the book and wrote an essay on Howard Wasdin ...
Our 11 year old son needed to read a biography for an American historical figure for a book report. He wanted to read Chris Kyle. Michael Murphy, or someone of that nature. He loved the book and wrote an essay on Howard Wasdin for his school district's essay contest. He took 2nd out of the entire district. We (my wife and I) were very proud to see him take an interest in a true hero and honor him through his essay.
Great read
purchased for my 11 year old son. He finished it in 2 days. He said it was a great book though some sections were "a little gross".
Good book overall
Good book overall. Fair amount of detail about what it takes to get into the Navy Seals and eventually, Seal Team Six. There are several personal narratives about combat missions in Somalia and such and interactions with other elite special ops (Delta Force and Australian SAS).
Hoo yah!
Great read.

Howard, you have changed my life in ways you'll never know. Learning to shoot straight, that never give up attitude, and that at my age 67 its not to late to start on this path of always working to be the best. Thank you for your service and for the selfless way you put yourself out there. Great read words to live by. Oh and I learned not to shoot my handgun with both eyes open. Lol
Good Reading
Fast shipping. Not as good as I thought it would be. Felt like the Seal was bragging, which he, of course, is entitled to. However good reading.
Great Book
My 8 year old loves the book so far. The description states it is formatted for kids. It seems easy enough to read but I did see one curse word quoted. Oh well! Interesting read!
I Am a Seal Team Six Warrior
Spellbinding as most of the other SEAL books that I have read. So many of the same names keep showing up in book after book, until you feel like you know some of these amazing guys! I have the utmost respect for all of our Military & our Veterans, but you have to realize that the Special Operations Teams, go way far beyond what most people are physically & mentally able to do! God Bless them all!
Battle for Mogadishu
A different perspective on "Black Hawk Down" . I've read and seen Black Hawk Down Serb times, and this is entirely different perspective on the battle. As well as personal insight , both before and after from SEAL team 6 operator Howard Wasdin.
Amazing intelligence
Excellent book!
Amazing
To read the stories of our men and women who serve to protect is an amazing insight to what they endure. I applaud their heroism which some may not agree but they put their lives on the line and they will always be Hero's to me. Thank You for letting me into your life's experiences.
Amazing book; kept my attention
Amazing book; kept my attention. I read it in two days. He swore so much it got annoying after a while. He was a very brave guy!
Just OK
I bought this for my 13 year old boy. It is actually a little below him. The story is good, but he felt like it was an elementary school book. That was probably its intended audience, but I didn't realize it when I bought it for him.
Good book
This is a wonderfully told story based on the true to life events. The detail is quality, and the read is easy appropriate for all and gives insight to the life of a solider and some black ops military situations.
I thought that it was extremely fun to read
I thought this book was phenomenally written. It never got old or tiring reading. I thought that it was extremely fun to read. And, anybody who is interested in the Navy SEAL life, or wants some reading material to read, then I recommend this book for you.

Wanted it for my 11 year old grandson. I read it to be sure it was age appropriate. I did have to black out one paragraph but that was it.
Great insight
This book provided a great insight into what goes into Seal team training and lifestyle. Very believable story.
Enjoyable
I enjoyed reading this ebook. I am not too happy when it was presented with a different cover so I bought the second one with the same content.
Our Seals are always protecting.
It was very well done. This actually happened. We have no idea how those Seals train and what they endure to keep us safe. They definitely need our prayers and support. The same for their families. Joanne Robinson
Really good read
The book was fantastic. It helped me understand and see a whole other side of black hawk down. It aslo help layout the struggle our wounded vets go through after their service.
Warriors
A pretty good book for a surface view of the ultimate warrior,a Navy SEAL! A person can't really know all they do or have to do unless you are one.
Good Book
This was a good book but not recommended for kids. A LOT of adult language and references. Overall good theme and story line. Just like Seal Team Six though only shortened.
Loved it
My 11year old son read this book and absolutely loved it. It really gave him a greater appreciation for our military and the perilous lives they lead to serve and protect. He gave it to my husband and both grandparents to read and they all enjoyed it as well.
Wow!
Loved the whole thing and was very impressed with the writer's account of the situation. Wa on the edge of my seat and couldn't put it down.
Four Stars
A gift to one of my grandsons he enjoyed reading the book.
Good Story
I don't typically read books like this but I do love autobiographies and nonfiction stories. This one touches the heart and is well-written.

Husband's thing
My husband enjoyed it. He wasn't in the service and so he lives vicariously through the books. Easy to read.
Very special read.
I just read 'Lone Survivor', then this book. It was pretty harrowing when Howard spoke of British soldier telling story with the part about being identified on a mission. Wow. Thank you for your service, Howard.
I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior: Memoirs of an American Soldier
This is a great read. It is a different version of SEAL Team Six: Memoirs of an Elite Navy SEAL Sniper. It is still a great read and for younger readers. I have both and love reading them both.
Waste of money
All this book is, is a shortened, condensed version of Wasdin's book "Seal Team 6" that has been written down to about a 6th grade level. I purchased Seal Team 6 and absolutely loved it......pre-ordered this thinking it would be a "further adventures of....." type book, but all it turned out to be is an easy reading version of Seal Team 6. Don't waste your money on this....it is a total disappointment. "Seal Team 6" was great and I do recommend that the extra money be spent and get the full length book. I tried to rate this ZERO stars, but it wouldn't let me, so I had to give it one star, but this book is not worthy of it.
Great book!
I don't usually read these type of books, but I saw Howard while flipping channels and he was very genuine. I really enjoyed the book. I learned a lot and got a glimpse into a warriors life.
everything about their work
I love this book
Good Seals Story
Good war story about the Seals and their exploits in Somalia.
Awesome in depth view of Seal Team 6
One of the most intriguing stories about America's elite Seal Teams A must read for all that appreciate our men and women that protect our country from our enemies. I have nothing but the greatest admiration for the SEALS
Amazing
The best book I have ever read I'm a 14 year old boy and it is my dream to become a Marine sniper or anything that my country needs me to do to help keep them/US safe
Elite warrior and an elite book
Great book. This book is outstanding. I would recommend it to any and everybody. Howard Wasdin is a true hero and he explains sacrifices heroes of the elite special forces have to make.
book
I bought this book for my son so he could use it to complete a school project. I am looking forward to reading it myself when I find the time and patience.

Great book
I think the book was the best I have read so far in life it's amazing the stuff this guy went through and it was written really nice and good worded.
Awesome book
My 11-year old loves this book! Very inspirational and a great story. REcommended for any age. Certainly not the way you want to become a SEAL but inspiration for kids that have that drive.

An honest and true story of one of our bravest seals, who almost died for his country. Very interesting and informative. Gary Moore, USN
Great Read
Great story and so shocking to see what these men have gone through. It is great to see what happens inside the missions of these amazing men.
Great book, Great author!
Howard has become my fav author. The real life exploits and humor is fantastic. I'm now starting his other books, "fictional", that I can't put down!
Respect. Read a true story about a true hero.
Well-written. Salute to the hero.

I bought this book for my husband as a gift, i did not know that this book was written for CHILDREN. It says somewhere in fine print for ages 12 and up if this was a re-write it should say in bold letters in the title so you know that you are getting a book for kids or adults. Now i wasted my money giving my husband a gift that he cannot enjoy reading as it is for kids. It would be a waste to return this...bait and switch.
Great book, definitely worth the money!
This is a great book that hows the strength and courage that not only Seal operatives but every one of our nations proud service men and women. Would buy this again!
good
It was good. A little slow at first but I liked the detail about his training and the experiences he had.
Never forget our military men who died and returned to our great nation. They sacrificed their all for US.
We can never repay them. We owe everything we have to them. Their commitment and service is beyond the call .
Best book ever
it was a great book you should be a author and thank you for your service I want to join the seals now XD
Nice book
I liked the way that the author tells his history, his thoughts, feelings and emotions when he was in battle or training.
Explosive
The book eas very in depthand detal. I suggest this book to anyone to everyone. To me the book was outstanding
Great for teen boys
My 13 year old son, who does not care to read loved this book. Now he wants to read more books like it.
Amazing book
This is the best book ever made. The attention to detail is amazing. I recommend this book to anyone who sees this book,
Excellent. Five Stars
Excellent book. Being a fifteen year old guy with aspirations of joining the navy after high school, this book has become one of my favorites.

Full of Lies
This dudes book is full of lies. Not one of his statements about the 2/14 Inf are remotely true.
Very good short read
Throughout high school my time to enjoy and read books for my pleasure has gone away because generally we don’t get to pick our books. Reading “ I am a seal team six warrior” was a nice path back to reading books I enjoy. I’ve always enjoyed books about war and true stories war, but have never read a memoir until now. This memoir I’d recommend to anyone who loves true stories about war from a first person prospective. The book is split up into 3 major sections. Part 1,2, and 3. In part 1 he talks about his early childhood, Howard E. Wasdin grew up very poor having a mom that was young at the time of his birth and his dad abused him. As he grew up, being beaten on a regular schedule made him stronger both physically and mentally. When he was finally old enough to move out a army poster caught his eye, and as he started to enlist he heard about the navy seals, the most dangerous and toll taking branch of the military. Howard was very motivated by his past and wanted to succeed in something to get a sense of accomplishment. Part 2 is one of the more interesting sections to read. In part 2, Howard Changes narrative structure and uses chunks from his war logs/ diaries. To me it makes the book more engaging and enjoyable to read because your reading about what he thought in the moment, at the science instead of what he remembers about the situations from memory. In part 3 he finishes off his stories from memory, which to me was the least interesting part of the book. I feel as if he could have continued chunks of his diaries in part 3 to make the reader more engaged instead of flip flopping between narrative structures and different writing styles which makes the book very hard to follow . I found myself lost at times trying to figure out where he left off in each section. All in all its a great book and I’d recommend it to anyone that likes true war stories. Don’t read this book if you get lost easily, each section picks up in a different spot and has a different narrative structure. To me I still found this book very engaging and grabbing my attention throughout the whole book.
One Star
Would have liked to read this but again didn't get it
Very accessible to a younger audience
Many aspects of this book were absolutely fascinating. I enjoyed (in a better-you-than-me-but-holy-cow-that's-impressive kind of way) reading about all the training that Howard went through, from joining the Navy through becoming a SEAL and then later a sniper. Learning some of the history of the SEALs was neat too. Seeing the events of the movie Black Hawk Down (yes, I'm sure the book was better and more accurate--I'm planning on reading it too--soon) from another perspective was really interesting as well. And I just can't get past the fact that the author met Rudy from Survivor; I had no idea that Rudy Boesch was such a well-known individual in the military world. I shared quite a bit of this book with others while I was reading it; I just couldn't help myself. There were many times that I didn't want to put this book down, and I'd already purchased a print copy for my classroom library before I was even halfway done with my digital one. The authors did a decent job of taking what must be a challenging adult book and making it more accessible to a younger audience. At times narrative transitions were less than smooth, because it appeared that a larger chunk of information must have been pared out of this version. The end result was a bit of choppiness in the tale, but overall it doesn't really detract from the narrative. I think readers from middle school on up can find a lot to relate to in many parts of this memoir, and in fact I have read parts of it out loud to my classes already. If the grown up version happened to cross my path, I definitely wouldn't be adverse to reading it as well.
I enjoyed reading "I am a Seal Team six warrior" by ...
I enjoyed reading "I am a Seal Team six warrior" by Howard Wasdin because the book was thrilling and it kept me on my toes. It was a bout a man named Howard who was hit by his stepdad when he was a little kid an when he joined the navy seals he seemed to not feel the physical pain as much as the other men who had tried because he was beaten so much by his stepdad growing up. Howard Wasdin served in the services for 12 years and was medically retired. The book is great and I think that if you lie soldier type of books then you will love this book.
A Fast and Easy Read
A memoir that gives us an overview of Howard Wasdin childhood, his entry into the Navy and the events that lead him too become a U.S. Navy SEAL. The book has a very brief overview of his life before joining the SEALs and his life after leaving the Navy. The main narrative focused on his time in the Navy outlining his various training assignments, a few missions but mainly the book goes into depth on his involvement in the Battle of Mogadishu. The main operation which most people will know from the book and/or movie 'Black Hawk Down' is shown through his eyes; a member of SEAL Team Six and a Special Forces sniper. It does not glorify combat and shows the horrific cost too both sides in a conflict. His accounts are straight forward and should help anyone realize what the military Special Forces do for their country. He also shares his mental state as a successful SEAL member, too being wounded several times in the battle and finally the stress of being home and separated from the close knit support one gets use too being a member of a specialized unit. This book has been adapted for young readers and I would suggest for any adult who wishes too read this book to find the adult version.
When the Seals send their best they send Seal Team Six.
I really think this book is great for pre-teens and teens who look up to our nation's armed forces. The author, Howard E. Wasdin, finds a great way to start off this autobiography by telling the reader about a small section of his time in Operation Desert Storm. As he starts to go into the book he tells the reader about his childhood and how his father left his mother and him to survive for themselves. When he grew older Howard's mother marries his step-father. After his step-father moved in, Howard starts to get brutally beaten by his step-dad. Those beating led Howard to want to be in the armed forces. When he started as a Navy Seal he went through BUDs on the West Coast in the beautiful state of California. As he graduated BUDs with Seal Team Two, his commanding officer told him that he would be able to move up the ropes and join the infamous Seal Team Six. When Wasdin finishes his Seal training he joins Seal Team Six and his first orders are to join Army Rangers and Delta Force in the famous battle of Mogadishu. After he arrives in Mogadishu he watches as the Rangers take the city under siege. Before gearing up, he observes a Black Hawk helicopter go down and now he wants blood. He eventually seeks out Adid, the warlord of Mogadishu, and the Seals find him and capture him. At the end of the book the author talks about the aftermath of his injuries and his new job as a chiropractor in Georgia. The book kept my interest because he has an easy way of explaining his experiences. I also like the book because Howard E. Wasdin's personal story of overcoming his childhood is inspiring. Overall it is a very good book and I encourage other teens to read it.
good book
I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior written by Howard E. Easton and Stephen Templin is overall a very good book. The book is a biography about Howard Wasdin's life starting at a young age to becoming a SEAL Team Six warrior, the elite of the elite and the most skilled group of soldiers in America. Wasdin throughout the story overcame obsticals in his childhood and through out the rest of his life that most people will never have to endure. During his child hood, Wasdind felt with an abusive step father that never showed him the love that most fathers and sons share with one another. Wasdin didn't know it at the time but this unfortunate childhood built him up to become a determined, strong, and perisistant human being to complete and over come any goal or obsticals put in his way. This attitude towards his life really helped and assisted Wasdin to become a Navy SEAL. One of the many steps to become a Navy SEAL is Hell Week. The name isn't surger coated, except the complete opposite, its hell. Anybody who wants to complete it needs the highest amount of perserverence and determination. Wasdin, from his challenging childhood, realized that pain is only temporary and the accomplishment of completing a goal completely out weighs the pain and suffering one must go through when completing a goal. Wasdins goal was to become a Navy SEAL and going through hell was worth the pain of becoming one of the most elite soldiers America has to offer. The rest of the book tells Wasdin's life as a SEAL Team Six warrior. It tells stories that many people cannot rap their heasd around. Readers are left mind boggled and a state of disbelief of what soldiers and especially the most skilled and elite of the soldiers endure and accomplish to keep America safe and free. I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior is a highly regarded book that not only tells the story of Howard Wasdin but inner meanings such as what is needed to complete goals and get rewarded in life.
An amazing TRUE story of an American hero!
This book was my best read so far this year, filled with action, introspection and lessons from a real life American hero!
Extraordinary courage
The courage described in this book is amazing; however, the manner in which it is written leaves a bit to be desired as it is sometimes confusing or flat. It's an eye-opening account of overcoming obstacles and finding purpose.
this book was amazing
this book took you behind the scenes of what it was like on how hard it was and how physically, and mentally tough you had to be to become a navy seal. One of the best parts of the book was when they talked about BUDS, which stands for basic underwater demolition school and that's where they are trained to be a navy seal. this part was baffling they had to do that for six months and they also had to go through hell week and out of those seven days they only got 4 hours of sleep. Everyone should read this book, it shows you how easy we have it. Cavan weber
Hi
I really liked how action pact it is I also like that it tells the story in first person.
incredible book
this book is simply incredibly (sorry im still looking for a better word to describe) fabouesly fascinating and wonderfully written, definetly one of them best military books out there, the book is basically about how Howard (the author) overcomes a rough childhood to fullfill his dreams of becoming a elite sniper for seal team six this book also shows us that nothing should hold us back from completing are dreams, anyway Howard is later found in the battle of Mogadishu which is supposed to take a quick half hour but takes a whole lot longer, after the battle he struggles with stress and depression and even has suicidle thoughts,( now dont get me wrong he is a great man but the stress from war isnt fun )later he learns to get over his depression and to think about his future which makes him become a fabouleous chiropractor. overall he has put his life to great use first helping america in the military then later helping patients. we should be like him and serve our country in whatever ways we can. (off topic: to learn more about the brave men who risked thier lives in the battle of mogadishue watch "Black Hawk Down" by ridley scott) finally God bless brave people like howard wasdin who risk thier lives for our country. GOD BLESS
BEST BOOK READ
I had to read this book for one of my classes. This is one of my favorite books I`ve ever read. This book is basically about a kid trying to achieve his dreams to become the best sniper in the world, and to be apart of the Seal Team Six Warriors. He had a very tough childhood growing up; his parents would abuse him and show him no love. But he would never give up on his dreams. He went through all the processes and training's to become a Seal Team Six Warrior and he made it. He became a member of the Seal Team Six Warriors and the best sniper in the world. He participated in fighting in the war of Mogadishu. He fought against Mohammed Adid`s Militia, and during the war he got injured so he had to retire. He continued school and became a Chiropractor. This book really taught me many life lessons such as "Never give up on your dreams, no matter what the situation is." And "Never let anybody tell you, you cant." This is the best book to read! Highly recommend it!
" was an amazing book. It was amazing because Howard put others ...
Overall, "I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior," was an amazing book. It was amazing because Howard put others ahead of himself and cared for others' lives instead of his own. Also, it shows what hardships and difficulties soldiers have to face when they see their families and with themselves after deployment. Also, be sure to pay attention for the quotes on each part of the book. Overall, I love how he shows a beginning, during, and after life of a soldier. I recommend this book to people who like adventure and war books.

Great Read
I can' t say enough about this book seal team six was an excellent outcit. I was a Marine and was very impressed about their tra
I would like to meet the guys in the seal team six there report is outstanding and there life as a Seal mush have been uneventful
great book!!
Great book, glad I read the teen version. The idea of being seemly fearless is an important one. To not show fear, even if it exists in you, is very important. What a brave man
Excellent
What another reviewer said is incorrect. It's not written "down." It's shorter and condensed, but has the full story and all of the impact of the original version, a deserved bestseller. Mr. Wasdin's story is fascinating. Highly recommended. (For some reason there's no "Verified Purchase" label, but it was.)
Good, but NOT for kids!
I bought this book at the Scholastic Book Fair. It's very good, and tells all that a SEAL has to go through--similar to what I've read before--but I would NOT recommend this book for kids, due to all the swear words. I know someone will say that kids read (and hear) these words all the time, but--it's not right. I am reviewing this book, but am going to quit; I have only gotten a little ways and my page is filling up with plenty of "hells." The story so far is good--the author lets us know how extremely physically fit he was--although several men are coldly killed in the first pages. I expected more out of the book, being a Scholastic book intended for kids--but I was disappointed.
Wow!
This is a cool book. i would definiy buy the other books by him if i had the money. i would also recommend No Easy Day by i forget who, but it is about the Osama Bin Laden raid. just so u know, both books start with training, which they make exciting. 2 awesome books
Could not stop reading
Great book and a story that only a hero could share.
Five Stars
son loved this book - actually read this summer!
Entertaining
One of the main reasons I bought it is because I read "Black Hawk Down" and it is mostly about Delta Force. So, I was interested in what the small ST6 contingent was doing there as well. Those rivalries :) Btw Mr Wasdin, I think i figured out who "sourpuss" is. It must be Chuck Esswein? No
Excellent book
My 12 year old bought this book for me from his school. I loved it. I'm not a historian and can get lost in the exhaustive historical detail of some adult books. This book was very intense without being bogged bogged down by a lot of historical detail. I am not criticizing those who enjoy a lot of historical detail.
AWESOME BOOK
I was so glad this book was on my summer read list it does have crap and hell in there and it is a awesome book about seal team six
Great book
The book was able to keep my interest. It was well written and informative. It was exciting and made you want to keep reading. We've ordered the other 2 books by this Author.
Excellent Book
Absolutely a fantastic read
Very interesting
Very intriguing and well written and is also one of those books that has you on the edge of your seat. 100/100 A+

A great read!!!
A decent YA version of a hero's tale
I received this book for free through Goodreads First Reads. I think this is a tough subject to translate into a YA book, and I think the authors did a decent job of doing so. The difficulty of paring down the text to a simpler version for the younger audience showed sometimes in disjointed paragraphs as they moved quickly from one event to another with little transition, however the story did keep me interested and Howard E. Wasdin is a man to be admired for his service to this country. I'm glad that he included background on his childhood and his military training before we learn the details of his overseas service as it added to the reader's understanding of his character and special skills. I also like that he addresses life post-war and doesn't shy away from the effects the battles had on him without undermining or disrespecting the military. In all I would say that younger readership, particularly boys, could be pulled into reading with subjects such as these, although the graphic and adult nature of some of the topics necessitate that parents be conscious of their child's reaction to the story and discuss it with them
Wish it would have said it was just an abridged version
It's not that it's a bad book but having his other one makes this one a waste of money. Not having gotten this from amazon where it says this book is a "special edition" version of Seal Team Six, I bought this book with no warning that it's just an abridged version.
Those men give so much to USA
Enjoyed it very much!
total waste
this book is a total waste of money if you bought the previous book by howard wasdin. this new book is basicly the same book but just worded differently. if i had known this is what the book was, i would not have even wasted one penny on this peice of crap.
Great book
Excellent book, read it within a few days. Would highly recommend. I have read quite a few books regarding navy seals and this one is near the top.
a very good read
This book is not all gun-ho it tells the story from the view of one man, from his early years, through his teens up to when he joined the navy etc etc, i rate this book, its a good read
Excellent
Stories told by a former Navy Seal, Team Guy, this item contains some of the background stories I needed in my research.
