First of all...BUY THIS BOOK! It was absolutely amazing. It was so much fun to read. A loving eagle couple that would just about do anything for their eggs, eaglets and juveniles to when they first fledge and beyond the nest. Wow I laughed and I cried. I felt like I was so in the moment of the story that I was actually sitting right there in the nest with this beautiful family of eagles. (told from their perspective as well as others) I had so many emotions. Not only was the book fun but it was also very educational. For anyone just starting out for their love of eagles to someone with a true passion, you will absolutely love this book! Stop reading my review and get it NOW!

I became an bald eagle lover through the SWFL eagle cam Harriet, M15 and E9 in Fort Myers, FL in 2016. When I heard of this book, I had to read it! What an impeccable job Lauren did as she made the eagles and the eaglets come to life with personalities that are perfection! Lauren also does a wonderful job educating the reader about bald eagles and their environment. The illustrations are amazing as she captures the many personalities of the beloved eagle family! I savored the book as I read it! Well done Lauren, I can’t wait for the sequel!

I received my book yesterday and started it. I am totally enjoying it and Lauren’s bringing our sweet eagles and their story to us in a way that truly makes you feel and see them in a whole new light. I can just see them having these conversations with the things that happened to them in their real lives. I will admit I did bawl with the part about our sweet Ozzie and Harriets grief. Just a wonderful book and I would encourage any eagle fan to purchase it. Love it!!!

An easy read for young and old alike. I needed to take a break from reading this book, so I could say how much I am enjoying it. It is such a vacation from the hustle and bustle of my day, to be transported to life in a tree. I have learned so much about eagles and even got reminded of some sad facts about human behaviors that affect these magnificent birds. I know my grand kids will enjoy learning, while they are entertained by the antics of siblings, and the pride and protection of parents. Delightful storytelling with humor, excitement and lots of love. At such a reasonable price, I bought extra copies to have on hand for future gifting.

I have been watching the famous SWFL eagles for several years. When I heard about this book, I knew I had to buy it. The book is very well written and will make you cry at times, but mostly make you smile. Thank you Harriet and M15 for helping me get through some very tough times. Thank you Lauren Roberts for writing such a wonderful book.

Lauren weaves her amazing storytelling ability around the real life adventures of the famous E9 eaglet, and his famous parents, Harriet and M15 of Southwest Florida. She writes with humor and love for this beautiful eagle family. Not only is it so wonderfully written, but it is educational as well. This is a book that the entire family can enjoy together. I couldn’t put it down!

Watching E9 from TVs coverage of his hatching on New Years Eve until he started his journey north, gave me a reason to get up every morning during a sad time of loss for me. This book helped me re-live the ups and downs before & during our precious time with E9.

The life of an eagle family is told in a way that cannot be made better. I read the first book with great motivation to find out what life is like for an eagle. the author shows how connected she is with these proud birds and gives the reader an incredible deep insight into her feelings, to protect these animals and to let their nature be. many thanks to the author.
