Truly life changing. If you want to learn how to read the Bible, and understand what you're reading, this book is for you. It is so much better to read and discover what the Lord is telling you, without someone else interpreting it for you. As you go through scripture, you will grow from discerning the word for yourself. Kay Arthur give god, practical teaching for studying the Bible. Be sure to get the workbook also.

It is an excellent book on the major parts of the bible. It briefly goes over inductive reading. It is meant for people who have intermediate knowledge of the bible already. it would NOT be good for a new Christian, they would be overwhelmed and confused. However for a intermediate bible student it brings out some good points. I was really hopeful that the book was going to hold-my-hand on how to do a inductive reading. point by point, no it does not. Although she does have booklets on each book of the bible for blow-by-blow of inductive reading- that's what I need.

The inductive study is really amazing. You get to search for the answers. She gives you the way to study and where to find answers. And if you do one of her studies, you are asked questions to seek the answers to. She has a video for each study that you play after you are done with that lesson and she provides tons of bible verses that reference are expound on what you've studied. In the end you will find things out you never noticed before. You find truly find out and get to understand who God is and how truly amazing he is. It is truly something I will use the rest of my life.

Excellent practical treatment of the inductive Bible Study method. So much richness can be drawn from the scriptures if we know how to mine it. I've been a fan of the method since I read a Navigator's study book 30+ years ago. This up to date treatment gives ideas for how to mark various words with specific symbols to catch your eye and teaches you the Why questions you can ask that will help you go deeper. This has a companion workbook and there is now a hardcover Inductive Bible Study Bible with wide margins to keep your notes permanently. It follows the basic guidelines of Observe, Interpret and Apply. Lots of charts, worksheet and other tips. I plan to use this with my small group to teach them to go deeper in the scriptures. This is not specific to any denomination or set of teaching.. just a way to ask questions and examine the scriptures for yourself!

Very detailed. Easy to read and follow. The information that you take away is priceless. I believe this will be a book that I refer to often, mainly just to keep the process fresh in my mind as I study. Love all of the Precepts materials that are out. The Lord, Teach Me To Study in 28 days is a condensed version of this book and is also amazing. I own them both. Kudos to the Precepts team!

I was really excited to see this book was available for those of us who are not in the new market for a bible, but looking for the instructions on the inductive bible study process. For some time I had been weighing the decision to purchase the actual Study Bible from the same publisher. It contained a full bible plus the inductive process instructions. However it was really pricey, and I already had a great bible in my collection. This book allowed me to explore the inductive study method at a more affordable price, without having to purchase the bible too.

I use this book along with several others for my Bible Study classes and I find it to come in very handy as another opinion to help make scripture more clearly understood.

A thorough but actionable guide for personally discovering for yourself what the Bible says. Also includes a review of much deeper concepts, such as Greek verb tense, mood, and voice. This is both an invitation to enter a beautiful new understanding of the Bible, as well as a textbook for regular guidance on deeper understanding.

This Bible has changed the way I study! I love the wider margins for taking notes, but this Bible is filled with pertinent tables, illustrations, maps, etc., that really make it quite a single resource. If you're looking to deepen your study you also have all the pages on the inductive system and some very helpful tips on Observation, Interpretation, and Application. I am very glad I bought this!!!

This book open up scripture in a unique way, by reading and asking myself the 5 questions I was giving insight into scripture thwart was exciting.

In high school English classes, students are required to annotate, keep dialectic journals, and keep Cornell notes about books that they are reading for school work. Although I've been out of high school for 6 years, I still remember all of that. I think this is a great way to REALLY get to understand God's word and from that, get to know God. Being able to know what God is saying helps you to be able to get to His heart and learn from His love.

I live doing the precept studies, this book helps me with this type of study.

THE BEST STUDY BIBLE EVER. THE BEST PREACHERS I'VE EVER HEEARD GRADUATED FROM COLLEGE WERE ENGLISH MAJORS. BECAUSE OF THERE GRASP OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE THEY WERE ABLE TO CLEARLY STUDY AND PRESENT THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF SCRIPTURE SO PEOPLE COULD UNDERSTAND. THEY WERE NOT SUBJECT TO RELIGIOUS BIAS. HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE GIVES ME THE OPPORTUNITY TO PRACTICE THE SAME THING.

This book was one of the best I've seen for helping someone study the Bible. I've been a Christian for around 40 years and love to read. I also have a degree in print journalism, so I've seen lots of books (some which should not be in print), and this one is in the top two on my list of Bible study helps, aside from reference books.

Just wasn't what I was looking for. I did like some of the pointers for consideration as you read and study e. But I found the rest much like a college text book that is very dry and took effort to get through it. Seemed to be repetitive with worksheets that I would find ...again like a college class.

This is one of the best study books I've ever had. Requires real immersion in the Scriptures. I was intimidated at first due to all the colors & "figuring out meaning " all by myself but following chapter by chapter I have studied deeper than ever before. Just jump in

Fabulous resource! I keep ordering copies of this book to give away! I was one of the many who grew up in the church but had never been taught to study the Bible in this life-changing way. This was the key that unlocked the Truth for me!

This method studying the Bible is time consuming and you will get much more out of it than you put into it.

Book was great! I got it to help me with the Precept Upon Precept Romans study. Definitely a must have to remember what each step of studying your bible looks like.

This book is so awesone, it really details you in how to really study your bible and analyze everything in the bible.

I just started reading this book. It is very helpful in my study of the Bible. Also, the book arrived on time as expected.

Clear and concise, helps to avoid "chasing rabbits'. Keeps the student on track. Great teaching aids to extract what the message truly is without guess work. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a deeper experience with God.

Wow! Very good info in this book no matter what bible or study you are doing.

At first glance this seemed to be an interesting tool. But, it got repetitive, and way beyond fun. Instead of studying the bible you are studying the method. The clencher was her very pointed opinion on Catholic's belief in the Eucharist. For a supposedly non denominational study method I saw no reason to slam our belief because she deems her view to be perfect. Wish I could get my ten bucks back, deleted the book. Not worth it.
