Harry Potter Books 1-7 Special Edition Boxed Set

I was never a Harry Potter fan when the first few books came out. I only became a fan when the first movie was playing in theaters. I went to see it in November, unhappily, since a younger cousin had rented a theater for his birthday and cousins my age were going. I originally wasn't happy to be there but that quickly changed as I was hooked within the first few minutes. Later that month I received the first 2 books for my birthday. After reading the first 2 books I purchased the other books available at the time, read them, and then bought the remaining books in the series as they became available. I still have the hardcover books on a bookshelf in my room. This box set was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the first book being released. I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn't see anything that I "had to have" until now. This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom. I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. -The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other. -The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end. -The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it. -I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book. What I'm not crazy about: -The box the books get stored in is made out of cardboard - not the most appealing way to store the books but the box looks great, is sturdy, and it should keep the books in good condition for years to come.

Costco is known for having cheap prices, I saw the books sold individually at Costco but the price for this set was cheaper about $10 on Amazon. This was a gift for my god daughter and she loved it. Arrived when expected. no problems!

The books came in pretty good condition but as for the cardboard box case, holding the books it got beat up a bit. Would of paid a bit extra for a better case then cardboard which will get damaged overtime and its a shame given the art and pictures around the case.

Awful quality. A giant chunk of pages (almost half the book) fell out because of poor glue quality on the binding. Returned.

Love this edition of the HP series! The box is super cool and on the inside there’s a homage to the Dark Lord, which was unexpected but very cool! Shipping was fantastic, it got here a day early, which is always nice. The box that carries the books was a little damaged on the corners, however. Which is an issue because of course it’s going to be displayed next to all my other HP merch.

I wanted to reread the Harry Potter series but after moving out of my parents house many years ago (and going through many, many more moves as an adult), I no longer had any of my original books. This new cover art is beautiful in person and in case you were wondering, the chapter illustrations are the original Mary Grandpre artwork. I think it would have been interesting to have new chapter illustrations done by Brian Selznick but Grandpre did such a great job the first time around it's hard to complain. The books arrived very quickly and undamaged. I saw other reviews had issues with page misprintings/bad bindings so I immediately flipped though each book and the only issues seem to be that every once in a while there is a page that didn't get quite enough ink so that the words are a dark grey and not a solid black. Every page is completely legible despite that tiny issue so I would wholeheartedly recommend this set.

The case and book covers look great. Some reported missing pages. I am into book 2 and have not had any issues. I skimmed the other books and did not see any issues. I have 2 more months to finish the series to make sure there is no missing pages. But so far all is good.

These books are perfect! I had the older collection but ended up loosing quite a few of the books throughout the years and decided I was ready for a new set because I wanted to reread them. I was worried about some of the reviews stating the books were in bad condition, pages were missing, two of the same book ,etc. But I checked through each of my books and all of them had great binding, the correct number of pages and they were in amazing condition! I was very happy with this purchase and I am already on the third book. I am loving the beautiful covers and the box (even though it's just cheap cardboard) is super cool to hold them in.

I just got the set in the mail today! As soon as I opened the set to inspect the books, I pulled out the second book to find the cover bent and ripped. It was printed weird. You can tell from the pictures. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Be warned. The box set that was pictured with the diamond pattern on the spines is not what we received. We received a box set with just the titles on the spines, no special design. If all you want is the books this is great. If you want that particular design don't trust Amazon, go somewhere else. Really do not appreciate the misrepresentation as this was intended as a gift.

Costco is known for having cheap prices, I saw the books sold individually at Costco but the price for this set was cheaper about $10 on Amazon. This was a gift for my god daughter and she loved it. Arrived when expected. no problems!

Purchased as a gift to myself and I’m so pleased with it. Beautiful illustrations spread across the seven covers if you lay the books side by side, and Voldemort’s face is in the back of the box. It’s terrifying and awesome. A thoughtfully designed book set.

I bought this set as a gift for my nephew since he's getting into the Harry Potter series, it shipped to them and got there in perfect condition. The covers are beautiful (they Face Timed me when he opened it) and the nifty box will help him keep them all together. My sister was pleased with the paperbacks since the hardcovers are a bit too bulky for him yet. I'm strongly debating getting another set for myself since I'm missing some in my collection.

I love Harry Potter. I had collected all the books from early 2000 through the end of the series. Unfortunately, I lost all my books through a series of moves. I had been able to get them all in kindle format, but I still wanted the actual books I could hold in my hands. When my husband received an Amazon gift card, he told me to order a set. Beautiful covers. I cannot wait to dig into the books.

This Harry Potter Books 1-7 Special Edition Boxed Set was the PERFECT GIFT for our Junior High grandson! He was so excited to receive it, and Grandma and I were so proud to give it. It is a beautiful collection at a GREAT PRICE that arrived so quickly. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to make their child or grandchild a happy camper!

Love these books but this version was a little fragile. The edges of the cover would start to come up off of the paper so a black film started to peel and I simply taped it back but had to do it to all the bigger books. I think it’s just from holding it for so many hours, it didn’t bother me but it could bother some.

I wasn't much of a reader as a kid. I am still not a big reader but with Covid I figured lets give it a go. I read the entire box set and though the printing quality isn't amazingly high but everything was readable. I am sure a few more people will read these before the set gets passed on or sold for good. But in general, I am really happy I took the time to see what all the stink was about.

My daughter wanted to read Harry Potter, as she had only seen the films. I could not find the original set (at a decent price), but this was offered at a great price. Ordered this set with the extra play-based book. Shipped quickly and arrived in excellent condition.

It came a day early (which is awesome) and in great condition. None of the books where damaged or missing pages. I had all the right copies and the cover art is AMAZING. These books are presented so well, and I am not even a Harry Potter fan (an old grandmother), but am tempted to read them (at least two) BEFORE presenting them to my 13 year old granddaughter on Christmas day, which she is going to be over the moon to receive. After reading the first 2 books I purchased the other books available at the time, read them, and then bought the remaining books in the series as they became available. I still have the hardcover books on a bookshelf in my room. This box set was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the first book being released. I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn't see anything that I "had to have" until now. This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom. I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. -The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other. -The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end. -The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it. -I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book. What I'm not crazy about: -The box the books get stored in is made out of cardboard - not the most appealing way to store the books but the box looks great, is sturdy, and it should keep the books in good condition for years to come.

Bought this for our youngest child back in November. She just started reading it a few days ago and we just found out that Book 1 (Sorcerer's Stone) is missing 33 pages (See Photo). Given how long its been since we bought the set, it's not returnable. She is the first to read them. We now have a "new" set that is flawed/incomplete. I will say, the covers on the books are absolutely beautiful. It would be a really nice set with better quality control. Need to go through and see if the other books are missing pages.

However, I waited a few weeks to actually look at the books and discovered that I had two copies of book #6, and was missing #4. Since I was past the 30-day return window, I couldn't exchange it. I recently ordered the missing volume, but $12 at Target was the best deal I could find. Aside from that disappointment, this anniversary series looks good.

I’d give this a 5 star review because the series is great, but some of the books in my box set have odd slivers of blank pages throughout them, stuck in the binding.

The box was nice, the books are what they are supposed to be, and if you are wandering why is this so cheap its the quality of the books. The paper is veeery thin, you can easily see the letters in the next page through the one you are reading. The glueing (for lack of a better english term cause I am not a native enlish speaker) of the book is a lower than average job, some books have waves in the way they are glued. Bottom line. Classic Harry Potter books, Readalbe, but very bad quality. Recommended for a cheap gift to an acquaintance but not for something to be proud of having in your collection

Good set overall, nice cover art and box, but Chamber of Secrets is poorly binded. The one in my first order was awful and made it unreadable. I had to order an entire new set just to replace Chamber of Secrets so I did and then the second one came still with poor binding but not as bad. Thinking about replacing this second order for a third. It must be a print issue from the manufacturer with just that one book.

This collection is exactly what my niece wants for her bday. It's a gift and it hasn't been given yet. I am very happy with the quality of the box the set came in. Also very happy that there was no damage to the set in the shipping process.

The set arrived quicker than promised! This is the classic American set, with a new and amazing cover! The books are the same size, even down to the same page count as the classic American version that has the purple, red, teal, burgundy, blue, green, and orange covers. The covers feel just as durable as the others!

Growing up, Harry Potter was always a title that I had read. All of the stories equally have a place in my heart, and this book set really complements the series. The cover art has sort of a charcoal aesthetic that is really pleasing to the eye and depicts many of the events that happened throughout the series, unlike the regular covers. There is no doubt in my mind that this is indeed a special edition set with the Harry Potter fan in mind.

My children love the Harry Potter series and have read them several times. These were for my college kid, she wanted her own set to read again and again.

Love the series and the Wizarding World! Nice cover art and printing. Received in a flawless condition with NO printing defects or missing pages, unlike as mentioned in a few reviews.

This special edition has great illustrations that make it different and special. The case holding the books is sturdy and looks neat for the kids. 100% recommend.

Awful Quality Binding glue come apart and pages are constantly falling out. A giant chunk of pages (almost half the book) fell out because of poor glue quality on the binding. I love the box and the design of the books so I desided to keep them, but really it was a huge waste of money, because, why would you buy books you can't even read in fear they will break even more in you hands.

Bought it as a Christmas present for one of my huge Harry Potter fan friend and she loved it, it did not come damaged it came in perfect condition, I absolutely love the illustration covers.

As others have stated, there are occasional pages with thin ink, not a huge problem, perfectly legible, other than that they are perfect, the artwork is fantastic. At 30 years old I can’t believe I passed on this series as a kid, I can see all the hype now. This may be THE best series I’ve ever read, I’ve read the first 3 in just a few short weeks, we’ll see how the larger final 4 hold up. Slowly but surely surpassing the Lonesome Dove series (the series as a whole, no book will top Lonesome Dove 😉), A Song of Ice and Fire, and LOTR. Great value, don’t hesitate to buy.

I like the design of the book set. I bought this as a gift for my daughter and we are surprised about the quality of paper back materials. Context is clear and very readable plus the box design is also nice. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend it if you don't want to spend a lot of money for a set of Harry Potter.

The whole set is in good condition as well as the box, but I went through just to look at all of the books and noticed something at the beginning of Half-Blood Prince. The first few pages were ripped. It looks like it got caught on a machine possibly. I saw other reviews saying their pages were missing, but I didn't see that as an issue with my set. This was on sale when I bought it (I wanted the whole set since I love the series) so I'm glad I got it at a lower price than usual, but a little disappointed that my pages were ripped.

The books look good, I haven’t unwrapped the plastic since it’s a gift. I took away stars because it was delivered after the birthday party it was intended for, though it was promised the day before initially.

No dents in the book case and even the book itself. Thumbs up to that...to think my location is faraway. And the delivery is faster than I expect(11days). I only gave 4 stars because the quality of the paper and how they bind it is not that good. Looks like it will break apart if I'm not careful while reading it. The paper is not white or yellow..abit dirty white. I haven't scan the books yet hopefully all pages are complete. Costco is known for having cheap prices, I saw the books sold individually at Costco but the price for this set was cheaper about $10 on Amazon. This was a gift for my god daughter and she loved it. Arrived when expected. no problems!

Box looks nice in pictures, but these books are extremely thin and cheaply made. This is not a collectors item, nor suitable for use by kids who aren’t very careful.

I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom. I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. -The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other. -The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end. -The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it. -I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book. I bought these books for my 12 year old daughter to read before we went to Harry Potter at Universal Studios. She loved them. They come in a nice case and are very nice, durable soft cover books. They made the trip to Florida and back with us and still look like the day we bought them.

Great Set, especially for the money. Your buying them for the cover art and that is as advertised so it’s good! My only complaint is that once the books get a little longer than a couple reading sessions worth the bottom of the covers start to peel a bit. Nothing atrocious and if your careful nobody (except you) will probably notice.

No missing books as some reviewers mentioned. and it was very fast shipping! the only thing that i wished the shippers secured the box a little better cause the box that holds the books has a big dent in it. other then that everything was good.

This book set is really nice. I like the unique drawings on the books and at the beginning of the chapters. It is a little creepy to have the side with Harry’s eyes staring into your soul at times though.

The quality of these large paperback books is very good. The boxed set and the box are well made and nice to look at. My son cherishes them and loves to show them off to his friends. Lets not forget the content of the novels which has my son enraptured.

I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn't see anything that I "had to have" until now. This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom. I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. -The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other. -The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end. -The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it. -I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book. Costco is known for having cheap prices, I saw the books sold individually at Costco but the price for this set was cheaper about $10 on Amazon. This was a gift for my god daughter and she loved it. Arrived when expected. no problems!

The first 4 books the pages were bound all weird. Like the spine of the book on the inside was all crumbly - if that makes sense. Cheaply bound. The 5th seems fine. The stories are wonderful of course.

What I'm not crazy about: -The box the books get stored in is made out of cardboard - not the most appealing way to store the books but the box looks great, is sturdy, and it should keep the books in good condition for years to come.

Bought this for our youngest child back in November. She just started reading it a few days ago and we just found out that Book 1 (Sorcerer's Stone) is missing 33 pages (See Photo). Given how long its been since we bought the set, it's not returnable. She is the first to read them. We now have a "new" set that is flawed/incomplete. I will say, the covers on the books are absolutely beautiful. It would be a really nice set with better quality control. Need to go through and see if the other books are missing pages.

I pre-ordered this box set in the spring, and it arrived in September. The art looks good, the box seems relatively sturdy, and it was almost what I hoped for. However, I waited a few weeks to actually look at the books and discovered that I had two copies of book #6, and was missing #4. Since I was past the 30-day return window, I couldn't exchange it. I recently ordered the missing volume, but $12 at Target was the best deal I could find. Aside from that disappointment, this anniversary series looks good.

Beautiful art! Great read. The only concern for future buyers who are all about quality is that some of the pages are faded (probably a bad press) and some of them are unaligned. Not a big deal to me but certainly should be looked into. Thanks!

Costco is known for having cheap prices, I saw the books sold individually at Costco but the price for this set was cheaper about $10 on Amazon. This was a gift for my god daughter and she loved it. Arrived when expected. no problems!

The books came in pretty good condition but as for the cardboard box case, holding the books it got beat up a bit. Would of paid a bit extra for a better case then cardboard which will get damaged overtime and its a shame given the art and pictures around the case.

The box is in good condition but I have read reviews suggesting that isn't always the case. I don't love the praise decorations of the box but those get covered up by the other books on our bookshelf. Considering the usual cost of the entire Harry Potter series, this was very affordable. Everything came in perfect condition. All 7 books were there, no damage to the box. I was a little skeptical at first because of some of the negative reviews but found that no pages were missing, they are great quality, and nothing was damaged. There are a few pages here and there where the words were a bit faded towards the bottom of a page but hardly noticeable. Still able to read it perfectly clear. I absolutely love this set! I would highly recommend buying it if you’re looking for an affordable paperback set! Super fast shipping and worth every penny!

Huge chunks of pages completely separated from the binding/cover of the book such that we can’t easily reread them and they are by no means collector items. Awful quality.

Over the past year I have become obsessed with Harry Potter and wanted my own books. I love this Harry Potter book set and the covers are awesome! The price is very reasonable when comparing to other places! I can’t wait to read them all!

I was very excited to buy the HP books for the first time. The books have cute illustration but the paper and print quality could be a little bit better. Some parts of the text is smeared and some is faded.

Love the design. Super cool that all the books intertwined together.

I went to see it in November, unhappily, since a younger cousin had rented a theater for his birthday and cousins my age were going. I originally wasn't happy to be there but that quickly changed as I was hooked within the first few minutes. Later that month I received the first 2 books for my birthday. After reading the first 2 books I purchased the other books available at the time, read them, and then bought the remaining books in the series as they became available. I still have the hardcover books on a bookshelf in my room. This box set was released as part of the 20th anniversary of the first book being released. I had wanted a boxed paperback set for a while but held off since I didn't see anything that I "had to have" until now. This set is very nice and should be a must for any Harry Potter fan. I did read reviews of other boxed sets and saw some negative comments saying that some books had duplicate pages or even chapters. I looked over what I received and I don't see any of those problems in any of the 7 books. The only negative I have is that my copy of the 7th book has a slight gap between the cover and the first page where the glue wasn't applied as it was at the bottom. I'm not a big reader and I'm careful with my things so I don't think there will be a problem with that area. What I like: -The books are a larger paperback size than what I have at home for other books from a different series. -The black and white covers are lovely and I like the picture all the covers create when they are next to each other. -The books have the first chapter of the next book at the very end. -The books seem to be the same size as the ones released individually so if something happens to a book you can easily replace it. -I can finally use the special bookmarks (pictured, and NOT included in the boxed set) that I purchased to use as I read each book. Great value for an amazing book set.

I love Harry Potter and was in need of the 20th anniversary box set due to my original book from 1997 turning yellow and gentle. The original price is $100 but cyber week sales I got for $43!!!!!! I could cry every time I say that out loud.

I haven't read these stories in close to 13 years. It was a wonderful gift from my husband and the read was just as amazing as I remember it being.

We are loving reading these books to our kids, BUT these are low quality printings. Our set had some damaged pages, many misprints/mispellings, and is overall pretty cheap.
